The Coterie

A close-knit group of vampires centralized in Frostmaw, currently all bearing the same sire in Kasyr, head of the family. All included follow a strict set of rules designed to protect themselves and the family, and strive to maintain their undead existence. The Coterie itself are all related by siring, but there is likewise a niche among them for foreign vampires, dubbed the Coven.


Coterie

Kasyr Azakhaer, Ashen

Description: Swordsman of medium height, with sandalwood hair tipped in silver, amber eyes, perky calico ears, and a matching calico tail. Clothing of choice is a black trenchcoat lined with Preklek armor, black scarf, set of enchanted goggles, fingerless mithril gloves, and a never-ending supply of cigarettes.

Vampiric Gift: A boundless sanguine appetite- and what accompanies it.

Current Status: Returned to Vailkrin, and cranky about it.

Satoshi Azakhaer, Phantom Song

Name: Satoshi Azakhaer

Race: Kit Vampire Ice Eidolon

Sire: Kasyr Azakhaer- No longer bound as Sire and Fledgeling, still happily tied by all other means

Home: Frostmaw

Description: White-haired foxkin of petite stature, lightly furred with amber-flecked eyes, long, silvery whiskers, and four vulpine tails--three white and a solitary black. Typically garbed in a fur-trimmed winter longcoat, boots, gloves, goggles, and magus hat, and often with a waterweave scarf and hoarfrost manteau. Gives off a distinct, frigid aura, and rules in Frostmaw as its Queen, with Kasyr as her king-consort.

Class: Cryomancer

Weapon(s) of Choice: Ice magicks, Asorial, Winter-Imbued Xalious Staff

Vampiric Gift: Snow Blink, a shadow-stepping performed specifically through snow. Limited range, with disorientation being more potent the greater the distance crossed. Momentum does not change with teleportation. Amount of ice needed to trigger the blink is minimal, although the technique is easier to use if the supply of snow, ice, or water is larger. Cannot be used mid-casting, while distracted, or otherwise incapacitated (i.e. requires the same level of concentration as a spell would). Gift has carried over despite her vampirism being transmuted into Eidolon status.

Current Status: No longer a vampire, grown into an undead state of an Elemental. Still unfalteringly loyal to her Coterie mates despite the ties of obedience being severed.

Kirien Vahir-Ar'Anthari, Wraith

Name: Kirien Vahir-Ar'Anthari

Race: Sired Vampire (Vulpine/Amalgamation)

Home: Frostmaw (and sometimes the Underdark).

Description: Amiable but mischievous fox sporting windswept auburn hair, perky vulpine ears, a brushy tail, and a single gold-flecked amber eye with eerie black sclera. His right eye has been missing for some time now. Choice wear consists of a fine grey admiral coat, a thick, over-sized sweater, and modified boots, as well as a variety of small accessories. Smells of fruit and the earth and is actually totally blind, but perhaps sees more than most.

Class: Terramancer, self-taught, with a somewhat unorthodox casting style.

Weapon(s) of Choice: Earth magic, defensive bladework, Heresy, Arte.

Vampiric Gift: None as of yet.

Current Status: Here and there, chasing golden threads.

Svilfon, Wizard

Name: Svilfon

Race: Sired Vampire (Human)

Home: Frostmaw

Description: Gap-toothed and fanged, the jovial wizard is always dressed in his fur-lined robes with the most magnificent of pointy hats on his head. He appears slight of build, and though he seems bald, he does have some hair tucked beneath the rim of his wondrous hat. He is often accompanied by an abusive parrot, an awfully confused goat, or an altogether noble couatl named Alahir.

Current Status: Seeking revenge, fulfilling his role in the Mage's Guild, raising the son of Emiur, and generally cooking up his typical mischief around the mountains of Frostmaw, and anywhere else he decides to wander.

Description: Crimson haired with vibrant green eyes, fair skinned with a slight build and standing a mere 5’1”. Typically dressed in long gowns, 3” heels and finery. Less often in fitted leathers, knee-high boots and shadows.

Class: Druid? She isn’t sure anymore.

Weapon(s) of Choice: A Scythe and unstable magic.

Vampiric Gift: Undiscovered.

Current Status: Learning her new life, and all of the changes that come with it.


Coven

Those Vampires outside the immediate 'family', that have chosen to declare their allegiance to the Coterie. This agreement of mutual alliance is sealed upon a magically binding contract, signed in blood by the recruited vampire and either the Head of the Coterie, or his eldest fledgeling. The contract's binding is a powerful compulsion to adhere to the Tenets of the Coven--although not as powerful as the compulsion found between sire and fledgeling.


Three Tenets of the Coven:


Loyalty: You will be loyal to the Coterie; you will do them no harm, nor will you willingly aid their enemies.


Discretion: Feral vampires will not be tolerated. You will not draw unnecessary attention to yourself, or to the Coven, by hunting publicly. Avoid, when possible, killing what you feed from, though feel free to feed from those you kill. Bringing vampire hunters down upon the coterie will not be tolerated.


Responsibility: You will not sire another vampire until such a time you're deemed powerful, wise and responsible enough to deal with the inevitable repercussions of such an action. Failure to adhere to these rules will result in you being hunted down and destroyed.

Name: Muraski LeskoVac

Race: Vampire (Human)

Description: A simple man, with an elegant appearance. He lacks an eye, the scar that came from the wound which removed the other optic hardly ever covered. His garb is that of a man who is dressed in tuxedo, dress shirt, pants, shoes, tie, leather gloves, and fedora. On top of this, he has gone through great efforts to mask the fact he's a vampire. He has a locket that produces a heart beat, a mass amount of cologne to mask the scent of death, and wears gloves to cover the clammy skin.

Class: Rogue

Weapon(s) of Choice: Two miniature repeating crossbows, one sabre, two coalition vambraces, poison, traps, and anything he can find to use at a moments notice. Basically, you never know exactly what he's going to use.

Eilyo Celeste Monternine

Name: Eilyo Celeste Monternine

Race: Elder Vampire (Human/witch)

Description: The woman has thick, wavy, burgundy locks, reaching down to her waist. Her eyes are long-lashed, almond-shaped, and light mossy green. Her skin is pale, soft, porcelain, a single scar on her right cheek, near her jawline; a small jagged line, where the blood of the dragon Ravina grazed her. She stands at about five foot, seven inches, the majority of her height made up of her long, slender legs, and weighs about one hundred thirty five pounds. She's slender, athletic, with curves in all the right places, and has a generous bosom. Her face is long and slender, with full, rosy lips. Typically wearing a dress of some kind.

Class: Bard, skilled. Necromancer, not as skilled.

Weapon(s) of Choice: Necromantic spellbook, various musical instruments, her voice.

Vampiric Gift: A psychic barrier that physically protects the woman. Since it is psychic, prolong use drains her. Also has a total of four children conceived since becoming a vampire. (She cannot have anymore, though she can't understand why that gift has left her.) She was also able to hold onto her humanity, even right after being turned.


Shishi, Blue

Description: Dark haired, blue (occasionally crimson) eyed 'human' that more often than not dresses as plainly as possible in shirts and trousers that usually seem more formal than whatever activity he is involved in. A concealed blade (or wand) is almost always figuratively up his sleeve.

Vampiric Gift: No unique gift has surfaced since being turned. However, he, as a vampire, has fathered a set of living, breathing twins so the sterilizing aspect of the curse was bypassed somehow.

Description: A mysterious assassin hailing from the far provinces of Vailkrin's underground. On his left brow down to his left cheek there is a unique warrior's scar.
