RP:Unlocking the Mystery of Awkward Healers

From HollowWiki

This is a Healer's Guild RP.

Part of the Time Heals All Wounds Arc

Synopsis: The Healer's Guild finally have their first Guild meeting after quite some time. There is plenty of diverse, socially awkward healers. Some with blue hair, purple hair, wings, fresh skin, frizzy hair, and dread locks. Some with healing the dead, alchemy, trauma, druidism, ice magic, and cosmetology. It's a madhouse. Emilia makes sure that she partners each of the strange healer's by placing artifacts, so the healer's have to meet with each other and learn something.

Cenril: Small Garden

The sun shines high, and the coastal breeze is light, so it is a perfect day for a brunch out. As one would walk into the small garden, they would walk under a wooden arch that was decorated with cream colored carnations. In the midst of the garden is a long wooden table that has a thin, long and red table cloth that drapes down the middle of the table. On top of the red cloth is a long macramé table cloth that is set on top of the red for a more bohemian decoration style. The table is decorated with pots full of various colored flowers, and various colored non-lit candles that are tall on candle holders, or small fat ones that just sit on the tablecloth. The table has golden plates that are painted with green leaved designs with silverware set in place. Around the table are the stone benches from the garden that are set around the table, but multicolored pillows are placed on the stone benches for more comfort for the healers who would sit down on them. Off to the left of the long table set-up is another table with caterers that are draped in black and white. They look classy than the bohemian style of the brunch, but they represent the dining service within the local Cenril Inn. Although the caterers bring the food, the brunch serving table is decorated similarly to the theme of the meet and greet. The serving table is filled with eggs, bacons, sausages, triangled cucumber sandwiches, baked goods that are glazed with pastel pinks, purples, and blues, various ranges of different fruits, salads, and so much more. The caterers wait patiently behind the serving table for anyone who requests certain foods. Caterers also walk around with silvered platters with orange mimosas and sparkling waters that are decorated with orange wedges and lemons. Other than the food table and the dining table, the garden remains the same to resemble the earthly beauty it creates.

Penelope had been there early with Emilia and Edith. The three were taking the initiative to order where people should go, where tables should be to set up. While Emilia prepares for her mini activity, the eldered Edith and the freckled Penelope decorate the table to prepare for the healers from the guild. Penelope sports a fern colored wrap skirt that has cream, mini floral designs on it. The wrap skirt is tied off to the side. The wrap skirt is paired with a simple white t-shirt that has flared out t-shirt sleeves and she wears brown sandals that look similar to huaraches that cover her toes. Her hair is down and unkempt as usual and she only wears slight shimmer on her freckle-dusted cheekbones to highlight her natural features. As the morning passes on, it is almost time for the guests to arrive. Emilia is the official guest greeter, so Penelope lets the lead healer take on the role of greeting everyone who walks through the arch. Penelope has taken the initiative to stand by one of the stone benches by a claimed pillow and tell anyone who walks by to take a seat anywhere they would like to.

Emilia had arrived early to assist in setting up the meeting with her fellow guild mates at the small garden. Arriving first had allowed the Genasi to hide some objects in the garden for the others to find during this event. It was shortly after the hiding of items that Penelope and Edith arrived. Working with the two women the garden began to turn into a flourish of a meeting place. The healer wore a simple grey long sleeved gown with a deep forest green herb pouch hanging off her hip, no shoes. The woman did not fancy having her feet trapped in them when she could feel the soft grass instead. For this occasion the healer left her waist long dreadlocks down with some sporting small metal wraps with stones or runes etched in the metal. As each member would arrive the head healer would greet them with a friendly smile and a casual ‘hello <insert individual name>, so happy you could make it’.

Kailani could not recall the last time she ventured into Cenril, it was an area that she tended to avoid as the preferred a more natural setting versus...something so man-made. It might have been a nice day, and the coastal breeze was sure enjoyable, but Kailani was still less than keen on having to travel through the city to get to this meeting. The woman with the striking blue hair eventually wonders into the garden area. She might be a druid, but she prefers preparation in every situation. As such, she is dressed as though they could encounter a fight at this very meeting, armed and armored. The druid preferred hardened leathers over metal armors. The only individual who Kailani has formally met is Emilia, the icy one may or may not have determined that the druid tends to spend her days alone. She's quite reclusive. It will hopefully come as no surprise that Kailani keeps her greeting a simple one, a nod. Her hermitish habits mean that Kailani does not really think to go out of her way to try and greet the unfamiliar face, she just seeks a comfortable patch of earth to plant her rump upon...and honestly...Kailani is not certain who is guild member and who is a caterer. At least not quite yet.

Callum had been rather uncertain about going. It’s not that Cal -hated- people--oh no he loved people. Well, okay… he loved their money. But that’s not the point! He’s a very cautious individual! Gotta be in a place like Lithrydel with all of those unsavory witch hunters about. If it wasn’t for the fact that Meri had assured him about some of the Healer’s Guild members being quite alright (like Emilia and Talyara), then he probably wouldn’t have gone at all! So, he did what any sensible person (ie: rogue-type) would do: he scoped things out from afar and watched the people that headed into theatre while properly cloaked in his Rogue’s Guild medallion that doubled as a shadowy cloak! When it seemed like most had gone in and were probably not witch hunters, he’d head inside, without that shadowy cloak of his. On the outside, people would find the Catalian to be impeccably dressed, in a black waistcoat with gold embroidery and black pants, perfectly shined black dress shoes, and a lovely dark emerald green long-sleeve button-up shirt for a much needed pop of color. On the inside, they’d not know of the paranoia that the witch hunters often brought on in settings like this or the way he was taking in their body language, the way they spoke, and carefully calculated whether or not they might be lying about something. Callum Rochester was a rather complex guy--Meri can attest to this--and it’s a wonder that he even found himself in a calm, cool, and collected guild like the Healer’s. Once he made it inside to the garden fully, he’d greet Emilia with a nod and a hello, then take a few moments to fully appreciate the garden itself, as well as the floral decorations that were used. The paranoia trickled away into nothingness with thanks to the place, and once he’d settled himself enough, his attention would find itself on the people, albeit in a discreet way.

Brennia had been spending a lot of time in Cenril lately because of Zahrani, so she was more than happy to attend a healer’s guild meeting which takes place here. The avian wears a chord knit oversized sweater that falls off the shoulder and is specially cut to allow for the space where her wings come out of her back. The sand colored sweater hangs loosely down to her black legging covered hips and shows off a hint of the tattoo pattern on her neck/shoulder area even though it covers the majority of her caramel toned skin. “Emilia!” The melodic alto timbre greets her dear friend with a bright smile that pokes dimples in her cheeks and bends down to offer a quick lose hug because she knows the ice Genasi’s aversion to warmth. “So nice to see you,” the six foot two woman still looks rather thin, but not as tired this time. The dark as night feathered wings shift excitedly, showing the bard’s emotion before she makes her way to a seat near anyone in particular since she doesn’t recognize any of these guild members. As she sits, she tightens the high thick ponytail at the crown of her head and it swings with every turn of the woman’s head. Teal colored gaze catches on someone with blue hair and she lingers there a moment in admiration of the unique color. Then her attention is stolen by the sharply dressed man that had entered some time before herself, but she smiles kindly if he catches her staring and sips on a lemon water that she ordered from a caterer.

Joan appeared at the appointed time for the Healers brunch at the small garden dressed in a purple jeweled tone half dress jacket over a simple sweetheart shaped bodice top in light violet, next came a clinched waisted skirt in a matching light violet color, a wide jeweled purple tone belt encircled her waist under the clinched waisted skirt. With a belt pouch that rode on her off her belt. The skirt of the dress flared out slightly from the waist stopping about mid-thigh, under it was paired a dark pair of skin tight stockings and dainty purple jeweled tone slippers on her feet. Her stylist deep amethyst hair done just so and features schooled into a pleasant set the vampire made her way into the brunch, offering polite ‘hellos’ ‘hi’s’ ‘thanks for inviting me’, once she was done she’d move over to the long table set for bunch and ask for little nibbles of the cucumber sandwiches.

Penelope remains standing as people either take their seat, or stand as well. She gives off her gracious greetings. The young healer stands with her hands entwined within the other in patience and grace. As everyone enters and there are no more stragglers, she begins by grabbing a glass of champagne slickly off of a nearby caterer. She does not drink yet, but she does lift up a butter knife to gently tap the crystal glass for attention of the healers gathered round the colorful table. The woman takes a moment to gather the faces, and for a brief moment, her face twists into admiration of everyone that surrounds. She takes in wings, cool blue hair, dapper clothing, sweet dreads, and amethyst hair. Everyone had their own unique sense of style and flare. Everyone diverse in their own ways. Refreshing. “Welcome, y’all. I am so happy that many of you have made it. I know Cenril is a little—out of way for some. Including myself. If I could all have you gather round the table, that would be lovely,” the Ardelian’s words flow with lack of nerves as she stares at all the strange faces around the table. Practice with those patients, amiright or amiright? Easy peasy lemon squeazy. “We will get brunch truly started, but take a snack first if you need to. Though, first, we sort of want to get to know our healing members before we –truly- pig out. Literally, thanks for the Cenril Inn for catering this shindig for us.” She raises her glass in appreciation before she gently sets the mimosa down on the table before her, so it is now out of the way. “This meeting today is to really introduce ourselves to each other. Many of us are new faces, and perhaps some of you –actually- know each other, but for me, you appear to all be bright shiny new faces,” she muses. “And I probably as well for most of you. So what we want to do is go ahead and go around the table. Say your name, your specialty, and well, maybe what you want to learn from others or just an interesting fact about yourself.” There is a beat for an brief exhale. “I’ll start. I’m Penelope Halifax, owner of Halifax Roots in Kelay. I dabble in the herbal department, but that is not necessarily where I want to land. I’m a focused non-magical healer and I would say that I am very controlled in trauma situations, but the goal I want to reach is in physical therapy. I would say I am on a mission for magical tutelage to help me progress in those areas.” The physician gives a firm nod before she turns for the genasi to take the floor of the circle. Penelope goes ahead and seats herself down on the pillow on the stone bench.

Emilia stood when it came to be her turn to speak after Penelope had greeted the entire table with a warm welcome. Smoothing a hand down the front of her grey dress the Genasi cleared her throat before speaking softly, “Welcome again my fellow healers and thank you Miss Penelope for not only setting up this lovely brunch, but for that lovely speech. It is a pleasure to have you within the guild. I see a bright future for you as you find way to achieve your goals” She spoke only loud enough to be heard by those gathered while she played with the hem of her dull sleeve while she spoke. Once she loved being around people, yet that seemed like a lifetime ago. Now she struggled to be around a crowd, especially keeping that elemental cold of hers in control and preventing winter from happening in the garden. “I'm Emilia, this much I am sure you all know, but it is each other that you may or may not be familiar with yet. Today I hope you leave with a new friend and resource in your future healing journey. We are great as individuals, but together we are beyond amazing. Each of us has a unique talent and skill set. I believe that together we can overcome anything the chaos of the land can throw our way, but in order to do that we must be aware of what each of us can do and cannot do. You never know when you may need a helping hand of another.” The healer rambled some in her introduction, fingers playing at the sleeve of the dress trying to keep her calm at speaking before a group. The Genasi was never the best in large gatherings. A flash of a nervous smile, “I am skilled in both the herbal arts and the magical arts. An interesting fact about me is magical healing can interfere with my natural healing causing a reverse result…along with a few other oddities to the normal anatomy, but what else would one expect from a winter-monster?” It was not something she tended to share, yet if she ever needed a healing hand she would want those around her to know this fact. Another smile and the woman retook her seat on the cushioned pillow so that the other members could follow suit in introduction of themselves, their strength in the healing arts, and something interesting they want to share about themselves.

Oh. Everyone was at the table. Oh, she is expected to actually gather around the table. Why? Tables are overrated. So man-made, but okay... The druid removes herself from the earth that she has claimed for a seat so that she can claim a seat at the table. She does this right after Penelope and Emilia introduce herself, they lead by fine example and should give the druid plenty of material to pull form. Yet, the druid is going to fall short of a charming introduction. "Kailani. Druid." Honestly, the blue-haired woman felt that was telling enough of what her skill sets and interests were. If the crowd was hoping for a more elaborate answer, none comes. The druid rather awkwardly claims a set at the table, the seat that she happens to claim is next to her fellow people-skeptic, Callum. Maybe she felt like a kindred hermit spirit within him. The druid does notice the way that Brennia is admiring her blue-hair, which at least prompts a nod from Kailani.

Callum would eventually take a seat at the table once he felt enough at ease--but not before he raised an eyebrow at Brennia and her staring and just smirked. Yes, he was aware of your existence. They’d seen each other at the Snowflake Soiree in The Enchantment, after all! When he was there with Meri. Penelope would say her bit and when it got around to being his turn, he’d give a sort of half-assed wave and one of those cool and charismatic smiles. “Hey. Callum Rochester, but I prefer Cal. Botanist and alchemist. Graduated from a prestigious magic school in Catal, majored in storm magicks and botany there. I was Larket’s Royal Botanist for a time. Own my own delivery business, working as an herb and flower supplier mostly, for the healer and floral shops in most areas in Lithrydel, but I occasionally sell potions and elixirs as well. My focus here is arcane healing, as I’m already quite skilled in herbal. Tried to work on it in the Mage’s Guild, but the place just doesn’t suit me. I’ve been self-teaching myself to heal with my water magic, for now.” He pondered adding in that Talyara and Lanara had promised to help him in the ways of witchcraft, but considering Talyara wasn’t here and Lanara had to return to Kelvar to take care of her daughter, it hadn’t felt like the time. Kailani is finally noticed--how does anyone not notice the lady with the bright blue hair sitting next to him?--and he eyed her curiously. Mostly, he was trying to remember what a druid was. Wait. Duh. They talked about them all the time in his botany classes at school! Druid equals plants. Hello, super quiet plant lady. Be Cal’s botany bff. Were this an anime, he’d have a case of heart eyes. Platonic heart eyes, because hella complicated hella gay dude, but heart eyes nonetheless.

Brennia stands to share with ease once it’s her turn. She doesn’t have to speak up in order to be heard by everyone, thanks to her bardic abilities. “My name is Brennia, dean of the bard college in Schezerade. Some time ago I had campaigned for senator of Schezerade, but lost to a minion of Kahran.” With a slight shrug of one shoulder and a smile remaining, the avian moves on, “I work well on basic healing like sutures, healing balms, setting broken bones and such. I really like what I do, but sometimes I wonder what it would be like to explore something a little less serious. Like, face creams, washes and makeup safe for anyone to use… real skincare type cosmetics.” She lets out a start to a chuckle, “I guess that sounds a little silly,” another shrug and sip of her water as she lowers herself back down into her chair.

Joan took her small plate of cucumber sandwiches, the offered mimosa also and wandered over to the nearest pillowed seat stone bench, taking her seat quietly and seating her plate on the table before the novice healer and Novus Morior Necromancer listened as everyone around the table went around introducing their selves and speaking abit about why they were here in the guild, Joan thought back to the conversations she had with Emilia a couple weeks back on why she herself joined and her desires that where expressed on what she wished to learn and gain, these still held true for her as she bob her head self thought. When it came to her turn she’d take a small sip of the mimosa before speaking, “Ah, yes hello! My name is Joan Blackheart, I’m here through the Necromancers guild. I joined to help my studies with a aim to best keep a body, well corpse looking whole and life like. Neat little stitches, best potions and poisons to use, herbal and magical healing. I mean...it’s not about death twenty-four seven, I will need to be able to treat living people to, just to be well rounded as I am also a merchant. And having hurt and wounded workers or business partners is just not good for business, and if I can treat them myself with learned knowledge would save me so much coin.” The vampire nodded right after, she knew a few faces from the gatherings she attended last year, not enough to place faces to names...but enough to just nod hello. “Also...I have attended two of the tournaments as a novice healer. Nothing major.”

Penelope blinks at Kailani as she speaks, and her eyes remain on her as she slowly turns her head in hesitation towards Callum in a cricket sort of way. Was she going to say anything else? Though, most people said that Penelope talked a lot, so the healer does not push for more, and her face remains soft all-the-same. On the other hand, Callum has a more booming personality which is, for once, overwhelming to the physician. Maybe he is more of a talker than her. The list of titles is intimidating and makes Penelope sort of want to step away from the table with the listing of studies and degrees. Does the list ever end? Then again, her interest is piqued, yet the use of arcane magic is not necessarily what she can grasp. If she were to have any tutor, it would have to be one with druid abilities, though maybe the two related in some aspects? She did not know, she was all new to the whole magic world. Perhaps she should go to a school of magic. Either way, her mind spins from Callum’s wonderfully, lengthy introduction before her eyes dance to Brennia who talks about cosmetics. Anti-aging cream really is necessary. The beauty community could be booming, Brennia! Go for your dreams! It’s not silly! Well, this is what Penelope wanted to say, but she remains quiet with that respectful little smile on her freckled face. Eyes then flick to Joan and the girl stares. Making the dead more life like? “Wow,” the girl breathes out in a little fascination. The plain Ardelian human never would have thought of that. With a shake of her head, she snaps back into reality. “We have quite the mix up here. And I hope that we can all learn off of each other in some way or fashion.” The girl then turns to Emilia to take it away. Drum roll please? Maybe? Should have hired a bard band for background noise.

Emilia let out a slow breath that she had been holding after everyone had introduced themselves. They were all strangers with different skills and interests, yet they were getting along, thus far, with one another just fine. “What a lovely group of people we have here. Not everyone could make it, which is alright. I find that we will have more meetings in the future,” here she paused to point with a finger toward the metal archway that lead into an opening space beyond that had a partial building standing, “over there in the Academy for healing that is being built. In the meantime, I have hidden a few trinkets around the garden for you all to find one… it will match up with another from the group as the items hidden are in pairs. I would like it if after today you put in the effort to meet up on your own terms with the person whose item matches yours to learn a bit about what they have to teach.” The items were not hidden with expert care in the garden. Emilia didn’t want it to be a big thing, just tucked away from sight enough around the area near the table for brunch that they would be spotted as they mingled with one another. “If anyone has questions, just ask. If none, please do enjoy the brunch and try to get to know each other,” she finished with a nervous smile as she looked around at the group hoping this exercise would help bond the strangers around her. The mix of the people she was intrigued to see who landed with who, knowing that she had not put herself into the mix.

People were staring at Kailani, and the poor hermit was starting to feel overwhelmed with the situation. The druid was not typically nervous, but it was starting to happen, and it started with Penelope. Why was she staring at Kailani so intently? Callum seemed friendlier, but the druid was uncertain because she does not often put herself these social situations. Everyone takes their turn to speak their interests and their specialities, which causes Kailani to start figure that she is probably the odd person out. Emilia is the one speaking now, and she explains that they are supposed to find some objects...Which is a relief to Kailani because it means that she can depart from the seated position at the table. It does not take Kailani to find one of these items, which was obviously half the point for they were not hidden with the intent of being hard to find. Kailani comes to stand in front of a silver cat, still being as quiet as ever. Kailani patiently waits to see whom else might join her. Hopefully she'll do a better job of socializing with whoever the poor soul stuck with her is.

Callum would eat a little bit of everything, drank a mimosa, and sat there until it seemed like most people were finished and getting up as well. Emilia’s activity had been voiced and in typical Cal fashion, he’d been eyeing the whole area, wondering just where he’d go to find his item. The cherry blossoms had drawn his attention surprisingly. It was one of few things he’d yet to put in his personal greenhouse--in bonsai form, of course. When it came time, he’d head over to the cherry tree and rooted around in the lower branches a bit. And then… aha! He found his item. It was a golden horse! He studied its craftsmanship carefully (okay, honestly, he’s oggling the gold and wonder if anyone would truly notice him taking it) then looked around, hoping to spy someone with something that might match his own. Kailani had that silver cat, but… was it the match? Hm.

Brennia steps away from the table to eventually find herself near Callum in a natural way, “Callum was it?” She holds out a hand for a shake, “pleasure to make your acquaintance.” She periodically looks away from the dapper man while looking for the trinket, “being a botanist and having an affinity for plans and what they can do, I was just wondering if you’d like to help me with a cosmetics line? If it’s of no interest to you, I understand, but if you might want to just jot down a guide I could use - that would be okay too,” the avian would love to have a business partner in this, but she didn’t want to assume a botanist would want to help in something so casual. “If you'll excuse me,” she takes a few steps back to flutter her wings so she may get a better view of the small garden until she sees something glittering in a patch of golden dandelions. Landing softly by the flowers and leaning down to claim the item, a golden horse, “clever hiding spot.” She lifts her gaze to wait and see who has the matching item, but that seems to be the gentleman she’d just been chatting up and the avian meanders near him again as she holds out the golden horse, “same.”

Joan finished off her cucumber sandwich in quick order,, taking a napkin to light wipe any crumbs away at the corners of her lips before she gets up from her seat, those voided eyes glance around the garden area till she catches a glimpse of sliver near the small reflective pool, making her way over the woman bends at the waist as she picks up the small silver cat. Cupping it into her palm she turns to face the rest of the party with a small smile set on her pale lips as she looks to the other three people to see which had the matching object, noting that the druid Kailani was standing near the same silver cat that she herself was holding, Joan would cross the small distance between them, “Yo, Kailani was it?! I have the same object, pleasure to meet you!”

Penelope is totally one to move after Emilia dismisses for the brunch. Yum, right? Instead of going to search for the trinket first, the woman pushes past people to make her way to the food. This was quite a Penelope thing if anyone knew her monster appetite. The petite woman grabs her plate in the process and wanders over to the catering brunch table where she has the caterers dish her up sausage, a sandwich, strawberries and grapes galore, and a chocolate stuffed croissant. A guilty pleasure. As the woman pivots and avoids conversation until she gets back to the table, something small stands out in the corner of her eye on the cobble. A pill bug. A rollie pollie. “Aww what are you doing li’l guy?” She begins to slowly follow the pill bug’s tracks until it goes into the garden and climbs on a rock. She begins to poke the pill bug as she kneels down and it flips on its’ back where all of its legs begin to wiggle. Ack! Then, an object pops out in the garden of color. The girl slowly slinks over to a bushel of lavender where she finds a makeshift blackbird. The woman squats down with her plate in one hand while she picks up the bird in the other. Upon the blackbirds ankle is a tag that is written ‘Talyara’. Talyara… the name had sounded so familiar to the physician. The girl with the dark hair and the deep green eyes. The one she met at the ball in Enchantment. Talyara was one not present, but Penelope would know how to seek the woman, she was sure of it. In that moment, Krice had also passed her mind—the man who she had disappointed in her rage of emotion. Krice’s love and Lanara’s beloved sister. The woman slowly stands and moves back to the table where she begins to devour her plate.

Callum shook his head at Brennia, “Like Penelope said, it wasn’t a bad idea. I mean, how do you think I keep this face looking so great?” Cue Cal posing his face just right so Brennia could admire that lovely skin of his. “I’m just appalled that I didn’t think of it first, honestly.” He’d find his item and then she’d find hers and he’d just nod. “S’pose we can talk more about your idea when we meet up sometime soon!”

Kailani lifts a brow at Joan's choice of greeting. Yo. Weird. "Hi." The blue-haired woman let's her gaze travel away from Joan, noting the other pairings that have been formed. When her blue-eyes do find focus on Joan again, the druid does not offer up much in the way of conversation.

Emilia wandered over to the table of catered goods from the Inn. Unlike Penelope this lady only put an assortment of berries onto her plate before wandering off to sit on the ground near to the water where she could watch the people within her guild mingle with one another as she ate her berries. Here, at a safe distance from the warmies the Genasi could relax and in turn it began to snow about the woman for a moment. From here she would make note, “You all can keep your trinkets if you like.” This would mean that Cal could enjoy his little horse made of pure gold. It looked much like the one Bre had, in fact almost looked like it belonged to a much larger set of golden horses from a time long ago. The cats were made of solid silver and the blackbirds Pene found were of obsidian. Wherever the Genasi got the items they were not cheap toys.

Penelope turns herself around on the stone, pillowed bench as Callum mentions her name. “Yes,” she cues in with a full mouth. “Callum’s right. That beauty community. I’ll have to steal some of your products, Brennia. I think it’s a great idea! I have a few lip scrubs I’ve made at the shop if you ever want me to teach you,” she then moves her plate, she is still sitting but she faces the two that are standing.

Brennia finds her gaze seeking out Penelope, “she did?” Brennia doesn’t remember the woman speaking much, but she believes that Callum believes he heard so. Maybe she will even bring Penelope in on this whole cosmetics train and just like that the fellow healer chimes in, “I believe the three of us will make a great team.” Then the bard is admiring his skin, “you are quite a handsome man.” Her compliment aimed as a matter of fact thing and not a flirt at all - Brennia is always quick to give credit where credit is due. The avian doesn’t want to judge, but he seems the taken sort and if not then Brennia definitely doesn’t seem his type. “I eagerly look forward to our collaboration mister Callum, here,” she offers up the horse trinket. “You may find me in Schezerade, the House of Ara or with the Isran Collective here in Cenril. I hate to be the first to leave, but there is a matter I must attend to.” She makes a point to pay Penelope and Emilia a visit to offer a polite goodbye before the avian unfurls her massive black wings in order to take off into the night sky with effortless beats from the feathery appendages.

Joan pockets her silver cat into her belt pouch before offering her left hand out towards the Druid, not the least bit off put by the other’s lack of conversation, “I recently met another druid, think she needed help. Went by a R sounding name, she might have been tainted or something.” She frowned.

Penelope smiles brightly at the thought of being a ‘team’. It was calming and refreshing to know there were other healers with great ideas. “Awesome, I’m sure we will meet soon then,” she then looks at Callum’s skin. It was very smooth. “Wow, your pores are so small,” she blinks before touching her own skin. “Well, then, you will have to teach me your secrets.” She then nods to Brennia. “Don’t be worried, we were just glad you could stop by! We will see more of you soon,” she gives a partial wave to Brennia before sticking a fork of chopped sausage in her mouth.

Callum would indeed pocket that gold horse. Maybe, instead of selling it, he’d give it to Fleur. It might be the one thing that his werewolf child couldn’t destroy when she was angry! And when Brennia offered up her own horse, well… he’d pocket that too. Fleur can pretend it was her mother and father’s horses. Or something that kids do. Look, he had a crappy rich kid childhood. This is why he’s a plant nerd. The avian made it known she was going to take her leave and he’d just nod, “Gotcha. Will do.” To Penelope and the rest, he’d say, “Honestly. I should probably get going too. My kid’s being babysat by her aunt again and I’d rather her not be possibly taught how to wield the forces of darkness like her cousin is. But, uh… if you guys need a supplier, then let me know. I don’t charge guildmates.” It’s not like he’s hurting for income anyway. With that, he’d take his leave as well. But, you know, through the door and not by flying.

Kailani was reaching her limits of this interaction. She was already thrown into a group of people that she did not know, expected to do the whole introduction/say something special about yourself thing, and now mingle...and they wanted the druid to do this in a concrete jungle. Her skin felt like it was crawling and she was ready to leave. Cities were absolutely vile places, Cenril was amongst the worst in her view. Joan offers a hand, Kailani takes it but hesitantly. Joan's hand is given a shake and then it is released. It is about this moment that Kailani realizes that Joan perhaps is not amongst the living. "Ah," is all Joan gets in response to this story of this other druid whose name may or may not begin with an R. "It was nice to meet you, Joan, but I will be on my way now." Should she say goodbye to the rest of the group? In the back of her mind, Kailani recognizes she probably -should- but....well one earns themselves the reputation of a hermit for a reason, no? So no additional goodbyes are spoken, not even to her future plant BFF, Callum.

Callum also said to Penelope on the way out, "Aloe does wonders. Especially when you freeze it into ice cubes!"

Penelope finds her gaze on the blue haired woman who is sort of a shell. The frizzy haired girl tilts her head at the interaction between Joan and her. The healer understood now. Kailani was a hermit. A natural one. The freckled one was going to make that bound to change. Kailani would be a target to inherit. She then snaps out of it and looks at Callum. “Kiddos. Charming,” pause. If Penelope knew it was Fleur, she would have made the connection to Meri, but unfortunately she did not. “See you around, beauty guru,” she waves the man off before finishing her plate.

Joan shrugs both jacket covered shoulders once Kailani make her short one word answer and seemly exit conversation. Joan got the vibe that the druid was not much for chit-chat or gathering, that was fine with the budding Necromancer slash novice healer, the dead didn’t talk back...and she only had to be chatty when she dealt with those who wanted to talk or she felt she had to talk to while treating as a healer. It was cool either way, her attention turned towards the spread of food!

Emilia watched people start to leave after mingling at little with one another. Penelope even found a friend with a little bug fella. It went good? Right? It was a good start to mingling a mix of different healers.

Penelope mentally thinks it totally went good. She then stands up and begins to clean up with all the caterers. Although not a lot was munched on, at least she can donate the rest for the ones in need. Until next time, folks.
