RP:Shadows in the Snow

Frostmaw Tavern

Kasyr s' currently leaning upon the edge of a table, his particular impromptu seat located near the board on the wall. For all intents and purposes, the Revenants seems rather absorbed with the 'contents' of the board, eyes flickering across the messages posted. The only pause the still snow covered Kensai takes, is to take a fairly large swig from the bottle of bloodwine clutched in his right hand.

(Board post refers to a remnant of the freshly killed Bozrah being tacked to the wood by Satoshi)

Satoshi has her own bottle of blood wine in hand as she wanders into the tavern, a lumbering golem on her heels as this evening's anti-bounty hunter escort. When she spots Kasyr however, the wine quickly disappears up a sleeve as she makes her way to his table, claiming a seat without invitation or greeting. Buster takes up a position nearby and stands sentinel, as equally silent as his magus creator.

Saiyah hastely rushed through the door, not even waiting for the damn thing to fully open. Shivering, pale, and blue in the lips, the Naga clearly wasn't a fan of this new change in climate. She had a peacoat.. but what did that really do in a frozen land like this? Coldblooded, and in great discomfort, she sought the only place she knew close by that provided heat and warmth. The tavern. Slamming the door shut as a gust of wind fought back, Saiyah held it with her back, and desperately looked around.

Kasyr can't help but glance sideways towards Satoshi upon her entrance, a casual wave offered to the cryomancer. Inclining his head towards the board, he can't help but inquire, "So, how did that come about?" It's about that point that the Revenant takes note of Saiyah, shivering serpent offered a a broad grin and an enthusiastic, "Oi, Cherie~ ...You look under the weather."

Satoshi glances from the board, to kensai, to unfamiliar naga, her expression unchanging throughout. It's only after she's spent a moment irritably picking at a stray splinter on the tabletop that she gets around to answering the question, accompanied with a one armed shrug, "Ice, mostly? That's usually how it works for me, no?"

Saiyah couldn't even manage a simple glare, whether it was sarcasm or sypathy he spoke in. Either way, she was slithering as slow as her stiff bones could towards the man, and the board. With teeth chattering, and arms tightly hugged across her chest, she was about to jump into the damn fire. Clouded thoughts had misdirected her aim when recalling last night, and because of so, she was at a lack of focus to recall out. Damn cold..

Kasyr reachs into his pack, and plunks down a pair of bottles on the table, their relative location being the Nagas' vicinity. Beyond that, the Kensai simply scrutinizes Saiyah for a few moments, a peculiar combination of amusement and befuddlement crossing his features. Still, it's not long before he lets his focus drift back towards Satoshi, a secondary prize plucked from his pack and pushed over towards her, "Well congratulations on your triumph, Lady Frostmaw." Given that Ilydias' currently...under wraps, The kensai can be somewhat certain that someone hasn't been constantly gifting bloodwine to Satoshi (and feeding that bad habit of hers).

Satoshi nudges the bottle closer, because even though Svilfon is keeping her well supplied on wine, she can't say no to another free bottle. Nonetheless, she doesn't drink from it, instead choosing to fiddle with the cork while continuing to watch the naga.

Satoshi said to Kasyr, "If you want to call it a triumph."

Saiyah fought with the corked bottle like a gamer would fight a conroller with frozen hands. It wasn't happening. So while she yanked the cork out with her teeth, she'd shoot the Kensai a pleading look, while eyeing Satoshi. A friend? A local perhaps? A few gulps of the brew, and she'd hunker down on a chair.. curling her torso as best she could to retain what scraps of heat she held onto.

Kasyr catchs Saiyahs' look, than carefully presses his thumb onto his wedding band and gives it a little twist. With that aside, the vampire simply offers a little shrug and draws his attention back to Satoshi. "I'd even call it ... a huge success. At least for those of us who are still alive, to enjoy it." Pausing for one moment, the vampire can't help but ask, "Er, do you still have the body, enfin cherie. Or rather, es there one left?"

Redovian makes his way into the tavern.

Satoshi said to Kasyr, "Hard bought, but I suppose so. And yes, what's left of him is still there." The kit gives the wine bottle a particularly dark look by this point, teetering it on its edge with a claw, "They don't go away even after dying..."

Redovian makes his way over towards Satoshi, to offer a bow to his new Queen.

Saiyah tipped the bottle back.. the damn thing draining like a siv. Somewhere in hugging her arms around her body for warmth, and doing her best to hold onto the bottle, the Naga would dig around her new satchel and fetch both quill and parchment. Penmenship was not a factor at this point, Saiyah speedily producing a note for Kasry. On the bright side, there was a little color coming back to her.

Satoshi salutes Redovian with the wine bottle. "Evening, Cyrisling."

Redovian said to Satoshi, "My Queen, I seem to find you in... high spirits."

Kasyr pushes off from the table, if only to flop down into a chair and promptly salute toward Redovian. From there, he'd simply affix Satoshi with a look, "Well, the problem before es that his remains -did- depart after he died, if only to animate once more. Wouldn't this permanency be preferable?" Offering the cryomancer a puzzled look, the vampire promptly finds himself distracted by a note. Pausing to read it over, the vampire than simply turns to Saiyah and begins to intone, "Frostmaw, I live here, That's the queen et my wife, et..er. I suppose I could help tu out of here fairly promptly, enfin. I was wondering why tu looked so miserable."

Redovian said to Kasyr, "My king. *offers the same bow of respect*"

Satoshi offers Redovian the ghost of a smile. "You'll find me in higher spirits when the Leech's head decorates the trophy hall." Giving the wine bottle a twist then so send it spinning on the tabletop, the magus glances at Kasyr and his note and, waiting until he's through speaking to the naga, adds, "It's not lingering remains that are the nuisance."

Saiyah glanced at Satoshi, and gave her as best of a chilled smile as she possibly could. This was -not- the best climate for a snake to be in, by far. The paladin was offered the same smile the Queen was, before another note was created. She felt the need to say something more to the woman, but was at a loss for words.. literally. She couldn't think in this state. In time she'd warm up, but how long would it take?

Kasyr quirks an eyebrow at Satoshis' comment, the board-bound rag given a secondary glance, "Oh? Could tu peut-etre elaborate upon that? If you're concerned about .." A pause, and the vampire promptly slaps his forehead, before gesturing both his hands towards Saiyah, an action which works perfectly for accepting the note poked his way, "Satoshi, meet Saiyah- She's Cabal." A redirection of his hands towards his wife, and than simply "Satoshi- I mentioned the other bits prior." From there, the hybrid simply begins to fumble into his backpack, before a trio of drinks are placed before Saiyah, "Drink these in order, quickly."

Satoshi eyes the drinks being laid out in order by Kasyr, "You know the stew, cider, or ale works for that too, right?" Which is a grouchy Satoshi's way of saying 'I'm not elaborating here.'

Saiyah eyed the bottles warily.. mostly the contents of the orange glowing one. A nervous shift of looks passed between Satoshi and Kasyr, most of her wanting to side with the woman's idea. Really, the Naga was always down for a drink, but only when she knew what it was. Or at the very least, what it could do. With fingers burried in her sleeves she'd just sit there, like a child waiting for a pair of quarrling parents to come to a verdict. Safe stew and a weak gain of body heat.. or chancing a guarunteed, but unpredictable heat.

Kasyr cants his head off to one side, before simply offering up a shrug. Towards Saiyah, the vampire simply says, "Just drink them in order, if you find it a bit too sharp for your tastes, tu can go take a mouthful of snow or something." From there, the Revenant simply pushes away from the table, and starts to walk towards the door, "Satoshi, if you'd care to take a walk, peut-etre. Unless you'd care for company." ..Really, Kasyr just doesn't want to be in smacking radius.

Satoshi rises from her seat wordlessly. Or mostly wordlessly, save for giving her golem a firmly spoken, "Stay" before she hurries after the kensai.

Saiyah drank a Platinum Chug.

Saiyah drank a Fire-breath elixir.

Saiyah drank a pirate brew.

Saiyah cringes with tears in her eyes. Not to many drinks seemed to have that effect these days, this however. This put a sting in her chest. Slamming the last one down with obvious dicomfort, the Naga burried her head in her arms atop the table. A balled first slammed out her frustration across the table.

Satoshi whispered something to Drargon.

Satoshi bought 1 Ice-Breaker Rum for 0 gold, 35 silver, and 0 copper.

Satoshi gave 1 Ice-Breaker Rum to Saiyah.

Saiyah hiccups a small flame.

Frozen Road

Satoshi pauses shortly after leaving the tavern, letting Kasyr get a few paces ahead of her. Glancing sidelong at an ever-growing mound of snow, the kit resists the urge to fidget. "Where were you when...?" Words trail off as she glances back to the kensai, expression a very un-Satoshi-like cross between guilty and hesitant. After a pause, she adds with a faint laugh, "I wasn't expecting a wizard."

Kasyr glances off to the side, a flustered look crossing his features for a few moments, "Et bien, Whilst I could feel something was wrong... I was, embroiled in a mess within the snake city. I had heard Vuryals Castle was there. As it es, it's just another point annexed." Eyes falling towards his feet, the vampire can't help but quietly murmur, "I'm glad you're alright, tu know. Et that he at least could..provide you aid."

Satoshi gains a particularly cattish grin by this point. "Provided aid, yes," she steps forward to stand alongside the kensai, smirk darkening to an almost macabre level, "for the most part~. Plus... your theory works, without needing that necromancer's little ritual whatnot."

Kasyr s' hands fall to his pockets, though his attention is drawn back to the feline. For a few moments he can't find anything to say in particular, before he finally inquires, "For the most part...et what do tu mean exactly by..my theory works?"

Satoshi's smile widens all the further, looking as pleased and murderous as a fox in a chicken coop. With a particularly amused air she begins pacing around Kasyr. "Feeding the disease with darkness to make it grow~. -That- theory." Leaning forward, she half-whispers, "It works~." Without warning the kit goes from standing in front of the revenant, to perching on the snowbank behind him, appearing slightly disoriented, and coated lightly in a darkly tinted frost, but still wearing that predatory grin. "He couldn't burn -all- the shadows out~. They're mine now, and I'm using them~."

Kasyr actually stops, a myriad number of emotions flickering across his face before finally settling upon intrigue, "Really. Well than, It's almost a shame I intend on keeping this little discovery for ourselves; because I'm almost certain that the necromancer guild would trip over themselves to know this." Especially given vampires tended towards that particuliar profession. "...As for..how that turned out. That es definitively interesting?"

Satoshi blinks, tips her head to one side, and is promptly flailing to regain her balance after appearing in front of Kasyr again. "This is going to take getting used to... can't go very far, and only in snow. But it doesn't affect me like teleporting, at least? Anyway," she shakes her head, gathering her scrambled thoughts, "Turned out? Interesting?"

Kasyr peers intently at Satoshi, one hand moving out to both pat her on her head, and also essentially plant her firmly upon her feet, "The gift, thing. It's not exactly like we readily discerned any difference in the Wizard beyond temperment. Et I had no real idea how it would manifest. So it es interessant, enfin. But wait...you still do have the body? I have an interest in it..et something that should be on it."

Satoshi waves a finger chidingly at the kensai. "He's newly sired, I'm not. Jolie wasn't aiming to kill him, the Leech's strongest wraith was. Factors~. And yes, what's left of him is still where I left it. Except," from her sleeve the kit produces a coin and flips it into the air, catching it deftly before holding it out in offer to Kasyr, "for this~?"

Satoshi gave 1 Archmosian daric to Kasyr.

Satoshi said, "And when I say what's left of remains... I mean it. It's hardly more than a puddle of black corruption."

Kasyr looks contemplative of the processed information, "So it could be a factor of just how intense the darkness es. If it might normally kill.. Hrm." Scratching at his head, the Kensai sighs, "I suppose we'll eventually discern the exacts." Snatching the coin out of the air, the hybrid simply begins to balance it between his knuckles, "This was what I was looking for, oui. Though, mayhaps his remains might be put to use at the necromancers guild- j'en sais pas. Es there any way it could be...retrieved et bottled, as it were?" The vampire pauses at this, before tossing a glance back towards the Tavern, "Should we meander back inside? I think by this point, we have most of the private matter dealt with, en fait."

Satoshi's eyes narrow into a decidedly dark look, her response icy, "I'm -not- gathering those remains. As for heading back," the kit's expression softens slightly into one of weariness, "you can. I'm going home." With that, Satoshi takes a few limping steps toward the main road, only pausing to see which way the kensai chooses--and to send a silent call to her golem, so that he can return to her side in a moment.

Kasyr cants his head off to the side, than simply offers up a helpless shrug, "Whilst I'd be curious as to what they might find, I won't press tu, Madamoiselle." Pausing, the Kensai simply lapses into a curt bow, "I'll..be by soon- but I do believe Saiyah es not faring too well in these climes."

Satoshi calls back, "Just don't waste the whole night warming someone -else- up, eh~?"

Kasyr grins abruptly, "I think I can adhere to that request, Madamoiselle."
