RP:Bloodlines meets The Steel Collective

From HollowWiki

Summary: Aarika comes across Garrio and LaFitte recruiting them into The Steel Collective.

Northern Range

The beauty that is all around you is mind-boggling. The ground is rough and extreme, but it doesn't get to you as it should. The ground is lightly covered in snow, a dusting in someplaces, in others it blocks the earth completely from view. The trees here are mostly of the summer leafy kind, with a few evergreens ever now and then. The clouds to the north look gloomy, and the snow will get deeper as will the cold. Traveling north will mean you must don some warmer clothing possibly, or risk exposure to the harsher elements of the northern country. The path becomes harder to see as the snow gradually rises with the elevation, and it leads up to a kingdom, seemingly made of pure ice and snow. To the south are some highlands, and with it the smell of warmer air blows by.

Garrio : The two founding (and only) members of the small group known as bloodlines sit each on their horses. Garrio facing the south, Lafitte facing north. The two horses they each sit upon taking up a good portion of the road. “You're saieng, a bird turned into a man ét was talkéng?” LaFitte says with a slight chuckle in his words “Are you sure you wairen't drinkéng? Air maibe sampléng ze product?” Garrio lets out a huff “I know what I saw, there's money to be had here, we just have to know where to look. And yes, the bird man will be the one to lead us to it.” LaFitte shakes his head still trying to hold back his laughter “You 'avé lost yur mind you know zat?”

Aarika the workhorse took it upon herself to begin the second task. She was an avid runner so the distance didn't ache her feet. She hiked down from Frostmaw on her way to Xalious, patrolling with her ever faithful squire. Her eyes were were ever busy noting every detail if anything changed she would know. The duo pause to sip at her canteen while a hand swept her mane from her eyes, "So far so good." She winked before tossing her water bottle to the young lad. In the horizon she noted two men but mainly the white horse, "Hey!" She called cupping a and around her mouth. " I know you where eaves dropping last night!" She a cussed moving closer to investigate to two. " And you!" Lafitte was her focus, " You poked holes in one of my men." She scolded from behind a smile. "It was rather impressive." Henry finally pulled up the rear, he wasn't as athletic as the sell sword, "You owe me a man."

Garrio 's gaze turns to look behind him while his counterpart dropped hand to his waist. “Well wéll mon beautay, if eet eez a man you be aftair...” his hand moves to the center and does a jerking motion “I'm suré I'll bé abuhl to feehl all of yur needs” he says with a cheeky grin and a laugh. By this time Garrio had managed to dismount his horse and was turned to face the woman “Aye, I was listening in on you and the bird man.” his tone a little more reserved then his friend. “And I happened to over hear you've got a job lined up.” the man lifts his mask to reveal his face and to allow clearer speaking. Garrio reaches over and grabs hold of the other vampires leg pulling him down off his high horse. A quick hand gesture is given from leader to subordinate the message received shifting the vampire back to his outlaw persona.

Aarika scoffed as the listened to Lafitte and watched his gestures. Those pale blues over hers scanned the man up and down and her lips twisted into a sweet smile as she leaned in closer, " I would be surprised if you could fulfill any woman's needs." She arched a single brow before Garrio received her attention, "I have many a jobs lined up. " She informed the man vaguely while her eyes cast down to her nails nonchalantly, "And what's it to you." She canted her head to the side while she memorized the details of Garrio's face.

Garrio 's arms cross over his chest eyes narrowing, “Simple. Jobs require people to run them. Now, we hold no loyalty to the queen...” he says before LaFitte interrupts “Air any govairnmont but ur own” the outburst was rewarded with a swift punch to the gut before Garrio continues. “But what we are loyal to, is gold. And if your gold says the queen is to be protected then she'll have us to protect her, or if it's you who needs protecting from her, not that I doubt you'd need protection then we'd offer it as well.” He sits back confident in his offer until the other chimes in “But if you 'appén to 'ave any jobs of ze dirtiair sairt zat might stain those 'ands of yurs,” again that cheeky smile returns “I'll tak pairsonal responsibilitay to kép zém clean.”

Aarika smiled mischievously as she cast her eyes to her squire, " Ah I see." There was a shake of her head, "So you want a piece of the pie." Again the pair fell in her line of sight, "Well how would I know I could trust either of you?" Both her arms crossed under her chest and again she looked them head to toe, " I can't have you giving me or the company a bad name." She stated matter of a factly, "Also I can't have you trying to kill anymore of my men." It was clear the comment was aimed to LaFitte and him alone. " Can you abide to a few simple rules?" She questioned wondering if the vampires held self control, "If one could he would be a wealthy man." There was that casual tone again.

Garrio: “You sai ai owé you a man, wéll ai breng you deux” LaFitte responds first, but only to be cut off by his leader. “Our name is our own, if you want to associate with the bloodlines horse club, then so be it, or if you'd rather our acquaintance be swept under the rug then it's very easy to convince any who'd need convincing that for the moment, our two organizations share the same interests. The two options aren't mutually exclusive either. Should you agree to one, then wish to change it wouldn't be difficult to explain that away either.” Garrio takes a step forward and throws his hand down to the side a silent message given to LaFitte, which he begins to protest but obeys with glaring eyes. “If this one caused death to your man, then that was then and not in the present, It just adds to our argument that you need extra men. And If an imbecile,” the word returns a glare from the second in command “such as he can dispatch of your man, then perhaps your man wasn't cut out for the job. But as he's stated, his debt calls for a man in return, you have two willing to work. What are your rules?” he asks eyes squared on the woman waiting for her response.

Aarika emitted a soft sigh while she digested his words," I am not angry with the attack, as I said it was rather impressive." Lafitte earned a harmless wink. "Loyalty to the men you fight beside. After a contract your alliances are your own, but I will not have a man fall because of shady actions. We are a unit." She locked eyes with Garrio, "Do not dishonor or discredit our name. Any disagreements between one another is to be settle professionally, if it can not then a trail by sword." She would extend a finger with each condition, " Do not share details with an outside party. And all payment is divided equal, if you steal you will lose a hand if you lie, your tongue." There was a rise and fall of her shoulders, "Other then you are free to come and go as you please." She would extend an arm for a warrior's grasp if he chose to accept it it would seal the deal.

Garrio took a moment to take in the conditions. After a few moments he extends his hand taking her wrist into his grip. The outlaw gives her a nod “It would seem our organizations have combined. We assure any man who fights beside us will have the same backup as if he were one of mine. That being said, I'm recruiting as well if you wish to add them to your group that is your call, but if they are fighting beside me then they will honor your rules just as I will.” he smiles and withdraws his hand, LaFitte walks up next extending his hand, but rather taking it in an agreement handshake he would take her finger tips in his hand and bring them to his lips “Ssin'urn rahi, ol orn tlu Usstan ulu ser nindolen rahi duul'sso d'vlos” he says upon the gentle kiss upon her knuckles. Garrio chuckles “I've rarely seen him go full elven on a woman.”

Aarika nodded, I am open to meet any of your prospects and from there we can decide.' As she withdraw her arm Lefitte whisked it up. He lifted her hand bushed his lips to her skin and she lofted a brow, Ph'dos xunor? She asked stoically as she jerked back her hand in one fluid motion. Dosst ssiniss xal pholor mzllt roma. She smiled with a cant of her flaxen head, 'Jhal Usstan lglata Ussan tlun naut saph mzilst roma. Her smile grew to a grin as she turned to address Garrio, Should I feel special? She asked wiping the back of her hand against her cloak while casting a quick glance towards the snake charmer, How soon are you able to work? She asked, As I stated before we have many contracts available.'

Garrio shrugs “Special or disgusted, I'm not exactly sure myself. But as for how soon we can start, We can pretty much start at any time, we have only a small selling business on the side but that can be put on hold as long as needed.” he sighs pulling back LaFitte by his collar and once again placing the subordinate back in his place. “We can work as a team, or solo depending on if you need the two of us elsewhere.”

Aarika laughed towards Garrio as he attempted to gain control of Lafitte, Well if you want you can begin now. She offered gesturing around, The trail from Xalious to Frostmaw need to be patrolled. People are going missing. Also there is work in the North. I have to allegiance to the Queen however she pays handsomely and as long as my pockets are lined I will work. Choose one or do both. She shrugged again.

Garrio both look to their horses and nod "Guess we'll be on patrol"

Aarika dipped her head once again, I will let it be know then. She smiled before sending a wink Lafitte, poor thing she would rial him up just to let him down. With that she turned towards the mountains continuing her own patrol towards Frostmaw, Try not to die. She teased over her shoulder.

Garrio both just laugh at the joke and their own history together. "A bit late on that don't you think?"
