RP:Guyon meets Kenneth

From HollowWiki

The sound of the earth's protests is what drew the centaur and his companion to the caves. Slightly concerned for the well-being of those that usually haunt the cavernous mines, Guyon races in - followed by Sanzli. All of the centaur's noble intent was for naught as he witnessed the first bit of terramancing - aside from his own limited abilities- he had seen in the lands. His jaw had slackened slightly, but regaining himself, Guyon shut his mouth and approached the man. "'Ow are yeh doin' tha'?" Is all the centaur manages to ask the stranger.

Kenneth huffed loudly as he was approached by a centaur. "Umm...well...Terra...." He coughs. "Terramancy is my core....my core element...So...I'm a...terramancer..." HE grinned a bit, but it was obvious he was tired after that one move

Guyon raises his hands quickly, meaning to show no malcontent to the man. "I didn't mean teh scare yeh, but tha' was 'mazing." Taking quick note of the man's weakened state, Guyon reaches to his side, his human torso bending at an odd angle, to reach for a large flask of water. Righting his torso, the centaur extends his hand and the water towards the stranger. "'Ere, 'ave some." Smiling slightly, Guyon's tail flicks away dust and flies before he adds, "Meh name 's Guyon. Could yeh teach me tha'?" His speech was a staccato "Well, I alre'dy know 'ow, jus' nawt tha' well."

Kenneth greedily took his sips, wiping off his face with his leather sleeve. After a moment, he sighed, his speech less scattered by weakness. "Well...Thank you, sir....I'm honored to be an amazment...Hmm...teach...Well...hmmm....I suppose...I am in need of an apprentice...Only if you give me a name, sir...Name's Kenneth Silver, Intelligence Officer of The Fold." He held out his left gloved hand. Should the man notice after shaking, the hand did not feel normal under the glove.

Guyon smiles broadly, grasping the man's hand; the weight, he noticed, seemed off for an average appendage, but Guyon chose not to address it. Chuckling slightly and still shaking Kenneth's hand, Guyon repeats himself "Meh name's Guyon. Of the tribe of Mammon." Guyon pauses only briefly, his brows knit together "Teh Fold? Wha's tha'?"

Kenneth nodded at him. "Nice to meet you, Guyon. The Fold is a clan that I'm in...Fight for the good. Although, I believe everyone as good in them." He let his hand go and thought for a second. "So...You want to inprove your terramancy skills, ehh?"

Guyon muses quietly to himself- there were far too few 'good' out there, but shook his head- his mind was on more pressing matters. Nodding vigorously "Yeh, I do. I can do some o' it, but nawt to teh extent I jus' witnessed yeh doing."

Kenneth said to you, "Well...Show me what you can do first..so I know how much I must teach.""

Guyon nods slowly, twisting his human torso to the left to reach for a large leather sack. Grasping the neck of the bag with his left hand, the centaur upends it, allowing the contents to drop onto the cavern floor. A shallow hissing sound is heard as the contents empty themselves: sand. A small pile begins to accumulate on the floor, slowly growing larger until the last few grains of sand fall. Looking up at Kenneth briefly, the centaur cannot help but imagine that the man would at least raise an eyebrow at the substance. Pursing his lips together briefly Guyon states: "So far I 'ave only been able teh manip'late sand- as it's my 'ome element. I was born 'nd raised in the desert, see..." As Guyon speaks, he narrows his eyes focusing his mana to flow down into his hands and reach out for the sand in front of him. "...'Nd when I was young, I learned I 'ad a knack fer moving sand; but n'one knew 'ow teh teach me." Sighing slightly, Guyon shifts his weight from his back hooves to his front, the motion seems to disturb the sand more blatantly than it should have. The golden substance gives a jolt and rises slowly into the arrow, the grains of sand compacting together to form a solid arrow. Reaching out his right hand, the centuar grasps the now solid creation, his fingers curling deftly around its mass. A small smile breaks out onto the centaur's face as he relaxes his grip. It may have been spontaneous to the untrained eye, but Kenneth would be just as aware as Guyon that the arrow didn't move on its own. A small light seems to radiating from the sand, but rather it is just a reflection of what light is available. Silently, the arrow arcs through the air, colliding with the cavern wall. Dust settles and a rather sizable hole, perhaps a foot or so in diameter, is seen in the cave wall, the sand once more in a pile on the floor.

Kenneth examined the show carefully. A man of precise detail, Kenneth analyzed each movement and tactic for the demonstration. As the sand drop, he made no reaction, for he was too busy concentrating. AFter the display, he grinned. "Impressive...Very impressive..."

Guyon cannot help but smile at the approval, extending out his hand, the centaur flicks it quickly and draws the sand back to the flask. A few moments pass and all the contents are regathered and the sack is replaced back to Guyon's side. A deep breath and Guyon shakes off the slight fatigue that was working through him. "I can do more than tha' but nawt much." Flicking his tail, Guyon takes a small step towards Kenneth "So can yeh teach me? More I mean."

Kenneth nodded at teh man. "I've been looking for an apprentice lately...I'm sure you are someone willing to learn...So...yes!" He smiled at him.

Guyon's smile widens even more, his whole face contorted in a satisfied grin. Lifting and dropping his hooves in excitement, the centaur begins to pace, mumbling slightly to himself. Stopping abruptly, Guyon ceases all nervous motions, regaining his usual proud composure. Bowing slightly to Kenneth, Guyon says "Thank you fer your patience, and yer willingness to take me on. I promise yeh I'm a fast learner."

Kenneth nodded at the man. "Yes, yes...I'm sure you will be..Anywho...I must be off....I have some things to take care of....daughters to see.....a job..you know the drill....Till next time my friend...Oh..and I'll see you again..meeting you opened my mind with your's...communitcation is possible through our mindlink ok?"

Guyon nods slowly, "O' course, I understand." Lifting his head slightly the centaur gives a small smile "Ah, yes," raising his right hand and tapping his temple "Teh path is op'n naow, so feel free."

Kenneth half-saluted the centaur. "Till next time..." With that, he exits.
