Physiology

Werebears are known mostly because of their ability to "shape shift" from a humanoid form into the form of a bear. Owing to that nature, born werebears are usually large, even in their humanoid form, and all of them tend to be quite strong. Their physical stature plays a large part in their chosen professions, as the overwhelming majority of them become warriors or some other physically oriented class. Their features vary widely, with some born werebears somewhat resembling bears in their humanoid state, while turned werebears will continue to look the way they did before they were bitten. There are many different types of werebears, as many as there are types of standard bears.

Notice: Please bear in mind that the werebear, being a lycan that is different from the normal werewolf, requires admin approval to play.

Psychology

Mostly based on the bear's previous race (if any). However, the fact that a werebear is a combination of man and animal does play a part in the way he or she thinks and acts. Most werebears are solitary, territorial types, preferring to hunt and live alone. Family groups are sometimes known to stick closer, and there have been a few recorded cases of two or three bears forming a sort of alliance, but that is rare. There has never been any recorded pack of werebears, like their cousins of the wolf variety form. Their natures simply cannot handle it, and an attempt to make such a pack would likely end in death.

As with all other lycans, bears have the ability to turn into a savage half-animal form, somewhere between man and bear. This form is dangerous for all involved, because the individual's mind is a mixture of all that is bad in both worlds, normally resulting in a feral, uncontrolled beast that can be neither reasoned with nor frightened off.

Werebears & Religion

Because of their ability to transform into bears, these individuals tend to draw closer to nature deities, the most prominent one being Hind, God of Nature. However, due to the widely varied nature and origin of werebears, their religious views are as diverse as their appearances.
