RP:First meetings with the Razurath

Aetherclaw :: Cenril was a busy place, being the largest city in Lithrydale ever road and every intersection was busy with people shopping, chatting, eating, or walking about, amongst this particular one though in a high density section between three large six story buildings, was of course one of those more or less strange sights one would find. At a small Market stand behind a tent a yellow saurian like creature stands outside a tent market massage, while next to that same one sits another saurian of purple color who is wearing a toga, while writing at a desk with a sign reading, Lawyer for Hire. It was evening now, and without so much as a customer, both of the two were packing up their shops, and passing it to a tall brown Saurian who was carrying them upthe stairs of the building to place them no doubt they resided there. "Keluna, did anyone bother to make any purchases from you today." asked the purple razurath who when he stood up from his chair, revealed himself to be slightly overweight. "Sorry Plum, nobody." the Yellow Keluna said, Plum shook his head, "tomorrow then."

Sveltran paced leisurely into the intersection, surveying the grounds that he soon intended to call home. The leatherbound book he had found during his adventure to frostmaw tucked away in the interior pocket of his long leather duster. He wore a wide brimmed black fedora on his head, shading him slightly from th evening light. If one paid even closer attention they might notice that regardless of where he was standing, he always seemed to be slightly shadowed, as if standing behind a building even when in direct sunlight. Looking around at the market goe’rs, perhaps contemplating his next meal he spotted something he most certainly was not expecting. His move here was only intended to help him establish a base of operations, as well as a lab to research how to move an immovable object. His eyes fell upon the yellow saurian. Stepping carefully behind another tent, he pulled out the leatherbound journal and got its base synopsis for the yellow variety of their species. Nodding to himself he rounded the corner, and came to approach the stand. “Well hello there, are you the proprietors for this stand? Im seeking legal assistance in establishing a family home in these parts, and I could use assistance in negotiating for land, and the transference thereof.”

Aetherclaw :: The Purple looked towards the voice that spoken, but then there were so many, and yet, he locked onto the mentioned law and proprietors, "Yes, but we are closing for the day, at least in the street, however, I can continue business this one time, but it will have to be in our room. If that is permissable?" Plum asked the young hatted vampire. The yellow who would have answered had not she been interrupted nodded, slightly nodded, her hands different from the other Razurath, being rounded without any form of talon to say or speak. In fact her body appeared soft and rubbery, she unlike the plum colored razurath wore a common tshirt, and soft black slacks, bare footed as well. "If your interested in my services as well, i can help also in the apartment." She offered. Her large blue eyes offered with a voice a little timid but relaxed at the same time. The purple would look his way.

Sveltran smiled sheepishly and put a hand to his lips, wiping it across his mouth. “My apologies” he said to the yellow saurian, looking between this one and the purple one. “As you both can see the stresses of moving seem to have addled me some, and I could use some much needed order.” His words were directed more towards the yellow saurian when mentioning his stress, and towards the purple when he mentioned needing a bit more order. Looking back to the yellow saurian, once ive had the opportunity to work with the fine proprietor of your neighboring stand, would you mind if I bring my patronage over to you? Say perhaps in an hours time?”

Aetherclaw :: Plum looked at the man, when he mentioned the word order, as it was out of place but also it triggered something in his mind. "Yes, I can help you, please, follow me." Plum said and would lead him up the outside stairs and through a window as opposed to the door which was broken, the sixth floor was always the cheapest floor, and smallest, often rotten boards would creak or break. As he led him he said, "Please step where i step otherwise it will be a two story fall." He said carefully moving from one side of the hall to the next avoiding one particular hole in the floor which fell a considerable ways the smell of something dead creeping up from it in the blackness. Finally leading him to the door which unusually was metal, as opposed to the other doors in the building. The door number reading 603. "Catch your breath, the last person who saw this outside of us, was a little shaken." Opening the door into a white environment a where a pool of water resided and stretched to wall that was much farther than the building should have allowed, and then stretched into four seperate hallways extending only further into the immpossibility of the space, the area alit but by no seen lamp. The purple would motion to a rack where shoes would be placed and, then picked up a pair of fuzzy like socks which he pulled over his feet, and when he stepped up onto the floor, he made not a sound as he stepped. "My office is this way." He would say motioning to his left from entering through the door, walking soundlessly through room until he opened two white glistening doors and a table which was shaped like a block and seat without a back for the tails and such. A similar block would rise from the floor. "Please sit, lets talk about the journal."

Sveltran Nodded approvingly following carefully behind plum as they made their way up to his room. He delicately stepped his way onto the same points where the saurian feet had landed, the odor of the place not seeming to sway him one way or the other. If he was lucky, and he was feeling pretty lucky, he was finally about to get some concrete information. As the doors open his eyes grew wide with wonder. Peeking his head into the room and then back out twice, it was obvious that the spatial change was quite astounding to him. Not wanting to mention it and put the saurian off, he entered the room, following Plum to his office. As they neared, he heard plum mention the journal. Sveltrans practiced smile wavered, his lips twitching from polite grace to a slightly uneasy smile. Obviously his half ruse was not quite as clever as he might have thought. Following cautiously now, he pulled the journal from his pocket and offered a diplomatic nod and smile. “My many apologies, I do in fact intend to move here and will need assistance in such, however ive yet to meet anyone who is Razurath before, and wanted to make a good impression.” Reaching his hand across the table he offered the book to the purple saurian. He had already read through much of it, although he had not quite finished. If this person were to befriend him however, and old book would be less than half as valuable as a living member of the race.

Aetherclaw :: Plum smiled, and it might have been notices as the back ends of his mouth did pull back a bit, surprising perhaps for a saurian creature to pull off, not even something dragons could easily pull off. "Well, your apology is accepted, but no harm was done." He said, taking the journal in his four fingered talons. "Ah Ameno the poor chap, such a pity he had so many problems, otherwise he might have seen us all grow up, that three years ago when he was killed, or so i am told. I wasn't born yet." He looked up at him, his eyes more similar to a humans in that it had a white part, an iris and a pupil, his being violet. "I assume this is about the shenanigans of recent, regarding doors and runes, and people turning into white noise?"

Sveltran bobs his head slightly, his face sympathetic as he heard of the demise of the person who wrote the book. Having assumed the man dead hundred of years, he began to re-assess the timeline for which the book was written. "Yes, quite so. I am...a researcher of sorts. I am a bit of a scientist that often relies strongly upon....magical means for my studies. I have found the door quite fascinating in its anti magic properties and its seemingly impermeable nature. I was planning to settle down in cenril for a while and open a lab for experimentation. I beleive that if these technologies were to become available to the world, that it would be more than beneficial to society as a whole. You cant storm a castle if you cant get through the walls. I am looking to better the races of hollow through the prevention of war via the extensive use of greater technologies and craftsmanship." his gaze dropped a bit. Feeling he may have been getting too excited about this and laying his whole hand on the table he continued. " I will be acquiring land in southern cenril . Thats where you come in, and i am most grateful for your service. If that is the only service you can offer i will gladly accept, though if my luck has won the day, perhaps you could also help with my studies?

Aetherclaw ::Plum sighed, "aren't we all trying to better the world." His hands parting a bit before folding them over each other. "Scientist, vampire too if I am not mistaken, keep the eye contact though, your not wearing me down with your enthusiasm, Blues do that, not you." He pondered a second before rising, and cracking open a bottle of liquid that seemed to swirl by itself, a multidude of colors before he bonked it on the table, and the colors stopped swirling becoming still and layered. With the light blue liquid atop and black on the bottom. "How do you like your ale, wet or dry?" He would ask. Pouring the light blue color into a glass for the vampire or the light green which was beneath the color, taking whatever the other color for himself. "First of all I am not the one you should be asking for Scientific detail, I am an adminstrator, and lawyer, however we do have an assortment of forty so colors here, that could definitly assist you in each and every department of what your looking for research, though I cannot stress enough to put safety first when it comes to working with a blue, they are so negligent on that, but you could say that you lucked out, as I do know history regarding the Razurath and will enlighten you as best as I can." he said before taking a drink of the ale, which bit into the razurath's taste buds like a strong herb but with a sweetish taste. "Land in southern Cenril, hmmmm Lets see here, a former assassin bought a property there, and has since vanished, we had a drow that purchased a space to make into a potion shop, there is also some hills that could be accessed,l and at least a few valleys."

Sveltran let his lips pull up into a broad grin. His brow shifted slightly to a more natural position, belaying the somewhat mischievous nature of the old vampire. Having dropped the nobleman veneer that he had lacquered on he reached for the glass on the table bringing it to his lips and taking a small sip. “You are quite perceptive my friend. The options you have presented, while interesting lack the….flare that im looking for. Im looking for a plot of land, preferably quite old. In fact the ruins of the castle to the south would be ideal. In regards to my scientific pursuits, perhaps I can beg an introduction, but that is for another day. For now, perhaps we should discuss the acquisition of seemingly abandoned and cursed land. I have resources, and will be able to handle construction at the site, but need an understanding of your fees, and to know if you will be my intermediary in the purchase. As you can imagine, my race is not often welcome in the lands of the living.

Aetherclaw ::Plum nodded, “Cursed land does come cheap, of course in this town, with corruption.” He said with an audible animalistic growl of frustration, “Cost will usually run a bit higher with bribes, and signage, not me of course I flat the rate 50 gold a day, however, you need to know the courts and everything here run with some criminal element. Luthor might be able to help, but… he’s in prison thankfully somebody finally put him in their, hopefully they can find a reason to make the stay permanent.” He said with a little more frustration. “I can handle the the intermediary part, easily, as for being taken seriously well, its times like this I wish a red had come with us, the added muscle seems to be well used around here.” He added, as the sound of children real human children filled the hall as they came running in and the soon sound of splash as they jumped into the pool of water, a second later several much smaller razurath followed them and jumped in out of sight as plum moved to close the door. “Chicks will be chicks.” He said, with a sigh. “My apologies, house gets roudy after six.”

Sveltran chuckled a bit to himself at the sudden distraction. It would seem that he had found someone who had something to protect. An interesting data point. Mentally logging this he continued “Aye, this is understandable. Corruption has a way of weaving its way into every facet of life. The innocence of children being one delightful exception for the most part.” He pondered a moment, getting muscle to accompany the Razurathian wouldn’t have been a problem in another city, but the only peple he knew in these parts was Deavanors family…and theyw ere not on good terms. “So you mentioned having a red accompany you. I will give you 75 to cover your initial fee, and an additional 25 for expenses. I can swing 30 for a mercenary to have an easy day accompanying you if that will improve our odds of a more appropriate deal.” He smiled graciously at the saurian “I most certainly wish for both of our prosperity, as where I succeed, so those who help me shall as well.” Bringing his leg up from the floor he crossed his ankle over his knee. “Will these be acceptable terms to begin our negotiations with the city?”

Aetherclaw :: Plum nodded, "Well I was never one to haggle of price, especially when somone offers nearly double, but then I am not Luthor." He turned and sat down in his chair at his desk. "The terms are acceptable provided one exception."

Sveltran raised a brow. He had not expected additional terms considering his offer, and was beginning to wonder what Plum may have picked up in his observations. "Of course, we are negotiating after all. What are your terms?"

Aetherclaw :: Plum leaned forward a bit, "We have an empty room here, thats hopefully no longer going to be occupied by a certain indiviual, and the chicks have gotten used to having 40 grown ups around, for the time your in cenril, I would ask that you rest here, while i am not discounting your ability to protect yourself this city has a growing anti witch sentinment growing steadily and larkets propoganda is always looking for new enemies to make of certain people, our place may be the safest until you can reside in a castle that has legend of hopefully to be broken curse about it." He said refilling the glass. "Especially if anyone you knew knew you were in town, secrets do not tend to stay hidden in this town, either they are leaked to the press or to criminals either of narrows or even the with secret cenrilian guard, perhaps worse so if you get captured by them, the narrows are a terrible place to live."

Sveltran ‘s brief surprise at the offer flitted across his face before quickly being replaced to the cool calm vampire persona that he typically wore. “I appreciate your concern, and would gladly accept the offer…however…Not to press my luck…. But you are fully aware of our eating habits yes? Your offer is definitely a no boon to retaining my anonymity as the buyer, however im surprised you aren’t more concerned. Have you had dealings with vampires in the past?

Aetherclaw :: Plum wore a small smile, a very faint one but one that seemed to hold a very strong irony. "Oh I am not worried, Deliz could probably give you a more descriptive reason as to why but I can say this, our blood is not palatable, and vampirism we seem to be immune to it, much like dragons but without the death to vampires blood, lets just say, when we have a dinosaur and its misbehaving we pour a little of our blood on its tongue. It never repeats the same misbehavior, as for vampires, we had one, once who went died of starvation alongside a fellow razurath who lived through the tale of being trapped in a mine." He said pouring a glass of the very dark stuff at the end of the bottle. And then pushing it forward to him, before remvoing a small vial from his desk. "I keep a few of these as reminders for any potential pets that we would have aquired from venturil had it not been for the door. If you taste, your going to really really want to drink that right afterward."

Sveltran looked at the glass with speculative amusement. He had never tasted blood that didnt fit SOMEONES pallet. He lace the fingers of his right hand carefully around the glass and began raising it to his face, his eyes securely locked on Plum, monitoring his expression carefully. Sniffing lightly at the blood in the glass, a bitter scent wafted into his nostrils. Crumpling his nose ever so slightly he did not catching the scent of any poison he knew of, and deciding that it most certainly did not contain “extract of dragon” he took a sip. His eyes bulged nearly half out of his head as he involuntarily spit the liquid back into the glass. Gagging slightly, with some of the blood dripping over his chin he snatched the other drink from the table, sloshing a few drops onto the table as he did. Turning the cup up, he poured its entire contents into his mouth before swishing the liquid around and swallowing it in one gulp. “DAMN”! He exclaimed before coming partially back to himself. He glanced over his shoulder hoping the children hadn’t heard him cursing. Coughing a bit more as the taste lingered in his mouth, his face locked up in pure unadultered revoltion. “I …can see why.. you aren’t nervous” He held his left hand to his stomach. Had he not been a vampire, he most certainly would have paled after that …atrocity had touched his tongue. As it was it left him slightly nauseated as he stared daggers at the glass.

Aetherclaw :: Plums left brow rose as the vampire reacted to the blood of the razurath. "You know.." He said while the vampire was gagging over the taste, "...The last person aside from you who tasted our blood was a troll, he cut his own tongue out his mouth and went on to try to cut out his own throat, to get that stuff out." He said with a bit of satisfaction, "You took considerably better, must come with being mostly dead," he said with a smile. "Thankfully its non toxic, just don't ever heat it or chill to extreme temptures and everyone other than razurath will be fine, "Now then, since you will be staying, we do have children who aren't razurath, thankfully our blood is easily transfusable and we can give them a short transfusion to make it less tempting for you, also dinner will be meat, and meitsfruit, and maybe some real fruit." He said pouring more liquid into the vampires glass, "usually three or four of these will rid the flavor, best to keep drinking it otherwise its just going to get worse." He said offering the next glass.

Sveltran quickly absconded the glass from plumbs hand, and dumped the contents into his mouth. All propriety seemed lost on the would-be cold hearted creature of darkness as he began gargling the alcohol in his mouth. With another heavy gulp he swallowed the contents down. Taking additional notes on the comment about heating or cooling the blood in his mind, his curiosity began to outweigh his disgust. “Heating or cooling you say? Im sure you are aware that telling a scientist what NOT to do with something given potential of an adverse reaction all but obligates him to do just that.” With a mischievous grin he set the glass back on the table. “You mentioned meitsfruit. Thus far from my sampling of your….culture… I do hope the fruit is on the more…palletable side?” The last was said both with curiosity and a silent prayer that nothing could possibly taste remotely similar to the liquid in the vial he had nearly imbibed.

Aetherclaw :: Plum chuckled, "Telling a scientist common sense, is what i do best, whether they choose to take it is their business," He said as he prepared another glass for the formerly tough palate vampire, "Most certainly Meitsfruit I think you will find to be quite a delicacy, at least for those who have had a chance to try it. The non razurath children love it, and while I have a preference for real meat, meitfruit is not without an exception for being unique." He said rising to his full height of 6'. Now then, since we have this out of the way, how about I take you on a short tour of the house."

Sveltran snatched the next glass from the table and once again followed the same ritual of gargle, swish, and swallow. Placing the glass back on the table, with the look of a man who had just been forced to eat three week old stew after it sat in the sun and open air for the duration, he stood to follow Plum on the tour. "Of course. *he gagged a bit more* Thank you for your hospitality" The way he said hospitality sounded somewhat embittered by the sharing of of the vile blood as his eyes returned breifly to it, but he remained formal and appreciative.

Aetherclaw :: Plum nodded and opened the door, which led back out to the big open space. While it was true the area was unusally white, it did possess an assortment of grays and a few shades of black but now with other razurath in the picture the room seemed to pop more like multicolored razurath were blotches of color on canvas like abstract art work, full bold color, and many of children playing with the humanoid children well some them weren't human three were drow, two had to be elf, and one was feline, one perhaps was a young child growing into a giant. As he led him through the first hall way, Plum would open a few doors which would slide upward either revealing empty labortories with scientific equipment and alchemist studies, while others would hold large scale objects like a workshop one even with an object which was using light to cut through a stone. some these rooms had other razurath, some of them Brown others, blue, and several mixed. As he walked through he would answer the questions as best plum could. "So the hall way we are in we call, Kov'x, which is our tongue is Craftsman, and it where blue and brown work on their various projects."

Sveltran watched as plum opened various doors, this place was a treasure trove of new information! Glancing into each room on this craftsmans floor he studied all of the events with wonder. Spotting the light that seemed to be cutting through metal he asked his first question. “Is that….how are you powering and focusing this without a powerful mage funneling the elements? Ive not seen a mechanical device containing such strength without strong magical influence.”

Aetherclaw :: Looked at him and then the device that was cutting through metal. "No the children and those that are magically inclined who are not Razurath are the ones who imbue certain runes to hold and store a certain amount of mana which is then used to power it, normally the amount of power would be so great that it would kill any mage who tried to pull if off unless they were either a dragon or somone who had a large mana reserve. Now we have a way that fixes that, but the limited extent of my knowledge stops there." He says as he points to one sealed door, that does not open. "We have been fortunate that oen of Cecil's children is exceptional with runes and before they moved out here from the Valley, he worked with a large team of blues on a particular rune, and now he makes only that type, but the work requires lots of concentration and ample resources aren't as accomodating as they were back from when the pass wasn't sealed off, so in a way we are cut off from our own source of much needed material, so for now he's working on two things either it being the particular fix, or working to find a way to build an extractor for ore we need." He said as he led him on to the hall called s'leer. "S'leer, that is healer, this hall we have multiple labs exclusivily built for our greens who live here, and while I would show you them, the greens are notoriously hyper territorial, especially when it comes to their patients, don't be to surprised if you find our greens heavily scarred over brawls with other greens over patients." he said almost with a little quickness with his step as he tried to manuever out of the hallway as quick as possible.

Sveltran looked at the sealed door a little longer than needed "Perhaps i can get an introduction to Cecil later on. I feel that his research may be invaluable, and perhaps i could offer assistance in his current quest." Following along to the Healers section, he briefly admired the closed doors, with a perfunctoral nod. If his host was not going to stick around he wouldnt either. no good getting into a fight when you are a guest. "You seem rather well rounded yourself, are different colors of your species really so different behaviorally? Apologies if that is rude to ask."

Aetherclaw :: Plum shook his head, "Well you can talk to cecil but he is not the one you will want to talk to, its his son, I am sorry Redlceth, thats who you will want to talk to but fair warning though, he's quiet and better at keeping secrets, he hasn't mated yet which is a little odd, but then almost everyone here is close enough to be family, so its a little awkward. He said as he passed into the third hall way. "No it is not rude, its actually quite reassuring to know people still question that mystery, every color seems to have an assigned personality biologically, we were created for that purpose to each serve a purpose and to function like a well oiled machine, each part has its own advantages and disadvantages used to temper the whole thing as a whole. Of course the machine is broken, we are missing a valid part, and I suppose what happened with this whole speel of things is that somehow someway that void, got fixed. somehow."

Sveltran bit his lip a bit, a million questions flooding into his head. Taking note that Redlceth was probably lonely as he was in need of a mate, he moved on. So first of all, you said you were created. Is this in relation to your religeon? Additionally what is the part you speak of? perhaps i can help to procure it, and finally...what void? i havent felt any major disturbances in the energies around here, although its not been long that ive been in the area."

Aetherclaw :: Plum walked him through the last hall which was of rooms to sleep and family rooms and such. Doors were open which revealed instead of single rooms entire spaces with multiple rooms with large beanbag like chairs, and couches and tables and kitchens, and such very homy as compared to the exterior hall, each a little different. "Living quarters, please don't go in to the one at the end of the hall, that one well, they are not to be disturbed, and frankly we don't want them running about. I will answer your other question after dinner." He said, "For now I must retire, perhaps you would speak to our friend you met in the street." He said.

Sveltran nodded politely "Of course, you have been a gracious host and i look forward to our next meeting." Accepting his suggestion Sveltran departed with a final comment " Visiting our friend im sure will be quite relaxing after the brand new kind of tension ive acquired from the taste of your blood." He winked at Plum following his little joke, and departed.
