Meadow - The One with No Name is Enslaved

A path runs through this meadow from the merchant's corner, and then turns west. Your sure that it would save time for the path to just cut straight west, but the maker of this dirt road obviously wanted travelers to see this serene place. Long, soft grass, and wild flowers invite you to lie down here and enjoy the peace and quiet of this place. Bees hum from flower to flower, collecting the sweet nectar, and unknowingly the means to create the plants offspring. This meadow shows how dignified and simple life can be sometimes, and you feel the need to ponder your own existence in this world called Hollow. To your west you see a path leading into the hills, while to your north you can see a building.

Diamond layed on the ground, curled up, and her black back apperant in the darkness as she lay away from the enterance. Her chest heaved ever so softly, and a hand seemed to be on her neck....and there was an odd noise. It...if someone listened to the soft noise it could be told to be someone crying. Dia was obviously the only person in the meadow at the moment, so....go figure

Aranhil had entered the meadow once more, thinking it best not to push the massive cart through the mountains once more he walked only with a pack over his right shoulder. Though, as fate would have it he was more open now than he was before about what was around him. It didn’t take long for him to once more see Diamond. He thought that perhaps his mind was playing tricks on him when he closed his eyes and shook his head before looking once more and seeing her still there. A smile broadened across his face as he began to run for her, though as he would approach it would fade, something seemed off once more.

Diamond heard the footsteps..They sounded loud. Was he back? She stayed silent and stiff, but she screamed anyway. Covering her face with her hands and idly rubbing at her right cheek, " No! Stay away! You did enough you crude bastard!" Then she fell silent....Waiting for the man to grab her and most likely take her to her new owner....If only she had looked first

Aranhil was shocked at the scream. He slowed down to barely creeping towards her, and when he did reach her he placed a caring hand on her shoulder. “Tell me, what is wrong, what has happened since last I saw you?” Suddenly a small fox like creature would come up into the meadow from the path that Aranhil had used. Seeing its master it would run up to him and sit idly behind him wondering what was going on, or perhaps, when it shall be fed.

Diamond looked up slowly and let out a small sigh of relief. Yes, there was something new to her. One, on her neck was an enchanted collar. On her right cheek was a rub mark, as if she had been rubbing on it for the last few minutes, and her emerald eyes had the fainest glow to them, " O-oh...Aranhil..." Slowly she sat up and hugged her knees, " S-someone tricked me...I am a slave now." She grabbed the collar, gave it a jerk then yelped, " I can't get it off, and if I try it shocks me....I-I was tricked!" It seemed like her main concern. To trust, and then not be able to trust after barely trusting, confusing but thats how she felt

Aranhil stared at the collar, for nothing he had would help. None of his herbs or potions could remove such a device. He was angry at himself because he knew this, he felt helpless. Then it occurred to him. Was this by the same man that had captured Dawn before? It seemed like something he would do. And so now, he would ask once more questions to Diamond, “Can you tell me who did this to you, what happened?”

Diamond tapped her chinm " he said his name was...Belliums?..he told me to call me Bell. He came in here saying he was starving and injured and needed help. After we talked for a bit he asked if this is where I slept and I told him sometimes, then he offered a place to sleep and I said no...Then he attacked me with this...this collar..." She stared at it, placing a finger to it and running it around the edge

Aranhil thought quickly, his name was Bell. He would remember that name well. Already in his mind he was devising a way to capture and kill this Bell. “Its okay, Ill get you out of this somehow, Ill pay for your release. You can still trust in me.” He wanted nothing more than to find out how to contact this man right now. Pay him to release her of this misfortune if nothing else. Now he wondered how he would catch him, surely he was well practiced in the slave trade. It was then that the fox pushed up against his arm. He turned seeing what it was and smiled as he petted its head. Then as if jumping to life a question entered his mind. How had the fox found him when he had wandered off in the mountains before? He stared at the fox now and saw it as it smelled at his pack. He sat it down and opened it up somewhat ignoring Diamond now. The fox would hesitate before sticking its head in the pack and coming out with a mint leaf ins muzzle. It was then that he knew how he would capture this slave trader. He looked up to the woman a large smile on his face. “Its okay, I know how to solve this problem so it will never happen again. The idea was simple enough, another mint leaf hidden on the collar somehow and allow the fox to lead them strait to the man that would by then no longer be disguised. “We got him!” he explained allowed.

Diamond stared at the man and looked confused, " I think its to late. He said I was to go quickly. I don't doubt him...he seemed to know what he was doing." She sat up and rubbed her palm again her cheek, and then begna to dig her nails into the flesh," Listen...When I remember. Damnit, when I remember how to fight I will hurt him so badly!" The elf wasn't sure if before hand she even knew how, but she wished and dreamt to be able to....." I do trust you Aran...Only one that I do..."

Aranhil caught her trying to dig into the flesh and instinctively reached out and grabbed her by each wrist. Holding her hands he would look into her eyes, his own optics full and caring, hope would surely spring from there to her. “Trust me, it will end. Ill purchase you and then give you your freedom. Don’t worry, he wont be a problem for much longer.

Diamond wanted to still claw at the skin...it reeked of the man's lips. If she had fire, she would even burn it. She really wanted to scratch at it again... " Aran....Its fine. Don't waste your gold on me. Perhaps if I was more careful, or if I knew how to fight I wouldn't be in this mess, but I am, not you..." Dia shook her head and closed her eyes," I think I am going to get some sleep soon....Maybe when I wake up it will just be another nightmare, or hallucination."

Aranhil listened to her and said nothing against it, he nodded as if to agree but inside he was already seeing himself setting the bait. “Here, drink this so you sleep well.” He said as he once more pulled free of his bag a blue vile and hands it to her to drink. Once she would drink he would do once more what did a night or so before. After she closed her eyes and fell asleep he would start to work, the barriers would be easier to set up for him now since he had already entered her mind before. Still it sapped a lot of magic from him and he would sit beside her and rest for a bit before he would set himself up in the trees and wait as if the slave trader would come to retrieve her now.

Diamond stared at the drink...She had a sudden urge not to sleep, not to drink it. To just leave and a make a new life again, where her memories meant nothing...But it was to late, she was in to deep. So she did take the vial, and she did drink it. The elf did lay down and fall asleep, not even noting the man do his magic work. And there she would lay soundlessly until she would wake up, or be waked up

Aranhil sat amongst the trees now, hidden from view. The power of his armlets and giant strength rings would do well enough should the slaver show his face here once more.
