Frozen Throne

Satoshi is not being very professional. After two and a half days of not sleeping, an evening spent being ambushed by Frost Giant monks, and a constant fretting over the Time Lord's potential return, Satoshi is just a little bit tired. Just a little. She did have a nap earlier after all, at Eliason's insistence, that counts for something. However, a few hours ago, the full weight of her exhaustion hit Satoshi, which led to her closing off the throne room, shoo'ing away the guards, and promptly falling asleep curled up on throne. Satoshi's been here since, unconscious, and with only Tharn for company--as the giant outright refuses to leave the kit's side since her near abduction.

Kasyr strides into the room, the doors cast upon for only the briefest of moments, before they slam closed behind him. ...A bit too close for comfort, really, given that they nearly clip his trenchcoat, and by extension, the tail beneath. Nonetheless, the Kensai doesn't allow himself to grow overtly distracted- instead making his way over towards the Center of the throne room. For his part, the Revenant's looking somewhat well- whatever bits of unkemptness might be apparent in his clothing and mannerisms able to be attributed to Vailkrin politics. "'Hem."

Satoshi has to admit, being nudged awake by the elbow of a Frost Giant is one of the less pleasant ways to be pulled out of sleep. Not that this does anything to stop Tharn, who insistently harasses Satoshi until she's grumbles her acknowledgement and sits up, hair and clothing looking fairly ruffled. "Wha-- Oh! Hi." Owlish blinking aside, the magus slips off her seat and pads over to Kasyr, so that she can bump her forehead to his in greeting. As she leans up to steal herself a kiss from the kensai, the kit stops to look back at Tharn pointedly. The guard doesn't budge, and Satoshi heaves a sigh. "Do you -really- think he's going to let someone steal me, Tharn? Honestly?" Looking miffed, but having no valid argument, Tharn dips his head to the pair and withdraws, although not completely out of earshot. Just in case.

Kasyr isn't really bothered by the idea of an audience, and proceeds to press a kiss to Satoshi's cheek and forehead while she berates her guard. And it's with that same easy-going manner that he slips his hands into his pockets and proceeds to lean back on his heels, the Revenant simply peering over at his wife. "Not that I'm happy someone made the effort in the first place..." The kensai heaves out a sigh, abruptly shifting forward so he's balanced on the balls of his feet, " Maybe a little hunting party for the Coterie es in order."

Satoshi smirks, because she can't say she's against the idea of some Coterie-induced revenge. Yet when she replies, it isn't exactly in agreement, "For now, Hildegarde is investigating the exiles to see who hired them for the job in the first place. And see if there are any others who are considering taking up the offer." As the six who had tried are quite dead now, Satoshi's not sure how many others are willing to volunteer. Still, she's being cautious--while Tharn is being an oversized mother hen. Reaching up to deliver another kiss during one of the revenant's heel-to-toe shifts, Satoshi adds, "And why're you looking so rumpled, hm~? Napping on a throne too~?" Hands absently work to smooth out Kasyr's vest and coat, more for the sake of contact than any hope of actually defeating wrinkles.

Kasyr sticks his tongue out at Satoshi, looking altogether bemused, "City of the dead, Cherie. That whole, not exactly needing to sleep thing means paperwork et problems are always piling up, mon amour. That...et, well. I'm trying to keep better tabs on the cultist population. They're problematic, et all." The revenant stoops forward at about this point, if only to kiss the bridge of Satoshi's nose. " Anyways, I suppose investigatations are the right way to go. As much fun as..trial by error could be." Which is to say 'Mass Slaughter. "Oh. Also, Caught wind that there's a possible job for the guild. J'suppose you've heard too?"

Satoshi glances to either side, just to make sure she and Kasyr are properly alone, before the kensai is given an almost sheepish, droop-earred look. She doesn't like to admit she's out of the loop, even to her husband. "Honestly? I haven't been paying it much attention. What with the wraith's grave being robbed, the ambush and bounty, and that paladin's premonition about Frostmaw... my mind's been a bit preoccupied. What sort of job?"

Kasyr awkwardly tips his head to one side, ruffling his own hair, "Er. Well. It's a request from Vailkrin's...'Church'. Apparament, someone es looking to get ahold of some items that aren't easily obtained through the usual channels. J'en sais pas about the exacts- given that they are waiting to be contacted before elaborating. Still, it might be a ...well needed distraction. Et it's not like it hurts to keep up the guilds Reputation."

Satoshi follows up Kasyr's hair-ruffling with her own hand, if only to smooth down the platinum-tipped strands back down into a semblance of order. "Hah, I was half expecting you to say it was a contract on me~. Wishful thinking." To want a contract on your head...? "We'd be able to figure out the source then, no? Did you want me to come with you to meet this client?" Satoshi grins then, an elbow lightly nudging into the revenant's side. "Or is this your attempt to ask me on a date? I could certainly use the break. I'm... reluctant to leave Frostmaw, of course. But Svilfon and Hildegarde are here, and that paladin I mentioned is an emissary from Chartsend. He's being joined by a score of their Desert Legion. We're fairly secure, I think, for me to depart briefly."

Kasyr offers Satoshi a cheeky grin, "I think a brief break from matters of the state would do us both some good, mon amour. Et, can I really be faulting for wanting to take you out on a date, mon amour? A gorgeous damoiselle shouldn't be left to her own devices." The kensai offers her a roguish grin, before he tips his head off to the other side, "Sounds like a plan?"

Satoshi looks thoughtful at the offer. A hand is even lifted to tap at her chin as she mulls it over. "You make an interesting offer... Sounds like a date~." After throwing a cautious look over her shoulder, the foxkin leans forward then, rising up on tip toes to whisper into one of the revenant's calico ears. "Should we leave now, before my prison warden decides to interrupt us? Or is this a date for another night?"

Kasyr draws one hand up beneath her chin, if only so he can pull her into a brief kiss. "That little misadventure es probably going to be a date for another night, mon cher. But that said, that's not to say we can't have one tonight, as well."

Satoshi glances one more time over her should before taking hold of Kasyr's hand and giving it a light tug. "Then let's get out of here. Unless you -want- a 16 foot chaperone?" The magus pauses long enough in her tugging him toward the door to look at the kensai, just to make sure he doesn't, in fact, want a giant chaperone.

Kasyr , despite Satoshis 'invitation', could do without a chaperone- something that has him taking the lead in their little sortie. "I'll pass, mon amour. Which es to say- I far prefer having your company all to myself."

Satoshi is going to enjoy her momentary escape from under Tharn's watchful eye. And she's going to see if she can't talk the kensai into a picnic at the arena, as it's always pleasantly deserted this time of night. Satoshi needs a break, after all, before she breaks.
