RP:Don’t Spoon Your Meal

From HollowWiki

Summary: A good plan to drink from an avian goes south in a rather comical way. Instead of a meal, the man accidentally gets a spoon!

Bard College

Brennia and Thedez finally get back from a long day of cleaning Schezerade up and repairing things. She can feel him staring at her neck… AGAIN. After taking a deep breath, she says in the nicest way, “hey. Why don’t you go ahead and begin your night routine, I’m just going to head to the professor wing and pass out,” the naga doesn’t argue, but hesitates. “I’ll be -fine-. I doubt that crazed vampire would even know where Schezerade is.” The bodyguard moves on with reluctance and does one last perimeter check before anything else while Brennia meanders around the vast oval shaped hall. The walls used to be filled with scrolls of sheet music and her fingertips gently caress over the empty shelves that are carved into the marble. Still so optimistic, she smiles warmly to herself and whispers, “we shall fill you once again with love and music.” Her hair is still up in a messy bun, but nearly cascades out as she slips her large sweater off and wanders the hall in her leggings and camisole. The blue color of the top contrasting against the black filigree ink on her caramel skin and she even slips out of her boots to feel the smooth marble on her feet.

Elioyahazer was once a professional ghost for a living - using his skills to infiltrate even the most secretive and well protected places. There's nothing that would stop him - especially after that first taste. Finding Schezerade was simple enough, having only to talk with a few drunken merchants. Finding Brennia was even easier. Turns out when your famous in your city, everyone knows where you are. Using the information gathered Elioyahazer moves to the college where she can supposedly be found. At first, his presence is phantom like, using his shroud of silence and the shadows, as if he were nothing more than a shadow himself. Reaching the building, he chooses to go around the side and pulls out his tools. The window, he's chosen to work on, pops open and he checks it for traps. Why was he even bothering? This whole city was in ruins, there wouldn't be anything he needs to worry about. However, after slipping into the room, he can hear movement coming from down the hall. Eli closes the window softly and makes use of the shadows. The Naga pops his head into the room, checks the window and then moves on his way doing his perimeter check. That was close. He waits to start stalking until the coast is clear were once again he enters his ghost walking - waiting to hear signs of life.

Brennia remains in the great all, mentally taking inventory of what needs fixed or replaced. Only a few fellow avians occupy the dorm wing and the second floor of the great hall where all those classrooms line the balcony remain closed and empty. The bard makes her way up the curved staircases which hug the curve of the wall and makes her way to the old classroom she used to teach in. The placard next to the stained glass door still says the course name ‘Interpretation 101’ and her name ‘Dean Cadenza’. Another secret smile curved her lips as she turns to knob and opens the door. The cleaning crew must’ve cleaned the place and she nearly skips down the ascended seating styled classroom to where her old desk sat. The mahogany desk is long gone, of course, but when she slides up the cover to the blackboard, the lesson plan is still written in chalk. With a sigh, her large black as midnight wings rustle in the silence…

Elioyahazer has little trouble meandering an empty shell. There's nothing to confront him, nothing to stop him and well, the few Avians in the great hall could be passed without worry - while they are busy. Luck must smile upon him, for he sees his avian beauty at the top of the stairs. With a glance to his surroundings, Elioyahazer waits for the timing and then vanishes up those steps entering the room behind her. However, he does not confront her yet. This could be fun, he did prepare something just for her. With a smile he slams the door shut, but literally uses his supernatural speed to vanish from sight. Making the room look empty. Little does Brennia know that he happens to be hiding somewhere in this very room, with a fistful of alchemical sleeping powder.

Brennia whips around, her wings rise in agitation as her teal hues narrow to peer into the darkness. Someone is here… she knows it and there is only one man she knew who could manipulate the shadows and disappear like this. A vampire by the name of, “Daermon?” She nearly barks with an irritated chastising tone. The hint of bardic magic amplifying her voice may raise goose flesh on the intruder. With a roll of her eyes, “quit the dramatics and show yourself already.” She says with an annoyed expression as her arms cross under her bust. She stays where the windows allow the moonlight to bathe the room in an eerie glow so she can see the man whenever he decides to quit playing around and come out of the shadows.

Elioyahazer doesn't have shadow manipulation in the sense that Brennia sees it. What he does have is an assassins ability to stealthily sneak about using shadows and objects to hide within. The name Brennia has used is unknown to him, and this almost makes him chuckle. Instead he pops up and out from behind one of those rows, used to seat students and stands between Brennia and the exit; the door. Though he's not far from her and a few steps change to a mad rush where that powder is thrown into her face. Breathing that substance in would bring about an exhausted state and soon put her to sleep. There is no verbal response, just a crooked smile of a vampire staring back at Brennia. And if she succumbs Brennia would be grabbed and set down gently. They wouldn't be going anywhere for awhile.

Brennia smiles warmly at the man who attacked her. She must be insane right? “Mister Eli! Are you feeling an… what are yo-“ her friendly sentence changed into a suspicious question. The fact she tried to kill him with kindness first is a testament that she believes there is still good within the fledgling, but it didn’t work. He caught her when she was inhaling to ask the question and the power lodged in her throat and nose! A faint stumble forward while she coughs some of the power out in a puff of smoke before she lets loose a furious sneeze all over the poor fledgling. “Ahh nuuu,” she drowsily says while her lidded gaze looks up at the man who she got mister spit and snot all over as she fell gently at his guide. “Don’t do... anything you’ll… pancake…” she must’ve meant regret.

Elioyahazer and his triumphant plan are thwarted by a sneeze! Of all things! His hand reaches up to wipe the clinging particles of powder and spit from his ashen features. This woman. After this attempt has failed, perhaps he should just ask her really nicely, but then again sleep is on his mind - and swirling fast. Damnit. He wants to curse. His whole plan to use the tools of a fledgling, so she would feel no pain are gone. Well, since it's sleepy time why not just crash here. His resistance to the powder, as it's creator is much higher, so he'd wake before her, but still how troublesome. The vampire moves to Brennia and collects her fighting the sleep. Placing her down on the ground, he curls up next to her, whether she likes it or not and holds her. Like some kind of creeper. “Next time I'm just going to ask.” He mutters out loud.

—————— A few hours later ——————

Brennia had been fed a sleeping draught against her will, but also without her knowledge, for the span of nearly two years. So her sleep is somehow also cut short and she slowly wakes up with a grin on her lips as she’s comfortable, but… wait. This isn’t her bed, it’s the ground! She’s also… not alone!? With a few blinks to get the sleep out of her eyes, she looked over to see that there is a friggin vampire clinging to her! A screech echoed in the empty classrooms as she rolls away from him, sprints for the large windows and just dives out. Fugit! She can fly once the glass shakes free.

Elioyahazer yawns and stretches like a lazy cat. "You're too looooooud." Despite the ringing in his ears he grins. He smells like her now take that, Eli 1.5, Brennia 1. Eli, leaves the room just as she had, but uses a rope. When he reaches the ground below, both hands slip into his pockets while he begins to whistle a tune strolling out of sight and far away.
