Summary: Linn comes to Desparrow to find him in an unstable state brought on by excessive stagnant magic. After a few displays and offers between the two, Desparrow gifts Linn half of his own arcane vision before demanding a brawl. The two fight, resulting in some broken ribs and nasty whiplash being exchanged before Desparrow opens a portal to send Linn off to go rest and heal himself under the Xalious Tree.

Ancient Forest

Desparrow sat on a pile of bones next to one of the oldest trees in the patch of land he called his. The environment was beautiful but its atmosphere was darkened by the prolongued presence of the pack; bones and remains littering the trees and ground all about. Des himself was sitting alone, staring at nothing in particular. His skin was taut, looking like it was straining to keep the muscles from bursting out of his body. Veins bulged at the neck and led down beneath the shirt, darkened from tainted magic that flowed in his blood. Mana leaked out of his eyes in the form of a wispy flame. Around him was a thin opalescent haze, excess mana that he couldn't control that was the result of stagnant energy he couldn't use. Like a magical cancer it hung over him like a cloud.

Linn was passing through Sage again after his usual patrol in Xalious, enjoying the luxury of having some time where things weren’t absolutely falling apart out west. On many of his trips he avoided the general perimeter of Desparrow’s dwelling, though this time he had decided to head straight in, wanting to see what’s been going on with the lycan and perhaps talk about a few things. While he wore his usual mithril armor and his pack, his weapons were kept sheathed and his gaze directed forward, any onlooking wolves receiving a locating glance at most. For whatever reason he was allowed to Desparrow, perhaps even guided his way by the pack. As the enchanter approached he raised his head at the sight of the lycan “Des!” He called out friendlily before getting a better view of his condition, the radiating magic making the air feel heavy, almost liquid to him. “What’s… going on with you?” he questioned, a slight note of concern on his voice.

Desparrow was alerted to Linn's approach with first a howl but then the male's scent came to him carried on a gust of wind. He didn't do anything however until the other was within view and had spoke first. A low chuckle passed through the lycanthrope's lips. "It is nothing... yet." Spoken though he felt at times pain due to the nature of his predicament. "It happens when I have generated too much for my body to handle, though it still tries to contain it all." Standing he walked over to Linn and he indeed was bulkier, like he was going to break out of his own skin at any second. His own flesh had gorged itself on the mana, much like the wolves that could be spotted here and there have.

Linn tilted his head slightly at Desparrow’s explanation, catching his notably bulkier, swollen form as he walked close. “You do look like you’re about to explode into a shower of glowing lights…” he jested slightly. He saw a solution to this that to him was quite easy which relieved him, having done it to himself so many times when he had a few bad run-ins with other magical forces. While the enchanter usually acted as a well of magical power in most circumstances, managing to only level himself with flows powerful enough to split the earth, the energy swirling around Desparrow as he approached still managed to press on him and try to worm its way into his flesh, causing his own body to tense with the sudden rush of power. He breathed a tight sigh and bit his lip, “Do you have a way to drain it off or purge it?” His lips swished in thought before stopping, spreading into a grin at the thought of something big for him.

Desparrow turned from Linn and walked back towards that tree he had been close to, appearing to ponder the situation. "I could just vent it all, but it would find its way back. I could consume it in a multitude of spells but unless I'm fighting I never have the motivation or imagination to create such large forces.." He paused, stopping to look at the ground even though nothing was there. "Tell me.. I understand you can use magic like me. Its not something you've ever had to explain. When I want to I can see the weave of reality, the tapestry of which we are all embroidered. You are no exception. Want to see a taste of power on a different level of which you may have known? I don't mean satoshi and kasyr's ungodly presence and the imprint they've left." He swung around, his eyes violet now and as he swung out an arm a wave of magic swept outwards from his body like a tidal wave over Linn and the nearby trees. "Crush" he whispered, and suddenly behind Linn two trees had been grasped by unseen forces, like giant pairs of hands and they wrenched both in opposite directions causing a deep creaking sound to come from within the hearts of the trunks and they visibly seemed to warp just beyond their physical limitations before they exploded into a hail of shrapnel. "Stop." another whisper but this one far more potent that it sent a ripple through their plane and commanded everything within within his power's radius, even Linn if he couldn't resist to seize in place. The hail stopped in the air, the wind ceased, vegetation froze in a blown over position. A trickle of dark blood leaked out of Des' nose before he had to break eye contact and end his spell. It was still too much for him to handle all at once.

Linn remained silent with a curious, inquisitive glance as Desparrow went on to begin his display of magic. The statement of their similarities brought a slight twitch of a colorless eye, though as he thought through it he found truth in the statement. The crackling of the tree trunks made his head whip attentively from side to side to find both sources, and as it intensified he reflexively held his armored arms up to the sides of his head to shield it from any wayward splinters before being frozen in place as if stopped in time. The moment it released he took a sharp, deep breath before cracking a small smile, mirroring the time-frozen effect onto the grass around his feet for maybe half a foot outwards from himself and releasing it after a few seconds. This time he breathed a more thoughtful sigh before glancing back to Desparrow, eyes briefly focusing on the darkened blood. “Perhaps. You’ve certainly done some very creative things with your magic. Some of them I’d like to explore myself if just for curiosity’s sake.” Releasing a thoughtful ‘hmm’ he dropped his pack to the ground, flipping it open to retrieve a folded scrap of leather. “I think I could give you a way to drain it constantly. There are a few things out there that can store nearly unlimited amounts of energy. And I think you could help me get some more.” Unfolding it he drew a spider-thin thread barely two inches long. In the ambient mana it glowed a bright cherry-red. The substance was blatantly magical, containing forces even more concentrated than those within Desparrow’s body. Somehow though, it was ordered and stable regardless of the contained power.

Desparrow cracked a smile, the corners of his mouth curling upwards undertoned with a bit of arrogance. "Indeed. You have some growing, but I think together we can mature, hone our powers to a fine scalpel's edge.. However." A thumb wiped away the blood, which he then finished cleaning with his forefinger after wiping it on his tongue to get the smear off. This is when that crystal was brough into view. A narrowed gaze showed his curiosity and caution all at once. "Drain it constantly.. so you mean it will suck me dry?" He wasn't serious, certainly something like that couldn't perform such a thing however if it could it would mean a potential death sentence. "I have no intention of killing myself for the gain of others. However if it will feed off my excess.. Then perhaps I may have use of it. And you said it stores it..." his gaze flitted to Linn. "What purpose do you have of it?"

Linn shrugged with a nod at the prospect of training with the lycan. “Quite possibly.” Was all he stated before the mana crystal became the subject. At the jest he responded quickly, “Doesn’t have to.” The answer that he was about to give came from Desparrow himself, prompting a sure nod of agreement. When questioned about what he was going to do with it he let himself focus on the glowing thread again, “Enchantments of the stranger type, ones too complex to explicitly define everything they may have to do. This stuff stores magical power by using it to physically grow itself. I could easily set it to drain excess down to a certain resting point and no more. Just enough to keep you from you know… exploding or something.” He have a smile and a huff, “And just to make myself clear on what I’m getting out of this, I want the extra material that grows off of the magic that could otherwise kill you.”

Desparrow slid a hand over his right eye, holding it their cupped as he meandered back over to linn. "Consider our dual-mentorship begun then. Though before I take that crystal and grant your request to be your battery, I expect you to oblige me on two requests." When Des stopped he was inches from the other and as he slid away the hand he wiped away the violet of his eye leaving it just its normal blue. "First.. you must accept this. I understand you can't see between the weave of reality, onto the other planes of existence. This will grant you that power. You can see the forces that I do, also.. I won't take no for an answer." he began to chuckle and all he had to do was press it to the man's face and it would be a sealed contract, not really able to refuse an eye, though it would only be the right eye through which he could see this weave and only when he wanted to but of course that eye would turn a near fluorescent violet in turn.

Linn narrowed his gaze at the coming requests, perhaps taking much longer to consider the offer than he should. While he couldn’t see the immaterial threads and junctions that formed the basis of his magic, he could feel them and pull at them like they were physical. But he knew the possibilities of seeing them as well. Eventually, he nodded. “Okay then.” He could only hope that if he ever did have to break the contract, he’d be able to outpace the lycan and foil any retaliation with his own methods. “Do it.”

Desparrow knew that the brother spell weaver wouldn't be able to resist. In his hand the sigil of an eye could be seen floating above his palm. Gently he pressed it over Linn's right eye and there the magic would bond with him, synchronize with the spellcaster and meld with his existence. It was his then, completely under the control. It would allow Linn to see the magic he worked, and the magic of others, at times even view the tapestry of reality to see things as they are, not as they would seem to be to the normal eyes. It would only have to be activated by will, however sometimes the truth can be scary, or disappointing. "There, it is yours now. It doesn't expend energy to use it. Just another version of sight. Don't let seeing between the threads of existence drive you mad though. I've been tempted to see beyond what we know, but each time I have tried I've felt a tug at my mind, trying to suck it from my very body. I have to retreat before I completely lose myself so I've stopped altogether." he then turned back around and took a few steps away. "My second request before I take that crystal..." he paused. "Fight me. Now."

Linn left his eye open as the sigil came close, closely monitoring the process of the binding. In the end, he was pleased being left with his own independent control of it. “I’ve felt and grabbed at them for years now. Sight would just let me find many more at once. I know what you mean though. Sometimes there are pictures that can’t be shown all at once.” He backed up as well when Desparrow turned, his right iris flashing purple for a brief second before both of his eyes shut in a wince. Between the lycan’s overflow and the mana crystals and other effects the second sight was simply overwhelmed and blinded. He released a small curse right before the request came for a fight, both eyes colorless as they opened back up to see Desparrow ready. Putting the red mana crystal thread back in his pack he sent it off with a kick where it went sliding until it hit a tree. His body tensed as the magical power that infused him coiled around to guard against outside effects. With a soft “Alright” his left hand reached into a pouch at his side before he took a step forward, his arm shooting out to reveal a bright violet crystal that contained a sinister inky black that threatened to consume any energy that found its way in. From it leapt a bright blue veil of light that would attempt to crash straight into Desparrow’s chest with crushing force and knock him to the ground.

Desparrow wasn't expecting such an immediate attack. At least he knew his opponent was willing. This would be interesting, but a bit of his enthusiasm might have left when as he turned his chest took a sledgehammer like blow to the rib cage. Pain ripped through his torso when he felt and heard within him one crack. That wasn't all though, the wind leaving his lungs and his feet leaving the ground as he was lifted and thrown back several feet only to crash back down. A bit of a coughing fit later he managed to get back to his feet, a storm brewing in his eyes. "Excellent." From behind the tree he had been sitting next to he withdrew a long bow. Holding it up as if he had an arrow notched with Linn in his sights his smile seemed to grow. From his pores he began venting out magic energy like a breaking damn. In seconds he was surrounded in a thick mist. Slowly they gravitated as motes of light towards the space between the bow and his hand where an arrow should have been. They swirled, coalescing into a single entity. Static grew, Des' hair standing on end the greater it got until sparks flew followed by a bright flash of light which birthed into existence a thin bolt of lightning which now was his arrow. After giving the command to his spell it attained a life of its own, drawing on the magic, pulling more of it in strengthening itself. The bolt grew thicker until the lightning was as thick as Des' wrist and the head became bulbous, gorging as it filled with energy. When it was ready Des knew and his two fingers that held it back released. What happened in that next second was absolute mayhem. A clap of thunder released was the calling of destruction, the sonic boom flattening all vegetation within meters, pushing and breaking young trees and even bending the tops of much larger ones. This boom sent all loose debris as a cloud outwards, even ragdolling des far back and slamming him into a tree further damaging his ribs and even slicing open his back in several small gashes. The lightning itself had pierced a hole through this dome, igniting all of it with the intense radial heat causing that wall of debris to become a cascade of flames that washed over all before dissipating, leaving organic material signed. Des had purposely not directly aimed for linn knowing the direct heat of the bolt alone would be enough to cook him inches away, and this bolt was leaving a trail of scorched earth several feet beneath it, giving an idea of how much of a radius this spell had. Simple but completely effective by the laws of nature. It flew past Linn and struck a tree far off, bursting it into flames at the core before it too exploded violently but far enough away that it would not harm either of them.

If it was a truly serious fight Linn would have rushed right in after his first strike to press his attack, seeking to end the fight quickly and efficiently as possible. Really though, his curiosity got the best of him as he gave Desparrow some time to see what would come back his way, a smile crossing his face at the lycan’s words. As the mist drew together the enchanter set his focus on the magic at work, avoiding the use of his newfound arcane sight for now due to the risk of simply being blinded from his inexperience. He didn’t need it anyway; the gathering static and lightning showed him everything he needed to know… mostly. Expecting for it to be a straight up lightning bolt meant to jolt him directly he began shifting his energy into channels meant to ground and disperse the magical electricity and resulting wave of heat, unfortunately neglecting its thunderous repercussions. More focused on actually dodging a bolt than bracing against an unavoidable blast wave from its explosive heat he was sent sprawling to the ground with a few sharp clanks as the plates of his armor crashed against each other as he rolled two or three times. Hazy eyes opened up as he rolled again and staggered to his feet, catching the destruction from the overwhelming power with a silent, nervous grin directed towards the lycan. If this was to be a play fight, might as well go for something big and showy as well rather than the direct heartseeking blows that he usually attempted. With a slight shake of the head to clear his mind as much as he could he launched forward to the impact site of the lightning bolt, his steps ceasing as he began to swiftly slide along the ground straight to the burning tree. Arriving he reached out, seeming to grasp at some invisible force as he slid around and around the pyre before a few sparks of lightning began to form and arc around his hands, the remnants of Desparrow’s own spell reignited and refueled into jagged rings of glowing blue-white energy that lit his face up and scattered light off of his armor. Carrying it with him he surged back into his slide back to the field of battle before reaching them out towards the lycan, the rings of crackling energy shattering into curved streaks of light that impacted all around Desparrow with an uncountable number of simultaneous cracks. None would hit him, but if he thought it fun to taunt Linn he would find the scorched spots on the trees and earth repeating the jolt, this time directed right at him. They were enough to be quite painful and even numbing if they struck, but not enough to greatly affect his heart or burn him up. A grin of great mischief spread itself on Linn’s mouth, daring the lycan to try something else.

Desparrow rolled over, slowly recovering from his wounds that were caused due to Linn's and his own attacks. Another small coughing fit and he was able to get back to his feet, just in time for Linn to be back in front of him and electricity arcing around him. A few bolts went astray and landed on him, ripping through his muscles and nerves making his body seize in place. He knew if he moved the pain would only intensify due to breaking a direct contact with the ground. Until it passed he was frozen, glowering at Linn, though it became a sort of sick grin towards the end. A deep breath and in that instant upon exhale a burst of light flashed between them, a blinding light that would break contact between them. Des though suffering from the effects of his own spell managed to put some distance between them. "Alright Linn. Prepare for this one then." Des began to levitate, the flesh on his legs and feet dipping inwards in several places upon which small jets of magic flame used entirely for propulsion ignited. Inches above the ground he attained a crouching stance before jetting forward Linn but instead of directly making contanct he angled and blasted to the right. With each passing second he managed to get faster and faster, weaving between trees until he rushed towards his opponent, swinging out with a heel kick with enough velocity that the blow could be considered crushing even to an armored individual. The thing was that as his heel came out the back of his foot, the heel itself hardened like stone, the magic in his flesh transforming so that the give of his body would be far more little than if he had remained normal. When contact was made, if it was, the initial shockwave would be rebounded with a secondary blast like a piston that would transfer through des' leg, foot and then into whatever he struck with shattering results.

Linn watched and waited for Desparrow, honoring that he wasn’t supposed to kill the lycan in their fight, rather just have a good brawl that they’d walk away from with maybe a few bumps and bruises… okay maybe more than that but at least something they would recover from. The playful glance left him open for the flash of blinding light which prompted him to stagger backwards himself before planting his foot hard in the ground to take a sudden turn left in anticipation, throwing his arms out to keep his balance from the daze of the light and previous tossing. At the approaching Desparrow he twisted off in the opposite direction in an attempt to turn the impact to a glancing one, only for it to never come. He managed to track the lycan’s flight for a short while through the trees until his speed and the intermittent cover got the best of him. The enchanter caught Desparrow leaving into the clearing for the kick only with enough time to twist his back towards the foot, making it land square on the ridge of his mithril plating. On contact a burst of blue light flashed from underneath the armor, the plating turning diamond-hard to avoid being crushed and dispersing the impact over his entire backside enough to prevent any broken ribs. The blow itself brought little more than a winding and draining for the enchanter, though the reflected force of it was enough to throw him clear from his feet and some fifteen feet away before he hit the ground rolling again. This time he didn’t get back up, only able to slowly roll and curl up as he gasped for breath, the sharp sounds eventually turning to a pained groan.

Desparrow landed gently on the ground when he was done. Seeing Linn be thrown like that was both surprising, but exhilarating. Then the pain from his rib cage hit him again causing him to painfully double over. Cursing his own body he spat on the ground, moving over to where the crystal was. His body had shrank a bit, the mana that had him overflowing expended. The crystal itself he lifted into his hand and began to channel his excess directly into it. "I'm going to devise something with this." Finally he moved his way over towards Linn wanting to check up on him. to make sure he was alright. IF anything he would pick the man up and carry him to his home in Cernil.. OR warp them there. "You alright buddy? That last blow was untested."

Linn| Desparrow would have to work at Linn’s pack for a bit to get inside and find the crystal that was held up for display; the flap was held shut by a couple clear sapphires that worked as a magical clamp, though the enchantment could be disrupted enough to throw it open. Rummaging through he’d find many more leather-wrapped objects, many of them quite small with two or three larger than a fist. He’d also find quite a variety of rough, uncut gemstones, though any exceptionally hard or valuable ones weren’t open for immediate display. A few of the wraps of leather contained more of the incredibly concentrated magic, if in slightly different orders and forms. The one he was looking for was near the top though, and as he channeled his excess power into the thread its ends began to extend and grow, the fiber ending up roughly three times as long as it was at the start of their meeting. When Desparrow finally came over to ask if he was alright he groaned again, his eyes opening with a faint tinge of green in their irises. “Yeah… everything worked the way it should have. Just… head feels like it’s about to explode right now. Jerked too much from the impact.” A small pause as he took another deep breath, “May have to work on that enchantment a bit later.” Another pause as his eyes met Desparrow’s face narrowly, finding one of the marks he used to locate his valuable materials on his person. “Don’t go running off with that thing either. I need to keep a sample for myself as well. Can split it once it’s grown a bit.”

Desparrow knelt down next to Linn. "Hmm Let's see here then." he held the crystal in his palm and began pumping out more ethere out of his pores until Des felt his normal reserves drained to roughly in between half and fully saturated. His eyes were entirely focused on the crystal as ribbons of pure magic flowed into the crystal where it would store and promote growth. "Enchantments I don't bother with. When you are short on time, need to improvise, you may find that my artform is more versatile than your own. Also no need to worry. I have an idea for this thing. IF it can do what you say it can. I'll get something set up for you. On top of getting what you need for this." Des tapped a finger on the armor Linn wore, curious about what exactly the enchanter had built into it magically.

Linn managed to keep his eyes open, if squinting to keep excess light out as Desparrow continued to grow the crystal. “Yeah… just cut it in half or something for us right now. Sort out the details later.” As the lycan spoke of their differences in how they applied magic he managed a shrug, “Enchantments are simply a matter of time. When there isn’t much of said time… that’s when the fun begins.” At the taps on his armor he looked up inquisitively, “I know what I need to do with the armor… but what do you have in mind? Ideas are always fun.” Finally recomposing himself he uncurled to roll onto his back, wedging himself up on his elbows with a wince. His head felt quite heavy from the strain that the blow put on his neck before he decided to lay back down on the ground and let it rest for a bit. “Ugh… got any way to get me to Xalious?” he questioned with his own idea in mind on where to recover.

Desparrow watched as the crystal grew a few more points while getting larger. He extended a claw which lit up like a blowtorch, the edges of his nail becoming like plasma which he used to cleanly slice off a good sliver before placing the larger chunk in Linn's hand. Des had plans. "I can get you to Cenril, but Xalious is a bit different. I mean I could but.. that isn't so fun. I'd rather have you in one of my beds." he chuckled, offering the male a wink though his smile foretold he was merely being a bit mischievous and not serious about any sort of implied activity following. "What is your plan?"

Linn sighed as more threads spontaneously branched off of the crystalline strand. He’d fix it later. With the larger fragment in his hand he nodded, “Thanks.” At the mention of Cenril he snorted before wincing again in the pain it brought crashing back to his head. “I’d rather not Cenril. A few near-misses there and other people having some bad times there. I don’t want to go in there with the super shiny armor on display.” With a couple taps he chuckled. “I can probably just wait here for a bit longer to clear my head before getting up and heading off. It’s that tree. For whatever reason I heal injuries like this pretty quickly sleeping under it.” Green-tinged eyes flickered back to Desparrow with a bit of concern, “How are you faring after our little brawl?”

Desparrow opened his arms and showed off the growing bruise on his torso. Two fully broken ribs and several more cracked, and then he turned to show off bark still embedded in his flesh with blood oozing around them. "Its not too bad. Hurts like hell, but I'm used to pain. I actually have been gritting my teeth against it and moving my upper body as little as possible so as to not adjust muscle so these wounds don't get jostled too much. Also you said that tree?" If necessary Des would move him over to said tree, supporting necessary areas appropriately but all in all his eyes were back to normal, he was a healthy size no longer buffed up through oversaturation and his veins no longer bulged and were of normal color. "I feel considerably better though. Stagnant magic can be killer. Like poison."

Linn winced in shared pain seeing just what his own work had done to Desparrow. “You gonna be alright? Far as I can tell the worst thing I got is whiplash.” When Desparrow motioned towards some tree in the forest he shook his head, “No. The big one in Xalious with the silver leaves. The magic that thing gives off helps me to heal quite a bit.” When he spoke of feeling better the comparison with when they first met finally came through with a nod and a smile. “That’s good. If the problem is also stillness and not just overload I could help with that as well. Just a little work with routing what goes into the crystal.” His thoughts wandered to himself and the stagnant magic as he furrowed his brows. “Huh. Long as I lived with my own magic I don’t think I’ve ever had that problem. Every now and then circumstances would cause it to overflow but it never caused the issues you had on their own…” He sighed before attempting to sit up, doing so quickly as he could to keep the strain off of the muscles in his neck before he reached his hands out to the sides to steady himself. “Brain is so damn fragile…” he muttered.

Desparrow chuckled, "I was born with a power over magic. Since then I've nearly died four times and the last time did it in for me. My body is so comprised of it that I don't think I could live without it. Its just like blood. If your blood stopped running the oxygen wouldn't be carried to your organs, brain.. You would quickly die. I am constantly producing the energy, the raw essence of magic and it just like blood needs to keep moving. Even with water, stagnant pools tend to go sour, grow all manner of bacteria and become infested. Its not too different with this." He then sighed. "Xalious tree it is then!" His left eye went violet and he saw the tapestry of reality and with his hand pierced the cloth of space, tearing open two holes as a single gate. Through another dimension one could travel between here, and the Xalious tree. Des was able to create a portal straight there simply because he had been almost everywhere in the land and could picture it clearly in his mind so he knew where the gate needed to go. "Need help travelling? The eye can help you view things the mind cant' fully grasp without getting completely warped. Helps stave off the insanity. Its how I haven't fully gone mad by witnessing the imperceptible."

Linn chuckled in return. “I had a rather hard run-in with it that led to me getting my control. I guess it’s just some details of how it works with our bodies. Maybe it circulates on its own me through some binding with my blood. Dunno.” With another shrug he pushed forward onto his feet before extending himself to a standing position… and rapidly stumbling into the nearest tree to catch himself as he lost his balance. With a dissatisfied growl he held his hand out towards the pack before it drew up to him, the manipulation simple enough for his compromised mind to create. Putting the crystal back in its wrap and in the pack he lifted it to shoulder it as the portal opened. Turning his gaze to the lycan and his work he softened with some kind of admiration. “Making a portal just for me huh?” Curiously, he tried to view it again with the arcane sight, his right eye flashing violet before he had to wince again. “Bah. I’m just not in a condition to deal with that kind of stuff right now. Just close eyes and jump through I guess.” He approached the lycan, tottering a bit as he walked before he extended a hand for a shake. “Thanks for all of this. Best get going so you don’t have to keep holding it though.” Once the farewells were given he’d close his eyes and hurl himself straight through the portal to the other side.

Desparrow watched Linn move, and although it was a bit draining to hold open a third dimension he could sustain it for a considerable amount of time if he wanted. "Don't die. I expect you will be more durable next time and we can test other things on each other. Should be entertaining. Be safe." with that when Linn disappeared from sight Des would back away, letting the gate slip shut as reality healed itself in seconds. From then on he would nurse his body, the ribs couldn't be helped bu the bark in his back could be.

Linn snorted at the order not to die. “I’ll work on it. A little bit of pain and damage to find a vulnerability and patch it up. A process I don’t mind repeating… Be safe yourself!” With a grin, a nod, and a shake he staggered forward into the portal, his legs attempting to stay under him as he fell forward to fall somewhere that wasn’t in Sage.
