In a time before the northern glaciers froze there was a tribe of centaurs in the land known as Frostmaw. This tribe was made up of a very territorial bunch. All of which were of a large breed. All were bred as warriors, but also were gifted with the power of Ice manipulation through ritual at the coming of age.

Once the glaciers began to melt one from this tribe was sent to explore the land beyond the glacier. His name? Aldred. Within weeks of his leaving the centaur came back to his home with bountiful information on the new land only to find the freshly decaying corpses of what looked to be all of his tribe. With rage in his heart the centaur still hunts to find the killers of his tribe.

Without haste the centaur united with the Black Lotus, suspecting that the clan’s enemy clan was the culprit. Quickly the warrior rose to a leadership position in the clan, only to find that the enemy was not his true enemy.

Upon a later return to Frostmaw Aldred found out that not all of his tribe was killed. there were several patrol parties out at the time of the massacre and also several families in different parts of the area who were able to escape the horror. Seeing the achievments and power that the centaur had made, the tribe offered him the chance to be their leader. With this group found the search continues, ever quickening, to find the killer.
