Description

Appearance

Appears to be around the age of 24 in human years though because he is elven he is much older. He is often seen wielding his Scepter of the Elements in a fight but should one push him he will grace you with the presence of his elemental long sword or water elemental staff.

Magic

Though he is a mage all of his magic is strictly elemental. Having no power over enchantments or other such spells he seeks the help of others when he needs other types of magic done. His preferred element is Water making that his strongest. Fire is by far his weakest as he can only manipulate it in small amounts and not conjure it. Wind is his next favorite as he was specifically trained in this as well. Aearion is now attempting to learn greater levels of Terramancy but his training is proving to be rather difficult. It seems he is having trouble learning the elements that are opposite of his two Home Elements.

Weapons and Armours

Preferred Clothing: You are wearing blue-mages robes on your body, blue hood on your head, blue-flowing cloak on your neck, blue-robe sleeve on your left arm, blue-robe sleeve on your right arm, leather pants on your legs, and elven footwear on your feet. You are using scepter-of-elemental power as a weapon. You are using a aura-of-protection as a shield.

Preferred Weapons

  • scepter-of-elemental power- A Deep Blue scepter with what appears to be silver streaks through out it. When an element is called upon the streaks change to a different neon hue depending on said element(Fire=Red, Water-Blue, Earth-Green, Wind-White. Also when he calls on the Scepters power a runic symbol of the element being called is called forth and fades into existence on its surface in a electric blue hue.
  • water-elemental staff- The only weapon of his not crafted by the ancient elves of Rynvale. The water staff appeared before him in the Shrine to the Sea Gods after many long days of prayer to help in his venture to win back Rynvale from The Empire. The staff is an ocean blue and simply gives Aearion greater control of the water around him. Unfortunately while he wields this weapon the other elements are severely limited, only that of wind has been called on in with any amount of strength while this weapon was in use.
  • elemental-long sword- What appears to be a simple long sword is actually another chamber of elemental energies. Able to be used as a sword but also used as another way to attack his opponents at long range as well. The Long Sword has throughout its blade many veins smaller in thickness than a hair. These allow Aearion’s elemental powers to flow throughout the weapon without any need to enchant. Strangely enough these millions of veins don’t hurt the blades structure, perhaps it is because of the elven smiths that created it in their near perfect art.
  • elemental-composite bow- The bow was elven crafted as were the rest of his weapons. Created strictly to channel his own magics. Should another use the bow it would be slightly less effective. The elemental magics are added to the arrows only when the string is pulled back. The longer the tension is on the bow before being released the stronger the magic within the arrow will be.

Role Play's

“I shall win back Rynvale.”

Shrine to the Sea Gods

At the very back of the room are two great solid gold statues of a man and woman who are most likely the Rynvale god and goddess of the sea. They stand knee deep in a pool of deep bluey-green sea water that seems to wash up at their legs every so often like gentle wave. The way this room is carefully crafted this motion produces a low sound that sounds like waves in the distance. Looking up at the two deities faces you can see they smile pleasantly at you and you feel compelled to leave an offering in their pool. You notice a number of the robe clad priests bowing and chanting to the statues in a language you have never heard before and then they dunk their bald heads into the water, you wonder if this is some kind of ceremonial cleansing for them. The only way out is southwards from where you came, back to the temple foyer.

Aearion awoke once more in the same place he had fallen asleep, The Shrine to the Sea Gods. Standing he would walk to the edge of the pulsating pool and smiling to the two statues he drops to his knees and bows whispering words of prayer to the two deities. He prayed here often, a close follower of the God, Zaytor, and the goddess, Selene. It was these two deities that permitted the mass that the High Elves had called Rynvale to stand above the sea, and surely it would be they that would allow the sea to reclaim it should they disapprove of its use for long. Many minutes pass before his prayers end and he sits upward now a smile on his face. “I understand,” he says speaking to the statues. “I shall win back Rynvale.” Standing to his feet he gives a low bow once more to the statues of his god and goddess before slowly backing away and then finally turning to leave.

“...may you protect me..."

Temple Foyer

You are standing in a great foyer on the floor is a strange design of wavy lines which may represent the waves of the sea. There are many pools of water here filled brim full with salty sea water, various priests and acolytes in deep green and blue robes tend to them saying prayers and chants before allowing the towns people and many sailors to drop offerings into the pools. Most of the offerings small items of food but some of the wealthy sea captains drop in a gem or two from their journey. It is said this act will bring safe passage to any who cross the sea. The strange light emanating from these pools together with the strange way the water mimics a sea wave produces a strange pattern of light on the plain ceiling make you feel like you are deep underwater on the seabed. In the center of some of these pools are statues of various sea deities and creatures including mermaids and lobsters. This room is definitely very unsettling for anyone who does not spend much time at sea.

Aearion entered the Temple Foyer from the Shrine to the Sea Gods, a common place to pass for anyone of the sea. Walking to a number of the pools he whispers a light prayer before dropping into the pools several pieces of Bread, all that the High Elf had to offer at this time. The last of the prayer is easily audible as it is said slightly louder and was not meant to be kept secret. “…may you protect me at sea, may you protect me as I fight for you, may you bestow upon me the power needed to unleash your wrath upon your enemies as well as my own.” Opening his eyes he bows low and then exits southward.

First Strike

Shopping Street Gray cobble stones make way for the smooth white marble street that lies under your foot. Lively and happy once more, rejoicing in the stability brought to it after such trying tribulations, the shopping street is busy once again, bustling with life and the shouts of merchants who peddle their wares to those who would take a look. To the north, the sound of rushing water bristles into your ear as the air to the south brings the strong scent of fish to tickle your nose. To the west is a pathway, lined with fruitful trees that appear to lead on to an enclosed area. A squadron of elite imperial guards, checking those that travel about, is here.

Aearion enters from the north, the large tower of the Temple still visible in the northern distance. Aearion had a new goal, to disrupt The Empire as much as possible without being caught. And so when his eyes fell upon the few Imperial Guards checking peoples’ papers he couldn’t resist doing something. Still a distance away from the guards and not in view of anyone important he grips his scepter of elemental power and draws on its magic. While his head and face are hidden by a hood a single rune slowly rises to the surface of his scepter meaning water. Water was one of the most abundant things on an island, it existed in the soil, in the air, and of course in the sea. Water crystals began to appear hovering high in the air, invisible unless one were looking to the sky. Slowly these crystals began to gather together in several long needle like shards. Satisfied at his work he released his control on the water and the ice needles fell to the earth gaining more and more speed as they fell. The first three landed true, striking guards in the head killing them instantly, however the other two had not. One had just missed his head and instead imbedded itself into the right shoulder of a guard. The last had missed all together and landed in the earth. The guards reacted instantly, turning and looking for any that may have attacked them. It was easy enough to spot the only citizen that was not looking about in fright of falling ice. Aearion dashed forward and with a spinning jump he landed a kick to the side of the guards head knocking him to the ground. Calling once more upon his Scepter the rnic symbol of ice appeared. The Guard that lay unconscious upon the ground was now being killed from the inside out. Aearion had called on his magic to freeze the man, forcing every sell in his body to burst as the water in each froze. Turning he saw the other guard now and with a sly grin he prepared to call on another of the elements that he, as an elementalist, had control over. However, before he could do anything the man would turn and run eastward, perhaps saving his own hide, or maybe he simply wanted to live to tell the Emperor what had happened. Either way he allows him to live and rushes to the south before more guards return.

The First Blessing - A woman appears

Shrine to the Sea Gods At the very back of the room are two great solid gold statues of a man and woman who are most likely the Rynvale god and goddess of the sea.

Aearion awoke this morning like any other. The only difference is today he planned to start his constant prayer. The previous day he had killed four imperial guards and so surely The Empire would be looking for a man in Blue Mages Robes wielding a Scepter of the Elements. Now he planned to do something bigger, if his previous attack wasn’t big enough then his next one would be. The many ships that patrolled the Rynvale Harbor was his next target. However, to gain the magic needed he would surely need the saving grace of his God and Goddess. He was bowed low upon the ground facing the two statues of the male and female in the pool of water. The scent of the Sea strong in here it made him feel more at home. His eyes were closed and his lips constantly moved in silent prayer the way they had for the past nine hours now. About him on the ground were pieces of Home made bread and white wine. Food and drink that would purge the soul and perhaps make him more worthy of the divine powers he asked for.

Teagan entered the room. Her emerald hues scanning the area. She had never been here before, she was lost a bit. Shaking her head, she saw a figure what looked to be praying. She was going to walk forward but stopped. Her heel made a small click noise as she closed her eyes, as if it would make her dissapear. The scent of the sea burned her nose as it wrinkled. She almost gave a small sneeze but stopped before she could interupt anything. She stood there in the entrance, glancing around.

Aearion remained where he was, the intruder he had not taken notice of. However the monks about her did. They knew what he was trying to do and prayed for his success as well. Not wanting her to cause him any disturbance the attempt to tell her to quiet herself. Just as well they whisper to her to remove her footwear as she was indeed inside of a holy temple and such things were frowned upon. They did not wish her to leave as any that pray to the gods should not be forced away but instead thanked for such devotion. Still they had not seen such devotion as their patron Aearion showed. Praying daily for hours, interpreting what the god and goddess wanted for the isle of Rynvale. He was a true follower, one each of them could only wish to match in servitude.

Teagan got big eyed as the monks told her to take off her shoes. She looked down at her heeled boots and nodded. She untied them and quietly placed them down. She gave a nervous smile and crossed her arms to her chest. The scent still burning her nose. She looked towards the statues and smiled. Atleast someone had something to believe in.

Aearion: The monks smiled weakly and bowed in thanks to her compliance. They turned and went back to their tasks about the Temple and Shrine. Some returned to pray, dunking their bald heads into the sacred pulsating pool of water which of course was water of the sea with chants said over it daily in the god and goddesses names. Aearion was still praying, and for many more minuets he would. When finally he would stop he would rest back on his knees and raise from the ground beside him that the monks had provided. The White Wine was the drink of the gods, or as close as the elven equivalent would get to it. The same could be said of the bread he would then partake of. He still did not notice the woman in the Shrine. Yet still another monk would walk forward bringing him more wine and more bread which rested upon a tray upon the ground. Aearion turned to the monk and said very lightly so that the words may have to seemingly float to his ears upon the salty air, “May Selene bless you.”

Teagan felt like she was intruding and sighed. About to turn back around she began to wonder why someone would worship. She held her head with a slight headache. She looked down to her shoes and knelt down to pick them up, her eyes closed a bit; trying to relax her headache.

Aearion sat down the now empty bottle of wine and the monks suddenly rush over to the pull side and rest on their knees as well as they all bow and pray. Aearion on the other hand was not, instead he began to move about his arms, intertwining them at times and creating what may be runic symbols in the air with his fingers. Suddenly the water of the pool began to react, raising itself into the air it began to move about, taking on the shape of different forms, at times it would be turned to ice and move about as if a fluid still. The ritual ended with several pillars of water rising up around the statues and turning to ice. Atop the pillars was a flake of large crystallized water, a Frozen Snowflake. Water began to pour outward over the statue from pores on the snowflake letting you know that all the ice was hollow and water from the pool was constantly feeding the spectacle.

Teagan starred at the strange thing that had happened. She gulped looking at the man who had done it. She raised up from her knealing and kept looking. She smiled at seeing such power.

Aearion stared upward at his creation, none of it had been planned, he simply allowed the divine power of Selene enter his body and work through him. He stepped to his feet now happy that she had used him as he had asked. The monks smiled and rushed forward to congratulate him bowing deeply they would say words of praise for such a power to be granted to him. A single monks words stuck out more than the others, “You have done what years of our own people have failed to do, the gods are indeed with you young man.” The elder turned and saw the woman still there, with a bow to her he excuses himself to the rest of the temple. Aearion thanked the Monks for their support and once all was said and done he turned and saw the woman for the first time. He greets her with a light bow and a tilt of the head, “Hello there, I am Aearion.” he says in a hushed voice as the calm of the Temple begins to return.

Teagan looked confused at him bowing to her. "Umm...Hi?" she looked around akwardly. "Umm...Did I interupt? Cause I honestly have no idea where I am at.." she propped herself against a wall and smiled at him.

Aearion didn’t say anything for a moment, he contemplated asking her to remove herself from the temple wall but didn’t. Instead he spoke to her, “Then allow me to show you the way back to Rynvale Tavern.” Quickly he tells her the directions back to there and if she would want to return to Kelay he tells her those directions as well. “Also you were not interrupting, you just witnessed a blessing from the goddess Selene. One of many bestowed upon me I hope.” He smiles at the thought and waits to perhaps see if she would leave or stay. It would be rude after all for him to turn away from a woman.

Teagan looked somewhat confused. "So...you get powers from a goddess?" She actually seemed interested now, getting off the wall she smiled. "Then I wonder where I get my power from.." she looked up. A soft giggle came from her.

Aearion nodded his head left to right for a moment, “I wouldn’t know. But the power to control water is reserved to the divine and those that can control it on Hollow have been given special gifts. Those that can manipulate it further into its different states are blessed for their devotion to the Sea and all the creatures within.” He had not known what power she possessed, but still he was weary of finding out. The Monks had already sensed the same thing he did, something was wrong with this woman.

Teagan laughed a bit. "Oh..alright. So..do you live here or something?" she smiled wickedly. Her emerald eyes scanning him over.

Aearion nodded in confirmation. “I am given a home by the monks, I am fed and clothed by the Monks as well. They tend to me and I protect their Isle from things that shouldn’t be here.” He almost had said from The Empire, but he was unsure of this woman’s allegiance with The Empire and so held his tongue from revealing more to her. “I think it may perhaps be time you go. I should return to my duties after all.”

Teagan looked down and put down on her shoes. Tying them quickly. "Your lucky Aear..you have a home and people around you that seem like they care.." she sighed and began to walk out being somewhat hesitant.

Aearion listened to her as she spoke, and when she turned to leave he made no move to stop her though he wanted to. Though he was a mage he was being taught the ways of a Monk. He should stay away from women, though he didn’t want to. Once she had left he turned and let out a sigh. He returned to his pool and began praying once more.
