Character Biography

I am sorry to inform you, dear reader, that Rachelle Laurette Fournier is a downright terrible person.

She is not of the great evils that far too often plague this land, mind. Rather, she is appalling in the exact sort of way most storybook villains aren’t -- that is to say, quite accidentally and through no amount of introspection or forethought whatsoever. It is simply in her nature.

But first, her appearance, so that one may know of whom I speak. She is rather plain, in truth, and therefore difficult to describe visually -- but one would never know it from the way she preens. The curly, mousy brown hair she cares so much for frames large green eyes and an otherwise unremarkable face on an unremarkable body. In truth, I suspect she is at least marginally aware of her ordinary looks -- but what she lacks by birth she simply makes up for with money. And though her mannerisms may be grandiose, her sense of fashion is even more so. Even when traveling upon difficult roads, she is never without at least a gaudy accessory or two.

In terms of personality, Rachelle is at once vain and possessing of a parchment-thin self-esteem that necessitates constant admiration and praise. She is often callous, but creates a veneer of compassion just thick enough to rope those not really paying attention into her circle. Friends are made methodically rather than due to common ground -- each person is meant to fill a niche. Divergence from these roles is tolerated insofar as she can continue to twist it to her benefit; else, she will likely cast them away while painting herself as the victim.

In short, one might call her a narcissist.

Despite this, she is cherished by all whom she is close to, and they serve to exacerbate her delusions of being universally adored. She tends to make acquaintances quickly with a facade of perfect propriety and charm, and those who manage to remain in her good graces may never see the crueler truth beneath. These precious few are showered with many a generous gift, for she seems to fancy herself somewhat of a philanthropist. And being that she is the only daughter of a wealthy tradesman, she surely has the gold to spare, but her goals are never as purely altruistic as they may at first appear. They are, as always, another form of manipulation. The price for these trinkets will be paid eventually. I know I paid dearly for mine.

I implore you, dear reader: keep your distance if you can, or make a quick escape should you find yourself unavoidably in her company. Her professional work and her cooking can be trusted, but nothing more.

Heed my warning or heed it not -- I have at least done my part in the telling.

-- B.

Benoit, I know that’s you. Cease this petty defamation and spreading of falsehoods at once. And please, come home -- your mother misses you terribly.

I miss you.

We all miss you.

Out-of-Character

My schedule is all over the place. I log in fairly frequently, but not usually for particularly long periods of time. Hmail works best for me, or we can schedule a time to RP live.

If your character is purchasing enchanting whatnot from Rachelle, any haggling or etc. is strictly IC. You don't have to give me gold OOC at all (unless you want to).
