Altyar is tall and very muscular, easily visible as he chooses, out of comfort, to wear only a simple pair of black leather pants and nothing more. His magnificent obsidian wings span 8 ft. his black dreaded hair, usually messy and unkempt, and peppered stuble give him a somewhat feral appearance.
HISTORY
Atlyar was born in Gadrendale to parents Pharell and Zinnia Alec, both died, albeit at different times, before his 8th birthday. He remembers very little from before the age of ten, when he was drafted into training for the empire army with the renowned Koel Zippora. However ten years after he completed his training and became a fully fledged and rather skilled soldier, he found himself bored of his work and felt great contempt for the empire for forcing him to train. So he escaped, without a word to anyone, to sage forest.
After settling into his new home, he met an Elvin elemental mage by the name of Tidurion whom specialized in terramancy. Tidurion befriended Altyar, teaching him the ways of the elves. After many years like this, they became incredibly close, feeling like they were long lost brothers. So when the day came that Altyar asked for teaching in the art of terramancy, Tidurion was more than pleased to accept Altyar as his pupil. After three years of studying the elemental arts Altyar was a fully fledged spell-blade, Who focused mainly on terramancy to strengthen himself so he could protect others and most importantly himself. The friends, now closer than ever, decided to undertake a blood-pact and from there on described themselves as brothers.
A few months or even a year, Altyar couldn’t remember, after the ‘brothers’ blood-pact Altyar decided to leave sage forest in hope of gaining fame as a mercenary. Though Altyar didn’t see Tidurion they stayed in contact by letter.
One day while sat at the bar in the Kelay Tavern, Altyar was approached by an unknown elf whom asked his name. But upon telling the elf his name the elf said that he had been looking for him so that he could inform him of his brothers death.
This news, without any explanation of how or why Tidurion had died sent Atlyar into a spiral of crippling depressions. He returned to sage forest, clutching at the memories of his beloved brother and friend that were all around. He continues to live here to this day, fighting for the honour of Tidurion and to protect those unable to protect themselves.
