After Dergious' evil trickery

Sophie wolf drags her armour hobbled body

Sophie makes a great effort to drag her armour hobbled body, towards Aerindir, but only manges to move a foot or too, before, becoming even more entangled in the stuff and unable to proceed. She snaps visciously in his direction anyway and Howls in rage and frustration, that the elf is too far away to bite.

Ashryn cautiously climbs the path, wary after hearing the painfull howling of a wolf. He readies a dart in the odd tube that Sophie had given him yesterday, assuming that the sedative would work on a normal animal as it would a lycanthrope.

Sophie on seeing the half elf Ashryn, the wolf growls in anger, another elf creature and also too far away to bite, the beast thinks to herself!

Aerindir doesn't recognize Sophie, at least not in her present state, and only believes her to be a wounded wolf. Mindful not to get too close however, for he knows a wounded lupine is far more dangerous than a healthy one, he's attempting just to determine how he should respond.

Ashryn fires a drugged needle from a blowpipe at the dangerous wolf, Sophie

Ashryn has a look of shocked recognition as he notices the collar about the neck of the wolf in front of him on the path, the clothing wrapped about the beast confirming his fears. He quickly raises the blowgun to his lips and prepares to fire upon the wolf. Suddenly he notices the unarmed elf behind the wolf and hesitates for a second.

Sophie continues to snap and growl at the two men, becoming even more angry, because her actions are futile. Her green eyes are filled with hatred.

Ashryn regains his composure and fires the dart, hoping that the potion will work quickly, and be enough to sedate the enraged animal.

Sophie yelps as the dart hits its mark

Sophie yelps as the dart lands near her shoulder, She turns her head and tries, to pull to irritating sharp thing out with her teeth. She suceeds in removing the dart but not before enough of the drug has entered her bloodstream...

Ashryn notices the dart hit the wolf, and prepares another, hoping that he will not need to use it.

Sophie is obviously feeling drowsy, she is still growling at the two men, but not so loudly, her eyes become unfocussed, then close, her body slumps to the floor, the wolf is unconscious, but for how long?

The wolf is muzzled and chained

Ashryn quickly but cautiously approaches the wolf and reaching into his pack, pulls out the muzzle and the key to the chain that is still about the wolfs neck. Quickly he attempts to put the muzzle in place, wary that his friend may wake at any moment.

Sophie stirs, but does not awake as Ashryn securely binds her jaws together with the muzzle.

Ashryn begins to breathe slowly again, and taking his Athame, he wraps the chain around the weapon, securing it. He then drives it forcefully into the ground, securing it. Regaining his sense of his surroundings, he notices the elf behind the wolf. Nodding slowly he says "Back away a bit and ensure you are outside of the chains reach, we will likely have to wait until the transformation wears off before we can approach her safely again." and taking his own advice, he backs slowly out of the reach of the chain. "We can take advantage of the fact that the clothes are still restricting her movement as well.

Sophie is obviously still feeling drowsy, she is also very unimpressed by the muzzle, she rubs her head against the ground, trying to remove the hateful restraint.

Aerindir gives the chained wolf a wide berth

Ashryn stands at the ready with another dart, willing to wait as long as he needs to for his friend to transform. "Friend elf, you may want to move around and away from that cliff, for if she lunges, you may react in a way that puts you further in harms way." Motioning a large arc around the wolf, he says "Take that path, and stay clear of her bite."

Aerindir is now moving toward the pathway leading to the west, ensuring he'lll be in no danger should she attack. This method is also employed to make sure, that if such a thing happens, no chance of Sophie skidding off the outcropping of rock and earth will happen either.

Ashryn sighs a bit as he notices the unarmed man moving into a little safer position.

Sophie is becoming more awake now, the drug is wearing off.

Ashryn tries speaking to Sophie

Ashryn speaks loudly, in order to get the wolves attention. "Sophie, can you understand me? Do you know me?"

Sophie does respond when she hears Ashryn's voice but there is no sign of recognition in her green eyes, only bloodlust and hatred!

Ashryn said, "I can wait my friend, until you do recognise me." You idly talks to himself as he tries to ease his tension and concern for his friend. "I really do wish I knew more of lycans. I wish I knew how to help her. Friend elf, do you think you could possibly go try and find some help?"

Sophie continues to stare at the half elf in hatred, a muffled growl is emitted from beneath the muzzle. You paces the arc away from the cliff, and begins to speak in a gentle voice toward the wolf. "I wish I were able to help you m'lady. My employ with you has been a great learning experience, my physical training seems to be progressing well also."

Sophie s eyes move to follow Ashryn as he paces, as he continues to speak gently to her, the hatred seems to gradually fade from the wolf's eyes, she almost seems relaxed, though obviously still injured and in pain...

Ashryn continues to pace back and forth. "This lycanthropy is a foul curse, but we shall cure you m'lady. I believe you need to want to cure it though"

Ashryn said, "I wonder if your dragon friend has made any progress. I think it would be wise of me to speak with them, so that I can find more out about it.""

Music soothes the savage breast ( or savage beast). Sophie returns to elf form

Ashryn begins to hum a broken, semi-melodic tune, as much to ease his own mind as to try and soothe the beast.

The tune unmusical though it is, does seem to soothe the injured beast. Slowly the hair appears to begin to grow back into her body. Then a howl of pain tears from the wolf's mouth, sounding very strange muffled by the muzzle. The pain is caused by the transformation from, wolf back to elf. In a few moments it is Sophie the elf who lies, there, still entangled in the torn and twisted armour she is confused and obviously still in pain from her injuries.

Ashryn, cautiously, but quickly goes to Sophie's side, helping her to a sitting position, taking off his cloak, he wraps it gently around her. "Where are you hurt Sophie? I saw wounds on you, they should be attended to." An odd mix of concern and worry flash across his face as he comments. "Is there a healer that you trust, that I can take you to m'lady?"

Sophie seems to still be confused, she understands that Ashryn is trying to help her, but her recently transformed mind cannot understand all the questions he asks her, the muzzle hangs loose from her ace as her elf's mouth does not protrude the way her wolf's mouth does. "Can you take off this armour, it it digs in it hurts, she stammers then clenches her teeth in pain.

Dear Fallkri arrives

Fallkri walks out from the mines and then sees in the distance a figure lying on the ground and studies the figure to be a familiar and injured elf. Fallkri then runs toward the injured elf, worry flashing in his eyes. "What has happened here?", he asks in a bit of a panic as he tries to catch his breathe from running so quickly You hastily removes the muzzle and moves to help her out of the twisted pieces of armour. "I am truly sorry I was yet again lax in my duties m'lady." Nervously he examines the twisted bits of leather and metal.

Sophie looks at Fallkri Strangley. What is he doing? She recognises her friend however and tries to smile at him.

Ashryn notices Fallkri for the first time and says "She has undergone another transformation Fallkri, I grow truly worried for our friend."

Fallkri worriedly looks down at his now mangled friend. "Dont' move too much Sophie, drink some alcohol to aid in the pain as we try to get rid of this armor."

Fallkri looks over to see his friend Ashryn and nods, "I assumed so, friend." He says grimly, "What shall we do about getting this armor off of her?"

Fallkri gently nudges Sophie's chin up with his left hand as he slowly pours some of the wine into Sophie's mouth.

Fallkri stares down at the mess of armor, limbs, and leather and wonders how to get Sophie untangled from the mess. "Dear Ashryn, do you have any idea on how to go about doing this?"

Fallkri removes the muzzle

Fallkri reaches out hesitantly once more and removes the muzzle from Sophie's head, carefully cradling and supporting it as he does so.

Sophie swallows a ew mouthfuls of wine, before begining to choke, when she has finished choking she says in a calmer, more rational voice, "Thankyou but I need something stonger, in my healers bag there is whiskey, could you mix in two packets of pixie dust , please, that is also in the bag..."

Standing, he goes over to where he had driven his dagger into the ground and extricates it. Moving back to them both, he begins to carefully cut away the pieces that he can, trying desperately to avoid putting any extra preassure on the pieces of twisted metal that are digging into her flesh.

Fallkri looks over to the side and sees Sophie's bag, he then quickly rummages through it to find a bottle of whiskey and a few packets of pixie dust.

Fallkri then opens the bottle of whiskey and dumps the content of the packets into it and begins to move it in a clockwise manner, trying to disolve the dust before giving it to the injured elf.

Fallkri does this for a few more minutes and then hurriedly gets on his knees next to the helpless woman, he then rests her head against his shoulder to give her support as he gently once more tilts her head back and places the bottle into her mouth. "I hope I do not choke you with this as well, lady, I have no intention on worsening your sufering by doing so."

Sophie is full of questions

Sophie gratefully swallows the painkilling mixture, when she has finished it all, she says to her two friends, "Now please we much wait about 10 minutes for the numbing effect to overcome me. While we wait my friends can you tell me of my transformation, were you here to witness it?"

Fallkri said to Sophie, "unfortunately, I was not here to help attend while you were transformed, I only arrived after you had started the transformation back into your elven body...I am sorry I had not arrived sooner, lady.""

Fallkri said to Ashryn, "what of you, were you not here friend?" Ashryn said, "I'm afraid I only got here afterwards m'lady. "

Fallkri gently let's the elf lay back against him to make her situation a bit more comfortable. "What do you remember, Sophie?", the dwarf asks curiously.

Her confused memories of Dergious' evil trickery

Sophie said to Fallkri, "I remember a dwarf, not you, my friend , another dwarf with a metal arm. He was showing me something, something buried in the ground, he seems to think it was of great imortance for me. I did not understand why...."

You quietly continues to work on removing the armour. Listening intently to what might be said. Fallkri said to Sophie, "Another dwarf you say, do you remember what he looked like, or what he put into the ground"

Sophie is becoming very drowsy now, her speech is slurred and her body half slumps against Fallkri who is gently supporting her. You said, "We should get her somewhere that she can sleep comfortably Fallkri, and also find a healer to help cure some of her wounds."

Fallkri nodds to Ashryn, "If your trying to take the armor off of her, now is the time to do it so she wont' transform back into her other form from pain." Fallkri nods, we shall find a place for her and also find her a healer...I am thinking the dragonhead inn may be the best place for a bed?

Sophie murmers, her voice now very slurred, please, my friends, first get this awful armour off me..."

Ashryn continues to work away at the armour, the last pieces letting loose.

Poor Ashryn feels like he has failed Sophie

Ashryn said, "I can carry her if you like Fallkri, the burden should be mine, as this happened while I was not around, and I feel that I have failed her."

Fallkri said to you, "I think we both should carry to balance the weight of her body and also so that we dont' strain one part by lifting, instead we hold two parts and the weight balances causing her less pain..." Sophie moans in pain as the armour is removed as in places it has dug into her flesh, while the wild beast desparately tried to free herself from it. Luckily the whisky and pixie dust have numbed the pain enough that she is not in danger of transforming

Fallkri looks down at the woman worriedly and with fear that there is a possibility that the tranformation could happen again. He then gently holds her, hoping to find some way for her pain to end.

Fallkri nodds to Ashryn, I will hold her uppder body and you stabalize her legs and we must go to the Dragon Head Inn and get a room for her there and then we need to find some sort of a healer to help her.

At the Dragon's head inn

Fallkri gently moves Sophie's body to the bed and motions Ashryn to move with the same motion as he to make the landing as gentle as possible. "Are you okay, Sophie?" Fallkri asks as she is lowered down. Sophie collapses upon, the comfotable bed, obviously exhausted. "

Ashryn said, "We should let her rest Fallkri, she will need it. But what should we do about the transformations? She seems to be getting worse, and the episodes appear to be getting more frequent."

Sophie said to Fallkri, ""My wounds hurt, my friend, but I don't think they are life thratening. I need to sleep, dear one. Do you think the healer will be here soon?"

Fallkri said to Sophie, "I am hoping one will arrive soon Sophie, just hold out for a bit longer...try to relax a bit."

Fallkri said to Ashryn, "I have no idea what to do about the transformations, what can we do really except hope that we can get her back to the elven form...?"

Sophie said, "Is there any moe whiskey, please, and a little more pixie dust perhaps?"

Ashryn frowns a bit. "I guess, I just wish her dragon friend were making some more headway with finding a cure for her." Sophie said, "Hume is doing all he can to help, he thinks he may be able to teach me how to be in control of myself when in wolf form..."

Fallkri hurriedly grabs the mixture that he had and once again dumps the packet of pixie dust into the bottle of whiskey for Sophie. He then swrils it in the clockwise fashion as done before and then slowly comes over to Sophie and hands it to her. "Do you need help drinking this? Or can you manage?"

Fallkri nodds, "I too hope that the solution to these problems can be met, I dont' know if I could hurt Sophie...but hopefully I am not in that situation of the transformation....

Sophie said, " I can manage now my hands are free of that accursed armour, my dear friend!" She drinks, from the bottle."

Sophie let's the now empty bottle falls from her hand. It clunks onto the wooden floorboards, but does not break. Sophie falls into a deep, drugged sleep, where she can find at least a temporary release from her pain...

Ashryn sighs and slips quietly away, troubled by his mistress' anguish and pain and his own failure to protect her.
