Description

While a bard is a learned scholar comfortable to live a life of the finer things and culture, the Skald on the other hand is a savage warrior poet who incites rage amongst his fellow peers unlocking a primal frenzy and unleashing their inner animal. Popular among primitive cultures and races as an equivalent of sorts to the bard. It would be incorrect to say the Skald is less intelligent, more so they have a tendency to specialize in a very different type of learning, they serve as the scribe and lore keeper of their tribe passing down legends, epics, and culture through words, music, and and action. Strong in personality, strength, and spirit, the Skald is certainly a force to be reckoned with.

Strengths

A Skald excels when it comes to durability and supporting those around them, due to their nature they truly shine when surrounded by as many allied forces as possible especially those who themselves specialize in combat rather than the more focused arts of subtlety or magic.

Weaknesses

While certainly diverse, a Skald abandons a great deal of its profound jack-of-all-trades status in exchange for its endurance and specialization. As a primarily support class, a Skald finds itself struggling when its the only one benefiting from their primal beats. Inspiring while they may be, the anger and passion a Skald provides is less useful and borderline useless for those who utilize magic as concentration is typically required to wield both the forces of arcane and divine.
