About the Royal Venturil Fights
King Eboric of Venturil has purchased gladiators for an ongoing series of fights to amuse the populace of his city and, indeed, all who wish to attend. The fights are to the death, with great rewards for the victors.
OOC Information
Players competing in the fights will NPC a gladiator. They will continue with that gladiator until they either lose a duel, or attain five victories, at which time they will be awarded the gladiator as an official alt, provided that they do not have three characters already. They may then continue to fight as that gladiator, at the risk of losing and having the character killed. In addition, the winner of each fight will receive 10000 gold as a prize, and their gladiator will be awarded a special item that they may use in future fights and, if they are awarded the alt, the items will be created as customs for their character. Enrollment in the fights is always open, as there are no tournament-style brackets that can be disrupted, and even if a duelist loses, they are permitted to enter again with a different gladiator. Official Rules
Standard dueling rules apply. There will be three full rounds, with a final defense for the duelist who started the fight, three judges. Time limits will be agreed upon by the individual duelists, with the one official rule that reading time and posting time are one and the same. If the time limit is 15 minutes, the duelist has 15 minutes from the time their opponent posts.
