RP:Desparrow's Experiment Xzavior: Progress

From HollowWiki

Ryder Sanctuary

Desparrow had moved a small table big enough for four into the hall, two books stacked closed, and another open that he was writing in. He had needed to plan another meeting with Xzavior, to record progress and any interesting changes that might be going on with the naga's body. For a changeling he wasn't sure how it could affect a body that wasn't static in its form. All manner of things could happen. Still it was at the time he should be able to record the composition of the male before any changes occurred.

Xzavior had thought to make a visit to Desparrow's after failing to see him for a few good nights. He himself wanted to know if anything was going on with the whole mutation thing. Mutation didn't run right in his mind, magical anomaly that sounds about right. Giving a quick knock on the door he opened it up to see the table, "Expecting company Master?"

Desparrow shook his head slowly, turning his gaze to view Xzavior, "Not at all, I was acutally going to go see you. I think there is a bit of things we can do here. You are my first project so I have every intention of paying close attention. Need to do this carefully and hopefully controlled so that you are a viable specimen, and don't become a monster." he had every worry that he might become something terrifying, powerful, out of control. He didn't share these by manner of word or his body language. "Please make yourself comfortable."

Xzavior went to take a seat and as he did he looked at him with a curious look, "First huh? So there are others who were looking for power too?" Well who wasn't. Everyone wanted something, so why not go to a most likely psychotic wolf in hopes for strength. At the mention of being made a monster he frowned, "No, I'd rather not turn into a full on monster. I have promises I have to keep and that would force someone I hold dear to do something that they might not be able to do."

Desparrow nodded, a maid coming by with tea and some sweet dipping biscuits freshly baked, leaving the platter on the table. "Of course I understand your concern, that's why we are going to do this slowly, the right way. Although I'd love to turn you into a freak and see how much destructive power you can grow as quickly as possible that isn't what I have planned. No we are going to try and -control- your mutation." he chuckled, "And if that dear someone had to put you down, well they wouldn't be able to." he then placed both the books out for the covers to be read by Xzavior. They both had a title burned into the leather, "Ethermorph; a word I made up that will record all of the magical changes that we will find.." and then the other book, "Biomorph, magically triggered physical mutations."

Xzavior took the offered tea with a chuckle, "Oh I'm sure they'd find a way. I'd expect nothing less from them." He looked at each of the books quickly leafing through the black pages, "So how much control would you say you have over these mutations? Because anything magical I can deal with, if it is physical and it sticks out like a third arm I think I might have a problem."

Desparrow laughs, "You are a shapeshifter, personally I think anything physical would be more like biological shifts that you could control. I hope. That is my theory, if you were say a human.. then if you changed you would.. well be stuck with it. Also I'm not thinking on terms of a third arm. We are talking much more powerful. Heh heh." he had a vision in his mind but it wasn't clear. Still he stepped up from his seat, walked off further down the hall and grabbed from one of the rooms a stand that had a crystal at the base of the shelf. Bringing it to the center of the hall he then held out his hand and from his palm twin eldritch ribbons ripped into his floor carving out a spell circle amidst the tiles. It filled with the same green light that was exuded when pressure was applied to any part of the floor. Then blasting runes into the floor these too filled with the ambient magic and became a circle of sealing and magical focus. "Xzavior, if you would please.. step into my circle." The lycanthrope walked over to his table and grabbed the book he had been writing in and then placed it open to blank pages on the stand. Tapping the crystal the stand activated and projected a holo-image of the pages into the air but several dozen times the normal size, much like a projector screen for movies.

Xzavior could only frown to that, "So what you are telling me is that if I shifted I could possibly end up stuck a human? You know that will really mess with my fighting style right?" Though it did peak his interest at the thought of something greater, "Muscle growth would also be unappealing to me, though muscle enhancement is a different manner." He sat back as Desparrow walked out of the room and gave him a questioning look as he prepared everything, when Des was finished Xzavior stood up and made his way over to the circle with a nod, "So what are you doing this time?"

Desparrow smiled. "If there is anything that is completely bad, we can remove it. It is a result of magic that originates from me, it is under my control. I believe i should be able to remove it. Though what we are doing now is simply going to transfer what you look like inside right now." it was hard to explain molecular composition when the idea didn't really make sense to Desparrow himself. "What i mean is your base make, what you are at the smallest component. My magic will let me see down to that level, and we will be able to notice the slightest of changes." He stepped out of the ring and then gave the slightest of tugs at the magic within Xzavior. "It will respond to me, but to see it we need to pull just a bit out. It will hurt, but only a little." he then gave a much larger tug and if Xzavior didn't fight it, for it was a part of him now too and he had some will over it, a ribbon of ether would exit the naga's body.

Xzavior gave a nod and a deep breath as Desparrow stepped out of the ring, as he felt the tug he gasped a little bit as it felt as though he was being pulled out of his body but held it the second time. As the ether came out he smiled a bit and lazily pointed at it, "So that's a small bit of me that'll be showing my progress."

Desparrow grinned, watching the ribbon flow out with nearly no struggle. It was beautiful, though it looked just the same as his own still it was encoded with everything that was Xzavior, cells that held all the information to what he was. Taking a quill the ribbon filled it like it was ink and began inscribing into the blank book a picuture of Xzavior which was then projected via the stand's enchantment. They would see together everything he was, and as of right now everything looked normal. "Its perfect. We can look at any part of you and see you at a cellular level. Basically what i mean is as small as a single piece of blood. For a single drop of blood contains millions of pieces.. That is how small we can go." Des looked at the diagram when it was finished, marvelling at its beauty. "What do you think?"

Xzavior stared at it wide eyed as he explained it to him, "Right now it's awe inducing, personally this is probably the most interesting thing I have ever seen and professionally I think this could do a lot of good in the medical field." He gave himself a quick look over and with a small chuckle said, "Don't look any different as it seems right now. But with time right?"

Desparrow laughed, "Yeah definitely. If studied further it could certainly be used medically. Someone whom has skills like mine could cure diseases by ripping them from the structure of the person, to great pain but I'm sure bones could be repaired, so on so forth. Or simply in the study of organisms that aren't conventional we could look at how certain things affect various races." The stand generated a second projector field and on it a humanoid form of the naga was brougth into view. "Interesting."

Xzavior checked out the second projection as it was brought up, "Curing something that otherwise would be incurable is worth the pain in my eyes." When Des made the comment he ran his view over it again, "Interesting? How so?"

Desparrow shrugged, "True, and its interesting that it bothered to recognize your alternate form." he turned to the naga, a smile on his lips and a bit of a crazy look in his eyes, "So tell me what do -you- think you want out of this?"

Xzavior returned the shrug with his own, "I want to be able to use any form of magic with little effort. Mainly just so I know how to defend myself against it though having a new form of fighting can be very useful. I'm not looking for a lot of physical prowess, I've got that down, the only thing that really surpasses me are giants and dragons. But why wouldn't it recognize my human form? I use it a fair bit."

Desparrow couldn't answer the question on why it would recognize the human form. For a shapeshifter he figured it would only recognize the form of origin. "Honestly I don't know. As for magical prowess we will certainly see what can happen. I can't guarantee -only- magical advancements, but any sort of physical abnormalities we can certainly look at removing if they aren't to your liking."

Xzavior nodded, "Sounds like a fair deal. A bit disconcerting that we don't know what's going on there but I'm sure nothing terrible could happen given that my original form is still there."

Desparrow released the magic that was in his circle, but if he wanted the circle to go away he'd have to get the tiles actually replaced. That would be a pain, so for now it would be a permanent thing. "True, but remember, this is a new study of magic. We are breaking down walls that people may have never thought possible except in necromancy. Where corpses could be bound together, we are making you into something unprecedented."

Xzavior gave Desparrow a smirk and stepped out of the circle to return to his tea. with a sip he said, "New and different is what I've been from the beginning. Why not make every aspect different eh? I consider myself a small bit of a researcher myself so if I have to I will do whatever I need to get information." He looked back to Desparrow, "Though you didn't answer an earlier question of mine, is there another or so like me?"

Desparrow walked over to the book and closed it which deactivated the stand, the projection shrinking into a beam and slipping back into the crystal before its light faded away. "We can make some things happen, and once I get a better idea of how things are going to work, I can very well force a mutation, if necessary. As for another like you, there is none. You are my first. Not saying I don't hope for more though."

Xzavior chuckled at the thought, "Having a bunch of test subjects that owe you for this has benefits doesn't it?" As he finished off his tea he set the cup aside and took a stand, "So is that all you needed of me for today?"

Desparrow nodded, taking a sweet biscuit from the platter on the table and dipping it in the tea before taking a bite, "Yeah. I have a fight thursday night, for the tournament in Frostmaw. Preparing for that. That's all tonight Xzavior. We are making history, you should be more excited."

Xzavior shrugged, "I'll be more excited when this shows results. For now it is an interesting concept." When Des mentioned the tournament he chuckled, "I'll be in that too, though I doubt it will be in Frostmaw. I beat the s*** out of some giants and got myself kicked out." Though he didn't wait for his reaction, he turned and went to leave with a wave of his hand, "I'll see you later then, Master. Hopefully by then something interesting will have happened."

Desparrow nodded. "I'll see you later Xzavior!"
