Kama'Lia The Lycan Druid - The Hermit Woman of the Dark Twisted Forest in Vailkrin

Name: Kama'Lia Adrastea (Pronounced Kah-mah-Lee-ah Ah-drah-stee-ah)

Race: Lycanthrope (Kama is a pureblooded elf, but due to both of her parents being bitten lycanthropes, she became a naturally born one.)

Age: 38 (Looks 20. And since she's an elf, that's rather young for her age.)

• She was an apprentice to her parents, and learned how to use her skills. However, being a lycan makes using magic more difficult. She always seems as though it’s second nature to her, but when it comes to healing with magic it becomes obvious to just how much trouble she really has with it.

Appearance

At first glance one would see a beautiful, lithe, and curvy female who is unmarred on all sides, due to her staying to herself. She has ghostly pale skin and black hair that’s so long, were she standing, it would curtain around her form and reach her ankles, covering most of her body. On closer inspection, it would be obviously noted that her hair is also messy in parts and she has smudges of soil all over her. She truly is a disheveled looking woman… Usually, Kama does not wear any clothing. Though it’s because of having to shift forms, and that she practically lives in her wolf form. But that’s ok, when she’s in human form, because she’s got that lovely long hair to cover herself, and she generally stays in wolf form anyways. Her nails are black, hard, and claw-like (to the point where they grow sharp tips, but can’t cut skin without the usual effort that needs to be put in.) but they look nice on her hands and feet. She has teeth that are a mixture of wolf and human, and spindly fingers. Her eyes are large and have long dark lashes, but her features are so pale that it’s a mixture of beauty and ghostliness… There hardly even appears to be color to her features, her lips being full but colorless as well. Also, being a born lycan she has pretty black wolf ears, and a long soft-furred tail, the fur on the tail being long and somewhat like a horse’s tail.

Eyes: Red, much in the same way as the color of strawberries. They are large, yet wolf-like, and rimmed with long and black lashes.

Hair: Jet black, and as long as she is tall. It is thick and flows down and around her form like a waterfall of ink. It is very thick and soft, but usually tied into a single braid that is draped over her right shoulder, so as to keep cool. Even in a braid, it tends to be dishevled and messy.

Skin: Ghostly pale, to the point that if you didn't look at her straight on you may indeed think you were seeing a ghost. Even her lips are greyish and paled.

Height: 5 feet 8 inches

Weight: 124 lbs

Build: Skinny, nearly skeletal. Lithe. Muscle, though, due to living in the woods and being a lycan.

Wolf Form: A black wolf with eyes that glow red. She usually comes out more often in the evening, when her fur blends into the night. And she stays in her wolf form far more often than her human form… In which she acts just like a wild wolf would, but her size betrays her actual self. The wolf form looks undernourished, even though she isn't. But at the same time, it is covered in long and thick black fur, which makes it seem more lithe than anything.

Other: She has an accent like a Russian speaking English.

More About Kama'Lia

Favorite Foods: Anything vegetarian (It's what she was raised to eat. Anything that had once had a beating heart has never been ingested by the woman. However, eggs are fine. As well as milk. She also uses clothing or blankets and such, however, if it had been taken respectfully. Otherwise, she will refuse and be stubborn about it.)

Favorite Drinks: Water, tea, juice, coffee (Anything non-alcoholic. She finds alcohol's scent to be disgusting, and only uses alcohol in medicine making.)

Land of Origin: Southern Sage. She lived in the forest, however, not in a house of any kind.

Current Home: Rynvale's Clinic, though she travels between Rynvale and Kelay area now and then.

Biography

Kama'Lia's past

Kama'Lia had lived with her parents, up until she was the age of 17. She had always been a very quiet girl, and ever since she was a little child, she had shown that she had abilities suited for being a druid, as her parents were also such. The young lycan's mother and father had taught her everything they could about being a druid. They also taught her many things about her lycanthropy. Her parents were avid healers, and often helped out during wars and when anyone needed assistance. Throughout her childhood her parents and her lived out in the wilds of Southern Sage. In fact, the only building Kama had ever stayed in for long periods of time was a small and simple hut that served as her parent's clinic. When they would sit around the fire every evening, her mother would teach Kama'Lia violin. Her mother could play it so beautifully that Kama'Lia can't even play nearly as well as she could.

Nearly every day was spent watching over and observing her parents, always getting lessons on druid magic, medicinal works, and working with apothecary tools and methods. She learned fast, and was able to assist her parents when she was only 7 years old. Though, mostly, it was by helping tend to any patients and bringing her parents what they needed. Or even helping to make medicines such as tinctures. Her days were always kept very fast paced and busy. When the day would slow down, and evening came about, then came her other lessons. Her mother taught her how to write in beautifully sweeping and curling writing, for letters, and neat and crisp writing for apothecary and medicinal notes. Then came her speech lessons, though Kama'Lia and her mother both had odd accents. Kama picking up an accent like the Russian accent. The accent being thick, yet more delicate due to her father's smooth accent. Finally, in the evening came her music lessons. Her mother taught her to play the violin and how to sing beautifully. Kama'Lia seemed to be a natural at each. Then came night time. Each night her mother and father managed to find time to tuck her in, and say goodnight, up until she became a teenager. And to lull her to sleep, her father had a locket made to also be a music box that would play a hauntingly beautiful song. One one side of the locket was a portrait of her mother, painting in detail and color. On the other was her father, also painted with the same skill. The locket itself was made to look like her father's family seal, and the back had the family seal of her mother's enameled onto the back. Thus was her life as a young child.

As she aged, her father would make sure to lengthen the copper chain of her locket so that she could wear it upon her self whether she was human or wolf. The older she got, the more she was able to help out her parents with patients. Unfortunately even having to help with some patients during war times. However, she could always seem to manage to cheer up the patients and always kept a positive attitude through anything. She knew that the balance of nature had life and death, and thus she was never fazed by death. However, she usually would say a prayer of sorts to the god of nature, the spirits, and so on, so that the being's soul may be guarded and make its way to the spirit world safely. Life had always been a simple one, her family never owning more than they needed. However, life with her mother and father could not last forever. Despite 17 being a very, very- young age for both a lycan and especially and elf, she was pushed into self-dependance early. Her mother and father had come down with an unknown illness, one that none could save them from. And, despite their dying, they had told Kama'Lia to be happy and to not mourn them. That they would always watch over her, and love her.

After those who were family friends, as well as Kama'Lia, had performed a funeral for her parents and prayers were given to Hind, Kama had departed the area of Southern Sage where they lived. All she brought with her was her mother's violin, a bracelet of her father's, a set of black robes, a pair of black gloves, a small pouch of gold, a journel and quill, and her music box locket. She wasn't sad, but she was always so shy that she simply remained a lone wolf for the years that came after. She made friends with the animals, constantly practiced the teachings of her parents, and usually stayed in her wolf form. Every night she would fall asleep at the base of a statue of her diety, that she had come across at one point. She believed she would be kept safe. And every day she left an offering of some sort by the statue. Whether it was flowers, or food.

Kama'Lia's Present

Years later, 21 to be precise, came the Drow's takeover of Southern Sage. She could've pulled it off as a human lycan, due to having wolf ears rather than elf ones. But, knowing that if her locket was opened, they would be able to tell that such was not true. Moving quickly, she gathered up her meager amount of possessions and fled from the forest for her own safety. Despite her love for the cold, she enjoyed life as a hermit far more by this point. And, thus, she had escaped Sage safely, and had gone to live in the Vailkrin forest. Other lycans had been known to live there, she figured nobody would be surprised if there was perhaps a stray one or two in the forest. She didn't fear the giant monsters or odd things within the woods, and soon found home in the area known to people as "The Creature's Lair", which was truly a clearing in the woods that let in the let from the moons very nicely. However, she remained nomadic and would wander away from the clearing, in wolf form, now and then. Leaving her things hidden at the clearing. Once, on a little trip to the base of the mountains that lead to Frostmaw, she had found an injured snow fox and tended him back to health. He remains her friend even now and resides with her.

Through her few months within the forest, she had grown very skinny from there being less edible foods present. She had met a few people since she'd been there, but otherwise remains a hermit. In an attempt to butterfly out, she has left a message upon the tavern boards in Kelay and Vailkrin, offering her healing services to those in need. Hopefully the shy lycan can regain her friendly spirits, and become the healer that her mother and father were. However, only time will tell if their wishes will come true.

Mother's Violin

• The body of the violin is shaped unlike any other. It twists on the top right side and the bottom left, in the way that a whirpool would twist, though it stands still.

• The violin is an inky black, and has a brilliant shine to it.

• The strings are a strikingly red in color.

• The bow has red strings and the part that is held is jet black and shiny to match the violin. The bow is held together by gold metal that is enlaid with an equal and symmetrical amount of cut rubies on either side.

• The neck of the violin is long and delicate.

• The fiddlehead is shaped like a black wolf, red rubies serving as shimmering eyes within its skull. And the tuning pins are shaped like delicate black roses with red leaves.

• The case for the violin, however, betrays the beauty of the violin. The black leather of the case is worn and old, in appearance. However, the handle is made of gold that is enlaid symmetrically with more cut rubies.

• Kama'Lia's violin is actually worth quite a bit.

Kama'Lia's Abilities

Druidic Abilities:::

Summoning: Kama'Lia can summon plants, from simple flowers to thorny vines. She has an easier time of summoning plants, than she does of healing, due to that she is so attuned to nature. This is because she was born in the wild, and raised in nature rather than in a home. Her parents taught her much, and so now her soul itself is practically one with nature. Though, of course, not in the sense that a dryad would be.

Healing: Kama'Lia can use her magic to heal wounds, however, the larger the wound the harder of a time she has. When she has difficulties with healing larger wounds, she uses a mixture of nonmagic and magical healing. Aiding the healing by using plants and natural medicines while healing magically. She can also heal larger wounds if she’s allowed large amounts of time to use her magic. Or visits the patient periodically, to help the wound progress towards the better.

Plants: Kama'Lia had been taught by her mother that she can assist the growth of plants, with her magic and by asking of the spirits and god of nature to assist it in growing faster and healthier. She uses this to help a whithering plant, and also to plant a seed within a pot and assist with the growth of it, for medicinal reasons only. She'd never use this ability to help grow a plant for poison or anything of that nature.

Other Abilities::::::::

Gardening: This is more of a hobby, but she loves to garden and get her hands dirty. She doesn't garden anything unless it can be used for medical reasons, however. With the aid of her abilities, she can grow a rather beautiful garden.

Apothecary: Kama'Lia was taught this by her mother and father, as with most of her other talents, and can brew up potions and natural medicines and remedies very nicely. She also always makes sure to write down specific instructions to go with her medicines, if she gives any to a person in need of them.

Medicinal: Kama'Lia was taught how to tend to illnesses and injuries, ever since she was young. She is very good at stitching up injuries, cleaning them, and using many nonmagical treatments to comfort and heal the patient... Which is good, and extremely useful, due to some people having a great distaste in magical healing methods.

Lycanthropic Disease: Her lycanthropic disease makes it so that she can shapeshift into that of a large black wolf-being. It also gives her an advantage in being able to heal herself. With lycans, the long the disease runs through their blood the faster they heal. And the stronger they get. Kama has had it within her blood for 38 years, which likely can make it so that a small would heals rather quickly. Large injuries would probably take a week or so to heal, for her. And broken bones would likely take a week or more to heal, as well. Burns don't last all to long either. However, it doesn't make her invincible or any such thing. Likely, if a wound was contaminated, it wouldn't become infected but it would likely cause for scarring. (Naturally, of course, silver can still hurt her. So she stays away from that stuff.)

Minor Tracking: Being a born lycan, she has a good sense of smell. So, she can somewhat track people and things. But only as well as any average wolf would be able to.

Listener: Not a big ability, but Kama'Lia makes for a good listener if you need to vent or get something off your chest. And she's good at keeping secrets, as well.

Weapons and Armor/ Clothing

Weapons: Generally, she uses a thin and thorny vine as a whip. Though that is only in human form, and merely for her own defense. She made sure to ask the plants, before cutting it off, and uses her druid abilities to keep it alive enough to not dry out. Otherwise, it's claws and fangs in her wolf form.

Shield: If she needs a shield, she is likely to use whatever is around her as protection. Otherwise, she asks to summon thick thorny vines to burst forth from the ground, and weave together into a living shield. Once the threat has past, the vines sink back into the earth.

Head: A hood, connected to her robes, is usually thrown over her head to shadow out her face. It is rimmed with a red hemming.

Face: Nothing, usually. However, if she is working on a sick patient, she will be seen wrapping a cloth bandana or scarf over her mouth and nose for her own protection, and for health.

Ears: Nothing, she has never found a need for piercings.

Neck: The locket given to her by her father. On the back side in the seal of her mother's family, and on the front is her father's seal. Each seal is enameled, but her fathers is enlaid with icy blue, cut jewels. Her mother's seal is a tribal-drawn black rose, with red leaves. Her father's is a silver-colored cresent moon, silver lines coming off of it, to represent clouds. Five icy blue jewels are there to represent stars. The locket is kept upon her neck with a copper chain that is long enough to fit around the neck of her wolf form.

Shoulders: She may have a black and red cloak over her shoulders, at times, but never usually wears anything there.

Body: A baggy black robe rimmed with red hemming. it goes down to her ankles and is long enough to hide her tail. It has pockets in which she usually keeps her journel.

Waist: About the females waist is a black and red leather belt, the belt having a place to clip her thin vine whip to, as well as having small slots in which she slides small vials of medicines that she made in. The belt actually has two sides to it, the outside holding the medicines, and the inside holding other things. These other things would be small vials of dragons blood, deadly nightshade essence, poisons, and other things. Though they are only for defense and she'd never use them without good reason. Some of the medical vials on the outside have pieces of herbs still within them.

Arms: Black sleeves with red hemming. The sleeves are only half-sewn onto the robes, so her shoulders are visible.

Wrist: Nothing on one, however the other has a bracelet that has four tightly braided cords of black leather, that all clip together with a rectangular golden clasp that is enlaid with red gems.

Hands: Black silk gloves, usually. Otherwise nothing.

Fingers: Nothing. She doesn't wear rings or such.

Legs: Usually nothing, since the robes are dress-like and pull over her head. Otherwise, baggy and thin black pants that are hemmed with red.

Feet: Absolutely nothing. She hates shoes so very much.

Family and Friends

Kama'Lia's Animal Friend: A white fox. He likely has a name, but she usually calls him 'Little One.'

Friends: Unknown, for now.

Family: As told by Kama'Lia::

Kama'Lia has to truly ponder upon what to tell him, fingers twisting around a clump of fur on her tail as she thinks. "Well, I guess I could tell you that I'm a pacifist, unless threatened. My mother and father were the same way. Even when we are having difficulties in calming our lycanthropic angers, we do not like to hurt. I never went to any sort of school, because I was more like an apprentice to my parents... I never really had a home, even though we lived in Sage, because we would live outside. It's why we didn't have much." her eyes trail down to the bracelet upon her wrist and then to her locket/ music box, her hand gently grasping it and opening it to show the man. "That's my mother and father, they were very kind people, and you would have liked them very much." On the left was her mother's portrait, the woman being lithe, straight backed and proud as she sits, her neck on the long side and her features soft like Kama's. Long lashes upon her as well. Kama's features seem to mostly come from her mom, including the flowing black hair and red eyes. Her father, on the other side, has sharper features. He has chin length hair of dark brown, and eyes the color of the night sky. He looked strong and intimidating, but had a kindness to his eyes. "My mother's name was Kama. Father's name was Kunal. I guess I was named after mother, but had 'Lia at the end because it's some language that comes from my family's past. Mother's name means 'love'. Father's means 'Lotus flower'. And mine is 'One who does not flee; the inescapable one.' Though I don't exactly live to my title." with another smile she looks to her new found friend. "There. That should be enough about me for a while, hmm?"

Mother: Kama - Kama'Lia gets most of her looks from her mother. Kama was a very calm and collected woman, always keeping a cool head. She died at age 1,143. Which is still fairly young for an elf. She, of course, had Kama at an older age. Her parents had been married for 428 years, before they had Kama. This was a mixture of how busy they were, and because they were afraid that Kama may have been barren. However, after praying to Hind, Kama had become pregnant with Kama'Lia. Kama'Lia is partially named after her mother.

Father: Kunal - Kunal's name came from an ancient language from his family's past. It means 'Lotus Flower' because he is quietly eccentric like one. He died at age 1,321. He had lines of aging, and looked like he was in his fifties (were he human) as he was stressed a lot. Though he'd never mention it. He had a very eccentric attitude, and a proper accent. He was a very kind man, as well. Both of Kama's parents were pacifists. And so, too, is Kama.

Siblings: None. She's the last of her family, as far as she knows, as it was very very small.

Status: Unknown to the public. Though she does have a heart for someone.

Assistant Healer Belle

Name: Belle

Race: Faery

Normal Height: 6.5 inches tall

Height When Made Taller: 6 feet

Personality: Peppy, perky, and bubbly all around.

How Kama and Belle Met: Belle and Kama'Lia met when Kama was looking around the clinic. Ranok had told her she could have an assistant, and Belle was the one that Kama'Lia asked to be, because he magic healing is better than Kama's, but Belle needs some lessons in herbology. So it evens out.

Appearance:

Skin: Porcelain in color and texture

Hair: Long, down to being between her shoulder blades. Wavy and flowing around her shoulders, and black as night.

Face: Heart shaped face, with lips the color of blood, black eye lashes, and slightly pointed ears.

Eyes: Warm amber in hue

Wings: Black, purple, and clear all together. They're shaped like a mixture of sharp butterfly wings, and dragonfly wings. Though they're usually kept down and drooped. They glitter with dust.

Other: She basically looks like an other Faery, aside from that she's lither and has rather long fingers, spindly but not boney. She usually is in her regular height, though, unless she is healing somebody.

Outfit: Long black pants, a pruple silk tank top, and slipper shoes. When she is working on a patient, she ties up her hair and wears a white lab coat-like thing over her wings, due to their drooping nature they're pressed flat to her back.

Other Things To Be Noted About Kama'Lia

• She’s not very gullible and is very mistrusting of other humanoids, though not in a rude way.

• Prefers the comforting embrace of nature, over the closeness of humanoids, as is with the tavern scene.

• Is an adept healer, but doesn’t like being close to others, so she usually uses her healing magic on injured beasts of the wild. Her mother and father were healers.

• She can summon thorny vines from the ground, but only does so when she believes she is threatened or trying to escape.

• Is very quiet and only speaks when spoken to, or when she believes she has need to speak up. But is generally quiet all the time.

• Calm demeanor and keeps to herself.

• Will not try to pick a fight, but will stand up for herself or someone else when she believes it is right.

• Is a pacifist, but will fight in defense if someone tries to injure her or capture her.

• Kama'Lia has a wish to open up her very own Apothecary/Clinic, in order to become a healer to match the skills of her parents. Or at least come close. Even to simply have it to help others would make her happy enough... Perhaps one day somebody will assist her in making one....

OOC information:: I made Kama for rp, because I absolutely love rp and could do so all day. 
Especially adventurous rps, and especially rps that happen out of the blue... Though those deal with
conflict, and that tends to make some people upset. Regardless, though. Rp is one of my top 5 favorite
things to do, out of anything. :D So, please, feel free to rp with me. I try to keep to my character's
habits, so it's unusual for her to be inside of most public buildings for long, and she's shy of people.
Also, she is generally in wolf form at night, but she doesn't usually stay in wolf form in public areas or
when she knows people are around. She doesn't want to be hunted, or scare people, etc. But her being shy,
hermit-like, and whatnot like that does NOT mean that I don't want to rp with people. Trust me, I only
post if I do want to rp. So, yeah. Don't be afraid to rp with me. Thank you. Also, I generally have the
OOC channel off.
