Thieves are rogues, pure and simple. Thieves are individuals outside of the law, relying primarily on stealing, pick-pocketing, and scamming, though many are not above murder and kidnapping. In combat, thieves very rarely face their foe head on. The greater the distance they can keep from the enemy's blade, the better. A crossbow in their hands is deadly, their superior dexterity allowing for quick reloading and precision aiming. When thieves do partake in closer combat, they prefer sneaking up behind their enemies with a dagger or short sword. With a bit of extra strength, when paired with the thief's dexterity, two-handed weapons can be wielded with surprising ferocity. Thieves are crafty and are capable of sneaking, picking locks and disarming traps. Thieves generally belong to a cabal or guild of thieves, working like an organized crime gang, pooling their resources for collective gain. Some thieves work as mercenaries, accepting jobs from a wealthy client for various shady activities.
