RP:Meeting Mirshann

Summary: Magik brings his daughter to Meri's gallery for a surprise visit.

Meri will bring it up...! In a way. With sushi. After a fight. It'll be cute, but Meri's going to worry first. FOR NOW. Let's see. Where does Meri park her horse when she is in Cenril? That is where she is currently, not in the gallery at all but outside. In a sturdy wooden barn that has been built against the gallery. If Magik has never noticed it before, the sounds of a giggling child might lead him to both Meri, Fleur, and the horse that may or may not have been secretly murdered and resurrected. Fleur is giggling because Kadence is making funny faces while the kid teases the horse with pieces of apple.

Magik did indeed follow the cheerful sounds of Fleur. The elf starts whistling before arriving at the barn so he doesn't surprise anyone, more importantly the horse Fleur is playing with. Just outside the barn, Magik knocks on some wood them steps in, "Hi, guys."

Meri was leaning against the far wall of the small barn when Magik arrives, just watching the child with the horse. She was close enough that she could yank Fleur away if need be, but it wasn't top concern. Even if Magik wasn't whistling, this bunch probably could have caught his scent before they spotted him. The whistling causes Meri to smirk though, and the knocking causes that smirk to widen, "Well, well, well. Look who it is," is the coy greeting Magik gets from Meri. And from Fleur, he'll get an excited, "Magik!" She's also holding out a chunk of apple bit to him. It's not clear if he's supposed to eat it or feed it to the horse. Hopefully the horse, as it has hay bits on it.

Magik smiles at Meri and winks to her. The elf gasps at Fleur's exclamation and moves to her side, "Fleur!" He takes the apple and pretends to take a big bite before holding it out for Kadence. As Magik does his thing with Fleur and Kadence, an average height young lady steps into the barn as well. She brushes her black hair out of her face to reveal her flaming blue eyes. She rolls her eyes at Magik then awkwardly waves to Meri, "Hi, I'm Mirshann.." Soon to follow behind her...Oat. The black wolf bumps Mirshann's rear for no reason while he waits for Fleur to notice him.

Meri initially registers Mirshann as some stranger approaching, maybe a customer trying to get the attention of the shop owner. So at first, Meri is treating Mirshann like she might any other random. An easy going smile is at first displayed on Meri's red lips....and then Mirshann introduces herself and Meri goes about as white as a ghost. Cat got your tongue, Meri? The blonde is both excited, embarrassed, and surprised all rolled up. "I....Hi. Yes. Magik did not tell me that he was bringing you out today...Or else I might have like. Not been in the stables. Or maybe made dinner." Or maybe mentally prepared so she's not rambling like a fool. "But I am very glad to meet you. And. Oh. Yes. Meri." Fleur is much more carefree, and will be the reason that Meri's chattering is interrupted. "Oat...!" The wolf is going to get a big hug from the kid first, and then the child will consider Mirshann.

Magik | Mirshann arches a slender brow at Meri's choice of words 'brought you out' and softly folds her arms across her chest. She made a promise to Mag to play nice tonight so she lets it slide. Before the young D'Chath can reply, Magik cuts in while he attempts to feed and pet Kadence, "You're fine, babe. I just thought I, we'd surprise you." Magik already has it planned that he'll be cooking tonight. Whether Mirshann and Ohtar join them will depend on how Mirshann feels. Ohtar was equally excited to see Fleur and makes it a point to cover her in the best wolf kisses. Seeing Ohtar react to Fleur puts a slight smirk on Mirshann's face. She then looks back to Meri as she stumbles on a few words with that same smirk. The focus doesn't remain on Meri long before Mirsh kneels down. "Hi, Fleur. I'm Mirshann. Magik's daughter." She then proceeds to pet Ohtar as well and tells Fleur how lucky she is to have Oat look after her. Magik eventually makes his way to Meri's side to give her a quick peck on the cheek.

Meri was pretty sure that she blew that first impression, she just couldn't quite pinpoint exactly what she said that earned her that lift of the brow. Magik tries to cut in and assure Meri that she's fine, and Meri smiles in response. She doesn't believe him but she's got go try and win over Mirshann somehow, she's decided. The blonde seems a bit less nervous with the whole 'meeting the daughter' situation as she watches Mirshann and Fleur interact. Overall, the toddler is pleased with the conversation and is pretty much agreeing with Mirshann, pretty much telling Mirshann about how cool she thinks Oat is. The toddler seems to have forgotten all about Kadence now that she gets to talk about Oat. As for Meri and Magik, the blonde is taking hold his hand and pressing a kiss to his jaw before confirming, "This is definitely a surprise. One that I'm glad for." Mostly. She did want to meet Magik's daughter. "Should. We. Get out of the stables maybe...head inside...?"

Magik squeezes Meri's hand as he watches Mirsh and Fleur, "Sure. I can start throwing some dinner together if you want.." Did someone say dinner? Mirshann looks up at Magik and gives him a certain look. As in, she's hungry and he should have started cooking minutes ago. Mirshann's attention is back on Fleur, "Can you show me some of your toys, Fleur? Maybe we can find something for Ohtar too.."

Meri slides an arm around Magik’s torso as the group presumably starts making their way inside and into Meri’s flat. “As if you even have to ask,” Meri teases Magik. “I think you might just know your way around my kitchen better than I do at this point.” A joke, as Meri is in there plenty often. She has a kid to feed. Fleur is more than happy to show Mirshann all of the toys once they are inside. Some of them might be good for Ohtar, most of them are not. Blocks. Dolls. She does have a ball, it’s a big ball though. Meri tries to offer up something that she thinks might be fun for the both of them, “She does have things to color with too...And we’ve got plenty to drink up in here, if you’d like. Wine, maybe?” Yes, Meri stocked up, for Rumiko. And to Magik, “So what’s on the menu tonight? Is it...sushi?”

Magik | Mirshann is doing the couple a favor tonight. She's keeping Fleur occupied with whatever she wants to do. She does take a moment to get a glass of wine from Magik as she tells Meri what Magik has planned, "He was saying something about steak earlier.." Magik nods his head, "Mhm. Steak." Mirshann joins Fleur on the floor, careful to not spill her wine of course. Ohtar is joining in on whatever fun as well. Magik suggests to Meri to take a load off for the night. He'll handle the cooking and cleaning. Meri deserves a break.

Meri doesn’t know what to do with herself. Mirshann has the kid, Magik has the cooking and the cleaning. Should...Meri sneak off for her own private bath while she can? She doesn’t though. As tempting as it is to stay in the kitchen and harass the chef, the blonde doesn’t. She instead goes to hang out with the kids for a bit, who knows when she’ll really get the chance to try and get to know Mirshann face to face again. Meri plops herself on the ground with Fleur and Mirshann and joins them in their game, “Steak. One of my favorites.” Meri smirks. “I am not too shabby about cooking it either. I’d offer to cook for you and demand you judge who is better.” She motions to that man in the kitchen. “But I already know it’s him.” Meri’s will keep spending time with Mirshann, Fleur, and Ohtar, until that steak is smelling done. Then she’ll harass Magik in the kitchen a bit, goosing him while making demands of, “How much longer.” You know. Typical Meri things. Feed her.
