Snowy Bridge

Satoshi is currently 'entertaining' herself with an exceedingly dangerous game that involves balancing on the edge of the icy bridge and leaning forward whenever the wind begins to blow, allowing it to support her slight weight while she attempts to predict when the force will stop so that she can withdraw before gravity sinks its claws in. Thus far, she's succeeded in tempting fate for the better part of an hour, while Trebel flutters clumsily in the air around her chiming his enjoyment at her questionable antics.

Kasyr is a bit further down the bridge, though not in a guise most people would recognize him as. The Revenant is, after all, garbed from head to toe in a blanket of snow- the Kensai having simply taken to sitting on the edge of the bridge and watching after Satoshi. Really, the only thing that marked him as something other than a snowman, is the dull glow of the cigarette at his lips.

Kirien has questions he's not sure he wants the answers to. This reluctance has played a big part in keeping him from bursting into Satoshi's private quarters, along with the general desire not to further deepen the darker mood he's sensed surrounding the magus ever since he made his return to Frostmaw. Still, he worries, and his pacing back and forth around the colosseum has since turned into aimless wandering, and now he is so caught up in his thoughts that he does not even notice where he's walking. Only when Kirien comes to realise that his hair is standing on end does he take note of his current position; he's practically mirroring Satoshi, like a reflection in a pool of water, hanging upside down under the bridge as though such a queer position is totally normal. It's likely that he's only still attached to the slick underside of the bridge by his curious connection to the earth, which he utilises to its fullest in order to lean out a bit, expression mostly unreadable, and say during a moment when the wind's howl has quietened, "Chickadee. What -are- you doing?" Like his antics are any less odd.

Satoshi is in the midst of drawing back from the edge as the winds recede when that voice reaches her, the sound snapping her out of her absent dance with death and sending her stumbling and flailing on a collision course with her snowman-imitating husband. While the kit may be startled and attempting to recover her composure, Trebel seems thoroughly delight at discovering Kirien below the bridge. With an amused ring he twists himself around mid-air to cling to the structure's underside, mirroring the terramancer like a white feathery bat. "Bright Eye... what are -you- doing.. down there?" Satoshi demands, uncomfortably breathless in her surprise despite there being no need for a vampire to breathe.

Kasyr abruptly blinks, his arms flinging out to catch his wife. Unforunately, this sets the Kensai up for catching a flailing arm-to-the-face- but overall, Satoshi is safely nestled in his arms. Once there's no longer a threat of his wife tumbling over the edge, the Revenant simply directs his attention towards Kirien, the now-broken-cigarette at his lips dribbling ashes over the side of the bridge.

Kirien 's ears twitch a bit at that musical chime. "Allo, you," is his soft, affectionate greeting to Trebel while Satoshi goes stumbling and flailing into Kasyr and thankfully not over the edge of the bridge, the empath lifting a hand to scratch absently behind the angha's ears. He's shifting the majority of his attentions back in the direction of Satoshi and Kasyr quickly enough, though, and stares pointedly at the latter for a second or two before he blinks. "I really have no idea." Skimming along the icy underside of the bridge, he seems to be contemplating trying to reverse his current position but for the time being remains where he is, as awkward as that might make the conversation. "I was walking and then...I guess at some point I headed in the wrong direction?" There's a certain degree of nonchalance in his tone, there, and he looks rather calm despite the massive drop into the mists below him.

Satoshi listens to Kirien even though her gaze is on Kasyr while she presses her hand to where she'd smacked him seconds ago, as much offering a silent apology as trying to soothe the spot with her icy touch--and furtively coax away some of that snow plastered to the kensai. She makes no move to remove herself from the revenant's arms however, taking a certain comfort in the proximity as well as finding she can serve as a buffer of sorts between him and Kirien, just in case. It's at the sound of the angha's ringing purr that Satoshi looks back toward her covenmate and manages the ghost of a smile, although the expression doesn't reach her eyes. "A lot's changed since you left." A double-edged comment, the kit remarking on Kirien's own changes along with the ones closer to home.

Kasyr quietly settles his chin onto Satoshis shoulder, the cigarette he'd salvaged until this point now spat into the void. With that done, the Kensai simply proceeds to quietly stare at Kirien, "It's good to see you're..intact." Whilst the tone carries a frigidity that seems altogether at home in frostmaw, there is a certain sincerity to the words. Beyond that, however, the Kensai is quite silent.

Kirien tilts his head back and in doing so shifts his gaze from his covenmates, staring sightlessly into the swirling fog below. Snowflakes stream unseen all around him and he can't help but wonder if they have voices, if Satoshi can hear them whisper as he hears the world sing. If only he could understand the language of the snow and ice that make up this frozen part of the world, he might be able to figure out what happened. "Seems so," he answers his sister mostly without thinking, sounding somewhat distracted before Kasyr's remark jerks him out of his day-dreaming and Kirien slips. One boot leaves the bridge but he's quick to react before falling, twisting his body and thus the entire section of bridge he stands upon, as though it is merely a block connecting to the others that make up this crossing over a misty abyss - the movement leaves him somewhat disorientated for a second, but he's now standing on the same level as Kasyr and Satoshi, which is maybe less awkward. Kirien isn't sure. "Intact, oui, of course. Durability and all that." He bends to gather Trebel up in his arms, trying to find his words. "I know--mostly-- what my changes are but...here, I'm not so sure. I haven't found it yet."

Satoshi can't help an unpleasant jerk in response to the word 'intact', the kit obviously not finding the word choice to her liking. Either or, the hints of the kit's growing dismal mood are vaguely masked by notes of curiosity upon watching Kirien right himself. Clearly, the terramancer has been practicing a great deal. It, along with the angha hatchling finding a cozy place in the Red's arms, is enough to draw another slight smile from Satoshi before she replies, "You pulled a dragon's tail, and it chose to bite us for the offense." While normally the half-veiled words would be delivered in a joking, sing-song manner to display her love of riddles, the magus' voice is presently devoid of that, giving the remark a more cryptic turn.

Kasyr offers Satoshi a very slight squeeze, some faint attempt at reassurance, before his attention drifts off towards the distance, the Revenant fixedly peering at the path towards the city. Bit by bit, his relative lack of movement is allowing the snow that had been shed in his brusque movements to regain its hold upon him- minus where the vulpine magus had been brushing it aside. All in all, the Revenants being surprisingly quiet- though, given the curiously black mood which rests festering beneath the surface, perhaps its' not such a bad thing.

Kirien , perceptive, takes note of that odd response and maybe narrows his gaze a bit, still seeking hints and answers through actions and still trying to summon the right words. Somehow, despite Kasyr's prolonged silence, which might normally throw him into a state of unease, the terramancer remains curiously calm, or at least well-controlled, and continues to idly scratch behind Trebel's ears. He scrunches his nose up a bit when Satoshi speaks, and actually looks more unnerved by the lack of joviality accompanying that little riddle than anything else. "A dragon's tail..." There's a sigh as he attempts to work out what exactly the meaning behind that remark might be, before coming to the abrupt realisation that the truth is perhaps closer than he thinks it to be. Then, his eye widens a little. "...Chasz." Another blink and he takes a step closer to the two, "Chasz, she's-- the egg, it hatched. The grey...what did she..." He trails off, leaving the question unfinished.

Satoshi's ears press back tight against her head then, Kirien's words--specifically 'the grey'--hitting a nerve although she doubts the fox intended such. After all, it's her own fault for not being clear in the first place and allowing the sharp-witted terramancer to unravel the hints himself. Unpleasant as it is, doubly so to a kit that's grieved for only one other soul in her life--and that one being a soul partially her own, Satoshi looks pleadingly toward Kasyr as claws entwine themselves in his scarf. "Can we show him..? There's... too much to explain, and I don't think words -can-." It's obvious Satoshi is hoping Kasyr and herself can pass the memories and their collective emotions on to Kirien in a similar manner to how she'd obtained some of the kensai's own years ago, save that this time would be intentional. And hopefully without unpredictable side-effects.

Kasyr gives Kirien a particularily fixed look, "The egg..hatched? Really." There's a particularily predatorial aspect to the look he's offering Kirien, as though weighing certain unseen factors against each other. It's only Satoshis clutching and words that serve to snap the kensai back to reality- the Revenants ears simply folding back, "I.. well... If you believe that es for the best, Cherie."

Kirien chews pointedly at his lower lip, which is possibly the only real giveaway that he is not as relaxed as he outwardly seems. "It did," he tells Kasyr after a moment, blind to that stare of the revenant's but not quite oblivious enough to have not noticed it via other means, "My...partner es looking after her, at the moment." Were this any other situation, he might have been struggling to contain a laugh, but here his expression simply remains relatively unreadable. The concern is still clear in his eyes as he looks to Satoshi, however - and with his lacking knowledge, he seems to misinterpret her words, blinking before saying, "Where? Where are the echoes? I want to go and hear them." There are none on this bridge, save the whispers of snowflakes that Kirien cannot understand.

Satoshi said, "Echoes...?" She looks to Kasyr as if he might have the answer, at a loss otherwise. If she's caught any glimpses on what the kensai is privately mulling over, the kit isn't showing it in any way, herself retreating behind a glacial barrier against the pair of Empaths. Vaguely, Satoshi points off toward the north, for while she doesn't know what Kirien means by echoes, she can at least guess that he wants to know where it happened. "The cavern. Above it. ...I suppose we should go there..."

Kasyr offers Satoshi a mildly puzzled look, before simply shaking his head- snow tumbling off his shoulders as he offers a shrug to the comment of 'echoes'. That being said, whatever degree of befuddlement the Revenant was displaying, is fairly quick to fade upon the mention of the cavern- a stoic expression once more creeping across his face. "If that's his wish." With a certain degree of care, the Kensai slips from his perch upon the bridge railing- before he extends an arm over towards Satoshi, so that she might be helped to her feet.

Kirien 's empathy is perhaps a strange sort, having given the terramancer the curious ability to pick up on memories as well as emotions, should the feelings tangled along with them be particularly strong. It's these echoes of memory that he looks set on seeing, wherever and whatever they might be, in order to discover the reason behind his covenmates' recently blackened moods. "Echoes," he repeats to Satoshi with a nod and the faintest hint of a reassuring smile, "I'll be able to find out what happened with the echoes. Judging by your emotions, it'll be strong enough to see." Making little sense to anyone but himself, perhaps, Kirien pivots smoothly about as though to head off to the cavern, though he pauses so as to walk with both magus and revenant.

Satoshi is on her feet, with the aid of her knightly husband, and looping her good arm with his before heading after the terramancer, although with a considerable note of reluctance in her steps. A hint of curiosity does coax her ears up from their folded state however, the kit not recalling this knack of Kirien's existing before he left and finding, despite herself, intrigued. "Echoes. Hm. I wonder..." if it's anything like her being able to sense corruption having passed over pure snow, she leaves unsaid.

Open Area

Kasyr s' expression is somewhat sour as he shuffles along with Satoshi, but if he has any complaints, they're not vocalized. Really, the trenchcoated Kensai is more focused on the road ahead, at this point- the only deviation from this focused meandering being the occasional glance stolen towards Satoshi.

Kirien 's insatiable curiosity prompts him into walking a short ways ahead of the two at times, skimming his way across the ice and leaping over boulders in a manner that almost resembles his usual playful nature, though the stoic look on his face hints otherwise. His movements are not part of some childish game crafted in his head, this time around, but likely more unconscious habit than anything. He pauses here and there, and eventually decides to allow Satoshi to take the lead, traipsing along in her footsteps.

Satoshi is left glancing curiously at Kirien and worriedly at Kasyr, even as her own sense of unease deepens with each step that brings them closer to the looming cavern ahead. At one point, the place had been a sanctuary for Satoshi, a training ground, a history lesson, and a solace born of family. Ishataulak had seen fit to ruin that in one fell swoop. Despite attempts at maintaining a blank mask, the foxkin can't entirely ward away the haunted light in her eyes or chase off the worn lines of a week's misery etching her features by then, and each of those steps just deepens the effect further until she resorts to burying her face against the kensai's sleeve in a futile attempt at escape. It's time like this Satoshi wishes she'd stayed an aloof, self-centered cat, not caring a lick for the life and death of others.

Icey Path

Kasyr s' black mood only grows more profound as they draw ever closer to the cavern. That being said, whilst Satoshi finds herself consumed by sorrow- it's a black rage that's building within the Revenant- a singular purpose and intent which is gaining focus the closer they get to the area, and the longer Kirien remains within their presence. Thoughts were churning within the Revenants mind, and none of them were pleasent.

Kirien begins to feel it the closer they get to the cavern that has, until now, been a source of pleasant memories - the chill in the air seems more bitter, here, and Satoshi's intensifying emotions are finally starting to chip away at his composure. He inhales sharply, briefly halting at the very mouth of the cave so as to stare sightlessly into its depths, perhaps trying to judge just what he might find in such a place that he can only remember as a warm, welcoming home. This isn't right. He does not voice those words, though, because he knows Satoshi and Kasyr already know it far too well. With the hint of a growl he stalks forward, headed deeper into the cavern - but not before he casts a short to the revenant, not at all comfortable with the rapidly growing sensations emanating from him.

Satoshi is being made equally uncomfortable by the murderous rage projected by her husband, a tightening of her hold on him coming with an anxious, almost frightened, look. Of all the things she dislikes about this event, it's this, the dark change in her calico knight, that has Satoshi the most unsettled. The new sensations of grief, loss, and helplessness she'll adapt to like all other aspects she's learned to live with, but losing the revenant is something she knows she won't be able to withstand. "Kasyr..." Not heeding Kirien plunging ahead, Satoshi slows to a near stop, trying to halt the kensai to and force him to look at her.

Kasyr s' gaze lingers on Kirien for a few more moments, before Satoshi manages to successfully wrestle his attention away from the other fox. An achievement that also accompanies her secondary purpose, as he ceases to move so that he can properly address her. Briefly his eyes flick across her, if only to settle upon that concerned look she carries, "...Oui, Satoshi?" For the moment, at least while the Kensai is distracted- that morbidly murderous train of thought isn't being fed any more fuel.

Satoshi manages something of a forced smile before she leans forward to plant a kiss, lighter than a ghost's touch, on the revenant's lips. It might be a simple enough gesture to most, but the fact that it's borne by the kit's desire to brighten her husband's black mood, rather than her usual selfish pleasure-seeking, is what marks it as unusual. Withdrawing then, she shakes her head and murmurs, "Nothing." Satoshi takes Kasyr's hand then, lacing her fingers around his in such a way as to brush their rings together with a faint, musical clink, and tugs him forward, stubbornly determined to follow Kirien's entrance into the cavern where the echoes await once he's scaled the walls.

Faux Twilight Cavern

Kirien presses forward whether Satoshi and Kasyr are following or not, his focus now directed only ahead of him. Deeper into the cavern he treads, quiet, ears perked up and clearly listening though he hears nothing out of the ordinary, even as he comes to a pause on the black sands that border the subterranean lake and the icy mansion within it. In this place there is something new but Kirien only spares the fluorite graves a brief glance for the moment, and then a frown, his nose scrunching a little as the scent of holy fire fills his lungs. There might be graves but are no echoes here to truly explain them - from above, Kirien hears the whisper of a shriek, and his blind gaze immediately snaps up to the occulus. "...Borrowing your walls," he says softly, speaking to the fox spirit he's sure is lurking somewhere, before a leap for the fake stars is made and he uses the fluorite-peppered stone to ascend in much the same manner as he stuck to the underside of the bridge earlier.

Kasyr manages a slight smile in response to his wifes' gesture of affection, her hand offered a squeeze shortly after they intertwine. It's only then that he turns his attention forward, a long exhale offered to nothing in particular as he takes note of Kiriens 'relative' dissapearance. "On y va, then." Which is to say, the Revenant is rather intent upon finding whatever solace he can from the graves... and current company.

Kirien scrambles up out of the oculus and into snowfall, quite certain this is the spot Satoshi was talking about, judging by the feel of the place. He is alone, though, and cannot sense anything at first. Then, a child's laughter reaches his ears and Kirien turns, blinking wide-eyed at the young feline he sees race by. "Wha-- hey, what're you doing all the way up here?" he calls out to her as she plays games with a large dog who's as nameless to the empath as the girl herself, a smaller canine and young dragonling soon joining in the fun. Bemused, he moves to follow, but then Kirien realises that he can -see- that young girl and her playmates and he stops, suddenly aware. After a second, his shoulders visibly slump, his expression one of disbelief as the sickening horror of what happened here creeps up his spine in a cold shiver; and it's all made plain as day to the terramancer who no longer sees people in colour and full detail like this-- unless they are echoes. "You're..." A ghost, a memory; something trapped in this place. And each and every detail of the short-lived but gruesome fight assaults his mind as the vision of that massive grey dragon flares out of nowhere and permanently puts an end to Aurelia's playtime, and by the end of it he's trembling. He can only stand there, alone, surrounded by echoes and the whirl of arctic wind, and any words Kirien might have had are frozen solid in his throat.

Satoshi waits. It's all she can do while Kirien relives scenes she has no desire to know the details off. She and Kasyr faced the aftermath already, and the arduous task of laying the four to rest, the process more than enough for the foxkin to map together the squence of events without facing the ghostly remnants like Kirien. For a long time she waits, absently staring at the set of graves and the gifts left there by others despite them having never known the ones buried. Without thinking, Satoshi stoops to pick up the tiny music box Ranok had placed on Aurelia's grave and begins to wind it before she sets it down to begin playing its tune uninterrupted. There's a certain comfort she takes from the melody, a delicate mixture of notes woven together and well suited to appeal to a fun-loving child, a song Satoshi finds herself quietly humming as she takes her place beside Kasyr once more to wait for Kirien.

Kasyr simply wraps his arms around Satoshi and waits, staring in solemn silence at the quartet of graves. Gingerly, he settles his head alongside hers, before he simply loses himself to the tranquil serenity that's contained within the sweet, sadness of the moment. It's only after a few moments that the Revenant breathes out a faint "I'm sorry" to noone in particular, his hold upon Satoshi tightening somewhat- as though he were suddenly in dire need of contact with her.

Kirien has never met any of the four that died here. That lack of any real bond to tie them together does not stop him from sinking to his knees in the snow, watery-eyed and shaking as the remnants of the memory fade back into the wind. It doesn't make the pangs of guilt beginning to shred at his heart any less agonising as he realises that, technically, this blood work is all of his doing. The grief and rage he's been sensing from Kasyr and Satoshi, too, was caused through this and for a short time Kirien remains where he is in the snow, wordless. Over the howl of the wind, though, he begins to hear music drifting out of the gaping maw of the oculus; a soft, delicate sound that has his ears twitching and his head lifting, and eventually he finds his feet and turns to make his way back to the cavern and his covenmates. Once more the girl rushes by him as the echo replays the events over and Kirien grits his teeth, watching Aurelia playing in snow soon to be bloodstained all over again. He watches, and memorises her smile. He leaves before he has to witness the massacre a second time. When finally he's back on the lake edge and trudging solemnly over to Satoshi, he's ducked his head down and wiped his face dry, and he echoes Kasyr's words after a second, staring at the sand.

Satoshi silently presses against the kensai in response, trying her damnedest to pass along unspoken affection and reassurance to him through the simple contact before the scuff of boots on sand draws her eyes to Kirien's approach. The other fox's words draw a faint smile from Satoshi, and a quiet, "Bright Eyes..." Still in Kasyr's hold, Satoshi reaches out to lightly pat the terramancer between his vulpine ears in a duplicate attempt to offer some sort of solace through contact. Something she learned from Kirien, oddly enough.

Kasyr s' attention flicks back towards Kirien at this point, the revenant studying his fledgeling for a few long moments. For a few moments, that familiar roil of turbulent emotions begins to surface again- and yet, it's just as swiftly dispelled, Satoshis simple acceptance of the fox apparently enough. "Do me a favour, Kirien. Don't go dissapearing, until after we've resolved this. You have a responsibility here that's been left unattended for far too long." That said, the Revenant leans a bit more heavily upon Satoshi, "D'accord?"

Kirien shuffles in place a bit and digs his heels into black sand, looking more than a little upset and dejected. Were it anyone else, he might have jerked away from that extended hand, but Satoshi is someone he trusts fully and the contact is maybe needed - the empath knows well the comforts to be found through such simple gestures. He tries to return some of that offered reassurance, catching her fingers with his own and squeezing gently, while shifting his gaze to briefly meet Kasyr's eyes. "A responsibility.." he repeats, voice low, frowning despite himself. "I won't disappear," is added after a second's pause, while Kirien shuffles again.

Satoshi disentangles her hand from Kirien's after returning the light squeeze, if only so she can lace it once more with her husband's as a feral smile begins to flicker across her features. "Soon. It will be resolved soon." And once that dragon was taken care of, more would fall, if the kit has any say in the matter.

Kasyr head tilts off to the side, a bleak and determined look creeping across his features, "Et perhaps, we'll be able to resolve some other dilemmas whilst we're at it."For a brief moment, his lips purse together, before he glances over towards Kirien, "We're counting on you, you know." That said, the Revenant simply begins to turn away- seemingly at a loss to say anything else.

Kirien 's hands go to his pockets instead. While Satoshi's distinct shift in expression has him halfheartedly quirking a brow, mostly his attentions are stolen by Kasyr, whose words appear to confuse the terramancer a bit. "Other dilemmas?" he asks quickly, unable to stop himself, his tail curling round his leg as a curious glint enters his gaze. "And...counting on me for what, exactly?" It's easier to accomplish things when he understands what exactly the revenant refers to, after all.

Satoshi lets Kirien do the questioning, she's simply content to remain in the revenant's hold while being relieved he's actually talking again. Mostly though, her player is being lazy at the typing thing.

Kasyr rolls his eyes, just a bit, before one hand is gestured in his direction, "To be here~ To help us with what needs to be done. Be it to quell the civil war in Vailkrin, to help stop this whole...dragon 'uprising' which es no doubt an excuse to commit random atrocities, or..most pressingly, to help us put an end to the Grey. Whatever it es- we need you to be -here-. Et in the latter most case, bringing that hatchling might not hurt- if we want her to come sooner than later. I'm not apt to abide waiting."

Kirien blinks. "There's civil war in Vailkrin? And dragons?" Apparently he has not been very well-informed recently regarding the grand scope of things, due to his indulging in his own adventures far beneath the surface. His lack of knowledge leads to him looking more and more bemused, until finally he shakes his head free of all the questions and opts for pestering about those particular events at a later point. Mention of his hatchling does have him perking up, though, and then suddenly worrying all over again. "Ah, Chasz is here, in Frostmaw, actually. My partner es looking after her-- she better not have found them."

Satoshi instinctively bristles then, going from a placid, marginally content kit to a bundle of frosted anger and unease. "The hatchling is -here-? In Frostmaw?" She can almost hear Ishataulak's murderous roar all over again with this information.

Kasyr stops what he was doing, before he abruptly turns to look at Kirien. "I suppose we ought to go find it, then. It's only a matter of time before that dragon tears straight towards it, non? Et through whatever might be in the way, peut-etre. She actually has something to protect again.." Because that damnable beast was fierce enough when it was simply lashing out. Whatever the case, the Kensai doesn't look all that interested in waiting around, foot now tapping out a frantic beat, "Unless you have any suggestions, Satoshi?"

Kirien quickly has his hands out of his pockets again, if only so as to hold them up in an attempt to calm Satoshi down. "Here, oui! But, er, not in the city. He doesn't like the city so we stay outside of it. I make shelters! They're hard to find so she...shouldn't have sensed her, unless Ku-- he let her loose outside. Which I told him not to do." He might have winced at that almost-slip-up, but recovers swiftly, continuing with, "In regards to suggestions, I could always just-- try and lure her out myself? Shout about nickin' her egg et all, or maybe challenge her to a terramancy fight. Her elemental affinities are similar to mine, after all."

Satoshi doesn't look remotely placated by the terramancer's reassurances. If anything, she looks even more anxious than before, if only because the hatchling being outside the city meant there were even less obstacles to stop a determined mother dragon from burrowing up directly beneath Kirien's hideaway. After a moment of glowering at no one in particular and chewing her lip in nervous thought, the magus speaks up, "If we're luring her out, it's on our terms. The arena, most likely. Snow and stone aplenty, and assistance is a mere call away." There's no doubt she'd be able to call on Redovian and Ignatius to lend a blade, as well as Ranok, if the man stayed true to his innate ability to be where danger was most prominent.

Kasyr just gives Kirien a look as frigid as the deepest depths of Frostmaw, "She found Aurelia, in the city. Get your partner et your hatchling into the city. Camp in the goddamn Arena, if its necessary. Being in the wilderness when she's stalking out there, somewhere.. es suicide." The revenant pauses for a moment, before his voices cuts through the cavern like a knife, "Get them, now. That's an order. I don't care where they are- as long as they're here, et safe." Hell if the Grey is going to win.

Kirien has stared untamed, murderous rage in the face so many times now that he's lost count, but the look Kasyr gives him is not one he's entirely used to dealing with. That prompts the empath into shuffling awkwardly again, almost wishing he'd never mentioned the damned hatchling at all. "I...can't." He casts his gaze off to the side, staring out across the sands. "It'd probably just cause more problems and right now that's not something any of us need to be dealing with so please just trust me when I say they'll be fine-- especially if we're luring her up to the arena." A mildly pleading look is shot in Satoshi's direction following those words, because Kirien is desperately trying to keep a secret that should, for the time being, remain a secret. He's not sure it'll be of any help though.

Satoshi stares out across the lake, listening but not looking at either of the vampires throughout. For a considerable time she doesn't reply until, quietly, "At least bring them into the city borders..? Out in the forest, you're too far away, we'd never reach you in time. Bright Eye," tearing her gaze from the black waters, Satoshi stares steadily at Kirien, determined to hold his single eye, "you've seen what she can do when she's simply -angry-. What she's done to each of us when we've crossed her path. She'll be a thousand times deadlier if she knows her hatchling lives, and I have no doubt she'll discover that secret soon. Honestly, I don't care what happens to the hatchling or your partner, but I'll be damned if I'll let anything happen to you. Not when I can do something about it. I won't lose more family to that monster. I refuse."

Satoshi is stubborn and selfish. Leave my family alone!

Kasyr nods faintly, his hands folding behind his back as he observes Kirien, "Well. I do believe that resolves this matter." It's at this point the Revenants tone shifts, that authoratative quality marking him as Kiriens sire slipping into his tone, "Which es to say, If you are adamant about not bringing your partner here- I can respect that. You can leave him out in the wilderness, by himself. But that hatchling, et you, are both required to be within the boundaries of the city. If anything, he'll likely be safer if he's not within your vicinity, at least until the Greys dead. He'll have a reduced chance to be savaged in his sleep, anyways." Or when awake. Whatever.

Kirien 's expression shifts to something clearly torn, as though he can't make up his mind about whether to argue with Satoshi or not. Her honest concern for his safety does touch him and that probably shows in his gaze as he finds hers and holds it, despite his being blind. "...If you feel that way, then you should understand I feel similar about them," he says after a short pause, bristling a bit when Kasyr's tone of voice noticeably shifts to something he finds far more difficult to fight against. "I'll try and get them within the city boundaries. If not him, then certainly Chasz - he might be safer away from me until this is settled, you're right." He hasn't broken eye contact with Satoshi yet.

Kirien looks upset that he might have to stay even -further- away from Kuzial now, really. As if pretending not to know each other when they run into each other in the arena is not already bad enough.

Satoshi nods to Kirien, and when she speaks, her voice is considerably softer than Kasyr's, not hint of a commanding tone present--as she both lacks the authority, and has a knack for playing to the lighter side of the revenant's dark. "Go to them then, Bright Eye. And bring them here. We want you safe, and you want them safe, leaving them in the forest denies us all that."

Kasyr stuffs one of his hands into his pockets, his other one extended towards Kirien in a motion akin to a wave, "Well, if this is all understood, I leave you to it. So, take care."

Kirien might understand all the words but, due to his blindness, seems to misinterpret Kasyr's little wave; he grabs the revenant's extended hand almost as if he's going for a handshake, before simply letting go again, blinking once, and twitching his ears. He looks between the kensai and Satoshi, his tail swishing some behind him. "Safe. Right. Oui." Somehow he manages a relatively bright smile, then turns on his heel and starts off across the sand, his slow walk building into a run that takes him straight toward a wall that he leaps straight through as though it's nothing, vanishing to who knows where. Kirien enjoys some rather unconventional forms of travel.

Satoshi salutes Kirien while he departs, the gesture ending up frozen mid-wave when he disappears... "...through a wall..? -That's- new." Blinking, the kit merely sighs, lets her hand drop, and nestles against the kensai. "The more of us there are, the more interesting it gets. ...And complicated."

Satoshi suddenly realizes they've misplaced Trebel at some point! ...oh well, he's clever. He'll turn up.

Kirien ...didn't drop him! >_> maybe he fell off Kiri when he was scaling walls and flew around the cave or something.

Kasyr purses his lips, "Speaking of 'us', Markos' has yet to turn up... et Ilydia es still. Er. A work in progress. I can only imagine matters will get even more tiresome then." Shaking his head, the Kensai simply turns towards their home, "I...think I need some sleep, enfin."

Kasyr isn't worn out from contemplating that chaos. Not at all.

Satoshi wordlessly follows Kasyr, her expression clearly echoing his own words and thoughts. Sleep is one blessing this kit could really use.
