Tungsten Fire Ruby Ring - (Armor: Finger +10 bonus)

Description:

Sleek black tungsten make up the majority of this wedding ring. Cut from a much larger stone, the fire ruby has been broken down into parts: 1 small heart-shaped stone for this ring, while the rest as been crushed into dust for the other half of the wedding set. Set directly into the 6mm tungsten band, the fire ruby is flanked on either side by two tiny round cuts of orange sunstone, to accentuate the ruby's fiery color. It's clear that this ring isn't made to be flashy, unlike other rings of this type. Tungsten was specifically chosen as it is able to withstand high temperatures of flame, ie: that of an fire-wielding mage.

History:

The original fire ruby ring has been a Von Schreier family heirloom for quite some time, handed down through the line, typically to the male heirs. It had been hidden away for just as long, as the ring itself had magical properties (giving the user the ability to cast a fireball spell, albeit with limited uses before the implement needed to be recharged) and Dhavislaav (Khitti's home country) had been under a magic ban for centuries. Since the death of her family, as well as her entire village, the ring has been with Khitti, eventually given to Brand with a teleportation spell for emergencies, considering how often Khitti got herself into trouble (it was used the night Emrith attacked Larewen, resulting in a nearly dead Khitti who ported herself to The Tranquility and arrived in a pool of her own blood). But now, the ring has been repurposed entirely. The ring has been carefully deconstructed, the fire ruby used for both Khitti and Brand's wedding rings, and a new teleportation enchant put on both.
