Past

A life always begins in a birth, the warmth and protection of a mother's love that cradles upon one's form. A dryad is normally born once a tree reached a certain age of a couple of centuries to allow it to bear 'fruit' A dryad is soon cultivated within its trunk or branch for a handful of decades before a forest spirit is born.

A life that was stolen...

Weeks before Chisel's birth, a local craftsman went to the forest to gather some wood. A personal project of his... Her mother tree was unlucky enough to be this person's prey. With a swing of an ax, Chisel's life ended before it even began. Her corpse slowly dying within the wood as the man brought it home. He opened it, only to discover the dead dryad inside.

A man's usual response is guilt and horror to what he has done, probably even attempt to return the branch or replant her corpse back to the earth. But instead he defiled it.

Now think of it as you are in a trance, aware of your surroundings, able to feel every bit of detail, smell every bit of scent, hear every bit of sound.

Feel every bit of pain.

Unable to scream in pain or agony, no grunt, no resistance, not even a single eye movement as you silently feel every bit of torture.

Every strike of the hammer... a chisel... wood bored through one's form, scraped with rough sandpaper, feeling every excruciating detail as your skin and flesh gets damaged...

Only to be finally drowned in liquids... constantly drowning and yet unable to breathe.

Present

A curse perhaps? How does it feel to be constantly filled with anger and agony and yet a mere craftsman's death was not enough to sate a person's need?

Bled, Killed, Murdered and reborn...

A corpse who lost track of her own past is now wandering in the forest, wanting to die. A normal dryad does not need the sunlight to replenish its energy as much as she does. Their skin remains upon their form even at night. But what about her? A woman who's skin was peeled off on purpose.

Each day, the poor forest spirit tries to run away from dawn. As soon as sunlight vanishes from the sky, she loses the ability to maintain her 'skin' Lacking the natural capability of storing sunlight's energy upon her form due to her torture, Her skin falls off, exposing her flesh into the very air. The agonizing pain causes the poor woman to change from her usual state. She loses her ability to think rationally and tend to attack anything that moves with an ax

A marionette lurking about with voices that she was able to mimic, laughter and cries of pain and agony tend to become her call. Luring prey deeper in the forest.

By morning however, she is aware that she transformed but nonetheless oblivious of what occurred on the previous night... not exactly something she would want to know about. Attempted suicide became her 'hobby' for the first few years but any plant life that surrounds her attempts to help the forest spirit. As they would naturally do, making her attempts, pointless.

Desperation and Depression soon filled her that aside from knowing the horrors that she does every night fall... Her mother, Her tree... thinks she is dead. Because she really died. She could no longer hear her call... Everyday Chisel goes up to every old tree she can find, only to ask them if they are her parent.

It was heart aching and yet she could not do anything about it. She is lost and has no other options.

Current

After numerous days of wandering into the world, she has already lost track of how many trees she has spoken to, to which land she has been. Wandering, living alone in the forest with a trail of corpses upon her wake.

She did not did this on purpose... then again, the craftsman she axed to death as he pleaded for his life and her forgiveness. She never wanted to be a monster.

Currently she has been wandering within the Sage Forest and found herself around the city of Larket.

After speaking with Artia, she was soon tasked as a groundskeeper of a sealed off section of the Garden. Where the most dangerous and poisonous plants live. As a dryad she is naturally immune to these dangers and has been destroying pests ever since.
