Rheven's Mage Tournament (2010)

Rules
- Time limit of fifteen minutes per post on all duels. There will not be a DQ for going over, but points will be docked. Fifteen minutes is ample time for any competent duelist to construct a post.
- Spells only. How your character uses spells is irrelevant, whether by the mind, trigger words, spell books or conjured with the help of wands, staves, etc; it doesn't matter. There will be no striking of any sort, physical or weapon-based, even if the weapon is enchanted. Violators of this rule will be DQed and possibly worse.
- Participants are allowed to pick judges with some degree of freedom; there will be a panel of acceptable judges listed by Rheven. Any judges on Rheven’s judge list are also eligible.
- There will be no auto hits. Control moves are allowed, but again, they must be done with some sort of magic.
- Anyone with magical skill is allowed. There will be no restrictions on classes entering, although those with only elementary control over magic will be obviously hindered.
- Duels may be held anywhere. One duelist will pick the location while the other will go first in the duel.
- Pairings in the tournament will be made at random by Rheven. Please h-mail and work with your opponent to set a time and date so the duels get done.
- The prize for winning will include an item of much RP importance with possible monetary reward as well. The item will be revealed to the winner once the tournament is complete.
- Interested individuals will have until the 12:00 am on February first to enter. Simply h-mail Rheven to enter; there is no entry fee.
