House of the Healer

Moving through the forest you see a home nestled among the trees and flowers. Fountains adorn the area, even a family of deer rest nearby. A few new saplings are blooming already, transplanted from another area, pink blossoms giving food to the hummingbirds nearby. By the side of the home is a barn of sorts clearly made for any mounts that people should bring with them. Reaching the door you feel an odd sense coming from the house; a warm feeling, comforting, it reminds you of home.

Stepping to the door of the house, you can see runes etched into the wood, though you don't know what it means you have the sense that only good can enter freely and those with evil intent must have the Healers or the Master of the House's blessing to enter; A sign here reads "Please Knock." Upon entering the entry room a gold plated sign on the wall catches your eye "There is no fighting in this house, all are welcome for treatment and all are to respect the rules. This is Neutral Ground." Entering the living area you see the walls are a pale blue trimmed in brown; Three couches sit in a half rectangle with two overstuffed chairs at the two corners of the couches; two face each other and the third at the top faces a moderately sized fireplace. Above the fireplace are an Axe and a Rapier, mounted on rosewood with the name engraved into the wood "Edward." There are pillows on the floor to sit and lay on, large enough for a child or a kitten to have as it’s own for a bed; there are flowers glowing in vases around the room along with a chest by the wall, bright letters read “Toys.”

Windows by the toy chest show a beautiful view of the forest; brown curtains line them, a double door in the center opens to a patio: chairs, tables, and a small couch reside out here overlooking the forest and large garden complete with outdoor toys for children to play on. There’s an opening in the fence around the patio, opening to a path that leads through the gardens. Beautiful flowers are in bloom here, herbs for the healer’s potions and flowers of such amazing hues you can only stand and stare in awe. Following the path leads further back to a small cemetery, with a Mausoleum marked with a family crest of Veldair. Following a path through the graves strewed with flowers and offerings to the souls you can read the names: One marker at the head has a dragon in flight, it seems to be a family crest the name "Filpien" below it, beside is an unmarked grave, beside that is a marker with musical notes all around it the name: "Edward", beside that grave is another; the marker elegant, with twin lightening bolts in gold, a V between them with the name "Carth" beneath it. Saying a soft prayer you decide to return indoors. Upon re-entering the living room you notice an elegant door with the words "Music Room", entering would show instruments of all kinds, and a view of the gardens.

A door by the fireplace has a sign in gold lettering that reads “The Healers Chambers," it seems to be the master bedroom. The open glass doors reveal a view of the gardens with a small patio and chairs to sit on as well as an opening here to lead into the herb garden. The bed is large with a lilac coverlet and deep purple and black pillows; a bookshelf filled with books and dressers are in the room; the room is warm, pleasant. A door to the side seems to lead to the bathing chamber. Leaving the room you see two doors side by side one reading “Saul” with the embossed images of snowflakes around the name, and the other “Kylie” with embossed flames. You turn to the stairs; a sign on the staircase with gold lettering reads "Second Floor: Guests and Patients. Third Floor: Private." One of the doors beside the staircase reads “Awne’s Lab” the next “Kitchen” with a door a little away that reveals a dining room.

Gorkall broke the tree line of the healers home. The Ogre proud of himself for remembering the way here even though he had only traveled once. As he made his way through the yard he gripped his left hand tightly in his right with a bloodied cloth wrapped tightly around it. The Horned Ogre made it to the wooden door of the home and raised his good hand to knock, keeping the cloth still on his bad hand with support from his stomach.

Awne appeared in her living room, in a flash of golden bubbles and light. sighing she moves to her lab that her husband had said she -had- to see. Things out of place and the writing on the wall...what had this jester done?? looking around her she frowns, potions were missing, damn that jester he stole from her! The runes light up on the wall, she had missed a knock on the door. Sighing she moves to the door and opens it, blinking in surprise "Sirr Gorrkall?" she asks in surprise, looking to the blood with a gasp, motioning him in "come in, come in, have a seat.."

Kumorohyou had been resting in his room, the smell of spice and jungle flowers perforating the upper floor of the house as his Spiritual pressure diffuses throughout the building. Upon sensing a familiar Lioness, and a familiar Ogre, the exotic shaman opens his electrified turquoise gaze, the color contrasting sharply with his dark-brown skin, rising from the circular mattress and making his way quietly downstairs with a concerned look on his face. He could smell Gorkall's blood hitting the air as if it were thrust right in front of his nose.

Gorkall was standing in the door way his greened skin a light pale as he seemed woozy from the hand. He moved in slowly and took a seat on the nearest couch. From where he lifted his soulless gaze to face Kumorohyou, A face he had not seen in a long, long time. Kumi was the first non-Ogre to make Gorkall feel equivalent to the rest of the land. An act that would never go forgotten. He forced a smile to his face and nodded to Kumi. "Hello, Kumorohyou. It's been too long my friend." The Ogre leaned back in the couch and slowly unwrapped the cloth revealing what seemed to be a simple slab of raw meat from wince his hand once resided. He spoke in a low voice to the healer. "I was just going to let it heal itself. But I wasn't able to sleep last night. Not even booze helped. I've blacked out six times since the travel here. Honestly, I'm not even sure how I arrived within a days walk." His lifted his gaze to Awne and ran his tongue across cracked lips. "I know I'm a bastard, But can you help?"

Awne smiles softly to him, moving past the panther with a kiss to his cheek, a greeting that she was glad to see him. Moving in front of the ogre she kneels beside him, holding her hand out for the slab of meat with a frown, what ha done this? what could have possibly have done this? sighing she looks up to him, "I need to ask...I don't know if it will hurrt you orr not..would you rratherr medicinal healing orr magical?" she frowns "I...can rregrrow it if you like.."

Kumorohyou returns the greeting from Awne with a kiss to her forehead before she leaves to examine the wound, the panther following suit. Donning his spectacles, the feline opens a cupboard where he had stored much of his medical supplies, removing a small jar that contains what appears to be a bunch of folded up, well-cut pieces of linen. "Gorkall-san. It has been too long. We are here for you, should you require healing."

Gorkall laid his head back and allowed his eyes to close. Trying to deal with the immense pain from his hand. After a few minutes he looked back up to the felines and set his gaze upon the white one. "So long as the Magic doesn't interfere with my mind, It is fine. It still hurts but not enough to send me into a rage. I need a quick fix healer. I feel horrible." Turning his eyes to the panther he smiled at his caring voice. Gorkall respected Kumorohyou more than anyone else he had met in the land thus far. A coy nod was given to his ally. "Do whatever the two of you need. I will pay whatever price, I just can't let my people see me this way."

Awne looks over to the panther for a moment "he needs his hand.." she says softly to him, and nods to the stump "can you keep him concious? passing out would be bad...he'll need to have a little help with getting his blood to rreprroduce fasterr." Her hands glow blue-white as she sets to work "This...This may hurrt.." she warns him, her left hand holds the meat reaching up with her energy to cut off the nerves and blood to that area, giving her time to heal. The right hovers over the stump, energy seeking out the information within the present bone before beginning, her energy dives inward, moving along slowly forming the complex bones and joints of the wrist and hand, just bone at the moment.

Kumorohyou nods, taking out a piece of the wet cloth and placing it over a part of the wound. The fluid that saturates the linen would turn blood red, causing the blood cells to multiply rapidly before reentering the Ogre's body. A pure biological phenomenon, the cloth sticking to the opening of Gorkall's wound acting as a culture that accelerates the growth of the blood cells. The shaman then rushes over to the kitchen sink, filling a goblet full of water and giving it to the priest, "You must stay hydrated, Gorkall-san."

Gorkall gritted his teeth and closed his eyes tightly. Sounds of pain emitting from his mouth as he whined in pain. A rare sight for an Ogre, but the magic caused him to almost be in tears. As Kumorohyou brought him the goblet his lifted a furiously shaking hand to take the goblet and upon taking it began to splash the water everywhere before it touched his lips. Downing the entire Goblet in only a few seconds he hands it back to Kumorohyou and shook his head madly speaking through his teeth to Awne. "Please Hurry. Please Hurry. Please Hurry."

Awne kept calm, the tips of his skeletan fingers finishing before she moves back over again, slowly, nerves and viens rushing over and to the cloth, suspended there, waiting. Her hand moves back over them, the glow now blue as muscle and tissue and the like begin to move over it all, the pace of the regeneration, going quicker as things became less complicated, and she was getting better with each regrowth. Over the tips she pauses and looks up to the panther "Kumo? can you rremove the cloth orr can it be melded with the skin and muscles?" she didn't want to join both parts until she knew, she was waiting, the skin the final part before reconnection.

Trishtar came down the stairs with a yawn before his eyes narrow at the Ogre, but this time he feigns a civil and polite smile. "I see you...ah...got injured?"

Kumorohyou removes the piece of cloth. It had served its purpose in keeping Gorkall's blood flowing at a safe level. "You can finish now, Onee-chan." The feline then places the blood-stained linen in a separate container before turning his exotic gaze to Trishtar, smiling to the dragon. After he washes his hands with a rag and some alcohol, the feline walks up to Trish and offers the man an embrace. It had been awhile since he saw him last.

Gorkall had let his head fall back once more. His brain felt like it was pounding against his skull as the pain of the healers work continued. He couldn't stand to look at his wound as it was being reformed, honestly this type of magic scared the hell out of him. At another voice entering the room he leaned his head up to face Trishtar only for a minute before collapsing back down. He expected some confrontation with the Dragon but would wait for Awne to finish before he risked it. His right foot tapped against the ground repeatedly as he whined beneath his breath like that of a pup in anguish.

Awne smiles softly "shh it's almost overr.." she said softly, that patient mothering tone of hers to soothe his mind. Her hand moves again, back towards the wrist, skin reforming under her guidance over the newly formed muscles and tissue, the inner workings vanishing under new skin. As she comes to the point of stopping she continue, moving all parts to the old, reconnecting nerves, viens, muscles, tissue and skin. Quickly her hand moves back, wrapping blue energy around his hand and with a few soft jolts of pulsing light it fades, skin matching in color and texture to the rest, muscle and tissue strong and ready for use. Sighing, she draws her energy away, letting the blood flow and the nerves feel the rest of his new hand "therre.."

Trishtar hugged the panther with a kiss to his cheek before saying happily "Kumo....I did not expect you to be here right now! How are you?" He then looks to the Ogre once again, before motioning for the panther to stay put while he goes into the kitchen. Moments later he returns with some ice and places the cubes in the ogre's other hand. "Chew on these.....the cold and action will take your mind off of anything for a few moments." Moving back to Kumo he says "I trust things have been going well? I...had a question for you about the centipede...."

Kumorohyou purrs in response while watching Awne finish her healing, "I am well, Turishta. Jangal just welcomed a new shaman to my generation's council, and we've opened a few new trade routes with the Desert felines. We're also working on improvements for our training ground built for newcomers." At the mention of the centipede, the panther cocks his head slightly before asking, "What did you wish to know?"

Gorkall seemed dull in the mind after the healing process was complete. The Ogre lifting his hand to eye it for a moment as Trishtar approached. He took the ice cubes and eyed them closely. Certain that they were poisoned or something. But at this point he didn't care. He lifted two of the cubes to his maw and began to gnaw on them. After a few minutes of silence he looked up to Awne with exhausted eyes. "Healer, I've traveled a long way on this eve. On the way in I noticed a barn outside. I was hoping I could stay there until the sun finds it way back to us. If this is a kindness you can afford, I will gladly take it. But if you do not trust me on your grounds I understand. I will travel to the Red Ogre Inn in Larket." Gorkall cast a glance to his hand once more and sighed before looking back to Awne and then Kumorohyou. "How much do I owe the lot of you?"

Awne shakes her head " no money is exchanged herre." she looks up to the panther than back again "at least not with me." she stands and frowns to him "I have rrooms on the thirrd floorr, they will change to what you wish them to be...wouldn't you rratherr that then the barrn?" she frowns faintly then holds her hands, and looks over to the shimmering vase on the mantle, magic protecting the ashes, a gold place card with "og" written on it. She sighs and looks back to him "I..can show you to Og's cabin.."

Trishtar asks Kumo with a whisper so that Awne coud not hear what was being said. "The Centipede...Ym-whatever. He did something odd the other day, and let Awne go into his body and was teaching her how to use his body to hunt and exert dominance...is this something I need to be mindful of?" Looking to Gorkal he would re-affirm what his wife had said after he ate the non-poisoned cubes. "You are welcome to any room you wish....except the master bedroom of course, but any other room you might wish...it can be yours for the night."

Kumorohyou had heard of the phenomenon that Trish spoke of. It wasn't dangerous to the Mind or Body, but it could have psychological implications if one spent too much time within a body that is not their own. Turning to Gorkall for the moment, the shaman replies to the Ogre in his peculiar accent, "I do not ask for payment, but if you wish, I will let you decide what my work is worth to you, Gorkall-san." The panther doesn't complain about how much or how little he is given. Turning back to Trish, the feline whispers back.

Gorkall seemed in a daze as his eyes flickered around the room. After hearing Kumorohyou he thought it only respectful to pay the Panther. Reaching to his belt he unfastened his coin pouch and stared into it with a look of dismay upon his face. "Well... It would seem the filthy humans of Cenril took advantage of me on my trip here. Must've gotten to me when I blacked out..." He released a sigh and shook his head trying to stay awake. "I'll stop at the bank tomorrow and send some coin your way Kumi." Gorkall then looked to Trishtar at the mention of rooms and wondered why the Dragon wasn't at his throat for once. But his final sight turned back to Awne. He tried to raise his hand to gesture to her in thanks but it fell back to his lap. "I do not wish to defile my brothers room with my presence." Gorkall had Og's ashes hanging on his bag fastened with some branches and chains. A makeshift prison of sorts to keep his brother safe. The Ogre tried to lift himself to find his way to the barn but couldn't move. He actually closed his eyes and began to slip off into a sleep right there on the couch. His goblin-skulled staff slipping from his hand to the floor below as he drifted into a deep sleep. Hopefully his horns wouldn't stab Awne in the eye due to her distance from him as his chin fell to his chest.

Awne sighs softly to the ogre, about to make her protest when he started to fall asleep. Eeping she jumped out of the way of the horns and frowned. Looking up to her husband she smiles and rests her hands to the ogres shoulders "I'll take him to a rroom...The barrn's warrm now but he doesn't deserrve that." She smiles to him and looks back to the ogre, gold light wrapping around them both as bubble lights move over them. They vanish quickly, reappearing in a room on the third floor. It was simple now, but she was going to change that. He had managed to find himself on the bed, to which she gently pushed him back to the pillows. Moving to the wall she rests her hand, thinking of the hutt she had been in once in the ogre village, the room shifting and changing to look much like it, difference included the bathing room off to the side, though it looked more like a hot spring, more furs to the bed, and still no window though a fire was roaring to keep him warm. Moving back to the ogre, she moves the furs over him to make sure he was comfortable, waving the fire lower before leaving, closing the door quietly.

Trishtar watches the Ogre fall asleep out of the corner of his eyes, and makes a mental note to drop a letter off at the room of the male later. Turning back to Kumorohyou he said with a relieved sigh "Well thank goodness for that. Every time she spends time with him, I always feel like something terrible will happen though I am learning to be tolerant. I dont mind them spending time together near as much as I had. Though..you say he should be able to survive Jangal soon. Does that mean that he plans to return? Or that he is here for a test or to grow?" He didnt mean to be asking so many questions, they were just coming to his mind.

Kumorohyou could not believe he had forgotten to explain this to Trishtar. Sighing, the feline takes a seat in one of the chairs before speaking in his exotic accent, "Ym has never had any sort of contact with those of his own kind. He has not learned what is expected of him, which would explain some of his behavior. I hope that his Spirit can achieve a completeness that only Jangal can provide for him. Should he return unharmed from the wilderness, you may find him a very changed Centipede."
