Description

"To see the stars fall down with pain, echoes deep inside this hardened shell I call my body. My soul has been eaten by the heartless creatures that watch and scream. To have everything and see them fade away has taken me back or torn me apart.

I wished for you to pull me closer and yet you smiled that awful fanged smirk. I was sent drifting into the darkness that consumed my optics. Feeling my heart shatter as I could only hear the faint footsteps disappear. The slow weary run had put me further behind until I became lost. Without a sound I began to weep, the tears staining my cheeks with icy wetness. There I was, cold and alone. How I have been since that night drowning in misery and stripped of warmth. I quake with the emptiness of my being."

  • Appearance: Multi-faceted, strands of stained crimson cherry wood locks fall in great, billowing curls past her shoulders. Crystalline, shimmering emerald and jade optics frequently seize other's interest, along with her substantial key of curiosity. Alabaster skin glimmers with an immaculate, opalescent sheen as each movement that emanates from her causing a luminous glow which more often or not, appears fragile to the far off eyes. Yet do not let this fool you for it is a mere cover for her own entertainment. The vampire stands at a rough height of five feet and seven inches, much taller than the average women of hollow. Her weight need not be a factor with this young creature since she has an abnormally high endurance rate which has helped her develop her athletic build.

  • Sire: Nummoc
  • Birth date: December 21st Hail-Winter of 1197

A few key facts about Inari:

  • Has a weakness for children
  • Absolutely adores jewels- especially rubies
  • Is always looking for a new pet to travel with
  • Is terrified of water- or at least not seeing the bottom of a water mass

  • Family: Although elves live quite a long time, Inari's parents were engaged in a tragic warfare that ended their lives. Her older brother, Tyrion, had moved further north with his wife, Nataraja and was not heard of again. Rumor had reached her that they were attacked by a horrific group of bandits and were murdered in their own beds. This only left her with her younger sister, Sansa, who died at the age of fourteen from Nightshade which is commonly known as the Devil's cherry or Belladonna.
  • Personality: She is known for her brutal honesty and low patience towards those who let their ignorance rule them. Rather than be embarrassed or having grand etiquette, she usually speaks what is on her mind, regardless of who she is speaking to with no withdrawal wither it will embarrass her or not. With a born fondness for innate humor, she finds it easy to rouse amusement wherever she may be. Although her pride for her wits and rationalities bring towards her downfalls; she has a defiant streak which never ceases to cause a few problems for others or herself.
  • Past: ‘She is not of innocence any longer. Her kind have no place with us.' That was the last sentence I heard from my beloved parents before I was turned away. I had finally tasted the bitterness of abandonment.

Biography

Turning nineteen was supposed to be an entering into my family, the day you became an adult; a welcoming into the union of elves. The marriage that was supposed to take place that night was to be mine. It would have strengthen our bloodline and united the two tribes of our race. It was to be the most exciting day and the most extraordinary night of my life.

Until later that night... when the whispering began.

My family among the rest of the elven race had a strong hate for everything the bloodsucking creatures called vampires did. They ruined the beauty of the world and tainted it with crimson blood and foulness. There was nothing to be liked of such beings. To us, they were no such beings, they were the scum of the earth. And they had decided to come to our festival of hopes and happiness.

It was during that day when I was preparing myself for my wedding. I sat bathing in rosemary and lavender oils with peppermint leaves to cleanse my skin it was a tradition for the women of my kind. The smell of mint had always been my favorite and now on my day to becoming a woman; I to could adorn myself in such lavish scents. Upon the leaving of my bath there sat another fresh fragrance on my bed. My mother had put it there, it was called Lily Bloom. It was our families ‘good luck' charm as she called it. I smiled as I lifted the bottle to my nose, breathing in it's heavenly scent. After applying the fragrance to my skin, I made my way over to where my wedding dress lay. It was made of the finest silks, this dress was without a doubt the most beautiful gown I have seen. White lace dressed the trim of the skirts, neckline, and the hanging sleeves. The dressmakers had spent twelve days and thirteen nights preparing it so it would be ready in time. To finish to gown off were little woven slippers with crystal embedded into the working and my grandmother's necklace. It was gorgeous; it had a single large pearl that lay a few inches above my breast with crystals and diamond adorning the sides of the pearl. This was perfect, perfect for my perfect day.

I had often wondered who I was going to marry as I child, truth be told I had always wished him to be of far lands. Someone I did not have to grow up with, who wouldn't know my every move. It would be a learning experience for a us and I was ready to wait for that. I was lucky though, I was betrothed to the lord of Second Light's son. His name was Eddard. I was met with him two previous times before during social gatherings with our parents. My father and his had been good friends since childhood and since both of them were Lords of the Light, it was only fitting that Eddard and I would be married. The last time I had seen him was almost three years ago. I remember his boyish smile, light brown hair and shining azure eyes. He was two years older than I but we were still able to relate and talk to each other. We spoke of our hobbies, likes and dislikes, about our childhood, and much more. He was always a tentative listener and never seemed bored or wanting to talk merely of himself. The more we spoke the more I grew to like him until our afternoon ended and he and his family had to go back home. But before he got on the horse my father had recently given him, he leaned down and placed a solid kiss upon my forehead and told me he would write to me. Now, today he would be coming to take my hand in matrimony. I was thrilled, beyond thrilled. I was ecstatic and... nervous as to what kind of man my Eddard had grown into.

I still had plenty to do before the wedding so I tossed on a plain cotton dress and hurried out of my bedroom, down the steps towards the garden where the wedding was to be held. I saw Aiko, my best friend fooling around with flowers and my mother who was surrounded by servant with questions. They were busing themselves about, smiling towards me and telling the servants where to place the food, how much on which plate, how to set the tables, and how to arrange the table centers to that they all matched.

The Ceremony...

The sun had hit the edge of the nights dawning. Inari awaited in her small quarters as her bridesmaids attending to last minute preparations. The sun had just set, as all the torches were lit about the courtyard where the ceremony was to take place.

Night had come to the kingdom and Eddard arrived. With him were various members of the elven community,. Elves of one house to the left and the other house to the right as the crowd settled in. Eddard stood waiting.

The lutes and other instruments started playing as Inari's father Cadim led his daughter down the aisle. Her mother Essinina sat weeping tears of joy. The overseer of the ceremony nodded and the instruments stopped playing.

"My friends we are gathered in this place this fine eve to join two people in matrimony. A wedding that not only joins them but also two kingdoms as one. The two young people show great courage. Immortal though they be, they will still face many hardships as any married couples do."

"I ask that Eddard and Inari now take hands." Inari and Eddard take each other's hands and face the overseer.

"Who gives this woman to be wed?" Cadim answers, "I do."

The overseer nods and begins "In the sight of the moon, under a clear sky of stars these two seek a joining. So I ask you Eddard: Do you take Inari to be as one with thee, in times of joy and in times of pain, in loneliness and togetherness. Do you seek her heart that it be with you forevermore?"

Eddard looks deeply into Inari's eyes, smiles and says, "That is my wish, I do."

The overseer looks to Inari and says "Do you take Eddard to be as one with thee, in times of joy and in times of pain, in loneliness and togetherness. Do you seek his heart that it be with you forevermore?"

Inari looks deep into Eddard's eyes and says "That is my wish, I do."

"These two have pledged their hearts to one another. In the spirit of giving they have agreed to exchange rings. Eddard please place your great grandmothers ring upon Inari's finger." As Eddard proceeded to remove the ring from his pocket as Inari felt her life seemed to slow down. All actions slowed to a crawl in Inari's mind. The threats of the past becoming all too real as the doors to the courtyard burst open to the sound of thundering hooves.

There he sat upon his steed, Lord Nummoc. "I warned you Cadim, I warned what would happen if you attempted this union. Now the time has come to pay the price for such an attempt."

The vampires came through the breach in droves. Some bearing blades, some using only their own strengths. The elves sprang to action, arrows and blades released in a fight for their very lives. Inari stood at the front of the altar as several vampires swamped Eddard. Their claw like nails ripped through him, having no armor on. Blood started pouring down the steps, joining other flows. as Elven blood gathered in a pool at the base of the courtyard. Intestines, livers, hearts, kidneys all intermixed. Vampires too were affected in this battle as several of Nummoc's men were struck down, beheaded by elven blades before the procession and all gathered were dead.

Inari looked down and saw Tyrion slipping out the pathway that was hidden from view, unless you knew where to look. He carried his little sister Sansa, in order that they might make their escape. Cadim and Essinina stood before Nummoc, vampire blood upon their own blades, surrounded yet still ready to fight.

The vampire said "Oh no, Cadim the ultimate revenge is mine." Nummoc took hold of Inari and bared her neck to his fangs. They sank deep into her as he drank his fill. "She will be mine in two days time. I shall return for her then, have her ready."

Cadim looked at his daughter and sneered, for she had been tainted. "You will not find her here Nummoc look as you will at the open road. She is of this house no longer."

Inari could not believe her ears. Aiko lay dead in the aisle, all her friends were now dead and she would soon join the ranks of those no longer living, yet no longer dead.

"Father surely you cannot mean it, I am still alive, I have been bitten and *she realizes what is happening* I do not accept this father, but will abide by it."

From the parapets Inari's father and mother watched as their daughter started out on her horse for places unknown. They turned away as she looked up and started to clean up the mess that had been a wedding.

Inari had spent years wondering around, trying to find a place she could call a home again. A place where she wouldn't be cast out by the choice made for her. She longed for that place which seemed only a faint memory and kept getting foggier with each passing day. Inari stumbled across Hollow and thought perhaps this place would work and thus far it has not proved her wrong. She spends her time hanging around the tavern or off exploring the wide vast land of hollow, enjoying her time here, unsure of how long that would be.
