RP:Eat This Lion

From HollowWiki

Xyzentia soars through the sky effortlessly, shining bright, almost as if a beacon of light. It had been ages since she allowed her self to enjoy her birth form. Always hiding under the visage of an elf, or that of the humans she loved so dear. Although living among such creatures had a fascinating way about it, there was no denying the incredibly rush she felt spreading her wings, reflecting the light like a star. Her massive, strikingly beautiful blue eyes would scan the lands, looking for something to take part in, maybe she'd find someone playing music, where she could dance. Maybe just someone to talk to... There, Xyzentia spotted the visage of a dead animal, and a man nearby. She would quickly dive from high in the sky, straight down. With a loud smash, she'd land shaking the ground beneath them.

Tyler is examining the dead lion with a frown plastered upon his face. He'd been making way through the range when he'd come across the beast and while he would of been rather terrified to run into a live lion, seeing one needlessly slaughtered brought him a bit of pain. The frail human had just managed to pull away from the beast and continued walking down the range. Cursing as his feet bent in awkward angles due to the holes and craters that plagued the earth here. A large shadow cast over head and his brow and head both go up. Before he has time to react a massive dragon stands before him. The human had never encountered one in person and was unsure if he should turn to fight or flight. For now, he remains calm. Deep caramel hues scanning the beast before making eye contact. He holds the stare, unknowing if this one held any intelligence or was a mindless monster like those in the books. He calls in a calm demeanor, "Hello".

Xyzentia faces the human. Her eyes locked with his own. After a shared moment of silence she speaks,"Hello." Her eyes shift to behind the man, where the empy vessel lay lifeless.

Tyler notes the change in her line of sight and is quick to follow. The lion. He curses beneath his breath and turns back to Xyzentia. /It thinks you killed it./, he thinks in a bit of a frenzy. His expression remains neutral as he observes the dragon a bit longer before advancing toward it, hoping to get around. "I was just heading home, and it's a pretty good ways so I better get to it." He chuckles. He's nervous and for the first time it shows.

Xyzentia quickly looks back to the human, as if to hault his motion completely. Her eyes fixated on him, almost to the extent of peering inside of him, "It is your doing, is it not?"

Tyler snorts as if mocking the behemoth before him. The human calling out, "Seriously? Don't be an idiot." He claims, waving his hands up and down his body to showcase his physique. It was true, if Tyler had fought the lion it would be his lifeless body on the ground, not the animals.

Xyzentia backs up a little, eyes widening in at him. She looks to the fragile human, then back in the direction of the empty vessel, as if comparing. Xyzentia moves in closer, her head easily the size of his body is now almost touching him. She exhales enough to ruffle his clothing,"Wait here." She speaks as she walks off past his, the ground shaking intermittently.

Tyler isn't a fool. He knows damn well he wouldn't be able to outrun the dragon so he does as instructed, his boots planted firmly into the broken earth, vibrating as she walks. A sigh of irritation is given as she moves away. "If you're going to eat me you can just get it out of the way already!" He calls out, hoping she doesn't make well on the offer.

Xyzentia returns after a few moments, the empty vessel stored between her jaws. It was troublesome to see such a fragile looking human. She figured he was lacking in sustenance. As she approaches him, she finally lays the creature down at his feet,"There is no need to let it waste. Eat, while it is still fresh. You say you have a long journey to your home, you will need sustenance."

Tyler's face peels back in a repulsive manner as he gags. The lion's corpse dripping blood from Xyzentia's fangs. He waves his hand rapidly in her face to refuse the offer. "Oh, Oh god no. No." He heaves a few times offering a gag before trying to calm himself. He faces her once more with his eyes watering. "No, I'm, uh, I'm alright. I'm a vegitarian." He lies in a last ditch effort to escape the disgusting meal. "Honest. But, you-you go ahead. I'm fine."

Xyzentia cocks her head to the side in utter confusion. After a moment, she picks the creature up and throws it into the air, catching it in her mouth as it falls and swallowing it whole. "From what lands do you hail, human?"

Tyler once again finds himself fighting the urge to vomit as Xyzentia downs the dragon in one go. The man forcing himself to relax and answer the dragon. "I'm from the northern highlands, ways away from here. I stay in the Sage Forest at this time however."

Xyzentia begins to encircle the human, almost as if she were sizing him up. She begins prodding him with her snout, a push here, a poke there. After a few moments of this she seetles infront of him, looking down at him from above, "I shall accompany you home human. It isn't safe for one such as yourself to traverse alone.A dragon could swoop from the sky, swallow you whole. Although you might not offer much sustenance... vegetarian you say? How fascinating...." She says as her body begins to shrink, smaller and smaller, until she is almost half the stature of the human before her. Her extremely pointed ears, pale skin, and strikingly beautiful features hint at the illusion of high elven blood. She stands as a mere child though. she reaches out her hand offering it as a sign of friendship, "Shall we go..... Oh, how very rude of me! I must have forgotten, What is your name, human?" She flashes a smile, full of childlike innocence.

Tyler finds the actions of the dragon rather rude as she pushes him about but he once again relys on his common sense to not challenge her. Then she begins to morph in front of him. Smaller and smaller until little more than a toddler stands before him. His expression is of deep confusion as he slowly reaches out to take the childs hand. "Erm... I, Uh... I'm Tyler, and you?" Suddenly he feels he should be the one escorting her home.

Xyzentia grips his hand lightly as she begins to skip beside him, "Xyzentia! You may address me as Xyze(ooc:pronounced zz)! It's lovely to make your acquaintance, Tyler! Oh, if you could keep, me being a dragon a secret, i'd very much appreciate it.. I'd hate to have to eat you..." She begins to giggle lightheartedly, though whether or not humor was intended is yet to be seen. "How'd you arrive here, Tyler?"

Tyler raises a brow as the girl speaks of making him her dinner. The human no longer intimidated by the female but still weary. The skip didn't quite annoy the man but it made him feel uncomfortable. Tyler hadn't been around children in a long, long time. He found himself scared to so much as curse with her present. He chuckles, "Yeah. No need to worry about that Xyze." At her question, Tyler shrugs. He debates telling her the truth but decides against it. "Boat. Simple ride. Couple of days time. Yourself?"

Xyze's face lights up with excitement at the mentioning of travel by boat,"Oh my, how fascinating! I've never trailed by boat, I've never even been on the sea before! Oh i want to go some day.. I'm sure it must be beautiful, i've heard such wonderful things!" she goes off onto a small tangent to herself for a few moments, cutting off as she remembers you asked her a question, "Oh! Oh yes, how I arrived in these lands. Well, I guess I was looking for inspiration. Living up in the Mountains for a century or so tends to become dull. I wanted to live amongst your kind once more, your cultures and lives are so fascinating, and your music! It moves me so!"

Tyler is still a bit distant from the child, the scene of her transforming stuck on reply in his mind. He hides his confused emotions well as they move closer and closer towards Kelay, eventually stepping on the way. Her excitment of the ocean is met with a chuckle of humor. Truth was, Tyler didn't like sailing much. He didn't care for fish and he didn't care about sea sickness. But why crush a childs dreams? Is she really even a child? He decides to place the conversation on her. "A century, huh? Exactly how old are you Xyz?" He decides it's only fair to provide his age first. "I'm twenty-one. In human years of course."

Xyze looks at her fingers for a moment, as if counting something. She stops for a moment as she concentrates, "let's see... I would be about 150 human years. Yes, thats about right. I'm quite young actually, some of our kind live upwards of 1,200 of your human years. I have barely dipped my toes into the waters actually.." she giggles lightly, to break the tension. "What of your family, Tyler? I'm sure there hearts must be filled with woe when you're are such a distance form home." she looks up to him, her eyes full of wonder.

Family. Another touchy subject for the human. In all honesty, he had no recollection of his family or if he ever had one. Tyler's former incarnation had planted this version in his own flesh and blood when the going got rough. He had bestowed memories of a loving family to the new Tyler, only for him to find they were illusions of the mind. As far as he was concerned, he had no family. He had done well to push away any ill will that cames with the field, and had numbed up fairly well. But he still struggled to find a legitimate answer to provide the young dragoness. He chuckles again and shakes his head. "That's a long story, little dragon Xzy." He gives her hand a light squeeze. "Besides, what makes you so interested in me? Or, well, humans for that matter. Lore usually holds to you lot gobblin' us up for a midnight snack. Kinda' like you did with that lion. Say, where'd all that go anyway?" He reaches around with his free hand and pokes her belly.

Xyze giggles lightly from the poke, her cheeks darkening to pink from there once pale shade. "Well, there are many different kinds of dragons... I am a silver Dragon. We're usually very kind and good hearted. we're also very rare! We have a tendency to be intrigued by your kind. The way you all live... it's simply fascinating. Actually, Many of us spend our lives living among your kind. But, for the most part, your lores are correct, there are a great many Dragons who would gladly gobble you up, Well maybe not a "vegetarian" but the healthy ones of your kind would probably make a good snack." her eyes move back to her belly, "hmm... I never really questioned it actually. . I could attempt to regurgitate it if you'd like. I would assume it might force me back into my Dragon form though."

Tyler snaps his hand over his mouth in disgust as she offers to present the lion to him once again. He's gagging again. "Oh, urgh, oh, no, I'm alright." After the green tint leaves his face and he's breathing regularly again he takes a deep breath before halting. They'd reached the edge of Kelay Way, his "home" laying off in the woods a bit. He kneels down to be face to face with the little dragon. "Well, It's not much further from here and I'm sure I can handle the trip. I would like to personally thank you for not eating me, and of course for the lovely escort home." He grins, his caramel eyes shifting over the little girl. He plants a quick kiss on her forehead. "Dragon or not, be careful around here. This village isn't exactly the best place for kids, no matter their race."

Xyze smiles as he kisses her, waving a farewell. "Cya later, Tyler!" she turns and begins to walk off towards the tavern, before turning back, "oh! I forgot to ask! Would you do me the honor of being my friend?"

Tyler smirks to Xyzentia as she calls back to him, the man pondering for only a moment before calling out to her, "Yeah. Sure kiddo. Friends!" He waves back to her and when he turns to enter the woods he finds a permenant smile stained on his face. He'd finally made a friend.
