Aaken sat alone at the a table or rather around the table his size considerably larger due to an experience with a chaos orb, which forced him to grow to 15' tall and 18' long and 3' thick. it did help his voice, he wasn't a soprano with a squeak, but a tenor with stammer. As he lifted his glass of gin on the rocks with a splash of whiskey, he still thought of reasons as to why he was different, the topic on his mind since he unfroze, maybe being not naga, he wouldn't need to feel as if he should be recognized as such. He also dreamt of company, close company, maybe not romantically, but definitely devotionally, he was an out of place being, in a land he wasn't familiar with, and more over, related to a species that was known for war, and selfish desires. As well as xenophobia, something that he felt alienated him from others, even though he tried hard to overcome that first notion. Kaori enters the Red Ogre Inn, not having visited Larket in some time. She is a bit startled to find a familiar face here looking much larger than he usually does, her eyes widening for a moment. "Aaken, is that you?" The two were little more than acquaintances, but she still heads over to meet him.\ You voice was considerably deeper i mean he went from a soprano 1 to a tenor 2. He sighs, "Yeah its me, how is it going Kaori," He towered above the table even though he had wound himself around it, he turned his gaze upon her, she may consider him an acquaintance, but he hoped maybe one day she'd think of him as a friend, he needed those. Setting down his cup on the table he moves a coil out a bit so she can sit at the table, Albeit on him, but such a thing never bothered him, this was the same person who let kids play on him in Larket.

You shrugged and leaned back against a wall allowing his massive form to slink down a bit to try to keep Kaori's neck from aching to long, "I been, try to explore a part of my work that seem to yield promise, even if I am not sure how it works, maybe in time, I can present you with a weapon to try out for me, based on it." He kind kept his eyes moving trying not to keep his eyes entirely focused on her, namely he did not want to challenger her, or imply he desired to, "I may have also had a falling out with a friend of mine, she was quite upset,"

Kaori appreciates Aaken's effort so that she's not forced to look so far up, though a little frown forms on her lips when he informs her of a falling out. "Oh, what happened?" She can comment on the idea of a weapon another time, this seems a more important matter.

You paused trying to think back on what Lemoni had said. "Well the way she put it was, How can be your girlfriend, if you never notice when I try to be romantic with you, or why you are never responsive to stimuli, or even return a kiss," He paused taking a sip of his drink. "Figures, I spent so long working in the Naga palace where that stuff occurred so often even prior to hormonal change.., I am sorry I can stop if your uncomfortable.

Kaori seems to realize what Aaken is talking about rather easily despite his apparent difficulty in stating what he wishes to get across. "Oh, this was a partner of yours? Or a prospective one? Are you unable to have romantic feelings?"

You tried to use the questions she was posing to try to figure out what he needed to explain, it helped considerably he wasn't good with words (oocly the reason why is speaking is a second language for him communication by thought through touch is the first) "She was a good friend, is a good friend, I never um, what she wanted, I never um, bedded her I guess could be a word to describe it, maybe thats why she was upset, Um I donot believe I am incapable I just um, I think I am desensitized to it, I just appreciated her closeness, her touch, her freedom to talk about anything sensitive or not, and feel like we were close, the physical comfort of her touch her stroking, her presence, it was enough for me, I guess the romantic act of kissing and bedding, just never occurred to me." He hesitantly laughed, "Guess that shows how much I know of love, don't it?" He tried to smile, make light of his predicament.

Kaori nods while Aaken stumbles a bit through his explanation, still having no true trouble understanding. "You didn't desire her in such a way then, perhaps? I am inexperienced in love as well, truthfully. I have never had a lover or even been all that close to someone, really."

You nodded, "It seem we both don't know much about love, whether or not I didn't or did desire her, maybe I just didn't notice, I mean, aside from this scarf I wear I mean, I technically don't have anything offensively to show, I mean, maybe I just don't take note of the body that females which me to respond to, I mean I wouldn't know where to begin, or what to enjoy, I am truly at loss," he paused, unsure of what to say next, so he said what was on his mind, "Kaori, um we haven't know each other very long, but, um would you be willing to join me on an adventure that maybe we both can come away with a better understanding, of being closer, maybe, I can um, bring food, maybe we can go on a picnic, or a hunting trip, some thing we can do to try to be a friendship?" He struggled with the words as if speaking were not his first language, but the meaning behind them was meant well and not with intent to make embarrassment.

Kaori smiles when Aaken makes his suggestion, again getting the drift of what he's saying without a struggle. "Perhaps we could, although I don't know when I'll be free for such a thing. It would be nice to get out for a while, I don't really have many in this realm that I count as friends."

You nodded, "I don't have that many either, um, but um I can make the time, whenever, um, so that we can get to know each other better, I would love to consider you a friend."

Kaori rises from her seat now, holding back a yawn with her hand. "We will talk about it next time we meet, I should be going for the night. It is getting rather late. Have a pleasant eve, Aaken." She smiles to him and heads out the door.

You waved goodbye, he took a sip of his drink, "Friends, here's to friends." He raised the glass, and drank it back and put it on the table, curling up by the wall he drifted off to sleep.
