Summary: Irenic is surprised Eloni even showed up.

Schezerade Tavern

The first thought running through one’s head upon entering this tavern is that it isn’t your typical watering hole. It’s constructed of polished white stone, brightly illuminated by golden chandeliers and torches, along with a cosy fire located at the southern side of the circular building. The very centre of the building is where the bar is located, where a pair of lovely twin avian women take orders and hand out drinks in gold cups. There is plenty of places to sit other than at the central bar as well; cushion-topped marble chairs fastened to the floor are placed around a matching marble table, also attached to the floor so it appears like both floor and tables were hewn from the same piece of marble. Flowers of every type and colour decorate the majority of the tavern as well, giving the ambiance to the building one of comfort and lavishness. You can almost hear the sounds of birds tweeting through the large, open windows, which let in a gentle breeze to only add more to the tavern’s relaxing feel.

Eloni | The air in the tavern this afternoon is a somber one, a slow evening crowd and none even getting too boisterous. Though to be fair this, place was never as lively as the taverns of the lower cities. The twins would have found the day quite tiresome if they hadn't been huddled together whispering and staying glances to the figure standing before the fireplace. The figure belonging to the knight that was no stranger to the place, what caused the gossip was the state of the knight. Fire light danced across the soft ebony silks of the dress, catching the inset jewels and setting them to twinkling. The dress the knight wore looked more like the avian had reached into the night sky and draped it around her curvy form. Her long silky snowy white wings fluffed and fidgeted, she was nervous any and all would be able to see. The back of the immaculate gown was open all the way down the dimples of the small of her back, the neckline dipping down to a sharp v mid chest. She was not used to showing this much skin. She seemed out of place and greatly wanting her armor. Hands clutched tightly together and pressed against her stomach as she steadied her breathing. Pools of molten gold closing slowly as she calms to find her center, why was she this nervous, it's not like she hasn't met with this man several times before. But this time was different, but she had trouble figuring why. The flower he had left with her was tucked into the tight bun that she had made from her thick mane of white and royal purple hair. The peddles of the dark flower contrasting well with her hair and looking like a small black crown. "I'm going to hit him for making me this way..." she grumbled, the heel of her boots clicking softly off the hard marble as she started the pace back and forth.

Irenic’s memory has been questionable at best, but all he knew was that he penciled in his ledger that he was supposed to be here at the fountain at this time for some reason. He sat for a while at the fountain across the street and apparently going unnoticed when he saw a tall and beautiful woman saunter into the Tavern. It slowly comes back to him when the anticipation hits and a subtle smirk comes over his scarred lips. He allows her to wait a moment as he finishes his cigarette and their moments slowly puzzle together. He was dressed in all black as usual but he had the sleeves of his black button down shirt rolled up to just passed his elbow in showing of strong tawny and tattooed arms. His face clean shaven, black boots shined and he even adorned a dark emerald vest. His hand dipped into the water of the fountain of wishes so he can slick back the dusky graying hair on the top of his head as he was keeping the sides shaven close, but the top long. The click of his boots bring him to the establishment door as he figured that ten minutes was a long enough wait, ‘has she ever waited for anything?’ He wonders while slipping the narrow matte black tie up some more when mismatched eyes set on her. It was easier to hold his cool when looking at the sight of her since he was able to drool and gawk without her noticing outside. All that he offered was a subtly impressed smirk and elongated pointed pierced ears pick up the swooning sounds of the twins before one of them rushed over to ask where they will be sitting which only needed a point at a two seater near the fire. Irenic knows how to be a gentleman, but he also knows which charms work on certain women. He pulls her chair out, but leaves it for her to pull in when he stalks around the opposite side of the table to await her to sit.

Eloni didn't turn as the door opened shortly after her own entry, writing it off as someone staggering in or out. But the sounds of swooning from the twins caused a smirk to cross those full lips. Turning from the fire as the seat was pulled for her she finally opened her eyes readying a rebuke for making her wait, but she froze in place as golden pools settled on the man. Slowly those orbs drank in the sight of him when she hardly felt it but her cheeks grew flushed and her wings shifted slightly and started to preen for him. Mouth, which had opened to chastise slowly closed, had he always looked such? Quickly she looked away. Her wings folding tightly against her back as if embarrassed for their actions. "I-It's about time... I'm not used to waiting." Eyes settling on the table as she moved to her drawn out seat. Hands running along her sides she smoothed her dress before pouring herself into the seat. Wings shifting a bit behind her, a deliberate act to keep them from filling out for him. "That's rude..." Her eyes flick up to steal a look at him. "S-so rude..." Her voice hardly more than a whisper. "So what do you wish to do than... I did as you asked" Eyes focusing with intensity upon a single spot on the table. To worried that looking at him would cause another embarrassing verbal stumble.

Irenic being very calm cool and collected he easily commanded in his Veretian tongue, “you did and very well. Now we order food.” He passes one of the fancy parchment menus across the table to her before he points in his own menu to a twin for them to bring the best Avian champagne. One twin waved to the other and she brought over a bucket holding ice, chilled champagne and two gold and crystal flute glasses then she pours them drinks and plops a strawberry in the glasses. Irenic reached into the inner pocket of his vest to procure his narrow square spectacles so he may better read the menu before him. He blatantly stole lingering glances at Eloni and her wings as he can tell she's entirely out of her element. He motions to the twins to give them a moment so they may better decide what they want to dine on. Posture of perfection as mismatched eyes study the words on the parchment for a moment before he offers, “I never know what to order on these dates. Should it be light for later activities? Or should I show off my pocket?” He tasks with his tongue while subtly shaking his head at his options and cementing the fact that this is, indeed, a date. He asks her when mismatched eyes lock to her molten ones over the silver rim of his glasses, “what are you getting?”

Eloni couldn't help but show a little more crimson as he started to speak, though what he said was common words the language was so sensual she just couldn't help herself. Swallowing hard she tried her best to dodge his gaze. Almost to the point of hiding behind her menu, almost. As the champagne was poured she took a deep steadying breath and finally looked up with his question. She had hidden well the subtle twitch when he used the word date, but his boating did temper it slightly. "I don't know yet..." Her eyes met his and she gave a soft eep sound. "V-venison... I would like the venison." She tucked her lip between her teeth and bit down softly. She is looking the fool. How dare he put her in such a state. Remember it for later, and give him a punch. Her eyes drop down to her menu again as if studying a foreign language, "unless it's to much for your purse." A weak barb she knows but it's what she could manage. Sliding the menu to the side the knight would take up her glass or champagne and start to roll it between her slender fingers to hide her fidgeting. "You never showed this... i-interest before... why now?" She peeks at him over the rim of her ornate cup as she sipped some of the bubbly.

Irenic took her menu from her before she had a chance to set it down as he closed his own menu when one of the twins came to check up on their status, gesturing to the main dishes they chose, “the gorgeous woman here will have the venison and for me the lamb chop medallion in the balsamic vinaigrette. Merci,” he hands the menus to the twin before adding, “and dessert please.” She probably only understood the word dessert. Once they were alone again Irenic took his spectacles off and placed them back where they were. Taking up his champagne and holding it out to her for a little cheers, “to - why not now.” It was more a statement than a question to her question. He sips generously from his flute before setting it down and sitting back to take the sight of her in without her hiding behind things, “that day at the beach… It seemed to mean more to you than I thought it would when you and I laid Quizzical to rest.” He changes the subject from them while they wait on their food, but obviously leaves out the fact that Valrae was also there because he's forgotten she was there at all. What a great conversation piece, dead kids! Irenic is quite unusual, but it all has a point as it seems they have more in common than he originally thought.

Eloni tried to hold onto her menu in vain as he pulled it away and placed the orders. She gave a soft huff as a deep breath was drawn in and a great deal of effort was put to calming herself. His change of topic helped cast a somber mood over her as her shoulders stooped ever so slightly. "A bleak day in my career as a knight." She muttered as she rolled the flute between her fingers once more before finally placing it back atop the table. Looking to him for the first time tonight without turning into a blushing fidgeting mess. She heaves a soft sigh as, " his name was Bremen, a young squire in my charge. Not my first squire, but my last. We were charged to apprehend a rogue wizard along with two other knights and one other squire." Her eyes grew sad then as the memories play out. "Our intelligence on the wizard was not complete it turned out, he was much stronger than we prepared for..." Her hands folded atop her lap as she eased back and looked to him. "We tracked him to a squat little tower and moved on him. I know not the magic he used, but when I awoke I was outside the tower. I had been blasted through a window. My wings and my left arm were broken though I made it back into the tower to the second level where we had chased him, but he was gone. The two knights that had come with me where only identifiable from the remnants of their armor. Bremen and the other squire where on the far side of the room. Most of their bodies burnt, they didn't die in the blast, but they did shortly thereafter due to shock just before the support team arrived. I was the only one to survive and that wasn’t in pieces." Her hand slid to grip at her left wrist. "He was asking for his mother as the light left his eyes..." Her own eyes where glazed slightly, looking more in the past now than in the present.

Irenic listened intently with a sort of focus she’s probably never seen from him before while he was refilling her drink with the champagne that was left at their table. He watched her body language as he let her story settle in and even extended one of his hands to attempt to rest on her own before she pulled away. Cooly he shifted his hand’s attention to his own glass and sipped from it, but he didn’t let an awkward silence sully their mood. “As a fellow knight… I understand entirely,” he silently recalls a few squires under him that perished in adventure and battle. “I can’t do anything but blame myself even though I wasn’t the person to put them in that situation. They chose to follow us, but we still carry the burdens as if we chose for them,” there was purpose in his gruff timbre and a look mirroring her own in his eyes. A distraction as he glances at what seems like nothing, but he’s gotten pretty good at hiding the fact that he wasn’t always alone sometimes and that they are not alone now. He looks as if he’s listening to something else for a hiccup of a moment right before he continues their conversation, “it’s a phantom pain that we don’t know how to make go away…. Quizzical wasn’t a squire and he didn’t even know much about the real me. He was just an orphan boy who reminded me a lot of myself… Except I was much angrier.” A ghost of a smirk came over him as the last part was intended to lighten their mood because ‘Irenic? Angry? Nooooo. Really?’ This spirit is becoming a little harder to ignore at this point and he softly cleared his throat before leaning towards Eloni over their intimate table with interest, “I’m sorry for prying, but I think on these things myself all of the time. If there was one last thing you could say to this Bremen Wallen fella… What would it be, Eloni?” There was still an air of allure or flirtation about him in this seriousness, but it would be odd he knew a last name without her saying it first.

Eloni had not meant to pull away when the hand wash rested reassuringly upon her, just reflex. She looked to him apologetically as she thanks him then took a deep drink from her glass before setting it atop the table thinking to herself. "I guess it would be to apologize, apologize for not pressing for more information. For not holding him back. For not drumming him out of the order before any of this... he was only there for a bit of recognition during his mandatory military service." A smile played across her full lips slowly as a soft laugh manages to slip forth during the dower topic. "The fool wanted to be a sculptor, he was actually pretty good. I snuck looks at the works he thought he was hiding from me." She sighed softly. "And apologize from not keeping him safe so he could become what he wished.” Seeming to calm slightly she pressed the rim of her glass to her lips again and started to take a sip but stopped suddenly. Her eyes flared wide as she slammed the glass down, near shattering it. "How did you know.." she growled as she was up from her seat and before him. In the fluttering beat of an emotional avians heart. He would feel the cool razor kiss of a dagger pressing to his neck, a flick away from severing his artery and sending him to the next life. "How did you know his name..." molten orbs narrowing dangerously. His next words would determine just how the evening would end. And if the woman would have to find a new dress or not.

Irenic didn't flinch even though he didn't expect such a reaction from her. Ever since Irenic died or was near death before he's been able to hear or see ghosts and as time goes on they become more real to him. Lately he's been accepting it a bit more as he was thinking before that he was just slowly going insane, but at this point it doesn't really matter. His mismatched gaze shifts from looking up at her to something beside the table even though there was nothing there. Dare he not move as he presses on making eye contact with Eloni, “he never wanted to show you because he felt he couldn't catch your beauty the way it deserved in the way that you are gorgeous yet strong…” He was quiet again as if listening to something, “Bremen wants you to know that he will always be your seagull. He admired you, but he doesn't want you to blame yourself anymore. He wants you to heal and move past it in order to be happy again.” Meaningful sentiments coming from such a gruff tone could be off putting especially from a guy like Irenic, but he was just trying to help the spirit out as they can get rather bothersome when you are trying to have an intimate date.

Eloni didn't known what she was doing. It was on a defensive impulse she had pressed the dagger on him. The memories and feelings she had buried for so long had come back again. Tears rimmed her eyes as she was confused and didn't know really what's was going on anymore. But she snapped out of her historical haze as he uttered the word seagull. She never told anyone she called him that. It was the little name meant to haze him but he adapted to it so well it became a pet name for him. "... who... who told you that." The dagger trembled and drew away from his neck and clattered loudly on the floor. She stumbled back a few steps before dropping to her knees. "N-no one knew...." she looked to the man blankly, could he see the boy's spirit? Snowy white wings drooped down to cover her like the softest of blankets. The tears she had fought off started to pool before falling freely. She slowly looked to where his two tone eyes kept focusing, but she couldn't see the boy's spirit but with the intimate details she could have little doubt. "A-alright... I'll try to stop punishing myself for it...." she sniffles softly. "Make a woman cry on a first date... stab you.." Her voice was soft, almost unable to be heard as she makes her little threat.

Irenic couldn't let her just fall to the floor and he scoots the dagger away from them while standing up, grabbing her by the hand in order to pull her back up. Wrapping his arms around the grieving woman, “he just told me. I know it probably sounds odd, but I can see bound spirits. Have for a while now, but I can't go one ignoring them.” He hold her for however long she allows it and he didn't feel very much like eating anymore. He motions to the twins to hold their meals before mentioning to Eloni, “he's going to the light now and he’s happy.” He positioned himself next to her while leaving one arm draped around her shoulders, “let's go on a walk instead, huh?” He grabs the champagne bottle with free hand while guiding them out of the tavern if she will let him.

Eloni offers no resistance as he helps her from the ground. She would be limp in his arms for a moment before she started to squeeze him back, processing the events slowly. She half believed him about seeing spirits. But hearing that Bremen was finally at rest, even if it was a really bad attempt to impress her, did make it feel as of a huge weight had been lifted off of her. As the embrace broke she welcomed the steadying arm around her, her wing. Shifting to hold him close as she leaned heavily against the other knight. "A... walk would be nice." She bent to retrieve her dagger. Not wanting to leave it behind. Reaching behind her back she slid it back into the hidden sheath at the small of her back it blending seamlessly with the flow of the dress to give no hint to any looking there was anything there. She would allow him to lead the walk as she was not really of the mood currently to made decisions of any kind. "You could have a warned me a little, tugging on a woman's emotions so bluntly will earn you a slap... lord pigeon." It was the first time since he had lost his wings she had called him that. Slowly she moved to rest her head against his shoulder. "I'm not currently disliking you right now."

Irenic didn't sleaze a look when she bent over to acquire her dagger and went to lead her out, “I didn't plan it. It's not like this is fun for me. Sometimes they are just hard to ignore,” he sighed subtly when she rested her head on his shoulder and he gently caresses his hand on her opposite shoulder. “Alright, let us go down to the training field and you can slap me around a bit, then,” a devious smirk offered down to her.

Eloni drew a hand up to cover her mouth in a vain attempt to stifle her laughter at his comment. She laughed long and hard, something she needed desperately. Coming to a stop as her fits of laughter started to subside she gazed deeply in his eye and smiled softly. "Why are you being so nice to me?" Her words soft, not teasing or accusing in the least. She mused on the image of her fighting in the tight dress she wore. An interesting thought, but it didn't stop her as she started to walk again, this time heading towards the deserted training grounds. "It's very uncharacteristic for my crazy lord pigeon." She blinked then, did she just use the word ‘my’. Blushing softly she hoped he would miss that little gem.

Irenic sort of gave an eye roll accompanied by a smirk, “just trying to get to know you, Eloni. Don't ask questions, just go with it and have a little faith,” he quirked a brow down at her in her embarrassment, “your pigeon!?” An obnoxious guffaw followed, “you are going to have to woo me a little better than prodding me with weapons to earn that right.” His smirk continued down at her to prove he was only joking along with her as they reached the training grounds and released his hold on her. He slips his tie off and starts to unbutton his vest while slipping out of his nice shoes in uncaring if he's barefoot on the rough stone ground, “let's have a slap and a stab then.” His grin widens exposing white but crowded teeth.

Eloni gave an annoyed huff as he had caught onto her slip of the tongue. "I hate you.." she muttered. It was a hollow statement as this was the most enjoyment she has had in a while now. With Brennia being so busy with her work on the bards school the knight had been left to her own devices. Coming to the training ground she near reluctantly slides from his grasp and lifts the skirts her her dress enough to slip from her heeled boots. Her bare feet padding softly on stone much like his own. Hands fall to her hips as she watched him start to understand button his vest. Sliding the hidden dagger from the small of her back she stepped away from her things, the long skirts of her dress held in her left hand. "Why does one need to open his clothes to get a slap hmm?" She teased, though didn't turn away. Her wings betraying her almost bored facade as they flick baking and fluff with excitement.

Irenic starts to undo the buttons of his nice shirt revealing tight tawny and tattooed skin, “no you don't.” A short dark chuckle at his reply to her ‘hate’ and he continues, “you don't expect me to not at least try to defend myself. What kind of knight would I be?” He tilts his head slightly after slipping the shirt off and his bottom lip tucked into his imperfect teeth in his grin. He steadied himself before her and taunted her into hitting him with the wave of his fingers, “let's have it then…. Or are you chicken?” A low dark chuckle.

Eloni sighed as she watched him slip from his shirt, golden eyes tracing the grooves of his toned muscles with another soft sigh. "You can't just make it easy on me can you." She gives a soft mock pout. Hiking her dress up to her thighs then bringing the rolled cloth to the front and tying it tightly. Having planned just to hold the dress and give him a playful slap, his determination to defend himself has made a little game a little funner. She tightened the knotted material with a wide smile. "I kinda like that about you." She started forward slowly then, bare feet padding softly against the hard stone floor. "Never really taking the easy route." Her wings playfully beat with her foot falls before folding tightly against her back, no fair using them in their little game. She was within arms reach then leaning in, seeming like she may be going in for a kiss with how close she was coming. Her right hand snapped up at the last moment, arching upwards with an open palm. This however is a feint, the real slap coming in from her left low before arching up aiming for his right cheek.

Irenic faked an attempt to block the first one in allowing it to land and realized she was going for a harder second one. He straightened and quick as a whip he snared both of her wrists in his hands so he can hold them away from his face, “sneaky.” He tsks her and lightly forces her hands to tap on the top of her own head, “hey, stop beating yourself up.” His playful tone was followed by a playful chuckle and now they are very close to each other as their noses are nearly touching the other all the while restraining her forearms. Mismatched eyes trail over the features of her face in a slow linger and his hands slowly lower her arms until they rest at the narrow space between them. He leans down slowly and places a gentle peck on her lips, nothing sexually charged before…. Until, his grip tightened for a second around her arms and he forces distance between them to clutch his chest. “Agh!” He hold his hand out to her in furthering their distance, “stay back!” He glances up to the dusk turning skies and he hadn't realized it was getting so late. He was gasping by the time he fell to his knees and she would start to hear what sounded like breaking bones and tearing flesh as wings started to sprout painfully from the red welts on his back. There was low guttural yelling and groaning coming from him as it looked he was attempting to rip out his hair as this feels like getting torn in half day in and day out.

Eloni gave a soft grunt as he gripped her wrists giving a mock wince of pain. But the playfulness drained from her as he was so near now. She felt like she should move away but she didn't. She should push him back but she let her arms be controlled by this man. "I dislike you." She whispered with a hint of playfulness but that soft sudden kiss took her wholly off guard. Her eyes wide as her cheeks slowly but steadily darken. He had kissed her before, quite vigorously in fact. But those didn't make her heart flutter like this. Damn this man and his wilds! Then he shoved her away, skipping back a few feet as he dropped her eyes went to wide as he dropped and the sickening sounds started. She nearly wretched as she watched him start a transformation. Her eyes wide with abject horror and mild wonder before they snap up, it was growing dark. She remembered the bird monster she had met before and the reality it was Irenic. The look of fear melted away as she slid down to a slight crouch, watching silently, worried for the man she is starting to actually care for... did she just think that. "I'm not going anywhere." She said calmly and clearly, though sure he would not hear her over his own agony.

Irenic was on all fours with his head hung down and by the time she came down to his level he was only heavily breathing through his beak. “You should, I'm a monster,” he let out a sigh before large birdlike eyes look up to her in his now common tongue sounding much more menacing. “I'm just some sick joke,” he eventually got himself up to stand again, “don't waste your time on me.” He didn't meet her gaze because he wasn't trying to have a pity party and he sounded more like a parent scolding a teenager. Large ivory wings lie behind him and usually he was able to have more control over them before the curse, but there are shinier and more vibrant in subtle hues of pearly whites and flecks of silver. Most of all they were shifting subtly under Eloni’s gaze in a sort of preen.

Eloni does take a small step back, though it was not out of fear of him. A kind of sadness came over her face as she watched his transformation in its completion. "So much pain." She muttered, closing the distance on him now that he was no longer thrashing about. Her face was indifferent while he tells her to run, while he calls himself a monster, though many would be sure to agree with him. She stands before him now, a little to his side. Looking into his eyes, a hand slowly reaches out moving to touch his chest. A heavy blow then lands on his shoulder. "Stop with that!" She growls with a sudden anger. Her hand that had been moving so sweetly grabs rough hold of the hook in his beak, dragging his head down and most suddenly. He may expect another punch but he would feel her forehead press lightly to his beak. "Stop berating yourself." Her voice soft, her wings stretching out on either side to curl around his. "You are no beast. You are Irenic, the fool who went and got himself in trouble. The stubborn ass who won't ask for help. The troublesome pigeon who thinks he can do everything by himself." Her arms slowly snake around his thick feathered neck. "Idiot.." she whispered simply holding him.

Irenic let out a grunt that was cut short by her grasp on his beak and his large mismatched eyes glare into her. His feathered hands rub slowly up her curves as she's got him pegged and he allows her forehead on his beak for a long moment they are just standing there holding each other. “I can't help it because what you see is happening for a reason… I've done a lot of bad things,” his voice was barely a whisper now. “And no one knows how to fix this.” His hands stopped at her waist while his wings continue to lie about how cool and calm he always is. The ivory massives curve toward her own and revel in the attention they were getting from the more pristinely white ones. “Don't you see… I deserve this,” his expression would still be stoic in his factual way of speaking, but it's hard to tell with he beak and feathers and such.

Eloni smiled softly as he didn't push her away, she had half expected to be allowed this hold for but a moment before he was pushing her back. Instead she gets his hands running along her curves. "Everyone has done bad things. I'm a knight of balance. That means I kill those both seen as good and evil." Her hands caress the feathers of the back of his neck lightly. "I'm no good with magic, so I can't help there." Slowly she pulled her head from his beak and looked into his eyes, "but I will help you any way I can. This punishment has gone on long enough. Nothing could have been so bad as to demand this torture of you every night." Her body lightly leaning against his as she slides into another embrace. Her wings trembling along his as they to revel in the feeling, having feared for the loss of the massive ivory wings.

Irenic’s gaze falls on those pure wings of her’s and how their wings compliment each other. A quick movement of stealing one of their feathers and he backed up in the blink of an eye at least three or four long strides. Holding her feather in his feathered and black clawed hands meant one of two things he was going to hold it safely into one of his own which means he has plans to court her further. But if he broke the spine on it and stomped it onto the ground it meant he means to fight her. His own soft fingertips caress the spine of the soft feather while giving her a sideways glance and as one could assume was a smirk. He tucked her feather safely among his own ivory feathers and it contrasts beautifully against his own, but she was going to have to work for it to catch one of his. By the time she would realize what he did he would be soaring into the air with brilliant force for her to chase him.

Eloni felt the tug of her wing as he slipped from her. She hadn't thought much of it as she watched him slink away, but oh how those golden eyes widened as she noticed what he was teasing with. It's not a simple thing to pluck a feather. "Oh you're pushing your luck," she growled at him as she took a few walking steps then as he took flight she settled into a run as her wings stretched out and filled with air. Leaping and with a single powerful thrust of her wings she was up and after him, wings working smooth to close the distance. Angling to make the best use of the warm up drafts that raise from the stone grounds reaching up into the darkening night. "I'm going to punish you when I catch you, lord pidgin!" She suddenly dove into a powerful up draft and spreading her wings as wide as she could used its force to launch herself at him. Hands grabbing for his wings, more notably his primary feathers as she darted past him.

Irenic swiveled and banked all through the cool air in giving her quite the chase about the airspace over the field. Right at her last leap he pivots in the hair after a halt and catches her mid tackle, which causes them to tumble through the hair heading towards the ground. It wasn't a long fall to the ground at this point, but nevertheless he positions himself to fall on the ground backside down with her snared in his feathery arms. “Looks like I caught you instead, dove,” a short chuckle a she realized his wings had folded around the both of them out of habit, but he releases their cover if she wanted to stand now and kick him around a bit.

Eloni gave a sudden surprised cry as she was so easily caught in her assault. Hands gripping his shoulder as they started their tumble. Her wings angling frantic to catch and spill air so by the time she wrapped them up together the landing would not be very hard at all. She growled at him dangerously after a moment of silence. Straddling him she sat up slowly, sitting on the monster's stomach. Huffing a free lock from her face her eyes narrowed dangerously. Playfully punching him on the chest she leans forward slowly bringing her face to his beak. Eyes closed as she nuzzled her cheek lightly along the side of the powerful hooked beak. It was an awfully sweet act for one promising the other much pain. As she nuzzled a hand slipped to his massive wing. Long fingers trailing down the spine of a primary feather. "That's a bad birdy." She coos to his ear as she slowly and deliberately plucked the feather. "This is mine now."

Irenic gave a playfully pained grunt to her assault and she would feel those abdomen muscles tense under her seated position. He wasn't sure what she was about to do when she leaned down close to his beak, but she nuzzles it? A little surprised but he welcomes it and gently presses back into her. His hands were gently caressing her outer thighs until he remembers his feathered hands might feel gross or odd and he crosses his arms over his chest. A small awkward pause after she snatches a feather for herself, “take good care of it?” He doesn't remember Valrae or the pain opening up like that caused, but he can guess it wasn't good to turn him into this.

Eloni blushed softly as she felt his muscles flex under her. She responds with a little sway of her hips. As he pulled his taloned hands away from her she gave a soft sigh. Leaning in she pressed another soft kiss to his beak. "I really didn't mind.." spoken as a soft whisper for him. Then she slowly stands up, taking a moment to untie the skirts of her dress and let them fall back in place before stepping away from him. His feather running along her throat as she seems lost in thought. "You still owe me a dinner." The color or her cheeks darkening a little, "until then I have a hostage." The long feather rolls between her fingers. "It'll be well taken care of until then." Knowing the meaning of the words she looked away as she sneakily slid the feather among her own. With That said she collects her heels and starts to pad off on bare feet, back home to the castle.
