Past
Origins
Years ago, the screams of labor pains echoed through the southern sage. An elven beauty with long blonde hair and eyes the shade of the treetops was clenching herself into as tight a ball as she could manage, given the swollen state of her abdomen, and the life emerging from her loins. At her side her husband knelt, her hand was wrapped about his tightly, and he whispered soothing words to his bride. The labor process was long, and difficult. But after an several hours of hardship and pain, a lovely little girl slipped into the world, a sprig of ebony atop her head, which matched her father’s raven locks. As her wide eyes blinked open under the stars, they met her mother’s forest hues, mimicking the shade of the elder elfess.
So thankful were the pair for their first child that they vowed she would one day serve the Archdruid. So for the next eighty-four years, they raised her. Her mother training her in healing arts, as her father taught her the ways of bow and blade. But they wanted her to be more proficient, and so they sent her away to the land of Sylvainic, where she learned more devotion to her craft.
After ninety-one years away from home, she returned, intent on finding the Archdruid and serving her. Her soul purpose, as she viewed it, was to protect the Sage, and it’s mistress.
Angelo
Shortly after her return to Hollow, Bainwen met a human by the name of Angelo. He was able to charm her with his magic illusions, and she accepted an invitation to the Ressurrection Ball at the Hanging Corpse Tavern. After the ball, she learned of his family had betrayed him, and that he was, in fact royalty. She heard of how his brother had slain his his first love, and the story so moved her, she insisted on helping him to fight his foes. When she revealed her quests to him, to locate the Archdruid, and fight the duergar, he agreed to help her as well.
Bainwen decided to treat her friend to a picnic, where the pair played 20 questions, in which Angelo confessed his desire to win the ranger's affections, and Bainwen admitted to wanting to be free to live her own life.
Over time Angelo began to convince Bainwen that she could do just that, and still serve the Archdruid. As time went on, Bainwen came to realize that serving the Archdruid or not, she would be happy so long as she was with Angelo. Under the stars one night they shared a kiss and exchanged words of love. They vowed to protect eachother whatever the cost.
For awhile they struggled with the realization that Angelo would not live as long as Bainwen, for alas, he was only a human. Another thing that they had to struggle with was the revelation that it had been Angelo's darker side, called Erebus, that had slain his first love, Lily. But despite this, Bainwen vowed to love him and help him.
After a month or two, when he proposed, and she accepted, he chose to become lycan. While he still struggles to control his wolf side, Bainwen and her lover now know they can be together as long as they live.
