RP:A Busy Afternoon

From HollowWiki

Synopsis: Zahrani exercises at the Warrior Headquarters, then she and Scandal clean up at the bathhouse before getting a meal.

The soft clink of armor and feline growls could be heard near one of the obstacle courses. Covered head to toe in plate armor, Zarhani bolts from one obstacle to another. A climbing wall, leaning oblique towards the runners and fitted with various handholds, awaits her. With a strong exhale, she propels herself upward, closing steel-clad paws around the first hand holds. Her core muscles work to rapidly bend her legs upward, giving her additional momentum as she reaches for the next highest grip, and within a few seconds she was 3/4 of the way up. She ascends to the top, stopping for just a couple heartbeats to catch her breath before she's off again, ziplining down towards the target portion.

Scandal who had been for some time observing this having come to the warrior's Headquarters in hopes of getting some swordplay found himself unable to pull away from the sight of watching her. His thoughts isolated, at least he thought, he thought "I could watch that all day." But then realizing he thought that, he turned slightly looking away, and making eye contact with a flustered warrior. The warrior charged him, and he so he focused on his density, and felt himself sinking into the stone, unable to judge how much was to much, as soon as the sword made contact he heard the disturbing sound of first steel shattering and then bones breaking and then the screams which he muffled quickly to not make to much of scene. "Hey sorry mate, shouldn't rush a guy like that," Scandal said quickly adjusting his weight and helping the warrior to a bunk. Scandal turned back to the area hoping to catch a glimpse of zahrani when she finished so it would be less awkward.

Zahrani rolls during the zipline landing, keeping her momentum as she runs forward and pulls out her mace. Hit as many targets as you can in the time given. That was the obstacle. Many of them were immobile training dummies, each with a target either on their head or their central mass. Other targets were found on actual trainers who volunteered, with lots of armor and cushioning, to act as mobile obstacles and goals. Sadly, none of them could dodge or outrun the feline for very long, after she had made short work of the dummies. Single-minded determination and focus on the objective guide her every step within the course. She finishes by matching her previous score, leaving that portion of the course quickly for the next participant. She jogs out, removing her helm and panting slightly. She had heard a familiar voice, along with...screaming?...during the run, but she didn't pay attention until now. She turns an intense gaze towards the red dragon who had been watching her, giving him a half-smile and saying, "Look who's here...come to stretch your legs?"

Scandal smiled catching conversation again from her. "eh you could say that, your skills are quite impressive by the way." Scandal said walking up while avoiding the steel shards on the ground, He wore a scarf around his neck today just a simple white one. along with his usual garb, "I was in town thought i would drop by, and I am surprised to see you here."

Zahrani's heavy breathing subsides as she cools down, the paladin listening to Scandal before turning towards the shards of steel. She stoops down to pick up one of them, glancing at the dragon before picking up the rest and handing them off to an instructing assistant; they would likely send them off to the smithy once they had accumulated a certain amount of broken equipment. Turning back to the male, she picks up a large satchel and asks, "Well, when I'm not wondering Lithrydel or studying at the Temple, I often come here for training and conditioning." At the mention of being in town, she asks, "How much have you seen?"

Scandal found himself rubbing his hand along his beard when she asked, "Um lemme think, I got a little lost, ended up near the fish market, and seen the gates of course, saw eel lounge which appeared abandoned, and then just called a carriage, I really haven't seen that much." Scandal said before removing his hand from his beard.

Zahrani smiles at the story Scandal tells her, before proceeding to remove the training armor, leaving her in just a fitted sleeveless tunic and pants. The armor gets handed off to a trainer near the front, who returns the feline's personal satchel with her belongings. To the bearded dragon, then asks, "Have you visited the Bathhouse yet? I need to clean myself up after that."

Scandal nods as she changes, "Bath house? I don't think I have been to one since, before my "Long" Nap." He notices she had something on underneath and relaxes, guilting himself at the back of his mind he should have looked away out of poliotness.

Zahrani doesn't provide any indication that she could sense his thoughts. If she did sense them, they likely weren't nearly as bad as some of some of the things others have likely thought of her, locked away in their heads because they weren't telepaths. She just keeps her gaze on him, slinging her satchel over her shoulder and saying, "Follow me."

Scandal smiled as he replied, "Sounds good to me."

Zahrani leads the two of them to the changing area after storing her weapons and armor at the front desk. The paladin indicates one of the curtains to Scandal, showing where men traditionally go to change. She is accompanied by two other female patrons into an adjacent changing area.

Scandal sees where she is pointing and makes his way to the curtain. Of course realizing he had nothing to change into he of course buys a suit to change into. "One of these days, I really need to change more than just my clothing." he says aloud, before exiting and waiting For Zahrani, as he had no idea how this was done.

Zahrani disrobes behind the curtain, her androgynous and impressive musculature eliciting relative silence from the women who had been previously chatting with each other about random goings-on in town. Most of the patrons mind their business, yet some appear intimidated or unsettled by Zahrani, while another pair seem to blush and whisper to each other. She's clearly a woman, some likely thought, yet...she seems otherworldly and impossible. Zahrani keeps to herself as she gowns up into her linens, wrapped in the same way she saw human women garb themselves in towels.

Scandal as scandal entered the area he was able to observe a large pool and the surrounding area, his appearance now without his clothes on well minus for the swimsuit, was while incredibly masculine, was undoubtly if not certainly make the term ripped quite inadequate. For the first time he noticed that some ladies were definitly taking notice but now he started realizing that this new kind of looking at him was not what he was used to, normally people looked at him with fear or with suspciion or back when there were lots of dragons with extreme distaste, all that he could handle, this was new, and felt awkward. "heh, heh, um okay.." He said with a hestiance in his voice.

Zahrani emerges from the changing room, the paladin not terribly impressed with the excessive finery and opulence of the building, or the people within. She had primarily chosen the bathhouse because it was the warmest place to bathe in the winter. She quietly turns to see the dragon standing awkwardly, undoing her braid as she approaches Scandal with a reassuring smile, "This way," she says to him, indicating the least crowded bathing area. She enters the bathwater, removing the towel just before submerging herself in the water.

Scandal managed to smile slightly a little more so as he entered the water shortly after her. As soon as he got in, he reversed his skin density feeling the warmth of the water, "Wow, okay this does feel nice." As he looked at her he asked, "So come here often, or is this an uncommon thing?"

Zahrani submerges her head to let the water soak into her hair, before re-emerging to acquire a bar of soap from an attendant, "Not often, no. When it's not winter, I prefer to bathe in places that aren't as...garish." She was a paladin after all...excess and luxury were not things she actively sought after..however, freezing to death while trying to bathe in a river isn't exactly appealing either. She goes to work washing her hair, then washing her face, shoulders, chest, and so forth. She then turns back to Scandal and asks matter-of-factly, "Would you be comfortable scrubbing my back with this washcloth? I can't reach..." That's Zahrani for you; she was here to clean up and move on.

Scandal watched, for a moment before copying what she did on his own body, then, when she asked he replied. "Of course," He picked up the wash cloth and applied it to her back to so that she could be clean. "Well I don't know about you, but a stream sounds a lot better next time." He said feeling the eyes on him from many women, and some guys which felt even more uncomfortable. "You hungry?"

Zahrani stands up and rinses off the soapy water, turning towards the dragon as she stands up straight, "I could use a meal. Would you be interested in eating at the Temple in Kelay? I have some study materials waiting for me there anyway."
