Psychology

Bartholomeu is the sort towards carry himself to a certain degree of civility and dignity, claiming that such mannerisms are expected of those who carry the heightened standards of those born from noble families though he deigns not to say which of those families he hails from. In proclaiming himself such a gentleman of repute, Bartholomeu despises uncouth behavior and rudeness towards others whether they deserve it or not. He also has a disdain towards cowardice, claiming that it is unbefitting of a man and he will not tolerate such foul attitudes.

Magic and the unknown as well as literary knowledge are all things that Bartholomeu has a ravenous fascination for. He is of the belief that sentience and sapience are gifts that should never be wasted or left to stagnate so he is in a constant pursuit for comprehension of mystical and intellectual mastery. He reacts to the lack of interest in these things with indignancy, finding the idea that someone would not want to expand their minds as nothing short of offensive. In short, Bartholomeu sees himself as quite the scholar and sees no reason why everyone cannot be one as well.

Pride is likely Bartholomeu's vice as he has a habit of thinking exceedingly highly of himself in all things. He is very proud of his abilities as a self-proclaimed storm mage, refusing to accept the title of Jack of all trades when there is the ever-present option to be called a master at his craft. He is also not prone to withstand insult gracefully due to his ramptant self-pride. Because of this, Bartholomeu is nary the sort to ever admit that he is wrong even when it is blatantly obvious that he is incorrect.

It can be seen in appearances alone that Bartholomeu has a taste for finer things. He bemoans the idea of wearing anything less than the very finest or consuming anything that is not of the heighest quality. In this mindset, Bartholomeu does not think himself as uppity but rather as a connoisseur. And he sees absolutely no reason why any should consider his tastes as uppity either, preferring to view them as sophisticated or refined.

There is a wrath within Bartholomeu though, well-masked by his kinder habits, and it is viciously without mercy. When his ire is fully struck, Bartholomeu can be uite violent of temper and prone to lashing out in a manner some might consider overly agressive. It is very much a bloodlusting and berserked state of being that he is hard pressed to pull himself out of once the moment is upon him.

Capabilities

In efforts intellectual, Bartholomeu is one to be considered rather well-learned. He can read and write and speak a variety of languages, some learned from necessity and others learned by mere trivial curiosity. He has a firm comprehension of most cultures and political knowledge to match if only because he believes that one of his proclaimed standing is required to know of such things. To surmise, Bartholomeu has a lot of book-smarts and perhaps even street-smarts aplenty.

Magically, Bartholomeu is a wielder of weather so to speak. Wind, water, lightning and ice are the tools of his trade and while he does not hold sway over them with the mastery that a mancer might control a specific element, Bartholomeu's talents are not without merit. He will likely never outshine a mancer at a single element but his fondness of wielding the four in tandem is certainly enough to give him some sort of edge in a fight.
