Roleplay

Emilia sat next to the waist high circling of stones with a book in her lap and a scroll on the ground next to her, held open with a few small rocks. Glancing back and forth from the pages of parchment to the scroll with strange symbol writing. The white haired woman was in need of a brushing to those wild curls and sleep based on the dark blue circles under her eyes.

Wally was on the path to south. He had been making his way from swiping food from ms mallards, he loved donuts he could never get enough, and he could never seem to watch his step, as he upset shoppers and people, as tall as most of the building his dorsal fin rose above the town like a shark fin on sea. "Excuse, me, very sorry, whoops don't eat it that... oh never mind." he said admist multiple complaints, he finally turned the corner only to trip over a carrigae and land face first on the roadway pavement right in front of the fountain. "Ow"

Sabrina was coming back in from business at nearest Healer’s, bringing back a rather large bag of supplies to take up north. Something about Emi had a tendency to draw her off course, that and their peculiar knack for getting lost in regions not familiar to them. She saw the tufts of untamed white and with a smile drawing across her otherwise stern features she makes her way toward the Gensai; Emilia, arguably her most favorite person in all of Hollow. She settles down in a heap right next to her, careful not to disturb her scrolls. “What are we learning about today, stranger?” There was no scolding over her wandering, the Elfess was just happy to see her out and about. She is visibly startled when the flop of black and white slam at the fountain near their seats. It took a moment of realization to do the internal ‘am I injured’ check before she recognized his general shape. Near white minted gems settle on his massive form. “Are you alright?”

Emilia had a small smudge of ink on her left cheek as Sabrina spoke, startling her back into the world at large again. No sooner than the woman she claimed as her unofficial family spoke and a thud of great sound happened. Jerking her head up the Genasi smeared the smudge more so. Blinking for a long time the Genasi stared on in silence before finally speaking, "I stole this from Gevurah...it has something to do with those portals causing chaos. I cannot read it...ancient tongue I think..." squinting at the giant Wally, "Hey...I know you...you okay?"

Wally groaned pushing himself up like a sit up his snout humoursly pushed into his, and placing his thumb in his mouth he blew hard, forcing it to resume its shape. "I am now, woah," he looked between to the femine figures, "I knows you both, your names I never caught did I..."

Sabrina didn’t like the sound of Emilia’s response, and had a giant Wally not entered the area she’d have swiped that piece and thrown it into the fountain. Drow were never good for anything, and meddling would only get her Emilia taken once more. Her distraction is drawn away from the ancient dialect, one she should arguably be able to decipher with enough time given her studies in applied linguistics- ancient or otherwise. But she would never, not for anyone. Especially not for Emi. That stuff was dangerous. “Sabrina Galadriel Linnéa Skaði” She said it with a smirk, fully understanding the rattling of her whole name was probably confusing. The added flair of Elvish pronunciation likely did not make it easier. No doubt Emi, as usual, would make up for her rudeness with the standard sweet response and hidden apology for her friend’s behavior. It was a wonder those two tolerated each other at all, or that there was anyone who walked the lands that Sabrina would actually die for. Ya know, if dying were a thing she could accomplish despite sheer determination.

Emilia flashed a bright blue smile after Sabrina introduced herself in full accent and all, she loved listening to her talk all fancy. Still smiling she tilted her head over, resting her clean cheek on her shoulder, white curls falling to mix against the black of Sabrina's. Ever opposites the pairing, like Yin and Yang, yet always in a flowing balance with each other. There was a giggle that left the lips of the Genasi, "Emilia Rose, Leader of the Adventurer's Guild, pleasure to meet you..." Wrapping an arm about the waist of her favorite lady the woman, "Don't mind this one she is the Leader of the Healer's Guild, all serious life saving nature."

Wally smiled a toothy grin, "Ah such beautiful names uh, names Wally," he finally sitting on his legs. Spying the note about Emila he inquires. "More ancient writing?" "And a do you prefer Sabrina Galadriel Linnéa Skaði, or Sabrina?"

Sabrina settled smartly in Emilia’s embrace, grinning forcefully since this was not a normal look for her. That grin faltered quickly with the correct return on her name and she refused a reply. She runs her fingers idly through Emi’s hair, detangling on a massive level since the white curls were never kept in check without supervision. Emilia had been around the Ardent long enough, it was obvious that her touch could be less lethal than previous encounters with Wally would imply. Something about the paleness in her eyes meant something, if one were observational enough to put it together.

Emilia tilted her head slightly so that she could glance at Sabrina with a smile before pecking her cheek with those frosted blue lips, a faint chill to them. Still plagued without powers the Genasi was a warm bony monster. Turning her gaze slowly back to the other Em flashed a wicked grin, "Yes, more ancient stuff. I am always getting in trouble somehow, might as well take my time getting there this time."

Wally chuckled at that, "I can't seem to walk three steps without causing some trouble, so your not alone." he looked again between the two and hoped his eyes didn't reveal what he was thinking between them.

Sabrina sits up straight, having sufficiently tangled her own fingers in Emilia’s unruly locks. “You could both take lessons on precaution and grace.” It wasn’t her fault, she was simply raised well and her body simply didn’t move outside the accordance of her own race and her sense for danger was quite keen, despite being buried alive only weeks ago. Clearly that was the fault of another entirely.

Emilia now has a Sabrina hand trapped in her wild curls. Emi, if she was not so darn cold, could pass for a wild jungle child, but the white would stick out like a sore thumb. Chuckling the Genasi turned toward Sabrina with a terrible grin, "If your stuck to me, do I get to keep you forever and always?" The words came with a cute smile and fluttering lashes. Toward Wally, "Ah, never alone here. I seem to have watchers keeping tabs on my location these days.."

Wally shook his head, "And where would I find a teacher willing to be teach me the art of grace?" he asked Sabrina, then to Emilia, "Well I can't blame them, your not easy to miss." he smiled to try to not make it sound off.

Sabrina gives Emi a sort of scowl that she didn’t mean. “I’m not stuck.” Wriggling her fingers through the knot that now formed her pressed lips appeared more serious. It was never this bad before. She turns her palm up and uses the other hand to gently pull away the infringing pieces, eventually regaining her appendage in the process. She needed a comb, probably a bath. The smudge is wiped roughly from her face all motherly and without filter. She raises a thin dark brow to Wally, not so much at the query of etiquette but the observational statement of Emilia’s appearance. That was somewhat brash.

Emilia waited to see how much time passed before Sabrina could free her hand again, "I suppose sleeping outside the last week in contrast travels to the libraries has not done much good for these curls." Em stated the obvious. Then she turned toward Wally, her face all clean now, "Are you saying I look terrible?"

Wally trying to save himself, "On the contrary, you look very natural, and beauty is best seen in its natural state. Not that I have anything against formal occasion but, *chuckles nervously* something has to be said for naturalness." he raises the fleshy part of his brow at Sabrina, "Unless of course you know somone?"

Sabrina sat in still silence at both of them, a little put off that no one had addressed the real situation going on here. So, being the honest woman she is, she comes out and says it. "You realize you are a Dolphin with feet, yes?" There was no argument to Emi's beauty, as far as Sabrina was concerned she was by far one of the prettiest females around, except for the hair. Gods she wished she did something about those tresses.

Emilia nudged Sabrina in the side with a gentle motion before whispering, "I think he is a whale with feet...wrong coloring for a dolphin..." After the hushed words Em finally closed her book and packed it along with her scroll into her bag and wiggled under the strap, "I should be getting off the streets before dark settle in too well. Drow are sneaky that way."

Wally pushed his form down toward Sabrina, "Do i look like a dolphin to you?" His snout just a foot from her face in a sarcastic tone. Turning to Emilia he smiled saying, "Thank you for recognizing me as a whale, and please stay safe."

Sabrina ‘pfft’s’ and waves her hand. Sea life was obviously not her expertise. “Dolphin, Whale… I would have to cut him open to find out the truth of it.” Before she became a healer she spent a great many hours doing just that. It gave good reason as to how she was so very good at her job, having learned the inner workings of most things she now helped. For science. She stands, helping the tinier female to her feet. She wasn’t lying. Drow had their ways of being the absolute worst of everything. Wally pushes his snout in her face and she frowns, letting Emilia wander off once more in hopes she remained safe this time. “You have legs, you don’t even look like a whale.”

Emilia before departing would give the other woman one big squeeze, not much strength to the little woman, but non the less the gesture was there. Before turning to walk away she would wag her finger at Wally, "Not polite to go sticking your nose into people's bubbles. Some people bite and other just punch. Be careful yourself." Smiling at Sabrina, "Love you, be safe and I will see you back home before long." The the Genasi was skipping off.

Wally shrugged his shoulders, " I was a whale, blame Selene for the makeover, personally its a gift, to enjoy what i lost in my previous life." He said then pulling away. "I would appreciate any help in learning to be more graceful, maybe i could help you in a similar way."

Sabrina looks way up at Wally and says "Fine, then learn to be still!" All of that counter balance had to find its center if he intended on throwing it around like he did.

Wally shook his head, moves up to close to her again. "I'll do that, if you take me along."

Sabrina didn't like people that close, seaborn or otherwise. She was silent for a moment, deliberating. "Then you learn like everybody learn." She was literally considering teaching him to hold himself with elvish propriety.

Wally stood up and lets his tail balance himself out and stands straight, "Hows this?"

Sabrina motions for him to lift his tail up. "In Venturil the Rex hover their tails, they are for counterbalance, not a crutch."

Wally lifted his tail out casting a shadow, "Like this or... Woah!" falls on his rump shaking the area a bit.

Sabrina is standing there looking at him with arms crossed over her chest. "Obviously not. Up, up. Try again."

Wally rose again, placing his left foot forward a bit and out and his right the same, but back, and lifts his tail a bit, and lowers his posture slightly at an angle. "Balance but not straight."

Sabrina nods. He earns a real smile. "They call it baby steps. Balance first, posture later." She gives a little kick to his feet so he should spread them further apart.

Wally nodded, "Okay so like step one and I.... woah!" He falls down forward on her.

Sabrina put her hands up to… what shield herself from the obviously several ton fish that was about to make her suffocate in a cushion of blubbery squish? There was little room for movement but the initial shock is transferred to him tenfold. There was a reason she didn’t touch people unless fully intent on doing so, catching an Ardent off-guard was a lot like leaving your mental health in the hands of a war criminal. There was fear residing there, and it wasn’t that the stone-cold bitch didn’t feel, arguably it was that she felt more purely than most others. Concentrated fear would sink into his whole being, even if only a flash those couple of seconds would feel like hours. He would feel her, in all that struggle to unbury herself still manage to attempt some level of calm for his sake more than hers. But she had been buried recently and that deep sensation of suffocation was not only brought to the frontlines of his conciseness but may have stolen his very ability to breathe himself. “Get off of me!”

Wally felt unnerved, not that the thought hadn't crossed his mind, and so he quickly rolled off of her, he gasped for breath, "Very... sor...ry lost my bal...ance there." He looked at her hoping she'd get up, hopefully his blubbery mass hadn't squashed her rather just indented around her when he fell. He couldn't shake that slight hint of fear coursing through him, but he wondered having seen her power before if it had been meant to be more powerful, he just thanked Selene again for the blubber protecting his nerves.

Sabrina just lay there all disheveled and speechless. It was not very often she was caught at a loss, particularly of insults. Instead, she tries to center. Her eyes had since gone dark, nearing pitch, but that came with panic. “The last time I felt like this I was left contemplating how many times I would die before someone realized I was gone.” Ranok saved her that day, but today she was just happy to look upon the stars. She began to laugh. She could not blame his clumsiness on anything. It wasn’t intentional. She sits up. “Are you alright?” Even through her moment of panic her worst fear was ever present in the whole ordeal. The fear that she would hurt someone again and not be able to take it back.

Wally coughed his airways clearing, "Just a slight short of breath, its nothing," he shook slightly uncontrollably hints of fear and adrenaline rushing through his body, "the question is are you, i mean i fell on you the last time i fell on somone they..." he didn't bother finishing. It was one of his regrets.

Sabrina sighs. "It is nothing to worry yourself about." She motions for him to get up. "Brush it off, get up and try again. Feet shoulder width apart, tail just a few inches above the ground."

Wally rose to stand his breathing becoming easier, but as he is about to stand a civilian yells at them, "Hey! why don't you teach him somewhere else!"

Sabrina looks around all that is Wally and to the civilian. "Piss off." He looks like he is about to say something but some form of recognition washes over him. He tips a hat he isn't wearing and goes about his business. "We should head" a shudder "To the shores."

Wally nodded "Probably safer, at least for the peeps."

Sabrina enters the cove first, surely her little steps forced him to walk staggered. “So first you stand still. Then you stand up.” She motions with her hands as if holding a deep breath of air.

Wally stopped moving and then stretched out his tail to allow it to pull himself up, "Like this?"

Sabrina nods. "Close enough." She bends down, picks up a rock, and throws it at him. Surely it was more like being pegged with a pebble, but the point of the exercise was there, and with it she moves far enough away to easily avoid being fallen on again.

Wally this time he withstood the pebble. but in his triumph he loses balance again. Falling on his side. knocking his jaw against a rock. "I think i chipped a tooth.

Sabrina sighs. This was going to take awhile. She motions for him to get up again. She moves up to his side and kneels beside his face. "Lets have a look then, yes?" She'd wait for him to open his mouth before bravely putting her hand in his mouth to address the situation.

Wally opened his cavernous mouth the flesh on the inside a dark blue in color, along with a cyan tongue, he had about 86 teeth in all and the one in the back near the fleshy throat was the one that was chipped. "Seoough it?' he tried to say mouth open.

Sabrina doesn't think twice about reaching in and reviewing the chip. She smelled distinctly like sea salt and vanilla, and in leaning forward a slither of hair runs along the inside of his mouth.

Wally really wanted to swallow that taste god that taste, but this was somone that was putting trust in him. Nonetheless saliva soon began to pool more and mentally told himself not to swallow.

Sabrina pulls herself back quickly, slinging a strand of spit from her tresses with an appalling look riddling her features. She stands and shakes her head. "Really?"

Wally closes his mouth to talk, "Sorry couldn't help it, I love vanilla."

Sabrina looks disgusted. "Vanilla?" She is shaking her head in confusion. "We can pick this up tomorrow, yes?" She was, as always, short on patience.

Wally nodded. Putting a hand to his jaw. "I am sorry," he swallowed. Opening his mouth again, "It won't happen again."

Sabrina shakes her head. "It's fine. Just, lets continue this once we're better rested." Rested, as if she slept.

Wally nodded, closing his mouth. "Do you have a place to sleep?"

Sabrina nods. "I have a house, several clinics, and a guild house. Trust me, I have plenty of places." She looks concerned. "Do you?"

Wally shook his head. "Aside from the dunes, I got nothing."

Sabrina sets a bag of coin on a rock near him. Not that she knew what good it would do him, buy a shack or something to shield him from the elements? Wordlessly she gives a small wave and heads homeward.

Wally watched her go, "Until next time then." he looked to his left and then to his right after taking the pouch of gold. and then with a tremendous leap back-flipped into the sea.
