RP:Niawtu's Virus: Day 1

From HollowWiki

Vuryal appears within the prisoner quarters, eyeing meticulously the wraith he has created.

Niawtu was lying upon her bed, not really thinking or doing anything at all, but the moment Vuryal enters she quickly sits up at looks alert. The child-wraith bows her head slightly to him and then looks back up.

Vuryal waves his right hand, fingers out, towards the wraithling. Instantly, the collar is removed. "Here, pet," he says, tossing a coin to her. "This will get you in and out of the castle. Welcome to the Vendetta."

Vuryal gave 1 Archmosian daric to Niawtu.

Niawtu looks upon the coin, with her black and metalic silver eyes, and flips it between her fingers, hardly even noticing the removal of her collar. "Thank you, Master." is all she says

Vuryal shows nary a thought or movement of welcome to the wraith thrall. "Now, be on your way, going out and displaying to the world what you are. I expect you to show what you are, not to quarrel. That is for the full wraiths. If any approach you in attempt to kidnap you, they will be dead within the day. None can hide from me."

Niawtu nods and says "Yes, Master. I will do my best... And only a fool would steal from you, oh Timelord." a small smirk plays upon her lips at the thought of such foolishness.

Vuryal phases out of view, blackened mist collecting and disappearing within seconds.

After Some Trouble At The Jolly Roger

Niawtu smirks and then turns to walk away, as she flips a coin between her fingers.

Kumorohyou said to Niawtu, "*the panther appears not three feet away from Nia, his massive Spirit pressure brushing against her* and where do you think you're off to, little one?"

Jaque looked at Niawtu.

Niawtu pauses in her steps, and turns her totally black eyes, with shiny metallic silver irises towards the one who spoke to her. Her white hair bristles slightly and she says "I don't have to answer to you about where I plan to go." Her voice is a mixture of a demonic voice, a child's voice, and an icy voice.

Jaque said, "I say we kill it."

Niawtu glares at Jaque, though it is an emotionless one.

Jaque glares back

Sterling’s gaze settles on Niawtu following Jaque's words. "If Niawtu is one of them. Yes. Kill it."

Kumorohyou stands in front of Niawtu's path, the strangely-armored shaman speaking in a surprisingly gentle voice, given that he is speaking to a wraith. "There is someone who wants to see you..." The air around him seems thicker, giving off a sound similar to rolling thunder.

Niawtu rolls her metallic eyes, and places the odd coin within a pouch that hangs from a belt. "Hmph." is all that escapes her mouth as she makes to move again.

Kumorohyou said to Sterling, "Please do not interfere. I will handle Niawtu."

Niawtu said to Kumorohyou, "And who might that be? There is no one I care about."

Niawtu draws her metallic eyes back around the small group that stands about. She wasn't scared... An emotionless creature has no fear. But she did have a bored appearance about her.

Kumorohyou watches as Niawtu attempts to walk by him. The panther then places an exoskeleton-covered hand on the girl's shoulder. Upon further inspection, the dark-grey armour on his hand bears a strange hexagonal seal, with a fractal-based design upon it. "Shigal no zatan al-zahir," (translation: Stay your feet from this path.) the shaman whispers. As he utters these words, that very seal begins to form on the ground at Nia's feet. Withdrawing his hand from the wraith, the panther waits to see what she will do.

Niawtu shuddered at the touch of Kumorohyou's hand. She was just about to attempt to bite it when the odd words are uttered and a seal forms beneath her. She draws her eyes to the ground and looks at it, with a smirk. "*an eerie laugh emits from her throat* and -what- is this, might I ask? You know, it is unwise to mess with a pet of the Timelord..." another laugh comes forth from her raven-black lips, as she remembers something the Timelord had told her earlier.

Kumorohyou shakes his head, "You are worth more than that..." As he takes a step so that he faces her directly, his Spiritual pressure begins to climb until it feels like standing at the bottom of the ocean. A chorus of voices, whispering, can be heard as one dominant voice speaks, as if it were in the back of one's mind. ~My people have more than their share of experience with capturing, wraiths, and we have become exceedingly efficient at it...~ With a loud snap of his fingers, a small arc of turquoise energy crackling around them, the seal beneath her feet appears to open into a mysterious void, while his massive aura moves to push her inside.

Niawtu growls and shakes her head, trying to remove the voices in her head. When the child-wraith notices the seal opening a smirk grows upon her lips, and she says slyly "My master will see to it that you are dead within the day, if you kidnap me from him." a quiet and demonic laugh slides forth from her lips.

Kumorohyou watches as his Spirit forces her into the seal's Containment Void. His last thought to her as the seal begins to close is, ~Such things imply emotion. He probably won't even miss you. Ranok is the one who truly cares about you.~

Niawtu growls and says, low and demonically, not even bothering to fight against the power "My master had told me so this morning... And I know not who Ranok is, anyways." it seemed that she spoke truthfully, she had lost all memory of her family and friends.

Kumorohyou offers her a warm smile, ~You will.~ before the seal completely closes, locking the wraith-child in temporal stasis. All that remains on this plane is a small, black spherical gem in the center of where the large seal was present. Picking it up, the panther's eyes and body glow with peculiar, 'circuit-board' lines of turquoise as he says to himself, "Vuryal tells people a lot of different things..."

Niawtu || Before the seal closes Niawtu laughs... And that's all she gets out, as the seal shuts.

Kumorohyou places the gem in a compartment on his belt. Now to find Ranok. The wayward smith told him that he had a swift way to expel the wraith infection for the girl's body.

In The Shrine of the Sea Gods

Ranok || The thudding of metal feet upon the flagstones can be heard. Among those tremendous thuds are the sounds of hooves hitting the stone as well. A group of people and somethings are approaching. When it comes into view, it would be Ranok, in his Doorknocker, flanked by two others. Johnny, and a smaller one in the same design as Ranok's. It has 'Fisticuffs' emblazoned on its side. There are seven other men on horseback following, but it seems the horses are straining to keep up. Those Doorknockers seem to be incredibly fast when they're up to speed. Three hulking figures literally screech to a halt in front of the temple. The chicken footed metal that terminates their legs gouge stone from the streets and send up sparks. Ranok can be seen in the viewport of his, and this cracks open as he gets out of the thing. The two others stay the same. He enters the temple without a word and a long stride. The men take up a defensive position outside the temple, with gear and empty sandbags they'd begin to fill with dirt taken from the ground beside the street.

Kumorohyou removes the black gem from his belt, placing it on the floor just in front of the pool that held the Sea God's statues. The small stone sphere begins to spin before vanishing, the area where it was becoming the center of a large hexagonal seal. The air feels thicker as the exotic shaman's Spirit permeates the air, the Seal drawing power from his residual aura. At the center of the rune sits Niawtu, the girl sitting up with her arms wrapped around her legs. Pale lines of electric-turquoise run along her skin in familiar 'circuit-board' patterns. It appears as though she were meditating, though Kumori was unsure of how she would react to being here. The effect of serenity would still be felt, helping her to stay sane as long as she would remember her own identity, but regardless, she would not be able to pass beyond the seal's boundary until the wraith had been purged.

Niawtu doesn't move from her sitting position, but a shudder runs down her spin, causing her long white hair to bristle a little. Once her hair stops bristling it falls a bit like curtains around her. She then notices a slight difference and peeks up, to see where she was taken. She still has all the appearance of a wraith, and plenty of darkness can be felt exerting forth from her. But she doesn't say a word as she looks towards Ranok... However, one might get the sense that, if the chance had a possibility of arising, that the darkness within her -might- try to force her to call its master.

Ranok produces a helmet. It was made entirely of ghroudium. Lead not being the densest element easy to obtain in the lands, Ranok opted for 'overkill', as per usual. The helmet was to block telepathic communication. He knew Nia's abilities. The thick, thick metal would be quite handy at that. The seals around the place would handle the rest. As he advances to literally chain the helmet onto Nia, the sound of metal scraping at stone could be heard. Johnny was entering the temple, in his Doorknocker, as well. A more physical measure. The soldiers would handle the outside threats, Johnny, the inside ones. After the helmet had been put on, he goes to get the ropes Rowen blessed for him. Those, too, would be wrapped around Nia. Measure upon measure. Blessed ropes. The location. The blessings on the temple itself. The sanctifications and preparations the healers had made the day they had originally thought they'd be bringing Nia home. The soldiers. The list went on and on. As soon as those ropes were secure around Nia, blocking more of her wraith powers and holding her to the place she was, he fetches another set of bindings. Only, these were chains that seemed to be ordinary. They weren't, however. He'd applied the same skill that allowed him to make the Doorknockers onto the chains, each link being commanded to 'be as unbreakable as iron', with the Name of iron repeated over and over. Iron could be broken, but it was not its will to be. The enforcement upon the chains would keep the iron from changing, as was its nature. Those chains had been carefully, painstakingly made by hand by the man and others. He was preparing for this, after all. The chains would go on, and then wrapped around or bolted into key parts of the temple. If Nia was to be teleported, the entire assembly would drop down on whichever poor sap did it.

Kumorohyou remains standing just beyond the seal, watching Nia with a warm, turquoise gaze while he channels his power into keeping her secure, and in helping her wear down the wraith's power from the inside. He couldn't commune with her now, but he hopes that she would remember his encouraging words. The shaman's ears turn slightly at the occasional clink of metal on stone coming from the Doorknockers and the other forces that had come to secure the area, though his gaze remains fixed on the young girl. Kumori would be ready whenever Ranok was.

Niawtu rolls her eyes as Ranok places the helmet upon her head, scowls when he binds her with blessed rope, and then when the chains are placed about her and she sees the doorknocker enter she releases a grumbly sigh. The wraith voice, demonic and icy, emits through her black lips and says, rather stubbornly "Come now... Is -all- this necessary... Don't you trust ' 'Lil Nia?' " the voice then laughs cruelly, but weakly. So much light and blessing was drenching the darkness... But it was stubborn... More stubborn than Nia usually would be. "What're ya going to do next? Remove my voice?" another laugh moves from the child's mouth, this showing that there's a possibility of Vuryal simply hearing a good shout or howl from the child-wraith.

Ranok grabs Nia's chin and jerks her head to look at him. His expression was utterly cold. The face of a man who's ended lives on a whim, because he wanted to. It was cruel. Empty. "If hyu shout. Den yah." And he would. A knife would appear in his hand. His knife, the one at his belt. At the slightest shout that Nia would put out, he'd silence her by cutting her vocal cords. He knew just where and how much to stab. Such was his cold bloodedness. And he'd be there constantly. His lack of the need for sleep, vigilance, and sheer determination would see him through this particular unpleasantness. He releases Nia, whirling the knife between fingertips. "Kumo. Ve're gunna approach dis in overvelmink numbers. Hy onderstund dat you keremony vould likely vork on its own, however. Hy'm not takink henny chances. Ve're gunna use every meddod possible to purge her. Make de preparations for you keremony, und set dem so dat dey kan be done at nearly henny time. By myself, if needed."

Gwenilyn enters the temple quickly, the note she received from Ranok still in her hand. SHE pauses for a moment to search the recesses of the Temple for Ranok and the others.

Kumorohyou looks up, trying to read Ranok's lips before the smith steps out of the seal. Apparently Kumori had a more elegant solution for physical sound: interweave Spirit particles into the containment field to block out any sound going in or out. Open hearing about the last 3/4 of Ranok's words, the shaman gives a simple nod before removing a vial from his belt. The glass appears to hold some sort of tropical-green colored fluid. Kumori approaches the outside of the hexagon, placing the vial in a special holder. His translucent visor begins to form over his mouth and nose, making sure Nia cannot read his lips from within the seal, "This is the key. It will counteract the infection by dissolving into a gas. This occurs once the fluid comes in contact with the seal." The panther then transfers the words for activating the anti-virus' ability. ~Gyamero na Shayakhan. Speak those words when you knock over the vial.~

Niawtu cringes at the thought of Ranok's words, and her eye twitches a bit, then when Kumorohyou comes near she pays attention to him, as much as she can... However her attention becomes distracted upon the entering of her sister, Gwenilyn, and her eyes don't seem to move from her. They were still wraith eyes, but they seemed as though the true Niawtu was watching her dear sister through them... Truly she had missed her wacky family, even if she couldn't show it right now... Niawtu probably looked a bit silly, being that she was wearing a thick helmet, and was bound in ropes and chains while sitting with her arms around her legs. Finally, after a while she brings her attention back to Kumorohyou and Ranok... Possibly missing if anything was instructed to her, due to the child's being distracted...

Ranok looks up as Gwen enters. There was no friendliness in his face. He nods at the Fae, "Glad hyu kould make it so quick. Ve're vaitink for more healers before ve act. De best solution is to hit it vith as much positive magic as possible."

Gwenilyn :: The scene which confronts the fae's eyes is strange, to say the least. It takes her a few minutes to figure out just what is going on. Ranok there, holding a knife and threatening to slit Nia's throat? Kumori controlling some sort of shield? It makes no sense…. Yet. Gwen feels eyes upon her. It is her sister….. Gwen steels herself against weakness, for this will not help Nia. It could very well harm her if Gwen does not stay strong. Still, the fae's eyes will not leave Nia's until the child herself breaks contact. When she does, Gwen turns to Ranok as he speaks. She nods once, rather brusquely for her to murmur, 'Aye. For whom do we wait? And what is my part in this? I know what I want~ to do, but I would prefer to see what the overall structure is first.' She glances at Kumori and offers him a small smile and nod. 'Kumori. I'm glad you are here.'

Tysinni had spent most of the day in a small closed room with some smugglers. The thief had wanted to start branching out into other business concerns and that meeting had been the first step. Shortly after her associates departed, Ty had been approached by one of the street urchins she had been training. A quick whispered conversation and she headed straight for the temple. The street kids had been seeing soldiers and strange machines barricading the building for the past hour. Tysinni manages to evade the guards and slip past the defenses while they were still being created. Entering the temple, the thief immediately heads out in search of familiar faces. Yet, the scene she happens upon is anything but normal.

Kumorohyou turns to Gwenilyn, the panther responding warmly, "I am glad to be here, Gwen." The panther's massive Spirit permeates the interior of the Temple, the shaman detecting another presence entering. Where Tysinni had entered and began searching for faces, Kumori quiet approaches. The living exoskeleton of armor that the feline wears makes him look much more like a bipedal insect than a feline. The feature that gives him away is the pointed ears and black hair protruding from his otherwise smooth, translucent visor, and the long, armored tail swishing behind him and making the occasional soft clicking of woven rings and places. Turquoise eyes glow brightly behind his visor. "And what brings you here?" Kumorohyou asks the half elf in his strange accent.

Niawtu grumbles a bit, more so caused by the wraith side of her, and sets her forehead back upon her knees as she closes her eyes. Quietly, though probably loud enough to Kumorohyou or Ranok to hear, she grumbles "How many more people have to see me looking this way...." she was referring to all the chains, ropes, and the helmet of course, not her wraith appearance...

Ranok puts his knife back in its sheath, "Ve're vaitink on a fev odder pipple, Gven. De rest uf de healers dat Hy hed kontacted earlier, und a priest or tvo. Hyu may schtart makink preparations, or hennyddink hyu like. Hy vill be here to make sure noddink physical gets in. Johnny iz here to make sure noddink physical dat got in schtays movink." The man points at Johnny, who had the hatch open to his Doorknocker. He waves vigorously. Ranok himself checks all the chains and bindings again. Force of habit. So grim. The man had sacrificed a great deal towards this goal, and he wasn't going to let it slip away without a fight.

Roytoc ran into the temple in a stumbling fashion, he had been running at his fastest gait and had made it all the way through Rynvale rapidly, the many shadowed figures that had been out stared intently at the Drow as he zoomed past. He still wore the sleeveless-white shirt, accenting his muscles and form, along with his thin white linen pants and his riding boots. Roy's hair seemed very Unkempt, as if he had just woken up, and his face and hair was a bit damp from the sea air that pervaded all of Rynvale, his eyes were still glazed with sleep. Roy looked around, observing the scene and sighing, not able to speak yet; running so soon after waking had given his body a bit of a shock.

Gwenilyn hears Kumori speak to someone and turns to see Ty. Gwen will smile warmly to the thief, but her attention will center on Ranok for a moment. She acknowledges his words with a nod and a soft frown. How to proceed? 'Ranok, Kumori, I was able to establish contact with Nia last night. I believe I may still be able to do so. If I can keep the true Nia alive, might that not be the best use of my magic? Or have you other suggestions?' Last night's work was grueling and left the fae reeling. But she is more than willing to try again, if it will help

Kumorohyou said to Gwenilyn, "After I captured her, I was able to speak to Nia. If you can provide your healing efforts as a life support for her, I will release the cure that my people have created for wraith infection."

Tysinni strains her neck to try and look around the person who had approached her. At his words and the fact that he was clearly blocking her path, hands are placed on her hips and she tries for a rather imperious tone, "Well, I was minding my own business, handling my affairs when I was informed that there was a rather large 'to-do' happening at the Shrine of the Sea Gods. Lots of soldiers making a barricade. A couple of giant metal monstrosities. That's when I thought to myself 'Self, who do you know that has devices like that and access to that kind of man-power?' The answer was simple: Ranok. Which meant to me that there was a possibility they were working to save Nia." At which point in her rather one sided conversation, she raises her voice to be heard, "Yet, no one saw fit to inform me. Which is why I came to check stuff out. I will be staying to help." Her expression and voice brooked no argument. The thief knew she was being rather rude to the mild-mannered person who was trying to help, but she couldn't seem to stop herself. No one was going to stop her from getting involved. "May I please go on?" She realized that she should probably comport herself better and changed her tone to a much more polite one. Assuming Kumorohyou let her pass without incident, she'd head over to the others, giving Gwen a smile, Ranok a frown and the just shown up Roytoc a wave, before turning her attention to Niawtu. Seeing her adopted little sister up close, nearly brought Ty to her knees. "Nin nethig…."

Ranok calls from inside the temple, "Let her in. She'd chust burst trough a vindow if ve didn', hennyvays."

Roytoc nodded to Ty, regaining his breath and gathering his thoughts before speaking anything, he looked at the situation, what with Nia being chained and all of that, this seemed to be the climax of the wraith affair with Nia, she would be healed, or she would die, or at least that's what Roy's thought process followed. "What exactly is happening here?" He asked to no one in particular, looking to the doorknockers, Gwen, Nia, Ty, and Kumorohyou, he didn't know the man personally but he had seen him many times before. He brushed a hand through his thick unkempt hair and sighed, he didn't know how he could help, he had those cuffs that he was equipped with during the mission, which failed, but Nia looked like she was already taken care of in what with all the chains…

Kumorohyou allows Tysinni access to the temple, before the shaman returns to his place in front of the hexagonal seal that was holding Nia. "Everyone stand back and get ready." The panther claps both of his hands together, and as he does, the space around them and the green vial sitting in front of the large rune appears to distort for a moment. The green liquid is poured out upon the glowing turquoise lines of the seal, before it begins to evaporate on impact. Speaking in a soft voice, Kumori mutters the incantation, "Gyamero na Shayakhan." The pale cloud of anti-viral particles begins to take a life force of its own, swirling around the shackled child and gaining entry through her lungs and skin. The key step had been performed. With the help of the other healers, and with Niawtu's aid, the antidote would expel the remainder of the wraith's influence from her Mind and Body.

Ranok stalks among the healers assembled. To Gwen he goes. When he lays a hand on her, the fae would be able to feel a surge of energy. He was wordlessly giving her his own energy to be used in this healing. The only thing he could offer at the moment. He wouldn't let Gwen refuse it, opening the link again and again, explaining that she was the most powerful healer in the room, and would be the crux of whether the healing ultimately failed or succeeded. When Gwen finally gave up trying to refuse or simply accepted his own mana and a healthy dose of life energy, the man would make his way to sit close by. His sword, in its sheath, would sit between his legs as he leaned on it. Ranok looked a little gray around the face, slightly ashen. He would recover, in time, or course. But he wouldn't be much use in a fight.

Niawtu peeked up, when she heard Roytoc’s entrance and then set her head back down upon her knees. However, when the healing begins, and the anti-viral swirls around her, she pops her head up and scowls… It is a scowl fueled by the wraith virus, of course. It could be noticed that the child was now holding her breath, although some of the antidote had already made its way into her lungs. The child-wraith, however, seems to be quite defiant about this healing and doesn’t even try to breathe any more. At the same time she holds stone still, so that the need to breath is lessened, and so that the antidote moves within her slower… The wraith seemed to be tricky about this situation… As she does so she glances between everyone in the room, she appears to be pondering something, though who knows what it is she’s thinking! Then she glances at Ranok for a long while, to his dagger, and back to his face, as though she’s contemplating the usefulness of screaming. She also appears as though she weighing between Vuryal crashing the party, so to speak, and being stabbed in the throat to keep her quiet… The eyes that are thinking this are, obviously, the wraith eyes.

Gwenilyn :: Strangely enough, Gwen gratefully receives what Ranok offers. Her own strength had been taxed the night before and while she is almost fully recovered, his mana will replenish and add to what was lost, giving the fae much-needed power. With silent thanks, she begins her preparations. From her ever-present satchel come several things. First are several skins of water from the pool around the Eternal Tree. A rather large container of dirt from the glade contains a living branch from the Tree itself, gifted Gwen for this moment. Another container contains only the dirt. The fae is dressed in white, the only color being the Healer's talisman, her sapphire orbs and burnished auburn hair, which is worn loose and flowing to her hips. Gwen had made her connection with the Mother of All (or Great Mother, as Nia knows her) the night before. That connection burns brightly within the fae's soul even now. The healer fae will approach her sister and pour the dirt from the glade in a circle about the child. Gwen will keep the skins of water at her side, as well as the living branch. The healer sits cross-legged in front of Nia and smiles warmly, seeking to find something of her sister there within the child's eyes, despite their physical appearance. Gwen reaches out and places one hand against the child's heart, while the other gently encircles the branch. The fae now closes her eyes, breathes deeply and hopefully starts to make her connection. Rainbow hues dance about the enclosure to concentrate around the sisters and bathe them in both light and healing energies. With Gwen's considerable knowledge, power and more importantly, faith and love, the fae stretches forth her spirit, much as she would do in any regular healing. But this time she reaches for her sister's very essence.

Tysinni feels largely superfluous at the moment. There was no need for a thief in such a situation. She had heard a voice speak to her, the voice of the one who had stopped her in the first place. Glancing around, she stares at him for a moment, before moving away from Nia. The only thing she could do for her sister now was to wait. Wait and hope that the plan would work. Ty woodenly makes her way over to where Ranok had slumped, sliding down to sit next to him. All she could do was watch and add her thoughts to the others.

Roytoc stared unblinkingly at Gwen, nodding to her, though she couldn't see it, she was too into the healing, and Roy was amazed at how fluidly she handled it, ready to cease the matter once and for all. He didn't know what he could do, no one needed a Drow Ranger at this moment, he didn't even know how to magically heal and he was a Ranger, he could heal other wounds, even mortal wounds with bandaged and disinfectants, he could sew up the lacerations as well, but to heal like this, he couldn't compare. Roy just squatted where he was, his arms resting on his legs, watching Gwen, glancing at Nia, and listening for Ranok. If he was needed he would come immediately.

Ranok sits still like stone. Hands rest on the hilt of the sword between his legs. He watches the on-goings with absolute intensity.

Niawtu had moved her eyes away from Ranok’s and, without really trying, accidentally linked her eyes with Gwenilyn’s as she sat in front of her. She continues to hold her breath, but after a minute or so of Gwen trying to seek out Nia’s essence she suddenly takes a sharp breath in, pulling in quite a bit of anti-viral at the same time. The child’s black and silver wraith eyes suddenly flicker back to her regular eyes and back several times before her right eye remains the wraith eye, and her left eye is Niawtu’s true eye. She has a distant stare as Gwenilyn makes contact, as though she was pulled deep into the confines of her mind and heart. So far, what Gwen was doing mixed with the antidote and the seal, seems to be working… But for how long, who knows?

Gwenilyn :: the connection is made! Holding the child's gaze and smiling like the sun, Gwen begins to sing. Wordless though the song is, it evokes a sense of rightness, of purity, of restoration. The melody is the one Nia played for Gwen that time at Ranok's home. It will help remind the child of who she truly is. To this another layer is added, still contained within the melody. Overlaid upon Gwen's voice is a deeper, richer, more powerful one. An otherworldly, golden glow begins to encompass the living branch and the fae as the potent presence of the Divine is felt. Mother of All, Great Mother, Sea Gods, Olric, Daedria, all the gods of Hollow are contained within this glow, all combined to aid Gwen in reaching and holding Nia fast. Healing rainbow, musical magic, the power of the Divine all coalesce to reach through Gwen, who is now a conduit, into the child, embracing her with all that is good and decent, all that is healthy and alive, all that is holy and pure. Gwen's spirit will cradle Nia's, should it be allowed. The fae's own essence will meld with her sister's to draw them both into the light and love of the Divine. All the while that heavenly music will echo throughout the chamber. Those listening might perhaps feel a bit lighter of spirit, perhaps a smile might be felt. Another's heart softened, who knows? These things would be side effects only, Gwen's concentration will be solely on her sister and no one else.

Tysinni stares at Nia-turned wraith with unnerving intensity, watching the healing process like a hawk. It isn't until she hears Gwen's song that the thief moves, starting to relax a bit. All of her thoughts are still with her adopted sister, but now memories start to play in her head. Times she spent with Nia and the goodness of the child within the wraith. A small smile plays on her lips as Ty feels more and more confident in the plan being enacted. She was ready and willing to do whatever was necessary to save Niawtu.

Roytoc enjoyed the song, it was a song of healing, of hope, of determination, it reminded him greatly of the hymn that he had heard when he first escaped onto the surface, a free Drow, the elven mother had been singing it to her children… from then on it had become his life song. Roy sidled a little closer to Gwenilyn, in well enough distance if she needed him, for his energy or otherwise, he would watch if she began to look weak, or for a nod, then he would quickly give her his energy. He still squatted there though, watching Nia and Gwen, how he hoped Gwen would succeed in this endeavor, and if it looked as if she was failing, he would have no choice but to give nearly all of his life energy to the woman… he wouldn't let her fail. He sniffed quietly and watched the scene with unbridled intensity, he was no longer tired.

Ranok gets up off his seat. He had heard Gwen's request for water, and he complies. But slowly. He still didn't look all that well. The water was a little lukewarm, but it would have to do. When Gwen had her fill of drink, he'd return to sit down again with an exhalation. The man looked old. Where before he always had some sort of strange mix of age and youth, his exterior graying and the lines worn into his face but a spring in step and movement. Only now does he lack that spring, the energy. Presumably, he gave most of it to Gwen to help Nia. Or perhaps the world has taken a chunk out of him.

Niawtu remains, unblinkingly, staring off into the distance as Gwen works her healing abilities. Her left eye, the one that reflects her normal and pure side, sparkles a bit as she can sense the presence of the deity’s assistance. However, one would equally notice an inky blackness slide over the metallic iris of her right eye, like a snake. Her skin remains dark gray, and there is no apparent changes yet. But Gwen would probably witness a scene within Niawtu’s mind, soul, and heart much like that of what she witnessed the previous night, but different. The previous night Gwen had seen within Niawtu’s mind, and the darkness that took her over became a physical thing. It compressed into a shadow version of Niawtu, with blood colored eyes. The previous night Niawtu’s soul form was a beaten, broken, and bloody white wolf… But tonight, Gwen would be seeing Niawtu’s soul form fighting with all its strength against a shadow version of her wolf self, only it’s a decent bit larger than Niawtu. This is, in a way, her good side fighting the bad. Outside of her subconscious Nia notices nothing. Every now and then a growl would emit through her naturally black lips, or she would cringe in pain, but never once do her eyes refocus on the otter world. At some points, however, the darkness seems to compress a little too powerfully in some areas, causing a small cut to open in her arms and bleed a little. Even her brand was releasing some odd, ink-like, black blood during this ‘battle’… However, it would be noticed, that the blood doesn’t freeze to Nia’s arm, like it usually would. Whatever the inky black blood is, it doesn’t look like it should be touched. In fact it looks like the darkness releasing from Niawtu in a physical form.

Brina had been looking for Nia ever since Ranok had passed on the news of the child, her child's, disappearance. The woman was worn. She had refused the company of human and wolf alike, nothing that would slow her down in her efforts to find her baby. Nia was not a product of Brina's flesh, in fact they couldn't be more opposite in appearance. Where Nia's skin shone with pale moonbeams, silvery starlight combing themselves into every strand of her long hair Brina seemed to be just the opposite. She was a woman of the earth with rum colored skin and large mismatched blue green eyes, her hair was a tangled mass off dark brown that fell over her shoulders in thick ropes. How long had it been since she'd brushed it? She had once been beautiful and perhaps could be still, but it wasn't obvious anymore. Dark circles lined her eyes and her nose seemed to have been broken recently, too much weight loss made her seem gaunt and I suppose, more fragile than she had ever seemed before. But a light flickered on in her eyes when she saw Nia, a light that had not been on for a few months. "Nia!" She hollers with her growly, unused voice. If someone didn't stop her Brina, in her excitement, would bound in and muck all this hard work up.

Gwenilyn continues to hold fast to her sister, both physically and spiritually. The powers of the divine and the elemental course through her like liquid fire. However, she can feel her energy begin to drain. This cannot be allowed, so a tiny nod will be seen by the one for whom it is meant. In addition, the fae feels herself becoming a dry husk from the effort of it all. Gwen sends out a silent call which Ranok answers. He helps the healer drink her fill of the waters from the Druid's Eternal Tree. Their combined efforts give her the extra nourishment she needs to do what must be done. Storm, Gwen's wolf, had been patiently waiting outside, but when he feels the fae's energy draining, he slips past the guards and pads quickly to her other side. He will lie down and put his muzzle on her knee, giving her moral support and a tiny thread of his own mana. Gwen can not only see but feel the battle raging within Nia. Every blow, every cut, seems to happen to the fae as well as the child. Thanks to the combined help of all those present, each gift is added to the whole to feed both Gwen and Nia that which they need to see the fight to its conclusion. Healing rainbow magic will flare intensely each time the darkness tries to strike while the glow of the Divine floods the child's soul with purity, love and grace. Potent power from which darkness may well recoil. Nia will be able to feel the steady beat of Gwen's heart and love, never ceasing, pouring into the child, should she accept all these gifts, what she needs to finish the fight.

Tysinni turned at the sound of someone yelling. Just for a moment, her focus on Nia broke and the thief sat, blinking at the rather crazy looking woman. Ty awkwardly comes to her feet, feeling the need to help do something just in case. One of the other healers in the room chooses that moment to place a hand on her shoulder, whispering something to get the thief's attention. Tysinni turns, whispering back before clasping hands with the healer. She would give whatever part of herself necessary to save her adopted sister.

Roytoc quickly jogged the last few feet to Gwen and kneeled next to her, slowly placing his hand to her shoulder, even before his hand had touched he could feel the sparks of her energy sapping his. Roy's face was stoic as he lent her his energy, his mental energy which protected his mind from his brother quickly drained, his eyes melting back to their natural red, his Innate Drow powers would as well be drained, the ability to cast globes of darkness, faerie fire, and the last sliver that he had retained of levitation, it was all lent to her, he realized that the levitation was so weak and so little to him that he would never be able to do it again, though it probably helped Gwen a lot. After it had all been drained he began to give his life energy, he didn't know if she had needed this much but he didn't care, he could feel his vigor sapping into the woman, his face looking a bit less bright, his eyes losing some of their crimson twinkle, his skin paling to an ashen purple-ebony. Roytoc seemed to be growling continuously under his breath, his voice gravely and rough, loosing it's honey-smooth tone, finally Roy let go, he fell backwards onto his bottom and coughed, he had given her at least forty percent of his life energy, almost half, his vision was darkening as unconsciousness tried to take him, though with a rough grunt Roy shrugged it off, watching Gwen. Not even noticing the new person enter, he could barely hear above the ringing distorted sound in his ears, he felt like he could throw up. Roy's head seemed to waver, wanting badly to slam into the ground, but Roy's determination stopped it, staying awake and mostly observant. He could dimly hear the whispers of his brother in his head, though he could barely understand them at the moment, the drawling snarky tone was recognized, they were ignored though.

Ranok looks up as Brina comes into the room. The man lumbers to his feet. The sword in his hands was held tightly in his left hand. He rumbles out, "Brina. Vait." A step taken and Roy spotted out of the side of his eye, "Johnny, give him a hend." Johnny, who had been smoking a cigarette from the open cockpit of his doorknocker, hops to and scurries over to Roy to help the ranger out and help, muttering all the while about this and that. Ranok himself would take steps to get in the way of Brina, wrapping arms around her to physically halt the woman, "Dere's noddink ve kan do now. It’s in de hends uf de healers now."

Niawtu || The battle continues to rage on in her, as the rainbow magic both wraps around the white wolf that is Nia’s soul. At the same time of this healing magic helping her it also lashes out at the black wolf (the virus.) However, the dark wolf gets so close to Niawtu that it ends up catching her side with its fangs. Outside of her body the child recoils at the pain, a low whimper emitting from her mouth, even Niawtu’s left side bleeds a bit… Though one would not see it, due to the black dress she wears. As Niawtu’s true self fights the darker self she continues to race towards the creature, attempting to rip out its throat in a way. Niawtu can feel the love, family, and friends that pours in from the outside, and this gives her strength, keeping her broken body up and moving. Suddenly, just as Niawtu feels that she might lose, a voice breaks through… Her loving mother’s voice calling her name. Niawtu is momentarily distracted in her battle and looks around her subconscious trying to find the voice, she even calls out “Mother?”, but at the next attack of the darkness she gets back into the battle; fighting with more ferocity than ever, just so long as she could be with her whole family again… Her blood pulsed with nothing more than the wanting to be within her mother’s arms again, and this (and the other factors of the healing) begins to push Nia even harder against the darkness. On the outside of her body, as Nia’s pure side lashes out more fiercely, the black ink-like blood continues to pour forth from more slight cuts, and the brand, quite profusely… There was even a couple black puddles of it beginning to form beside the child… But the battle seems like it’s far from over.

Gwenilyn feels the energy being gifted her by Roytoc and a part of her blesses him for it. However, some tiny part of her that is not concentrated on Nia begins to refuse what he offers. It will kill him and Gwen will not have it. SO after she is strengthened, she gently cuts their connection so that he won't be tempted to try again. Now all that is left for the healer fae to do is hang on for dear life to her sweet sister and let the other healers step up. Gwen will hold until either Nia is freed or they are both dead.

Tysinni feels awkward holding the hand of a stranger...up until a connection is opened. Suddenly, the half-elf can feel a change in her being. It was as if all of the layers that made up who she was, were peeled back, exposing her raw center, her very being. A slow warm sensation begins in her middle, branching outwards until the feeling is drawn down her arm and out through the place where her hand joined the other healers. Dimly the thief registers the other healers moving into position, lending their strength and power to Gwen's efforts. As Ty's energy continues to ebb through her and out to the circle, she turns her eyes onto Nia, focusing all of her thoughts on the girl. There was nothing to do but feel and experience and just...be. Tysinni felt connected to everything in the room, her life force helping to save a precious life. But just as quickly as the process begins, it starts to fade. The healer she is connected to is slowly severing the connection, mentally telegraphing that she had given enough. As soon as her hand is released, Ty takes a step away, only to stumble and fall to her knees. Exhaustion pulls at her, dulling her color and giving her a sickly cast.

Roytoc grinned at Johnny, though it looked more of a painful and confused smirk, the man was a good fellow, "Hmm, Johnny, has a nice ring to it," Roy said in his now gravely and rough voice, his tone now matching his rough grizzled mantle of a ranger, it was doing so even without his mask. Roytoc patted the man on the shoulder before slumping into unconsciousness, his face would smack into the floor if Johnny didn't catch the kneeling Drow, Roy would be need to recuperate for a couple days, he wouldn't be able to do his duties as a Ranger until then, and he defiantly couldn't travel to Frostmaw in the condition that he was in. Roytoc had given a lot, and in his heart he knew it was worth it, though physically he would rue the actions a bit, his mental honor would know that the right path had been taken and overpower the pain.

Brina was stopped by Ranok and, though she fought, there was no getting away from him. With tears in her eyes she reaches out to Nia and hollers "She knows me! She does, she does! Did you hear" but she was exhausted. It had been so long since she'd slept. So long since she'd been still. "Get off of me" she growls and pushes hard at Ranok, if she got away from him she'd walk over to Gwen and Nia, sitting beside them and doing well not to touch the goo. "Get some sleep Ranok you look like schit" how....charming. Her eyes were now fixed upon Nia and, gingerly, she reaches out to smooth the girls hair out of her face "my baby" she coo's "you're safe" or close to it, hopefully. And there Bri would stay, sitting, patrolling, watching, and challenging anyone who dared go near the healer and Nia.
