RP:Cabin In The Woods

From HollowWiki

Xzavior was wandering his now complete cabin feeling rather proud of his accomplishment. It had taken him many months to finally reach this point and he wouldn't change a single inch of it. After checking out the interior he stepped outside and placed some logs in the fire pit. It was a nice night, why waste it indoors. Leifa was inside sleeping in the master bedroom curled up on the bed. With a flint he sparked a fire before sitting down and looking up at the night sky. Strangely tonight felt rather boring.

Desparrow was prowling about the forest with his pack, checking borders and seeing about new territory that could potentially be taken. That was when he noticed a new cabin build right in the forest. What an eyesore! Or perhaps clever. No matter. He stepped up to the door and knocked quite loudly. See what is going on

Xzavior jumped at the knocking. Who would be here this late? That and how did they even find this place? Taking a look out of the large window in the living room he say a familiar figure, "Des?" Heading to the door he quickly opened it and offered the lycan a grin, "Hey! I didn't think I'd see you around here. Come on in." He motioned for him to follow as he went to the kitchen to grab a bottle of rum. "Just had it built, what do you think of the place?" He poured two mugs and offered Desparrow one whether he came in or not.

Desparrow howled, looking to the wolves that had accompanied him, giving them a silent order to stay put for now. They both took position to either side of the door as Des stepped inside, accepting the invitation. "I live in the forest as well as Cenril. I have territory in both places. Its nice. A bit of a strange place to choose but not my decision. Also its not in my territory so no problems."

Xzavior took a look at the wolves outside the door with a curious look but didn't question it. Closing the door behind Desparrow, Xzavior chuckled, "I chose to have it here so I can get away from everyone without giving them so much as a clue as to where. Though it is also because I enjoy the forest more than anywhere else." Moving to the living room he took a seat in one of the chairs.

Desparrow chuckled, "Wanting to get away eh? Well now I'll know where you are. I haven't come across someone who has been able to hide from me. Though not saying it is impossible. SO what is it you are up to tonight? Feeling any different?"

Xzavior just shrugged and gave him a grin, "Just don't go around making it public knowledge, I only plan on letting Artia know where this place is. Gods knows she needs to take a break every so often." He tilted his head to the side as he asked if Xzavior had felt anything, "I'm not really doing anything just relaxing. But as far as I can tell I don't really feel anything different about me. Though I haven't really tested using magic since then."

Desparrow stepped over to Xzavior, feeling the magic in him. "Hmm. Well my magic flows best when I exert myself. Perhaps when you do the same it will respond and flow through you. I can feel it in you, it is there but it isn't giving you any sort of benefits yet. Perhaps a bout eh?" He grinned, looking to outside. "I wouldn't want to wreck your new house. haha but there is a lot of forest."

Xzavior lifted a brow and stood up with him, "A bout you say? Why not. Never can have enough training even if it doesn't show anything new going on with me. But hey! you'll get to see me pull off some of my skills." Following his gaze outside he chuckled, "You're right on that! I'd rather ice over a random section of the forest then my house. Though it's probably inevitable that it will happen at some point." Making his way to the door he opened it and motioned with a slight smirk, "Lead on -Master-."

Desparrow couldn't help but laugh. "Master? I like the sound of that. I feel like I should teach every magic user. My specialty is broad but I have the knowledge that applies to all magic." he stepped out and led Xzavior to what could be called a clearing, little more than just an absence of trees. "Alright. Treat this as a real battle, with intent to defeat me."

Xzavior followed after him. When they came to the clearing he shifted his stance, "Fight to win hm?" With a fanged grin he shifted into a humanized Xzavior, complete with a white suit, and summoned a staff made of ice, "What other way is there?" Knowing full well that Desparrow can handle himself Xzavior did not give him a seconds notice before rushing him down chanting words of power to his staff as he went. As soon as he was within striking range he whipped his staff downwards. But trailing behind it was a snow like substance that would instantly freeze to the touch covering the area in ice. Carrying through with the swing he used the staff to pole vault over the lycan roll and whip the staff again this time towards his legs.

Desparrow prepared for the fight by venting ether into the air as a mist around him. It flowed about his form giving him a rather otherworldly appearance. Arms up and the staff struck his blocking arms which sent ice surging over his arms sealing them together. It burned and the impact made him take a couple steps back, though it was a surprise his opponent was so nimble, vaulting over him. He pivoted on a heel before crouching down and leaping backwards only to land roughly a meter away perfectly on that same foot. Regaining balance the lycanthrope took a defensive stance. Ribbons of magic encircled the casing of ice about his arms beforce constricting it and solidifying shattering it entirely. Mild freezerburn was left on his forearms. "Good." He took more steps back as between his two hands ribbons of ether coalesced into a sphere. Once it was roughly the size of two fists he grinned and fired it as a single lance towards Xzavior. It was headed straight for his abdomen but when it was only inches away it burst upon command into six separate lances, curving and going for the elbows, knees, and feet for crippling blows. They would strike, pierce and go straight through the body severing muscle nerve and bone to strike down the foe.

Xzavior grinned at the wolves small praise but quickly went on the defencive as the ether gathered. As soon he tossed the spear Xzavior planted his staff widthwise against the ground and brought it up. The same snow substance following suit and solidifying as soon as it appeared, but as the spear split apart it connected with the wall of ice shattering it. Given enough of a warning he was able to leap out of the way with only a cut on his leg. With a small hiss of pain he started waving his staff around aimlessly as more of the snow was created, coating random parts forest floor in ice. Without warning he thrusted out a hand and launched three of his own spears at sub zero temperatures.

Desparrow expected more from his attack but it didn't work. Oh well he'd try again. As Xzavior's spears advanced upon him the ether merged into a liquid form that hovered inches away from Des' body. Its sole purpose was to protect him and that it did, lashing out with tentacles that ravaged two of the three spears, though the other was too fast and dug out a chunk form Des' side though the ice also freezed the wound closed. It hurt and it showed by the way he grimaced, grabbing the new wound. A moment to recuperate and that was all he needed before his gaze refocused on Xzavior. A smile formed on his lips and he burst forward with incredible enhanced speed. In his left hand he had a sphere that glowed a warm red and in the other was a hot white. Pressing them together he created a single sphere which when he was ten feet away roughly splayed out his hands towards his opponent releasing a cone of encompassing flames that refused to touch Xzavior though would cook him alive with their intense increasing heat. At the same time bolts of fire spit out from his palms towards the naga, each one capable of inflicting mild second degree burns.

Xzavior might have been a naga and with that naturally resistant to fire, but he had to sacrifice some of that immunity to be able to handle the cold he put himself through for many years. As the flames encompassed him he was expecting it to engulf him, he spun his staff to disperse the flames as they came but as soon as they reached they are hot enough to almost instantly melt the staff. Growling in pain as he was lashed by fire and surrounded by heat he tried to outlast it. He couldn't, all but roaring in anger he stomped a foot to the ground as ice shot up from the ground around him. Glaring at the wolf he thrust out his hands and two large ice boulders were conjured then launched at Desparrow with surprising speed. After getting within a foot of his target the two boulders would shatter and shoot a shotgun array of fist sized ice spikes at him.

Desparrow didn't have a clue Naga's were resistant to fire and that wasn't about to change. In fact he couldn't even see Xzavior, only the swirling flame that he knew surrounded the naga. The boulders came as a surprise, crashing into him, smashing one of his hands to the point of crippling his left one. The second one sent him sprawling against the ground. Now it was time to get serious. When he got up he could only get to his knee before the ice spikes were coming his way. Lifting a hand a wall of force erected, blocking them and against it they shattered. "Tonight.. Xzavior you did good. I'll postpone for now. You have room for improvement, I shouldn't have taken you so lightly. That was my mistake." already his hand had started to crack, rectifying odd angles but it wouldn't heal for some time yet.

Xavior let himself calm down before continuing with anything "Happens to the best of us... but thanks..." Once he was calm he took even breaths and chuckled, "Well that was new. Normally I wouldn't have lost my cool like that, and it would take me longer then a second to make something that big usually." He walked over to Desparrow shifting back into his naga form as he did and went to take a look at his injured hand, "Sorry about that. I don't have any medical supplies on me or at the cabin at the moment otherwise I would patch that up, though it looks as if you are doing fine by yourself." His hands moved across the worst of his burns applying his own cooling properties.

Desparrow chuckled, "It's alright." he looked down at the hand, it hurt like hell but it was going to repair itself. "No problems. You are getting stronger." he placed a hand over Xzavior's chest, feeling the magic having dispersed itself and is now flowing through his veins. "I would say if you fight each day, itd be a week that the magic has begun to infuse itself into your flesh. I am almost entirely comprised of magic.. I don't know why i'm telling you but i can never fight an anti-mage. I fear a single blow would rip right through me, and if a wizard got smart and decided to dispel me, not a spell but dispelled me.. it would break down the composition of my body.."

Xzavior nodded solemnly, "You're basically a living spell. Don't worry, I'm not the type of person to let that kind of information out." He looked down at his own hand and thought about the prospect of being infused with magic. "I've hardly seen an anti mage in a long time," He smirked and added, "And very little wizards would be brave enough to try and even think about someone being made out of magic as they are being attacked."

Desparrow nodded. "Guard that information. I can handle my own but eventually someone gets smart. I am little more than a conscious anchored to the physical realm by a shifting physical body comprised of energy. That is what happened when I died. The magic kept me alive and turned me into this. I'm more powerful but I have a fatal weakness."

Xzavior just shrugged, "Everyone has a weakness. It's just a matter of when they find it and how they use that information. But I must be retiring, it's late and I have something important in the morning. I'll keep up on the training and I hope that arm gets better, I'll see you later. Master." He tossed him a grin and waved as he moved back to his new cabin in the woods.

Desparrow nodded, laughing. Master.. that is a title he hasn't heard in a long time. "I'll be seeing you."
