Eyes: Grey, stormy.
Hair: Lacklustre silver.

Trivia:

- Regularly suffers from strong headaches. He doesn't like to talk about it and tries to pretend they aren't happening.

- He'd prefer to talk to your corpse than you, really. It's nothing personal. The living are tolerated, for the most part.

- Holding conversations is not a particular strength of his - he tries, but only if he absolutely has to.

- For the magic-sensitive kind: he has the same aura of binding magic around him as his flesh golems, but much fainter.

- Nervous around people but oddly daring when it comes to throwing himself headlong into danger. Rationality isn't a strong point.

- A very bad dancer. Awkward sense of balance coupled with his clumsiness and trying to execute timed movements? Yeah, no.

Appearance

Serrure is not one to stand out. Rather, he prefers to blend as much as possible, to the point that he is a man who tends to pass by unnoticed in a crowd, who lingers alone at the back of the room, a wallflower. You don't remember everyone you walk by in the street, do you? Serrure is one of these unremarkable background figures, easily forgotten and rarely remembered as anything more than the vague image of a tall man in a long, dark coat. It's how he prefers to live - quietly, only drawing attention to himself when necessary.

He stands at 5'11" and is a touch on the skinny side, not the build of a physical fighter, certainly, though that doesn't mean he's entirely incapable of defending himself. His hair is a rather lacklustre shade of grey; the dull tones of unpolished silver. Aside from keeping it cut short-ish, Serrure does little else with it, so it's left to stick out at weird angles and compose itself into an overall bedheaded look, although he doesn't get it that way from sleeping. His eyes are also grey, stormy and faintly piercing, but rarely enough to intimidate as he's usually staring vacantly into the distance or avoiding eye contact altogether. There are dark circles beneath his eyes, showing a distinct lack of sleep.

He's thin-nosed, his face clean-shaven and pointed, with cheek bones that are not particularly prominent, and eyebrows that are noticeably darker than his hair. Due to his insomnia and general bad eating habits, his pale skin is not in the best condition, marred further by the presence of strange burns that creep up from his neck, marking a portion of the left side of his face, up to his ear, and part of the skin beneath his eye. He might almost be considered mildly attractive if he cleaned up a bit.

Wears a high-collared black dress coat with a vaguely military style trim up the chest punctuated by a row of silver buttons, over a plain white dress shirt, dark trousers, and black boots. While they may have looked elegant a long time ago, now everything he owns has turned worn and weary, as dishevelled as he is. The only skin usually visible is his face and Serrure takes great care not to reveal more than that, keeping his gloves on at all times, almost.

Personality

Introverted. Hesitant. Indecisive. Blunt.

Generally polite and soft-spoken, with a gentle tone of voice occasionally plagued by a fleck of anxiety - something he always tries to reign in quickly. Often, you'll find him with a distant and vacant expression, like he's disconnected to the world. When he's actually focused on reality, he's a little less out there and more tentative around people than most. Kind of forgetful, pretty clumsy and accident-prone, he likes to sit in high places but more often than not falls over when he tries to jump down, as he trips over his own feet a lot. Prone to masking his emotions and projecting a calm disposition because even if Serrure is naturally quite a calm person, he isn't suited to or fond of social interaction and thus tends to be nervous around people, but is reluctant to let it show.

He's diligent in anything he takes the time to do and never leaves something unfinished, though it might take him a while to finish sometimes. Introverted and usually level-headed, Serrure is intelligent and observant, though because of his chronic lack of sleep his sense of judgement is not always the best. He's a bit of a pacifist, and also isn't that keen on killing others - dealing with what's already dead is not a problem for him, however.

Job Information

Serrure is trained as a necromancer but his skills in the art of actually raising the undead are somewhat lacking. His true talent lies in the binding of spirits through the use of arcane runes and wards, and in the creation of flesh golems capable of housing these spirits. He works as a paranormal investigator predominantly around the area of Vailkrin, disposing of unruly ghosts and turning them into a useful labour workforce by way of trapping them in the bodies of his golems. He also has a rather extensive knowledge of anatomy - required and expected as he builds his own golems. Buying in the parts is cheaper than buying in the whole thing fully assembled and, conveniently, he lives quite near a body shop.

Partners in Crime

(sort of)

Anu | Who is...suspicious. Apparently hasn't revealed itself to anybody, yet; it's the strange presence at the top of the stairs in Serrure's house, and seems to act as some sort of guardian, moving accompanied by the sounds of clanking metal, oddly. The necromancer can be heard speaking with it sometimes.

Brute | Largest and toughest of Serrure's flesh golems, and unique in that he is capable of speaking - if only single words, usually. Likes to introduce himself as 'Sir Brute', thanks to Hildegarde. Occasionally disobeys orders even though his runes are functioning perfectly. Serrure is very perplexed by this.

Chandra | Grey winter wolf hailing from Frostmaw; a wild and wary thing. He originally ran as part of a large pack but, after being injured, was abandoned and left behind by the others. The wound on his foreleg is still healing, and Serrure is his 'pack', now. They're still rather cautious around each other but there seems to be an understanding, somewhere.

[Category:Cool as Heck]

(okay only sometimes, and never as cool as our resident Eidolon)

Hello I'm Riou and yes I am the one behind that idiot :'> I speak fluent Tumblr, Fangirl, and Frantic Keysmash, but I'm just as capable of using common English - I simply choose not to unless I'm writing a post, because I am lazy. I like to RP and watch mediocre movies at stupid times of the night and sleep til the sun goes down, then do it all over again. Sometimes I draw, but mostly I sketch and scream internally at the thought of having to do actual lineart. I cannot actually draw in a straight line without it trying to escape in various directions all at once, which is why I prefer to sketch, where I use short, sharp strokes to eventually reach the same outcome. To be honest, that really mirrors my entire life.

My music is often loud, but not necessarily harsh. Coffee is my third love (behind writing and one human being). There are some things I still hold on to. Bromances are great things. <3

Serrure is...different. We'll see how this goes. I have never touched a necromancer before but sometimes I pretend to know what I'm doing (I don't. At all). Actually, I've never played a human before, either. Still getting used to this guy's personality, so I apologise if he's a bit erratic (like more than he should be).

A note on RP: Anything your character discovers about Serrure should be kept IC, please and thanks! :)
