Summary: Yes, a thing.

The Rebel Room: Art Gallery

Magik makes it a point to clean up Meri's place a bit while she sleeps. Especially the toys.

Meri was going to try and beat Magik to the whole 'being awake' thing. Maybe she felt like it was her turn to make breakfast? But damn, she wakes up to a slightly cleaner place instead. What is this dude trying to do to Meri?

Magik might be trying to impress Meri or he very well might be just doing what he does naturally. Maybe it's a combination of both? Either way. He was ready for another question if Meri was. He actually just got done putting away one last toy of Fleur's that was hiding under the couch.

Meri definitely has a question for Magik, but she's just going to lean in the doorway of her bedroom for a bit so that she admire the man while he cleans. Look. It's the little things sometimes. He's not going to get that question yet, just some teasing, "Oh you are still here. If you're not careful I might start thinking that you like me."

Magik is caught somewhat off guard. He looks over to Meri then walks over. He leans close to her ear and whispers, "Your turn," Before collapsing on her couch, obviously leaving room for her.

Meri slants a gaze toward her child's room, trying to listen to figure out if the kid was awake or not. She hears silence and she'll take it for as long as she can get it. Meri joins Magik on the couch, and if he was caught off guard before...? Well Meri's going to make it worse. "Fine. But you did this to yourself. What are we doing here?" She's motioning between herself and Magik. Meri's trying to play it cool, but she's lowkey kind of nervous.

Magik 's heart jumps for the second time since his big sickness. He might have even went a little pale as if he turned vamp at that very moment. Before he can answer, his cheeks regain their color and perhaps more. Now he was caught off guard. The Lyastri takes a deep breath then just lets it out. He could have been highly sarcastic but this was definitely not the time, "I, um..I really, really enjoy your company. There's just..no pressure at all. It's weird but in a good way." He pauses then looks into Meri's eyes. The black flames inside his die out to reveal bright blue irises. He's unsure of what to say next but somehow finds some fitting words, "What do you want," he repeats the same gesture, "this to be?"

Meri :: Right around the moment Magik took in that breath and released it, Meri actually started to look nervous. Crap. Maybe that was a bad question. And then the answer comes and Meri relaxes a bit, at least...until it is turned back on her. There is another crap moment, because now she has to actually use her words to talk about those pesky things called feelings. Meri’s never been good at that. There is no breath, Meri just kind of stammers awkwardly. “I. Um. Well. I guess I also...really. You know. Enjoy your company. And definitely no pressure at all. Do you think it’s weird? I don’t think it’s weird.” Ramble. Ramble. She noticed that flash of blue in Magik’s eyes, she’s just too preoccupied being a doofus right now. “I guess. Though. You know. If you want to...then I was kind of thinking that maybe it might be kind of nice for this to be. Uh.” Word. Help. “Something.” Smoooooth.

Magik thought it was absolutely adorable for Meri to be tripping on her words. The black flames reappear as he smiles, "Something? As in a -thing-?" Now he's just teasing. The next words might put everything in place just fine, "A pack?" Magik tilts his head and arches an eyebrow suggestively. They both know what's going on here. Both of these knuckleheads are just too shy and nervous to outright say it. It's pretty cute, to be honest.

Meri relaxes as she watches Magik, that familiar smile slowly creeping across her lips again. Shy and nervous from Meri was definitely a good thing in this instance. She wouldn’t be so nervous if she didn’t care. The blonde leans forward to plant a kiss right on Magik’s lips, “Definitely a thing,” she concedes. “But a pack is a pretty strong connotation. I don’t want to lose another, you know?” Meri hoped Magik understood. “But definitely a thing.” Meri gets one more question, doesn’t she? “So then you’re fine with Fleur and I showing up at the treehouse more often…?” Speaking of Fleur. It sounds like there are signs of life in that bedroom. Someone is out of bed and getting into things.

Magik returns Meri's kiss and even plants one more quick one on her lips, "Then we are a thing." Magik might have to pinch himself later to see if this was all happening. He then adds in, "I only said pack because, ya know, the common wolf thing we both have going on. And if you get me, you get Mirsh and Ohtar too." So many wolves both figuratively and literally. He then leans into Meri to get a peak at Fleur's door, "I'll even make a play area out of one of the spare rooms for her."

Meri :: The blonde is looking like she’s walking on air right about now that they’ve moved past that awkwardness of having to express their feelings. Magik’s interest in that door doesn’t escape Meri’s notice either. Look. It’s kind of cute that he’s actually accepting of her kid. Big deal to single mom’s you know? Well. Evidently not so single anymore. The blonde smile widens considerably at the talk of the playhouse. Crap. Magik’s doing it again. “Maybe we’ll get there,” she says as she gets up off the couch to free Fleur from the bedroom. And then it would be off to the kitchen. Everyone needs to eat. “Do you want me to feed you too or do you need to head back to your students and Mirshann?”

Magik politely declines breakfast, "Oh. No. I'm good for now. Thank you. I made a quick run back home earlier. I gave the kiddos a day off and Mirsh is headed back to Sylo Alari. There's a secluded cabin that we have. She likes to spend some time there when she's feeling overwhelmed here." Or under the weather. Mirsh has been suffering through the same sickness Magik had a few months ago. She'll pull through so he doesn't want to get Meri all worried just yet. "Is there anything you need me to do?"

Meri lifts a brow curiously. Mirshann was about the one subject Meri hasn’t pressed too much on. Not because of a lack of curiosity, Meri knew a thing or two about being a protective parent and she got the impression Magik was also very protective. Meri shakes her head to answer Magik’s question, she didn’t need help at this exact moment. Fleur is plopped into a high chair and Meri? Well sense Magik isn’t hungry, Meri will cheat this meal. Fruit. Oatmeal. The easy stuff. “So what you are telling me...is you have the rest of the day to do...Whatever you want? No obligations? So it sounds like. You want to spend the rest of the day with Fleur and I, eh? Beach? Maybe sushi for lunch?” Cue a smirk. “I’d love to meet Mirshann soon.”

Magik nods, "Yep. I have the day off." As Magik answers he also keeps an eye on Fleur to see what type of eater she is. Messy? Nice and clean? Just trying to get some general ideas so he can make preparations at the treehouse, "Maybe sushi on the beach?" Both? Both is good. "I hope Mirsh comes home soon. We would have an easy to find babysitter.." He chuckles and thinks to himself, "I'd probably have to bribe her with some gold.." Magik adds smoothly, "I think you two would get along great, to be honest."

Meri :: Fleur’s eating habits depended on her mood, some days are messier than others. She may not have quite gotten her mother’s looks, as she’s got black hair, but she’s definitely taking on more of Meri’s personality. The why behind that one is obvious. Who has been raising her? Meri chats about Mirshann first while she and Fleur eat, “I hope so. I’ve never met someone’s daughter before. It feels like a big deal. Maybe like meeting a mother? Maybe more intense than that? You better prep me so I don’t make an ass out of myself. I’d like her to like me.” And now Meri’s going to prove why this might be needed, by saying something dumb. “Sushi on the beach sounds…” Meri is smirking. She may not be thinking about sushi anymore. Meri coughs. “Yes. Anyway. I think we’ve got a plan for the day. Awe. Did we just plan our first real date?”

Magik already knows Mirshann's feelings towards Meri and is sure she will confirm that when they meet. She just wants the best for her 'papa'. Yes, she still calls him Papa at the age of 18. Magik smirks, "I really don't think it'll be that big of a deal." It actually might be..afterwards. There are few secrets between Mag and Mirsh. They talk about almost everything. "She might seem a little stand-off-ish at first but she's more than likely just sizing you up." It's in the D'Chath blood. " I'm sure it'll be fine." Magik warmly smiles but a smirk quickly takes over after the sushi comment, "Maybe, dessert, on the beach when it gets dark?" How suggestive.. "I can't wait.." He pauses, "Literally.." Magik gets up and makes his way to the two lovely ladies enjoying breakfast. Fleur gets a quick hair ruffle and Meri gets a quick peck on the lips between bites of her food, "I'm going to go round up Ohtar or Vhid." Meri doesn't know Vhid.. "I'll be back in time for lunch. I'll pick up the food and meet you at the beach?"

Meri will just have to stew on what Magik has said about Mirshann while he is out getting Ohtar and...wait. Vhid? Meri lifts a brow at this name, but she’s distracted and silenced with that peck on the lips. Fleur on the other hand is looking really excited at the mention of Oat. “We’ll see you soon down at the beach then. Later…” Dramatic pause and sly smirk, “...babe.”

Magik snickers then has an over-the-top ridiculous wink for Meri before he's out the door and on his way to round up one of his critters. Does Magik bring Oat to help keep an eye on Fleur or does he bring Vhid, the fat black ferret who has been with Magik since he first made his way here? Stay tuned.
