RP:Feral Dragons of Larket

Elegant Bridge in Larket

A large, wild and gushing river separates the lands of Larket and Kelay-Sage but luckily a long and elegant bridge formed of sweeping arches crafted carefully of brick and stone links the two lands together. On the north side are a pair of Larket Knights in armor and on the southern a pair of Elven Rangers, neither side appear to be bothered by the other but it would appear recent events have led to the stone bridge now being guarded round the clock. The southern side of the bridge is bright with verdant growth; the beginnings of Sage Forest. On the northern side, however, is a bustling city of stone.

Deep into the forest came crashing sounds and growls of two large creatures fighting, green gas flowing through on top of the water that flows under the bridge mixed with the smell of chemicals burning things up. No smoke was above the tree line other than the birds flying every other direction speaking there side of the intrusion making the forest a loud mess. Staring deep into the trees one could see a green dragon and a black dragon, the black being a bit bigger than the young green as they were rising on their hind legs. Keera swinging her tail around with the spade fully open to slam a good amount of her acid on the green dragons left wing causing the creature to go flailing backwards quickly rolling over to its feet expelling more gas making Keera shake her head hard as possible choking at the gas that quickly absorbed her oxygen from the lungs. Raising its left front talon to put a nice deep gash along the right side of her face, in return the choking Keera turned to send one of her protruding horn through its claw. By the looks between the two they been fighting for a long time, the green had many acid burns to show for it, as Keera had many bloody scales and a broken back left talon on her foot. The two backed off of each other slowly staring to see what the other one would do next.

Madigan had been crossing the bridge when a horrific odor rose up from beneath, making Ajani cough furiously and wheeze. Even his eyes watered. The dryad covers his face and blows air to him so he can breathe clear oxygen as she runs across the bridge where there's clearer air. As soon as her Poppy-Jasper dragon can breathe again, Madigan realizes she's walked into what feels like a war zone. She looks around frantically, trying to make sense of what's going on around her. In that moment, she notices the two dragons going at each other. Time to find cover; she dashes to the other side of the road away from the fighting dragons and cradles her newly hatched dragon against her chest. His eyes seem to pop out from the pressure she's putting on him in her worried state. He whimpers and whines at her, not liking how she's behaving all of a sudden. He wants to know what's going on.

Kuiai is currently in Larket and the disturbance the dragons are causing has had his tribe on edge and sent him, Kuiai, and a few other minotaurs to scout the problem. Birds flying overhead caused Kuiai to look up and a shot from one of his fellow minotaurs, a brown one, causes Kuiai to snap his head in the direction of the gas. He halts his men and watches, recognizing one of them as Keera. He lets out a roar, only a raging bull can create, signaling to the dragons that he is here. He draws his flail and fetches his shield, snorting. Madigan is noticed running across the bridge, like she was trying ot get away, and Kuiai doesn't blame her.

Keera reared up again on her hind legs slamming herself towards him, the bone spikes on her back bristling wilding to work as extra armor almost like stakes ready to rip into the other dragon, the green dragon cried out as Keera did this knowing what she was about to do. Using the cream colored horns to toss the green dragon to the side and where she would twist around to charge underneath him hoping to make a repeating cut along the belly. The most vulnerable spot on a dragon, there under bellies, luckily the green spread out its wings and lifted its self in the air long enough to keep from a fatal wound the black was aiming to give. Turning around her tail rouse up towards her back, the spade was slowly opening back up like a fist releasing, such spade had four points and she was able to work the acid dripping appendage like a spare claw, wings with a span of eight ft. jerked open. In doing so more acid went flying in the direction of the green, causing the green to roll over in pain as steam rolled off of his scales that she been working on melting since the fight leaving a now bare bleeding spot on its hid. With a proud roar Keera lowered her head daring it to try anything again as she clenched the sharp coppery-red stained teeth at him, a light glowing in-between her teeth signaling she was ready to release her acid breath if it kept up. Once again the two dragons were at a halt at each other both inhaling and exhaling hard. Keera still coughing from the green's own gas breathe. Only then did Keera hear Kuiai, but her eyes were bleeding from the horrible gas, making her vision blurry enough as it was and if she turned her eyes from the green dragon she was certain she would not be able to focus on him. Madigan's presence was not noted yet, but the smell of a tiny dragon nearby was. Which visibly made Keera angrier at the fact there was a small hatchling nearby and this green was acting like this!

Madigan hushes Ajani and peeks over the rock curiously. If she didn't have Ajani to worry about, she'd probably be running in there and strapping the two dragons to the floor. But she does have Ajani to worry about and she's happy to worry about him. The dryad gives him a loving stroke without taking her eyes off the fight. She can't tell where the roar came from but this scene was incredibly entertaining -- so long as her little dragon isn't caught in the fire of it. Ajani gives out a baby dragon roar, angry with her for not listening to him. She stares down at him with wide, moss green eyes. He hisses and starts clawing at her. He manages a pretty deep wound before Madigan shifts to her bark skin. She swiftly holds him up to her face and hisses back at him more ferociously than he had. His head immediately drops and he whimpers, purple eyes having grown terribly sad and intimidated. Madigan replaces him against her chest but she's careful not to squeeze him this time. It's obvious to her that she's hurt him and she feels terribly guilty for it, but at least he's calmer now and she's keeping him out of harm's way.

Kuiai reaches for his cloak and wraps it against his face to help shield from the gas, that keeps pushing him and his bulls back toward the city. He snorts and stomps a foot and gives out another crying roar of rage, "This need to stop! Now!" He took a deep breath and ran through the gas and to the fighting dragons, where he stood next to Keera, ready to defend himself if she decided to attack him. "This is enough!"

Keera heard the hatchling nearby and growled the last warning to the green, especially when she heard Kuiai coming, her vision so badly blurred now that she could not see him. Such creature seemed to have enough of the black , especially with a minotaur at her side. Feeling as if they should meet again soon, and took off running between the trees, leaving many knocked over. Keera roared out in pride of her win against the green, attempting to sniff the air to make sure no more dragons were near other than the small hatchling nearby. None were so she could finally rest, carefully moving through the forest to make it to the bridge hoping to lay near it to rest. Once she was there she spotted Madigan and nodded her head to her in a greeting way noticing that was where the hatchling was at. She showed the appreciation for protecting a small dragon by not threatening her, not knowing if Madigan was safe or not. Collapsing to rest near the streams, slamming her head down to make the water deeper were she tried to wash out the effects of the gas. Her black scales had blood seeping from under them in some places, her back left foot almost looked sprained by the way she was trying to not baby it in front of the others near. Raising her head up, blinking roughly she saw the blur of Kuiai where she was just fighting and some others had come with him, everything was a blurr and her pupils even showed it as they were not the right size. Still inhaling and exhaling as her wings rested against her, some parts of the wing’s web were scratches but nothing serious enough. Keera would rest for a few more minutes till shadows engulfed her form leaving the purple robed human form of Keera lying in the water. Sighing heavily, her senses were slowly coming back. Along her milky flesh they could see scratches and deep wounds but she did not act on these yet. Rolling on her back speaking out between her coughs, “Why are you all here? That green is a racist attacked me because of my color?” Hushing now as she coughed heavily, lowering her nose to the water hoping that would help her out, it was her first ever fight with a dragon, she seemed to do alright.

Madigan :: After making sure the black dragon would bring no harm to her or Ajani, she approaches slowly and sits beside the black. "Do you want me to sing a healing song for you? It won't heal you entirely but it'll mend most of your wounds, especially the smaller ones." She puts Ajani down and, keeping him in sight, pulls out a green fungus from her bag and a bowl and crushing stick. Scooping up a bit of water in the bowl, she then turns to Keera and waits for her approval before working on the black's wounds. "What is 'racist'?" the dryad asks.

Kuiai approaches Keera and even starts to bend down to help her up, but he stops and remembers that she is a dragon and may not want his help. The other two minotaurs keep their distance and remain silent and straight, knowing they are in their future king's presence. "It doesn't matter if the other was racist. You are a dragon of all creatures and petty words like that shouldn't bother you. I also ask that next time, take your fight south of the bridge and out of Larket. It disturbes the minotaurs as well as the city people." He smiles as he looks down at her, then ne squats down, "But I thought it was a great fight," he said softly to her. He motions for the bulls to return to the tribe compound and leave him to his business. Madigan is greeted with a nod of his head, "So we meet again after so long after the attempt to save Sasha from that mongrel."

Keera moved out of the water, laying down where her feet still dangled in the water. The cool feeling helped her to slow her heart down, looking at the hatchling she cooed at it having a soft spot for the young ones, “Go ahead, and racist means classifying me by my color. Black dragons like myself never but rarely get along with other dragons. Something is up with the dragons here, something has them on edge..” Looking to Kuiai smirking, wait was that an actual almost smile? “Kind hard to when you smell and hear small little dragons crying out, and then you are jumped on. If any dragon attacks another dragon a fight always ensues no matter what.” Looking back towards the one working on healing she nods a thanks, climbing to her feet. “If I could heal myself by song we be in business.” The dragon looks between the two as she stumbles to her feet, babying her foot that was swollen, “Did you two happen to hear any small dragons crying earlier?

Kuiai stands back up and shakes his head, "No I didn't. I was to busy partaking in a circle my father called for. I have to get back to it now. I wish I could stay longer but I can't." He bows to both females and turns and heads back into the forest, westerly.

Madigan fails to recall a Sasha or a mongrel. But she does recall seeing the minotaur at least once before. Where was that? What were they doing? She scrunches her eyebrows together as she tries to recall, placing the mushroom into the bowl and crushing it with her crushing stick. Soon enough, it's a mushy goo. Madigan begins to spread it into the woman's wounds. The fungus gives off a minty sensation, so it'd help serve to cool down the woman's throbbing wounds. She'd begun to hum as the woman spoke but pauses to answer her question, "Ajani cried out earlier because he was frightened." She looks down at her Poppy-Jasper hatchling and smiles sadly, a pang of guilt hitting her suddenly. He seems happy, though; the little dragon is pouncing on the little drops of water that jump out as the soft current slams against a rock near the bank. He yips and growls and then hisses. Another pounce and Madigan suddenly feels less guilty. She continues to work the woman's wounds and resumes her healing song.

SO keera would been healed and tomorrow night hopeful get more together to find the baby dragons.
