RP:Meeting a Similar Background

Phaedra entered the tavern and made her way to the bar but not before she offered those in the building a smile. Taking a seat she ran her fingers through her silky hair wondering what this day would bring.

Tyler rests at the bar with his elbows propped on the aged wood and chin resting upon his knuckles. Unlike most days, there isn't a drink in front of him. While some might simply think him ill, the man just found himself not feeling the urge to get plastered and waste the day away in a dizzy drunken state. His thoughts are interrupted by the arrival of a newcomer. Looking to his left two stools over he spots a gothicesque looking woman and hesitates only for a moment before picking himself up and heading to the stool by her side. "What're you having?" He asks in a casual tone, the man offering to pay for whatever beverage the woman might have. Not usually this kind to strangers nor socially inclined, Phaedra had managed to pick a rare day to enter the tavern as she gets the honor of speaking with the blue haired, cartoony dressed human.

Phaedra turned her gaze to male as smile upon her full lips, Why kind sir you chose for me as it seems I am not a big drinker these day She gazes at the male softly taking in his appearance, she offered him a pale hand.

Tyler extends his hand in return only after pulling the over sized glove that covered it off first. Offering a light grip and shake he nods to her request and calls over Mesthak while he replaces the glove. Once the dwarven barkeep arrives the human orders a mixed drink for the woman. The beverage would be fruity and a lower level alcohol content to mask the taste and odor. For himself, the human only orders a water. Tossing a few coins in payment Mesthak moves off to gather the order. Tyler turns back to Phaedra, his caramel colored eyes setting upon her own. "Tyler Dyalus by the way, unemployed slob of Kelay. Yourself?" He asks with a confident voice. Despite his claim of being unemployed the large coin pouch tied to his belt seemed to state otherwise.

Phaedra smiled at the gentleman Well it is a pleasure Tyler Dyalus I am just Phaedra, it seems my memory is gone and all I can remember of life started from yesterday The woman sighed softly as if frustrated but remembered she was with company and offered Tyler another smile.

Tyler tilts his head slightly in light admiration of the woman's admission of harsh memory. The feeling of similarity all too familiar due to Tyler's recent woes including a 'rebirth' type scenario. Deciding that the topic isn't best to linger on due to potential awkward hitches he gets ready to change subject just as the drinks arrive. Taking the red mixed drink he places it before Phaedra and take the glass of water for himself. He would raise the glass to offer a toast before taking a heavy chug from the water and setting the glass down with a tap. "Well, as unfortunate as that may seem, there must be some reason you've decided to come to Kelay. This little lawless nowhere town of nothing but drunks." He jokes as he sizes up the woman and listens intently for ignorance, deceit or genuine confusion.

Phaedra looked deep into his eyes, The truth is I yearn to know my life but it is like some black haze has wiped it from my memory, there is a fire that burns deep within me to know who I am but I guess I have no family or they'd of found me by now Her beautiful face looked so sad yet if you looked closely into her eyes you could sense that fire she spoke of.

Tyler is a bit taken back by her sudden tone that carried waves of depressing marks. But the man didn't allow his complexion to betray his emotions and instead simply offered a playful smile and laugh as he shakes his head before taking another drink of water. "Family is rather worthless. I don't have any and I tend to think I'm better off without the ties." He shrugs before staring back to her once more. "I don't think you should be concerned about who you are, or what you were so on and so forth. What matters is the now, and what you do with it. Who cares what you used to be?" A statement that carried a worlds worth of weight in Tyler's situation.

Phaedra smiled her features change "I need to get out of this way of thinking I will find myself again and when I do I will thank you kind Tyler moving closer to him she planted a kiss so soft and gentle upon his cheek. Might I call you a friend and when ever i am in doubt or confused we can have a drink Smiling she tasted the fruity drink, pulling the glass back from her mouth she licked her lips then finished the rest of the drink in one go. That was lovely.....what is this drink called? And since she wasn't a drinker she could feel a warm feeling rush to her head, making her giggle somehow.

Tyler is surprised by the kiss and a pinkish red hue claims his cheeks in a slight blush before he finally snaps out of it, his eyes adjusting from blank space back to the woman forcing himself to remove any visible sign of flattery. "Well, you can call me whatever the hell you want, but I'm none to reliable in the friendship field though I don't see why not, having a drinking partner might be more fun than loathing away I s'pose." His eyes widen as she chugs the drink and he chuckles softly while he shrugs, "I haven't the faintest. I just told Mesthak here to bring something fruity and light." He can't hide the smile that spreads at her giggling. "Maybe you should take it slow next time, don't want you puking all over the place, eh?"

Phaedra looked the male straight in the eyes her features so soft and beautiful and happy now she ran her fingers through her silky hair and pouted slightly in a joking way. Don't worry I shall not be puking I am lady not a thug but either way I certainly enjoyed that drink Running a pale finger across her full lips she gazed at the man before her. Would you care for a drink or are you the type who gets the ladies drunk while drinking water? She cocked her head in a mocking fashion smirking so hard her lips curled at the corners and before she knew it a laugh had escaped her full lips. Dear Tyler you are certainly someone who holds a good few secrets, I sense I warrior who keeps himself away from others by choice, tell me more of your life my friend, I'd love to hear it Smiling she looked into his eyes intensely awaiting his reply.

Tyler's features are ever shifting in this conversation and he allows a faux look of offense to the woman while his eyes bounce to the nearly empty glass of water and then back to her. "Well, perhaps you're no thug, but I've had my share of puking in the streets for the past few weeks and thought I'd take myself a day off. Y'know, surprise my liver by drinking water once in a while." Taking hold of the glass of water he spins it around on the counter top while providing a short laugh and shaking his head. "I'm 'fraid you're wrong on that part. I'm no warrior, nor am I one to take advantage of woman. As said, I'm the slob of Kelay. I contribute nothing and take what's being given." Though he claims to be not of warrior linage, the katana resting upon his hilt and multiple hidden kunai that flash in the open when he is uncaring to cover them speak a different tale. He does however, indulge Phaedra in a vague recollection of the previous admitted similarity between the two. "Perhaps back in the day I was a murdering rapist, but like you, I don't know anything of my past life." A lie. In a recent slaughter he had captured all memories of his bodies former host. "Though I believe the now is what matters. And for now, I'm a nothing and damn proud of it."

Dergious eyes the corpse with an odd expression "Do ah be knowin you?

Phaedra offered the stranger a smile I do not know if we know one another.....it seems I have no memory of my life She returned her gaze to Tyler then back to the stranger who had spoken to her.

Phaedra offered Tyler another smile I like your attitude friend, the way I see it tell it how it is or not at all Running her hand through her hair again she started to become a little nervous as she wasn't so good in big crowds.

Tyler offers Dergious only a casual glance and can't help but make a mental note of how repulsive the dirty little dark dwarf looks, however when he turns back to Phaedra his eyes would narrow as he takes notice of her nervous state and the sly smile returns to the edge of his mouth. He wouldn't press on to find the source of her discomfort, but attempts to draw her attention directly to him. "Well, I'm pleased someone finds me anything besides worthless for once. Would you care for another drink? Something to eat perhaps?"

Phaedra would love to take Tyler up on his offer but she senses something and has to find out what it is. Please don't think me rude but i must go for now can I take you up on your offer next time your around? She again kisses his cheek and smiles at him softly knowing she had made a friend.

Tyler nods in acceptance of Phaedra's sudden need for departure. The human finding it her escape route from the growing crowd and presuming that was the source of her sudden nervous desperation. The second kiss to the cheek doesn't bring the same effect as the first, but does earn Phaedra and smile and short wave. "See ya' around, Phaedra."
