RP:Desparrow Meets Ynhaldei

From HollowWiki

Desparrow had just come to the spring this morning to rejuvenate. Been a long night. In nearly full armor, helm in the crook of his elbow he was accompanied by a large mana-gorged timberwolf that stood on all fours higher than the half-drow sorcerer's waist. Although a master of magic he certainly appeared more of the warrior type with his whole suit of best armor on. Stepping to the spring he kneeled and scooped some water to scrub his face with gauntleted hands. Yeah it hurt but any minor abrasions and cuts began to heal seconds after they were inflicted.

Ynhaldei was up in her tree, normally she would be sleeping as she had been busy the night before but she can't seem to get herself any sleep after what she saw. She was drinking, in a party by the north... not the best one she came to by the way. Could use a bit more touch of entertainment for her own taste. She sighs and heard someone approaching. She didn't bother to look as she try to remember what happened. There was a fight... A man was there, he is clearly possessed by some demon or spell, Though she knew this person... not the brightest bulb of them all, she wondered what exactly happened to him and how to save him if that is the case. She clears her throat as she finally turned from her little nest above the trees and looked around. Finally finding a different man. Expecting someone else perhaps? Then again she suddenly called out. "I would suggest not to disturb the water." Its the nymphs... they seem to make every bit of noises when someone gets near their water, making it hard for her to sleep.

Desparrow had actually come from that party. It was ridiculous. Orikahn and a lich. Hildegarde was dead now. Good riddance. It was one enemy he wanted to end himself so sure the pleasure was robbed from him but it was a means to an end. So long as there was some suffering. He didn't actually fight however, in fact he was asleep through the whole thing. His left ear which had the top half severed during a fight twitched when he heard that voice. A deep inhale later and he caught the various scents of the area but he still couldn't specifically pinpoint the place where the noise had come from. "My apologies. Was just going to wash myself. Been a long night after all." Staying where he was he scanned the trees hoping that this other would reveal themselves.

Ynhaldei exhaled loudly as she said, "Someone I knew got attacked in that party, I didn't exactly understood what was happening so I merely watched at first, but seeing someone getting struck for a reason you one could not comprehend, I had to leave... Care to share any details that happened afterwards?" she soon moved her arm, exposing it out of her nest and started waving, hoping the man would see where she is.

Desparrow spotted that bit of movement and was shortly at the base of that tree staring up with his beta at his side. "The dragon known as hilde is dead. Ran through by the priestess. Something about the lich was a part of her." he shrugged, not entirely sure what happened as he only woke up towards the end. He would have ended her if need be. "I don't know much, wasn't my concern anyways." he chuckled, thinking about all the other things he had to worry about.

Ynhaldei frowns a bit as she said, "I think that's a bit strange... that lady has quite a reputation to be scary. Its either you are lying... then again you would gain nothing to do so. Hmm, I believe that she is still alive, scheming something, faking her death or to be revived in the future. Lady Hildegarde isn't a foe that someone can simply 'stab'." She moved herself toward the edge of the nest and looked down to him. "And what about the possessed Man? any news on that?"

Desparrow indeed had nothing to gain from lying. He didn't see the fact that the priestess used a holy blade of searing power to rip into the woman's chest and pierce her heart form the back so he couldn't convey that fact. "The cat was being taken away. Heard he was an excellent fighter. Thought I could break him out an recruit him.. Too many guards though. No way I could have gotten him out. Oh well. Guess I'll look elsewhere for talent." Since he didn't know the value of Orikahn, it wasn't exactly a loss. Just meant he was going to be needing other allies.

Ynhaldei nods, "Well if you aren't going to... I'll break him out myself. Stretching her arms before finally leaving her man made nest, or elf made. It is riddled with pelts and pillows, she put on the waterproof veil upon it before finally jumping down to the ground to meet the man. Giving him a good look to the man as she said, "I believe you were late. I did not see you when I was there."

Desparrow was indeed late. "Well I didn't say I didn't want to. There are a lot of guards though. I'm not saying I'm not up for a challenge either. I think he would be good for my plans." When she came down he offered a gauntleted hand. "Nice to make your acquaintance Miss? I'm Des. Serpent of Destruction." his family given title. "Master sorcerer."

Ynhaldei chuckles quietly. "What I am hearing is laziness and reasons." She stared at him.. well technically she can't see, but she moved her eye toward the general direction of his voice, which basically looking upon his face. Taking off her top hat first, shaking his hand then bowing lightly to him. "Miss Yin. Circus Master of the Travelling Mischief. Magician and Tactician."

Desparrow rose a brow. Was she blind? He didn't know. Her introduction was interesting as well. "Miss Yin, again a pleasure to make your acquaintance. I'm just saying. Heavily fortified. I'm one man. And that priestess has a very special armor being made for me. I wouldn't want to piss her off and not get it. After I receive it though..."

Ynhaldei sits down on the patch of grass underneath the tree and rests her back against the bark. "Well you wanted him out, confronting your priestess might be a possibility if we do it just the two of us. Either you hire more men for the stealthy approach or attack with an army."

Desparrow furrowed his brows, forehead creasing, "True. I know a stealthy fella. I don't know how much help he would be. Also I have plans for him elsewhere and I would rather not lose him to a failed mission." he allowed himself to sit across from her, cerulean gaze moving across her form as he took in the details completely of the other.

Ynhaldei simply closed her eyes for now as she hasn't have any slept yet. yawning quietly as she said, "What exactly do you plan Mr. Des?" curious but not curious enough. She barely know the person, maybe that's why she doesn't care. "I'm just saying... if Hildegarde is dead, then Frostmaw barely have a working leadership.. making any 'mischief' alot easier to pull off."

Desparrow was certainly far more interested in his own plans than a mission in frostmaw. "I want cenril. HOever with the constantly warring factions of the guard and the criminal organizations it'd be a difficult process to go the legally make a political campaign. I'd rather rule by force.. And I want to turn the city into a lycanthrope army of my own personal use."

Ynhaldei blinks a couple of times as she said. "Will you rescue Orikahn if I help you with that?" smiling as she said, "You see... I do own a circus... we specializes on... doing things of... questionable legality. We lay down distractions and diversions while the rest of the circus wanders about the city... taking what isn't nailed down." she smiles before she continue. "I am a tactician, capturing towns and cities are one of the many words written in my resume. I could help you on taking Cenril for yourself."

Desparrow nodded, "I will help you do anything. Name the price. With the right crew we could rescue Orikahn if that is his name first. If it is safer to do it later. I don't know what his punishment is or if he'll be spared execution. I don't know." all the same he had a wide grin on his face when she mentioned her skills and resources, and what she could do for him to help with cenril. "I however do accept the offer."

Ynhaldei smiles. "Well to be honest with you, at the moment I am quite contented with what I have. Though some amount coin would never hurt anyone. However, as I do need someone saved, I would not provide a preference of amount. Pay me with what you think would fit."

Desparrow had money, and if it wasn't enough he'd get more, that wasn't a problem. "Gold is what you seek. Well that is the fairest trade that could be made I suppose. I have acquired my own fortune with the work I've done, the amassment of magical knowledge and gold over time. Resources can be expensive. I would defer to you an amount to be honest. I've never been good at judging the effort of others and compensating them for it." The lycan shrugged, knowing that this woman could be invaluable, in fact probably a crucial piece of his plan in work.

Ynhaldei slowly stood up from where she is seated, dusting off the dirt off her clothes first before saying. "I know Cenril... I 'may' have attempted something with the city before, though it never came into fruition. I still hold the knowledge that I gathered upon such attempt." she clears her throat and starts to walk around a bit. "I do not know what you can offer just yet, that is why I stick to something a bit more simple. Money. However, you do not need to pay me right away, even 'after' our little venture or alot of 'after' even, I don't mind. A few days, weeks, months is a mere blink in an elves' life. I can wait."

Desparrow only knew of his deceased alpha that had tried something on cenril. Then the head of the guard beheaded him. Good riddance, allowed Des to take lead as the alpha. "I see. Interesting, and surely we can come up with something and I'll certainly pay you back." He looked to the sky, the morning crisp yet comfortable. "What is your desire with the cat?"

Ynhaldei simply answered. "He is my partner in crime." She looked upon the the man ans said, "Actually, its been a while since I last saw him... unless ofcourse you would count the one with him crashing in the party, I wanted to know what happened to him. Knowing him... he would not do such.. I'm curious, I am confused and need answers. And again, you don't need to pay me, besides if you keep asking me favors, they can easily stack up so I can ask for something greater."

Desparrow moved into a crouch, looking up at the woman with those stormy blue eyes of his. "Interesting, so you are not unaccustomed to what would be considered evil by others. I'm used to it. As for payment, well if you are that valuable to me then I don't see why you can't accrue a balance."

Ynhaldei can't help but laugh at the man's words. "Evil? There is no such thing." She smiles but continues, "But who am I... I am a savage. A lady who has lived for centuries, watched entire civilizations live and perish as it was tomorrow and yet still could not grasp the idea of 'Good and Evil'." she looked down to him and said, "Whatever you are planning with the city is not my concern, I help you, you help me. I would not hold no loyalty to you to begin with ofcourse, But as you mentioned. You have to be valuable to me aswell. For me to even bother."

Desparrow did certainly believe in good and evil, however it did come down to the nature of a person in the end and could one truly blame someone for only doing as nature bid them to do? "I do not ask for loyalty, however should we partake in a conquest, I certainly would rather not have one turn on me at a critical point. Not saying you wouldn't but then again. Just business."

Ynhaldei nods. "I may be a savage but I am no murderer, unless my hands are forced, I would prefer not to kill anyone. You see... death is... is just too quick, Even the slowest and most agonizing torture you can ever think of would end in death all the same. But, if one attacks in a different angle, suffering is alot more satisfying. With that said, I'm quite sure you would be smart enough to realize it if ever I betray you, I mean.. who in the right mind would enjoy continue suffering if someone.. of your physical and magical footing can easily end my life?"

Desparrow didn't have a clue what this woman was capable of and yet she assumed he was capable of doing more than just a bit of harm to her. In fact kill her. He thought he could too but didn't like to jump to conclusions. "I see, So your goal is the suffering of others. Well I'm sure in our attack many would die. However so many more would live but they'd live a life like mine. A creature of the night, howling at the moon whose radiance we long for so desperately. Suffering is something that can be accomplished." he chuckled as he stood, "There is some time yet before I'll be ready to take on cenril. Just a matter of time."

Ynhaldei shook her head, "You misunderstood Mr. Des, I do not wish for anyone's suffering. I merely prefer causing suffering if a person deserves it. I am a savage, a woman of nature. I do whatever I want because I want it. Not because everybody else thinks its preferable. That is the illusion of 'good' and 'evil' a set of quality that aims for one thing only. The continuity of the community. That is not 'good' in any way, living in such way is a lie." She ponders for a sec before she said. "My goal for the moment is for the escape of Orikahn, next one would be a teacher of magic but other than that, anything worthy enough to waste my time with."

Desparrow nodded. "I see. Well then. I think I had best be going. You seem tired and I have more preparations to make. It will be a bit yet before the assault but I expect it to be in the next month or so. I can expect your aid in my venture, if so you can expect my aid in whatever your goals are. We should be a formidable team, with the others that I have joining the cause. And more that I still hope to recruit. In the end we should have everything we could possibly need to succeed agianst whatever adversary we may come across." Turning to walk away he paused to mention one more thing. "Should you feel you need anything for yourself that you would rather not bother will getting, I suppose I could work on getting any manner of supplies."

Ynhaldei waves at the man as he seems to be leaving. "If you want Cenril, you'll need an army to get through the front walls. The beach side of the city is less protected but its streets are filled with gangs to match. I would suggest yourself to their good side before attacking the city. An assault from the sea may also be an option.. otherwise. I might need some gunpowder."

Desparrow wanted to avoid politics, for he wasn't the right type of man for that job but if it was necessary he knew just the man to find a scandal he could exploit for a persuasive edge with the mayor. "Alright. Gunpowder. Also I'll work on what you suggested."

Ynhaldei simply smiles and sits back down to her tree, quietly closing her eyes as she rests her back to its bark, quietly slipping into the world of dreams.
