RP:Desparrow Plans With Ynhaldei

From HollowWiki

Desparrow was sitting in his throne surrounded by books in piles, some open others not and nothing organized but skewed across his main hall table and then others that had been brought in from other rooms. He was studying at the moment, figuring out what he would do first, practice actual magic, finish the translations of Sabine's books or would he move along with the mutations of his experiments. Des himself sat considerably sized stuck in a partially transformed state, retaining some elven features but with an elongated snout, hands, feet, and body. His ears curved just slightly and attained a bit of a finger point while the ridges of his brows had stuck outwards a bit. For now he was quiet, sipping at tea while cleaving the pages of a book that floated before him.

Ynhaldei received a message via courier but clearly the message did not include any instructions to get into the place. Slightly behind schedule as she finally found the manor that Desparrow was talking about, Knocking quietly by the doorway, though she doubts anyone would hear. Listening in as she found out the house is probably larger inside, causing her knocks to be near inaudible to normal ears. Soon she opened up the door on her own, pick the lock if needed to as she browsed into the interior, looking about for Desparrow.

Desparrow was a good deal further inside of course and did not hear the knocks but the door was enchanted and at Ynhaldei's desire to be in they would swing inwards to grant her entrance. At their opening however Des' eyes were brought to the entry and find Ynhaldei there with perfect timing. Several piles of wolves were about as they slumbered over eachother while others were actively padding about excitedly and even more would be outside moving about the area. Cerulean eyes examined Ynhaldei from afar before slipping back to the pages of the book he was on which happened to be one of Sabine's. "Welcome dear Ynhaldei, I am certainly glad you came. Please come in."

Ynhaldei blinks as the door opened before her, "Okaaay.." the room was large but there is someone at the far end of it, Quietly taking careful steps forward but not too careful to delay her pace, she could hear wolves nearby but was clearly not bothered as she has fought her own share of beasts in her lifetime. Standing a few feet from the man, trying her best not to step upon or knock over any books or pile of it. "Mister Desparrow... you do realize it is past midnight. I do not know how urgent this is but clearly you did payed quite an expense to that courier to reach me."

Desparrow waved his hand over to the right which caused the floating book to hover over in the direction of a nearby table and with the lowering of his palm-down hand make it rest peacefully open to the page he was on. Gaze levelled to Ynhaldei now, a grin forming on his lips which although the corners of his mouth at the base of his snout curled it also caused his upper lip to fold up and reveal that entire row of teeth creating a bit of a strange sight. "Didn't cost too much, in comparison to what is necessary. Tell me have you any news? I do, I got in touch with the drow and I was offered a small group of specialists and some supplies. Not as much as I personally hoped for but if this plan is executed properly then we can certainly make them work. I must say that it will require some extra, more precise planning though. Not something that can't be accomplished."

Ynhaldei frowns a bit, as the looked at the man, though knowing that 'looking' is futile as she can't see, she can't help it as she has already conditioned herself with decades of training for mimicking such. He looked physically different... but his voice is still the same, maybe a form of his that she isn't aware of? Or a puppet perhaps? She has no idea. "Well... I already did my research but to be honest, Any task such as what you have in mind won't be as successful if you do not trust the people within your group. How can I rely to people to do this and that if I the probability of them succeeding is beyond my control? Something that I have no idea of. I need to know who this people are. Maybe a bit of background? or atleast tell me where they are and their names so I can ask them myself."

Desparrow stood up to move towards his larger hall table and gripped a scroll he had sitting there untouched only to unroll it and place weights in the corners; it was a map of Cenril. Ynhaldei had informed him that she knew the layout of the town but it was good to have something to visually look at and plan with. "Our companions? Emilia has offered a safehaven in the cliffside that could be used as refuge, I have Yukiko, she is a druid and a friend of mine. Skysong a dragon, sister of Yukiko, filled with good intent. Linn is a magic user and fighter like me that I have intention of fighting at my side. Lanara is a witch druid, just as Talyara though I haven't yet been in contact with her to get her on board. Vakko was going to be of assistance but sadly he has not been heard from. There are two girls that I have come across.. assassin types that I think could be of use but I have not yet figured them out completely to bother involving them." he sighed, that was the list of people so far that would help and althought it wasn't much it would have to be enough.

Ynhaldei blinks as the man pulled out a map and laid it out upon the table. Looking through it as she drew out one of hers, she removed her hat and pulled through it her version of the map, laying it side by side before saying, "I could go talk to your assassins if you want. But, are you sure these people are capable? The hardest part of my plans is blocking out a military garrison. You have told me that you have an army and will be assaulting from the front if I recall correctly... I was hoping that you have news about a separate assaulting force by the water however.." she scratched her head as she compares the map, hers has a bunch of drawings and lines on it, something that she worked on her own.

Desparrow hadn't spoken to Kreekitaka in a while and certainly needed to, he could provide the forces from the water if they were necessary. "I know a guy that might be able to help when it comes to the water, but otherwise it looks like we will have a single assaulting force, but I may have a remedy for that too soon." he was as a side project working on his pack, and gathering the remnants of his former Alpha's pack; Alareik and his lycans he had gathered for his assault on Cenril so long ago. What was left would have fled to the neighboring towns, maybe some of them still lingered in their native forms amongst the people of Cenril, who knew but he would have to find out. "You are welcome to meet with any of them, I tried to get us all together once but availability is just difficult, but I'll get a definitive plan together and from there organize the assault so that no matter when it happens we all have our role."

Ynhaldei nods, "Alright. I'll need a list for their names and probable locations then. If I got the time, I could talk to them about the plan too so everyone will get the idea of what I have in mind." she smiled as she turned to the maps. Unlike the man's detailed map of the town, Ynh's map has markings and even tunnels drawn out by hand and some notes left by the elf herself. Clearly she has planned on taking over this town at some point but was not able to make it into fruition. "So.. here's my plan. I would have really prefer if we all meet at the same time to get a better idea on what the rest of us thinks, maybe some options or ideas that I may have overlooked. So... here is the thing.. The very first part of the mission will be digging, this can be done as soon as everyone in the group approved of the plan but other than that, the assault has to happen under the moonlight to improve the chances of stealth. Your army however has to hide... maybe at Vailkrin, Gualon or the North Eastern part of the Sage forest, somewhere that the Cenril soldiers would not see. The mission will begin here... The Overlooking Gorge outside of Cenril walls. First things first, there is a tunnel nearby the entrance to Tristoth, the land of the drows. These tunnels are riddled with bug bears that even the drows themselves does not come near. I am sure a few people could easily take those out, after clearing the bears out we can use that tunnel and then we can dig through the earth horizontally until we reach the gorge. We'll be basically on the far depths of the gorge at this point and no one from the Cenril walls will see us. Next part of the mission is this..." pointing at the bath-house north west of Cenril. Frowning at the man, wondering if he is catching up as she explain.

Desparrow nodded, fully understanding her position and what her plan is. "I see, I can see your map here and your notes, the plan itself is making sense. Take more time but in the end it would be safer, which is certainly fine with me. I can keep my guys at bay, I have my pack in town but we could move at a last minute change and then when necessary could even teleport in where needed." he then took note of the bugbears and the tunnel to the city of Drow. That could come in handy later and some bugbears certainly wouldn't be of any challenge would they? "I can get together a list of people and where to find them usually so that you can meet them specifically. Beyond that, when you come to the bathhouse, what is the next part?"

Ynhaldei shook her head alittle, "Well if your people are really talented, maybe I can bring them down in the tunnels and gauge their prowess by killing the bears..." turning back to the map and said, "From there there will be a dig, diagonally from the bottom of the gorge upto the bath-house. Most of these digging would be done by my pet. A Desert Wyrm and it can go through earth and rocks with ease. However when we reached a certain point near the city, the last few meters has to be done by hand as a massive wyrm will soon become detected. Undernearth the city lies the sewer system. A simple one and I found a copy of it in the Cenril libraries... the legality of me.. acquiring such is... questionable." Smiling at him before she continues. Once underneath the bath-house, a group of... let's say four people. Preferably with long range weapons has to go into the bath-house itself and exit the building and hide in an alleyway somewhere. But we'll get back to that. Going into the sewers.." as she trail her finger from the bath-house into Beloy street before stopping before the church." Up to here. North of church is the garrison. The sewers here is too small for anyone to go through, obviously because a sewer will be a weakspot for a garrison wall. But we have to rig the road with explosives. A group can be left there to set up the bomb then a bit more forward upto here..." just one block east then one south from that space would be the bell tower of the church, something that big would need a sewer access at some point as it will intersect the foundation pillars. "This will be our sniping spot. The bell has to be disabled, the priests will be at their quarters south of the bell tower and the church itself will be empty. The church can be used as a sniping area to anyone who would leave the garrison. Someone has to take the priests as hostages however. From there a squad of two has to separate. Either through the tunnels or open road, it does not matter. One group has to take over the embassy by the south east and the other to take control of the mayor's home by the north east. If you have a team to assault by the water, they should come in by the south east and go to the market to take control of the weapon and armor shops to stop people from creating a militia. After that, the army can start. As the church bell will not make a noise, the garrison won't be alarmed. A soldier will be probably sent to manually rouse them, that's why I left four people in the alley. Eventually the garrison will become aware of the assault and trapped once we blow up the road. No siege weapon would reach the walls as the road is broken. if they insisted on crossing the broken road with troops, we can demolish the tower to cause it to tip diagonally and destroy the road even further. The riskiest part of this is the people of the church. As the siege weapons has no place to go, they'll probably try to level down the church. Or we can use the priests as meat shields.. Hopefully their morals hold."

Desparrow remained silent throughout the entire explanation of her plan, even when there might be a change that had to be made in order to make it more feasible if necessary when it came down to supplies and time. He absorbed every bit of information she fed him and when she was done he took a moment to let it all soak in. "Alright. Well I can see about getting more men to help, if necessary we can see what happens but if it comes down to it we might need to change a few things a little. I haven't the slightest idea where we are going to get explosives, I mean I could probably go to a library, concoct a spell myself that would do the same thing but the physical item would be a bit harder to get hands on. Not so easy to come by. I can try but if we can't get our hands on it then we will have to find another way. Not that it isn't impossible. Also if we can't get an assault from the water, the south east, perhaps something from directly above the city.. Dragons. Could be managed, I am not sure on that as of right yet but I do have one dragon on our side, perhaps there is another that could be convinced to assist. Ugh. I shouldn't be talking in IFs. With what I have gathered right now, we don't have the manpower to attack from the water, and I don't have explosives on hand but like I said a spell could be a fitting replacement if necessary. If things change though we can account for those things."

Ynhaldei simply comments. "If you have crates, you can load up people in that and place it into the city market. Hopefully your dragon won't get shot down and drop those poor people in the box." She scratches her head. "Yea... explosives are a bit hard to come by recently.. something powerful enough to destroy the road will create enough shockwaves to weaken the tower's foundation as it is nearby. Making the tipping of the tower an easier task than the bombing on the road itself." scratching her head alittle. "How would you lead the army if you are with us in the sewers?"

Desparrow considered the crate option but would leave it at that, stowed away in the back of his mind for later. "If we sacrifice the tower, I can create a spell that will shake the foundations alone and cause it to topple. When it comes to leading the others though.. That could be a bit more difficult. A stand in for my pack would not be suitable for them, they wouldnt accept orders from anyone but myself and my Beta and she is just a wolf. Intelligent but directions can be difficult to convey if they are complex. I might have to head my group, and swap out my spot for someone else to help you. If necessary. Beyond that we are certainly taking a risk doing this."

Ynhaldei nodded. "This is why I opted for gunpowder... although its expensive and hard to come by... all it needs is a spark. Not a whole person." crossing her arms before her as she said, "Well that is my plan. If you want anything changed, just tell. I would speak to the rest of these people in hopes to get their ideas as well and adjust the plan depending on which ideas makes most sense." scratching her head alittle as she wait for the man to decide or suggest anything.

Desparrow nodded, "Your plan is sound, we just have to make some adjustment to accomodate what we have available right now, so that we don't have to worry about coming up short and then if we acquire it along the way can make changes. Hoping for things we may not get though isn't the best way to be doing this so for right now let's assume we don't get explosives and must compensate using magic of some sort. Perhaps even my son could be of use in that manner, or I could get Pilar to assist. Dangerous but if necessary we will make due."

Ynhaldei nods and sighs, checking the time as it was already getting to morning. "Well there goes my evening..." she smiled at the man as she extends her hand toward him, waiting for her 'list' as she said, "I do hope you have something in mind about that bomb then." already wanting to leave, maybe to either sleep, drink, or meet those other people. Either way, it was really... late? early? for her.

Desparrow shrugged, "I'll come up with something Ynhaldein, in the mean time while I do that I'll get a letter to you of names and places to look for the people you want to meet up with. Gotta get this organized so that we can finish this, and take the city."
