Fight:Staff vs Sword

From HollowWiki

Cave

Aoshi and Kang (disguised as a elf swormaiden) have a spar.

Kang whistles daintily from under his hooded cloak, his special walking stick held easily in one hand. Upon seeing the young man near the cave entrance, he taps a quick rhythm along the side of the staff and it melts away, flowing upwards along his arm to coat his entire body. Certain that the movements are suitably covered by his thick oilskin covering, he waits precious seconds for the flowing material to settle on his skin. After it stops rippling, he tosses back his hood to reveal an elven woman of indeterminate age. She places one hand on the sword buckled at her waist and waits for aknowledgement.

Aoshi removes his staff that was leaning on the cave wall the moment he hears the tapping. Upon seeing the woman, he starts walking away to get into the clearing, he starts moving the staff in a rotating fashion. First from left hand spinning into the right in front of him. Then in back from left hand to right. Once the rotation is complete, he rests the staff down his side and bows “Aramoth, be praised” Once the bow is complete he places his left foot forward rotating his right and waits.

Kang gives the staff-bearer a lopsided smile that is more mocking that joyful. A lock of ebony hair falls over her deep green eyes. She uses her free hand to tie it back with the rest, organized to a fault. A fight, in honor of the lands false gods. Well, let's do our own dedication. "Krekai," the masked preklek whispers upon his soft exhale. Without taking time to inhale again, he launches forward, still in the appearance of an elven war-wench. What the lycanthropic male makes of an elven woman racing toward him with all the speed that the preklek could infuse into his own genetic makeup is something that might interest Kang, if he weren't so interested in drawing and slicing his sabre across his opponent's dominant arm.

Aoshi watches as elf races for him. His eyes quickly drop to the blade watching as it gets closer and moves for its strike. The staff is quickly brought up and the top end catches the blade on its trajectory knocking it off its intended course with the butt end of the staff raised, he would follow through with the motion swinging for the woman's head, at the moment any impact would be made, either from deflection, block, or successful target hit, the other end of the staff would be brought down pushing the steal staff forcefully into the woman's foot.

Kang releases the blade at the exact nanosecond his blow fails to connect. However, in that nanosecond he adds a little strength to his swing, firmly lodging the weapon into the metal polearm held by Aoshi with a calculated combination of superhuman agility and strength. The reverberations from the blow echo deafeningly in the caves, knocking loose small bits of rock behind the fierce combatants. Kang ducks back and leaps upward, doing a quick half-flip causing his fair-skinned elven feet to meet the topmost arc of the cave opening. A gentle, but swift bending of the knees and kick!! The staff swings down at feet that aren't there, vibrating violently from the previous strike, whilst an elf falls from the sky in perfect form for a dive into a pond. . .if that pond were an acolyte of Aramoth.

Aoshi grunts as his staff is thrusted into the ground. He looks around at any sign of the elf. At the sound of rocks falling, slipping from the cave top, he moves the staff up above his head, positioning the lodged sword upward to both defend from the ariel attack, and use the hilt of the sword as a blunt impale to the falling woman.

Kang grabs the hilt and flicks his wrist. The move turns his dive into a somerrsualt, killing the elven woman's momentum. She steps gracefully to her feet to begin a tug-of-war for the melded weapons by grabbing the handle of her end once more.

Aoshi moves his hand to either side of the weapon, using his thumbs to release a hatching lock. Using the larger weapon as leverage he pulls back, then raises his foot to place a square kick in the womans stomach. At which time he would pull the ends of the staff from the center, revealing a twin set of 2 feet blades. Releasing the the center of the staff hoping that the shift of momentum would cause the elven woman to shift and stumble back. If it were the case Aoshi would walk over to her, place his foot on her stomach and point one of the swords at her neck. “Yield.”

Kang stumbles back, but a lot farther than expected. His disguise, however, lands exactly where Aoshi expected. The elven shell, unable to respond to it's owner's tactile commands, follows the protocols instilled in it's programming. At the word 'yield', she spits up into the man's face quite impressively hitting his cheek from her prone position. "Never, cur." It is entirely expected that the man will stab her, activating stasis protocol five: appearance of death. Kang would retrieve the living deviceAoshicreature when he deems it safe.

Aoshi shakes his head as he looks over the woman. He drops down and picks up the center part of his staff, placing the twin blades in their respective sides, locking the weapons inside to complete the weapon. “Then you're petty, and disgraced.” he says as he holds up the weapon. Taking the sword with him. “Should train more, your footing during the pull was your down fall. To much weight on the back end, and you'll never recover from the fall.” He tosses her the blade before making his exit from the cave.
