Desparrow watched his guests leave, the maid now holding two steaming cups of tea, one in Des' hand and one in his son Xander's. The boy had the crimson hues of a vampire, though his father had no indication of being the same. "Indeed you are welcome. Also no worries if you mean us harm. I like a good challenge, just as much as I like regular conversation." he chuckled, voice semi-deep and a little gravelly. "What brings you here good sir?" the lycan Des was of good build, lean muscled and probably closer to five foot ten than six foot though who could really guess such a short window? The child of four years bowed courteously, wearing aristocratic clothing compared to his father whom was in light and medium armor pieces over his regular day to day raggedy clothes that were befitting of a brute warrior, and not a sorcerer such as he. "Greetings sir."

Rhaoshin steps further into the room, and as he comes closer it might be noted that he is short - at 5' 4 he cuts a less broad figure than most men. "I am Rrrhaoshin," the dark skinned male replies, "and hrrre is many places. I have come to all for differrrent rrreasons." He is suddenly struck by the strangeness of his present engagement - the man has spoken to no one in many days, and has wandered brazenly into a dwelling with an unfamiliar culture. Rhaoshin looks down at the boy, and out his existential shock manages to summon a smile. "I am lost," the ranger says, "err... Without purrrpose, should I say. Nothing brrrings me herre."

Desparrow nodded to Rhaoshin, and the maid stepped up to the short man offering a cup of tea. "A pleasure Sir Rrrhaoshin I am sure. I am Desparrow, you can call me Des, and this is my son Xander. The maids if you visit often you may get to know." he chuckled, stepping forward to offer a hand shake not judging the male by his size in the slightest. The boy gave yet another boy, advancing as well for a handshake. "So you say you are without purpose. Would you say you are looking for one?" Desparrow had many plans, and could use all the help he could find. More friends also were beneficial.

Rhaoshin reaches straight passed Desparrow's hand and instead grips and shakes his forearm in the manner of the human's tribe - presuming the lycan lets him. "A pleasurrre," the ranger greets, and withdraws a few steps after letting go. "I do not think I can find what it is that I am looking for... Rrrather that it will find me. But I am always looking forrr distrrraction."

Desparrow accept whatever customs that the other shows, shaking forearms. "Distraction, Well I like to train, and I have some things going on that could use some extra hands." he chuckled, offering the man a seat in the hall.

Rhaoshin looks to the offered seat, and shakes his head. "Thank you; I do not intend to loiter. I am not long in the Norrrth, and will leave this city today. Beforrre that therrre is much forrr me to see." He turns to face Desparrow more directly, and looks inquisitive, "tell me of these things you say arrre going on."

Desparrow chuckles, "As you see fit. Well I am working on improving the lycanthrope race. Improving my kind. Practicing magic, fighting. Also have a war about to start against the sea folk for this city." he grinned, "Anything you'd be interested in? Going to be sieging the city soon to take control of it."

Rhaoshin is taken aback by this answer. These seem like highly sensitive topics, and this man was sharing them openly. Not the least affecting of these revelations is that the ranger is in the presence of a lycanthrope - Rhaoshin had seen few in his time, and spoken to none until now. "Sea folk?" Rhaoshin inquires, "who are they? Why would I choose to war with them? Why do you, in fact?"

Desparrow wasn't surprised at the other's shock. He was indeed a lycanthrope, and a strong one. "She wants to destroy Cenril. I want to evacuate the people, and save it if I can, but its not easy. The guard and criminal factions will oppose me I'm sure. A little bloodshed however is nothing compared to the lives I'll save in the end. If I can do that well then it doesn't matter if the witch destroys the buildings. We will rebuild it. Better than it was. You could get involved. It is a matter of priority. I grew up here that is my reason. Its my home."

Rhaoshin listens closely, and finds himself empathetic. The north, obviously, is in a state of complicated turmoil and Rhaoshin is unwilling to commit to any side in a maelstrom he does not understand. Home, however, is a thing the ranger can understand. "This I will considerr," the human answers, taking a few steps towards the door, "firrrst, I need to learrrn of these strange lands, and discoverrr its intrrricacies. Thank you forrr yourrr welcome, Des."
