  • Kelay Tavern

Built and rebuilt, torn apart and set like stubborn bone, this tavern is the pinnacle of Hollow's entirety, wrought around the premise of peace, equality, and consummate amity. And of course, the old place had seen all of the three, but so much more. Dire markings of claw and steel cut deep into wall panels and floorboards. Set against the land's usual motif of destruction are signs of comfort. Twisting shadows and smoothing out a careful blanket of light with soft, quaint fires, a candelabra dangles down by thick cords, gripping the circular holder. Each twists up, converging upon the center, where they snake about one another and form a thick, secure anchor to Kelay Tavern's high, accommodating ceiling. The candelabra rattle now and again from the inn patrons overhead, pouring down globs of wax to the center of the room, which is wide and unobstructed. Cheaply carpentered tables and chairs grow outward around the bare dancing area, keeping to the rounded theme, and also keeping to a dwarven barkeep's avariciously born taste for 'economical' furniture. Hardly any expense has been wasted on the actual upkeep of the public center though, as can be garnered from the smell of deep pine, rich tobacco, and even richer spirits. Stairs twist away dimly near the high bar. And atop that side rests the inn logs, quill, and ink. This establishment's fine keeper, Mesthak, can be seen smiling out from his post at the bar, straight across to the room's always crackling stone-wrought hearth. Behind him, atop lofty shelves, sits an array of dark, amber, and clear liquids. Food smells waft from somewhere near at hand. A carefully printed and hung sign details the purchasable items here in the place of merriment, loss, laughter, and life. Also, tucked into a corner near one of two windows closest to the tavern doorway is a thickly papered bulletin board. A sign has been added next to the board that reads, 'The management requires patrons be fully inebriated at all times and that no curing spells be performed in this tavern-Thank you'.

Ramsi looks at the woman, she scratched her head. "Well... I was walking from the Underdark..." She paused and raised up. She blinked and when she opened her eyes they changed from mint green to a deep black. Her voice was slow, strained, and creepy. "Ymheshphilun awakes." She said coldly. She looked ghostly. The child stood there looking at the woman, gazing forward. She raised a digit at her, pointing at her randomly. It was like she was being taken over by something.

Ymheshphilum/ Suddenly, a polyphonic wall of sound blasted through the room, from the ground up. Plates rattled, glasses spilled, windows cracked, and the fireplace dimmed. It echoed around the room longer than it should have, and carried a sense of foreboding with it, as if it was the vanguard for something far worse..."

Neema had absolutely no idea what the Underdark was, but continued to listen. Then something about the girl seemed really, really wrong. She didn't like the sound of the next words spoken by Ramsi, even though she had no idea what they meant, either. The avian would've passed off the girl as being a complete lunatic and forgotten the situation, if it weren't for what happened next. Neema froze, eyes clamped shut, hands clapped over her ears. Whatever that noise was, it wasn't pleasant. The tavern suddenly darkening wasn't a very good sign either. The hairs on the back of her neck prickled, but she remained immobile. What was happening?

Ramsi laughed darkly. Her eyes still blackened. "He awakes..." She said again as the sound wafted through the tavern. She turned around, waiting for something. What was she waiting for, though? Stay and see.

Kain paused as he stepped inside, wondering what was going on. Seeing Ramsi, he nodded and was about to ask how her arm was, then realized something was wrong...

Khell slips out from under the table sword still in its defensive position, He digs his back claws into the ground for a better grip.

Ymheshphilun burst forth from the tavern floorboards, a massive centipede-like creature, a deeper black than the new moon in a starless midnight. It's exoskeleton glistened evilly in the firelight, the crackling glow of the fire reflected in it's eyes like flames from the abyss. It reared up, taking nine feet of it's length and turning it into height, towering over most if not all of the occupants. With a terrible, hideous noise like ancient bones snapping asunder, it snapped it's terrifying, indescribable jaws at any occupants. It's two pincer-like claws opened and closed, and it unleashed another burst of sound, this one more powerful than the last. So far, however, it made no move to attack anything. Yet.

Khell dashes at the avian. tackling her to behind a wall. Floorboards round them. Khell glares at the avain "Ever heard of ducking?"

Kain sees a man with a sword and frowns. He didn't know who the target was, or if the sword was pulled for defense. He didn't like what was happening with Ramsi, it looked like she was possessed by something. "Whatever ye be, get outta me friend," he uttered in a flat voice. "Leave Ramsi be, ye cowardly spell-slinger."

Neema thought a lot of things were scary. Dragons especially. But this thing that burst out of the floor was on a whole different level of terrifying to her. It didn't help that it was enormous either, or that it was making noises and snapping its jaws at people, either. The winged woman shivered, and took a few steps back, away from the enormous creature, but likely not far away enough for it to get her if it wanted to. Her hands remained clamped over her ears to block out most of the noise, and her eyes were widened with fear. As much as she wanted to take her eyes off of Ymheshphilun, she couldn't.

Ramsi grinned as the centipede burst through the floor, she ran and jumped upon his back. The noise did not bug her, for she was dragged in by him already. That evil look upon her childish visage. I don't think anyone could get through to her now. Shay was looking up barking. Ramsi glanced at him darkly. Shay then ran off.

Khell leans on the wall, sword drawn in defense. Listening to the man speak. Khell’s teeth clenched hard, his mind focusing on the strange creature.

Kain simply lowers his face guard into position, and draws his sword. He didn't know what exactly he was looking at, but it was clear that this was the thing that had possessed his friend. "Release Ramsi."

Ymheshphilun curled around, staring emotionlessly at the one who called upon Ramsi. Of course, since he had taken her mind, he had seen what she called herself, so this one who was her friend could be considered an annoyance. Contact with his "rider" allowed for quicker transfer of energy, and so the behemoth arthropod was strengthened. He aimed his antennae back, and directed them to Ramsi's mind again. He gave her a directive, then disconnected. Rising up taller, he aimed a claw at Kain, and fired a small crossbow-like dart, dripping with some kind of venom.

Ramsi let the antennae slip through her ears into her mind. Nodding slowly, she snapped her dark gaze to Kain. She shook her head and said in that slow creepy voice. "There is no release. We are one now." She then shifted her gaze back forward. That terrifying visage.

Kain parried the claw, stumbling back slightly from the odd angle, and brought his shield up enough to deflect the bolt, sending it angling up into the wall near the ceiling. Going back into a combat stance, he growls, scanning the creature's body, searching for any points that looked more vulnerable than others, while concentrating mostly on defense. "Get down from there Ramsi! Don't let this... thing possess yer mind. Fight the hold it's got on ye, lass!"

Neema did not like the look of the dart that was fired from Ymheshphilun at one of the other tavern's occupants. She decided that a place to hide might be a good thing to begin searching for while the creature's attention was focused on another. Being careful not to trip like she normally did, Neema quickly and quietly moved toward a table, and crawled under it. It would serve as a temporary hiding place, until she calmed down and figured out what she could do to escape, if that were going to be possible.

Khell looks out form his cover "Who ever your friend was they are gone!" Khell yells at the man.

Ymheshphilun had perhaps only three weak points--the eyes. And they were nine feet in the air, well out of reach of a sword-swing. He tried another attack--firing a spread of spider web-like strands from his top five pairs of legs, meaning to entangle Kain. He began inching forward, sensing victory over the dwarf. Another blast of sound is unleashed, this one focused into a tight beam, aimed at Kain.

Kain keeps his focus on the creature, while responding to the stranger. "Nay, she still be in there somewhere. This cowardly bug had ta choose an injured child, shows how pathetic it be."

Khell pull a stone from his pocket and tosses it at the creatures eye as hard as he could.

Ramsi grins, she looks down at Kain from the height she was at. "Nay. I chose Him." She laughs coldly. She seriously looked dead. Injured like that. She had that pale visage with underlined purple on her eyes. Her eyes were black, those bandages wrapped around her head. Zombie-like child! Yeah!

Kain sees the thing preparing another attack, and dives forward under a table as the webbing is released. Gritting his teeth as the sound hits, he surges up, flipping the table over as he drives his sword forward and up. Like with dragons, trying to slash through scales is mostly pointless, but getting between, then under, damage can be inflicted. The chitinous body of the creature seemed like it would have a similar defensive effect to dragon scale... While he knew the wound wouldn't be nearly enough to kill the creature, it might prove enough of a distraction to allow Ramsi to regain some control over herself.

Neema peeked her head out from underneath the table, watching the creature and the girl perched on top of it. She was still terrified, naturally, but seeing that both child and giant monster were both focused on one person made her feel safe enough to be able to watch, for a minute or two.

Ymheshphilun was almost as fast as a striking serpent when he needed to be, and slung stones weren't considered a threat. However, it did glance off the outside of one of the larger eyes, and it hurt. Snapping his jaws ferociously, he redirected his attention to the stone-thrower, blasting forward unexpectedly, firing more webbing from those endlessly pulsating legs. He made a terrible, gruesome whispering noise as he moved, magnified by the hardwood floor. If the attack succeeded, Khell would be smashed up against a wall, with a venomous, evil mouth only inches from his own.

Kain reacted surprisingly quickly for one with so much armor on. Spinning on the ball of one foot, he rushed along the creature's path, using a chair, to a table, then leapt onto the creature's neck as it lowered itself toward Khell. Knocking Ramsi off, and losing his sword in the process, he drew his knife and aimed the three inch blade in a quick jab for the softest looking part of the creature, that being the nearest eye.

Ramsi flew off the centipede, hitting the ground roughly for the child. Hitting her head once again. Her eyes opened again, first mint green normal... Then they went back to black. The back of her head bled more where those trolls got her. "Ye fool! Don't ye darrre!" She said hoarsly. Powerful young one. She looked up at Kain in a killing type of anger. She was lost inside.

Neema is still watching the scuffle from underneath a table. She frowned as the girl was knocked off of the creature, and gathered up the courage to crawl out from her hiding place to at least try to get the girl away. The girl may have been acting creepy, but it was still a child. She had to at least try something to help. Pulling her away from the creature might be a solution for all she knew.

Khell shifted his feet and leaned his shoulder on the edge of the wall. His green eyes focus on the creature. Knowing he had but one shot. Khell kicked off leading the sharpened edge of his sword towards the creature eye. Khell thought was to blind the beast and try to save the child.

Quii stopped, frozen in her tracks after entering the tavern. A giant bug in the center of the local watering hole was something she hadn't expected to see, though these lands just seemed to get weirder and weirder. Light green eyes watched the others as they scurried and attacked the creature causing such a fuss, and instead of reacting as they had, she decides to wait it out for a moment. Sure, she'd move this way and that, dodging anything that was tossed, knocked or slid her way, though a few times she'd stumbled having moved just a second too late. Her eyes, only a few shades lighter than that of her flesh remain on the struggle, if it can be called such, at hand before the female finds a place she deems safest to take in the sights before her.

Ymheshphilun jerked to the side, not only because he felt a sharp pain in one eye but because he could see the shift in Khell's weight and knew what was coming. Twisting his body around, he smashed into a wall, attempting to crush Kain against it or at least dislodge him. From his tail end extended a barbed, almost serrated stinger, and it whipped towards this irksome dwarf, aiming to inject a lethal dose of neurotoxin. Khell, he was forgotten. Kain was the one in danger once again.

Ramsi nods. She then turned to Neema. "Get off!" The child was very powerful now. She would try to use her one arm to throw Neema down. Hopefully, she would escape the woman. If not, the child would try to fight her off. Then, of course help Ym.

Khell landed on his back on a table with a loud thump. "By my gods." Khell rolled of the table and onto the floor. Khell grab his sword and looked at the beast. He posed himself for a second attack.

Kain : Losing the grip on his knife after the downward thrust due to the movement of the creature, he grabbed for anything he could to keep from tumbling off. Grasping the creature's antenna, he grunted as it slammed him into the wall. Gasping for breath, he still managed to keep a death grip, and stay on the creature. Growling angrily, he flailed a bit with his other hand until he got a grip on the other antenna, then pulled himself further onto the creature's head. Devoid of weapons, he wasn't sure what exactly he was going to do next, but figured he was in a decent enough position for the moment...

Neema didn't think a child would as much strength as Ramsi had shown. The woman wobbled awkwardly when shoved, and her grip loosened on the girl's arm. It took her a few moments to let what just happened process through her brain, but she grabbed onto the child again. Neema didn't know what was attracting Ramsi to that monstrous creature, but it was obviously really dangerous and she didn't want the child to be harmed. Her voice was trembling from fear, but she tried to keep it steady, to calm the child, "Don't worry dear, everything will be alright. I can help," she was indicating the injury to Ramsi's head, and trying to distract the girl, to pull her away to a safe distance. "I'm Neema. What's your name?"

Veriun appears on top of a rafter, seemingly pulling a cloak of invisibility off his form. Suddenly standing upon the wooden structure with a raised eyebrow. His piercing gaze looking upon the situation. A slight blue light surrounding his neck, looking abnormally calm. Almost casual.

Ramsi growled. She tried to pull away. If out of her grip, she would grab her sword. "I don't need help!" The blood was dripping on the ground now, making a small puddle. "Why should I tell ye? Ye gonna get everrryone afterrr meh? Huh?" She asked darkly, pointing the sword at her. Her ghost-like look, glanced back to Ym, she shook her head and turned back to Neema. "I just don't need help. I have my help alrrready." The truth was that the child was scared to stab the woman, she just wanted her to back away.

Ymheshphilun would have grinned, if he was capable. Retracting the stinger, it reared back and tried to slam Kain against the wall a second time, probably driving the wind from the dwarf's lungs. His antennae strove for the nearest practical facial orafice, which, coincidentally, was the mouth. Using a claw to hold it open, he attempted to stick the same antennae that were being gripped so tightly at their bases into the roof of Kain's mouth.

Khell ran toward the creator, jumping off of a table his sword tip posed for another of the eyes. Khell's wings open giving him the extra height needed. "DIE BEAST!"

Neema didn't like it when sharp pointy objects, swords especially, pointed at her. Who would? She couldn't snatch it away from the girl, since the winged woman was sure she wouldn't even know how to hold the weapon properly, and she knew that with her being so clumsy a sword in hand would not end well. There was way too much going on for her to pay attention to just one thing, and Neema appeared flustered. She regained composure after a deep breath or five, and pointed at the girl's head. "You're bleeding. Now put that down and let me help you," her eyes followed Ramsi's glance over at the creature, and an idea sparked in her head. "If you let me help you, I'll let you return to your friend," It was an obvious lie, but she hoped it would work.

Veriun shakes his head slightly at seeing the positively HORRIBLE tactics being utialized by the defenders with a sigh. Standing on his rafter as if nothing could hurt him. Giving off a deep sigh as he studied all of them with a gaze that seemed to read all of them as if they were textbooks. "Hasty."

Kain scowled, then pulled his head back, wrapped the antenna around his hands for better grip, then got his feet under him. Bracing himself, he gritted his teeth as the tips of the antenna still aimed for his faceguard, he began pulling, seeking to rip first one, then possibly the other right out of the creature's head.

Ramsi shook her head. She felt the back of it and it was wet. Looking at her fingers she saw the dark red. She then replied. "No! Nobody touches meh!" She only said the truth, she didn't like being touched. By nobody. Before all this she refused a woman at the mines. She then couldn't handle it. She turned around and ran off. She looked up at Kain. She mumbled. "I'll get ye too..." She said in that dark look, black eyes staring up at him.

Kain said to Ramsi, "Get ahold of yerself. Ye ain't no slave ta this bug. Fight it Ramsi!"

Khell made contact with his target and drives his sword as deep into the creator's eye as possible. Twisting it to cause as much pain as possible. Gripping with his hind claws to give him balance.

Ramsi said to you, "Don't tell meh what to do! I'll only fight ye! Get off of Him!"

Ymheshphilun caught, out of the corner of one of his good eyes, the flying form of Khell. He whipped around, simultaneously trying to fling Kain free, and hopefully launch him into Khell. Kill two foes with one toss. If it worked, he would charge Neema, firing darts and webbing. If it didn't, he'd wield Kain like a bludgeon, smashing him into things, and once more emitting one of those horrible blastts of sound.

Kain said to Ramsi, "I don't listen ta bugs. The real Ramsi would know that. Think fer yerself, don't be no slave ta some bug. Get it outta yer head!"

Ramsi feels her head, she then replies to Kain, her eyes getting to that mint color again. "No... It hurrrts..." She was talking about her head. How it was bleeding too much. But then she snaps into black eyes again. Shaking the pain off. Though, it was slowly killing her. She needed to snap out of it.

Khell hit the wall and lands on the floor in pain. Khell clench’s his teeth and rolls to his side. In his hind claw he still held two small scales of the beast.

Ramsi said to you, "There is no going back. We are -one- now."

Kain grunts, wrapping another loop of the antenna around his gauntleted hands, then found nothing but air under his feet as he was whipsawed first one way, then the other. "Ye damn bug. Leave me friend alone!" Finding himself dangling in front of it's face for a moment, he kicks it's ruptured eye, hoping to use the space as a foothold, before being flipped back up into his original position atop it's head, as the creature reacted to the kick. His hands were still locked in a tight grip, as he slammed down onto the chitinous plates, groaning from the force of the impact.

Neema let a frustrated sigh pass her lips. She wanted to go and help Ramsi, but she had already moved way too close for comfort to Ymheshphilun. She weighed her options. Neema could stay where she was, most likely run out of the tavern and be safe, or she could approach Ramsi, near that thing, most likely to be injured or killed to help some little kid who didn't want her help in the first place. Neema wasn't thinking very logically at the moment, so she chose the second option. However she summoned up the courage to move toward Ramsi and the creature had to have been a miracle, but then Neema realized that she chose the worst option of the two. She managed to reach Ramsi without being harmed, and moved to grab her and attempt to pull her away once again, but the netting spit out by Ymheshphilun caught her off guard and sent her toppling to the floor, trapped. Great job, Neema.

Helich enters. Simple enough. Cept for, chyaknow the chaos. So he elects to stand at the door, which remained open, and watched with a curious interest in the guise of a very tall, very dark Drow.

Khell grew tired of this game. He sheathed his sword and closed his eye. With a roar Khell shifted to his Dragon form. He looks at the beast. "I'm done playing..." Khell lowers his head, "Come beast, let me feast on your dead flesh"

Ramsi 's breathing went berserk. She needed healing. She pressed her hand to her head and a blue light flickered. No good. "Heh..." I suppose she wasn't powerful in healing. She was a child and it took to much energy. She wouldn't care, she then took her sword and turned towards Neema. "What arrre ye doin'?!" She would say furiously. She got a little dizzy and trembled a bit. She then got straight again, her black eyes staring at Neema. "Ye arrre foolish! Weak!" The child would say.

Ymheshphilun let out a pained, screaming, multipitch roar whose harmonics echoed around the landscape for a very long distance. Shaking his head more violently than before, he jerked backwards, then tried to slam Kain into the floor, grabbing onto the dwarven body with his claws, squeezing him, trying to crush his foe. His eyesight, though dimmed, was not gone yet, due to having compound eyes.

Helich crosses his arms over his chest and watches Khell quietly.

Ymheshphilun shouted, "*pained, screaming, multipitch roar that echoes for a long distance*"

Khell charges the creature clawing towards its eyes. His fangs bared. He was out for blood.

Neema was well aware that she was foolish and weak, and didn't need to be reminded again. She would've said something snappy if it weren't for a few things, like having a sword pointed at her again, that giant monster thrashing about, the noise, and all of that good stuff. After taking a long while to tear herself free from the netting that held her to the floor, she tried to make yet another grab at Ramsi. This time she didn't plan on letting go, whether the kid had a sword or not. "You're going to die if you don't let me take care of that," again, she was indicating to the wound on Ramsi's head, "Please come with me? I want to help."

Ramsi said to Khell, "Ye fool! Ye can not beat Him! We are -one-!"

Kain grunted as he slammed into the floor, and broke out into a sweat as the metal of his armor squeeled under assault by the claws. "No way 'm I gonna let some damn bug kill me," he grunted breathlessly, squirming first one way, then the other, keeping the claws from getting a full grip that would allow for maximum pressure. As he manuvered, he spotted his sword, laying far out of reach, then rolled again as a divet began putting painful pressure on his right abdomin. Grabbing a barstool that came into reach, he swung it at the creature's 'face' aiming at the general area where it's eyes were, though in a rushed fashion.

Ramsi smiled at Ym. Her wounds started to reverse themselves. No more blood dripped, but she was ill and would be weak if going back to normal. "I don't need help anymorrre." She grinned a evil toothy grin. She would let the woman hold onto her. But she turned her sword towards her. "Now... What arrre ye gonna do?" She blinked wisely.

Khell charges the beast throwing as much weight as Khell could muster. His claw out reached to inflict some damage.

Ymheshphilun twisted to the side once again, being struck a glancing, virtually painless blow by the stool. Letting go of Kain and simply trying to trample him on his way to face the dragon, he reared up once more, firing not just streams of webbing, but another burst of sound and venomous darts--one right after another, all aimed in slightly different directions, making the attacks very hard to dodge.

Kain is too distracted to notice much of anything except the claws trying to kill him, and the dragonish looking shape passing over his mostly prone body, atm.

Dawn unaware of the chaos happing in the tavern. Makes her way though the door, basket in hands. Looking around to find a table to sit at, that's until her gaze falls on her adopted brother fighting some strange giant insect. "K,ain!!" shrieking loudly quickly reaching of her bow slung over her shoulder, then stops her daughter, "Veriun!" rushing over to her fiancé. With out another word the avianess dumps the basket on his lap and lobes her bow, aiming it at the beast she beings chanting, the arrow starting to glow blue, pulling back just a bit. Seeing as how they were in a closed spaces. She releases, the arrow shooting towards Kain and the insect hopefully hitting it instead.

Neema had never seen anything like wounds healing themselves with no one touching them before. That plan about not letting go of the child was scrapped, and she let Ramsi's arm drop. Neema didn't know whether or not the girl was still injured, judging by appearance alone, but she could tell the girl was still out of her mind. Neema began to back away when the sword was pointed at her yet again, and fell silent. There wasn't much she could do check and see if Ramsi was alright with that damn sword in the way.

Ramsi nodded at Neema. "Yeah... Thought so." All of a sudden Shay came rushing back and knocked Ramsi down. "Heh!" She fell and dropped her sword. Her eyes changing mint. She couldn't get up. "Help me..." She would say faintly. Mist filled her eyes, the child too weak to do anything. Yeah, the blood stopped, but she was still too weak now without her power. She was losing the controlled connection at this moment. Everything throbbed. "Please..."

Khell feels a dart fly into his wing and arm. The pain enrages Khell more. Khell bites at the creators face and antenna.

Kain finds himself free of the claws for a moment, then is bowled over as it rushes, it's many feet trampling him. Groaning as the beast passes, he crawls toward his knife, takes in a underhand position, uses his other hand to hold himself up, and tries to catch his breath and clear the starbursts of colors from his eyes. His ears were ringing, and he was mostly deaf at the moment, due to the piercing shreaks of the giant centipede.

Ymheshphilun bit back, his venomous jaws attempting to pretty much mulch anything they bit. His claws ripping at dragon scale, his coils attempting to wrap around the foe, he was enraged and moved rapidly. The powerful jaws and claws of the dragon crushed at his exoskeleton, doing damage, but so far it was ignorable.

Neema had her chance to help the child, now the sword was dropped. First thing Neema did was kick the weapon so it would slide far enough across the tavern's floor so it could be out of Ramsi's reach again. That kick ended up hurting her foot more than it actually helped, but the winged woman could worry about a stubbed toe later. The child was light, so very carefully she scooped Ramsi up into her arms, and maneuvered her way over to a table knocked onto its side; a makeshift barricade of sorts. Carefully, Neema would lay the child down, and try to figure out what exactly she could do to help. With the bleeding gone, she couldn't see any outside injuries. Whatever was wrong had to be internal, as far as Neema knew. Too bad she couldn't see through people. "What hurts, dear?" she quietly asked, concern taking over her features, "I'm going to try to help you, but you can't go running off again. Understand me?"

Khell drives his claw as deep into the creator's eyes blinding it. Khell ripped and claw at the creator's face mouth and antenna.

Ramsi sobbed lightly, she stuttered. "I-I can't c-contrrrol i-it..." She hesitated and whined. "My head!" She shouted. She didn't care for her broken arm, for that would take time to heal up. First the woman would probably have to unwrap the bandages on her head. Of course they were covered with the wet blood, the child was very pale, almost white. She felt sick to her stomach and felt like throwing up everywhere. No connection was back, thank goodness for the child. She was slowly dying and she really needed help. She closed her eyes lightly.

Ymheshphilun once more unleashed a massive burst of pure sound, not only in pain but also in an attack, as well as an attempt at alternate sight. The vibrations not only blasted at the dragon's eardrums, but they showed him what was going on via a highly advanced echolocation system. Without eyesight, though, he didn't stand much more chance of winning this fight, and knew it. He was being clawed in the face, and that hurts. Deciding for the moment to abandon this fight, to live another day, he uncoiled himself from Khell, and plunged deep into the ground, through the same hole he emerged from. He sent one last burst of mental energy to Ramsi, then vanished into the ground, not seen again this night.

Kain managed to catch his breath, and clear his head enough to stand up and realizes the situation. First, he scrambled over and retrieved his sword, putting his knife away in the process, then headed over to Dawn. Glancing from the basket to Veriun up in the rafters, he looked at Dawn, then the two huge beings clawing and biting at each other. Grabbing one of the few tables still upright, he pulled it over, then climbed up onto it. "Git up on me shoulders sis, ye kin hand up the basket ta Veriun, then we kin teach this bug not ta mess with our friends."

Khell slumps to the ground slowly shifting back to his humanoid form. "Argh... gods that hurts." khell laid on the ground bloody and tired.

Ymheshphilun vanished before your eyes, perhaps never to be seen again.

Veriun jumps of the rafter as the beast leaves with a slight 'humph' sound. landing on the roughed up floor with a slight stepping sound. glancing over the situation with a neutral face. awaiting law to fade now.

Dawn stares wide eyed at Kain coming over to her. Clearly it was over didn't need to do such a thing.

Neema didn't take the bloodied bandages off of Ramsi's head right away. She needed to get a couple things out of her sock. Why? She didn't have pockets, and used her socks to hold her things. After yanking a sock from her foot, she pulled out thread and a needle for stitches, and set them off to the side. Then, very slowly, and extremly carefully, so as to not harm the child any further, she began to peel off the bloody bandages, revealing the gash. She used her sock (it was the cleanest bit of clothing on her at the moment) to carefully dab away most of the blood so she could see the gash better, and began stitching the child's head back together. She hadn't given anything to Ramsi to make the experience less painful since she had nothing of that sort on her at the moment, so she kept whispering to Ramsi, in hopes to calm her down, "Be still, this is going to hurt, but your head will be better and stop bleeding once I'm finished."

Dawn said to you, "Try to keep yourself alive until after the wedding, won't you Kain."

Kain, seeing the beast retreat, nods in appreciation to the dragon, then looks around. Not seeing Ramsi, he gets worried. "Ramsi?" Waiting for a response, he stays close to Dawn and Violet, while Veriun joined them. "Ramsi, be ye here?"

Khell drags himself to his bag and pulls out a few herbs and slowly treats his wounds.

Ramsi blinked. Her eyes went black again. That last mental note she got from Ym. She actually pulled away from the stitching. How dangerous is that? She took the blood from her own head and wrote it on the board of the tavern. ~Ymheshphilun awakes~ She then turned around dark eyed, then finally she collapsed.

Kain said to Dawn, "Aye. But Ramsi be a friend, 'n that thing were posessin' 'er. Hope she be okay now... Oi, I need a drink."

Dawn glaces to Ramsi, nodding slowly.

Khell slowly stand and limp over to Kain. "you fight well sir." Khell bows slowly hiding his pain.

Kain sighs as Ramsi comes into sight from behind the table, then groans in concern as he sees her eyes were black. Then she collapsed. "Hopefully that be a good sign," he uttered, not sounding at all sure of himself. "Any medics?" He glances to Dawn. "Think ye could...?"

Kain nods, the disfigured armor not allowing him to return the bow. "But not well enough ta take that thing out by meself. Thanks fer yer help. Name's Kain, explorer, student 'o the sword, 'n Prime smith 'o Larket. Glad ye was here 'n decided ta help."

Neema didn't like the way her needle jerked while she was attempting to stitch Ramsi up, but there was nothing she could do now besides get up, and try again. This was becoming way too tedious. The girl had already pulled away from the stitches, ripping them out, by the time Neema had risen to her feet from behind the table to go after her, and collapsed. Great. She frowned, and knelt beside Ramsi, hoping this time she wouldn't have anymore interruptions while she tried stitching her together again. So much blood had already been lost by the child already. Any more, and it was likely that she might die. She didn't bother paying attention to what the others were doing after the creature disappeared. Her attention was focused solely on Ramsi.
