RP:This Is Not A GF Sanctioned Witch Rescue Mission

From HollowWiki

Whalers' Bar

Summary: When a werewolf rage attack causes Hudson to murder a man on the street, and hot witch Valrae gets caught and sent to prison trying to erase the memories of the guard who witnessed it, Hudson goes behind Alvina's back and hires Blut. Blut agrees to break Valrae out of prison, for a price.

Hudson is seated off in a relatively secluded corner with a pitcher of ale that he's hardly dented. It's here more for social purposes than serious consumption. Hudson doesn't do a lot of drinking now that he's got a pregnant woman at home, so best to go easy with the stuff lest his now-shot tolerance betray him. He is reading a paper, watching the door and the bar, waiting for the guy who'd answered his advertisement for a very well paying but extremely dangerous gig. If Blut were to inquire with the barkeep for Hudson, he'd be pointed to the man himself.

Blut entered the tavern in his assassin garbs straight from a mission as he talks to the bar tender asking for the client who pointed out the client as Blut left behind a ring. Blut approached Hudsons table as he sat down "So you called me for a job" asked in a voice completly void of emotion as he gazed at his client.

Hudson, after a gander about them, appraises the man who's seated himself across from him. Now is not the time for second thoughts but he's having them. Hudson is no CIA operative, he's a jock who runs a dust cooking operation. He hopes that Blut is professional and with discretion enough for the both of them. He offers the guy a firm handshake and some beer. "Yeah," says Hudson in a low tone, not quite satisfied that this is a prudent course of action but Leeroy Jenkinsing it anyway. "How much would you quote me for breaking someone out of Cenril prison?"

Blut shook Hudsons hand before falling into deep though thinking about the many factors that may fall into this. "That depends how many people do you want walking in and how many do you want walking out." (is someone comeing with me and how many people do you want me to break out.) Blut took out a notebook and a ink quill "I'm gonna need the names of our guest their is also the matter of collateral damage do you care how much collateral there will be" Blut asked clearly meaning do you care if anyone dies the same dead look in his eyes still and unmoveing his quill hovering over his notepad. "If it's just me and one comes out I'll charge 2000 gold for the job 1000 gold for the resources and another 1000 for a job well done."

Hudson tries not to look taken aback by the human cost to what he's asking for and the emotionless way Blut puts it to him. Hudson knows that people die because of his own work but he tends to ignore that fact because he's just the guy in the lab. What a question to have to answer, Hudson hesitates. "The prisoner's name is Valrae Ivy Baines," he says at length, watching Blut write her name down. "She's a woman, a witch, held where they keep the magic users. I'd rather there not be much collateral damage, make it look as natural as you can, I don't know, like an inadvertent prison break or something." He drinks from his beer and tries to get a read on the other guy. "That price is fine, so what, I'm 4-k all in if you get it done, mate? I never hired anyone like you, you don't have any concerns about getting caught?"

Blut sighed as he pulled back his hood showing Hudson his own face attached to Bluts body when Blut spoke it was Hudsons voice "don't worry about my well being if I get caught I'll just take a new face and if that is all can you give me a painting better yet list all of her physical features I don't want to save the wrong person." Blut answered his face distorted as it shifted back to Bluts masked face his white hair neatly combed as he looked at Hudson. Blut did not eveal any emotion in his voice as he had his quill hovering over the paper after turning the page writeing at the top Valrae Ivy Baines and catagories titles for all her physical attributes.

Hudson's eyes widen as Blut assumes his voice, alright then, turns out his connection to the underworld is in the serious. "You aren't messing around," he jokes, but he's feeling a chill come over him now. He's literally hiring a hit man! To rescue Valrae/his former side piece! And he didn't consult his girlfriend about it! (Haha lol oops, as if she'd say yes.) People could die! OK, but Valrae won't die, this guy is obviously a take-no-prisoners (pun intended) professional and that's what the situation calls for. Hudson immediately decides to stop contemplating all possible negative collateral effects and to focus entirely on the now-feeling-quite-real possibility that Valrae won't be burned at the stake. "I don't have a painting, I wish I did," he starts, "but she's got long blond hair," he indicates on his own body, "and is short, skinny. Really pretty. Back tattoo of a moon between her shoulder blades." He begins to provide what information he has about the case pending against her: "In terms of timing, there's a uh... hearing soon about her trial, I think when they go to transport her to go see the magistrate that might be a good time." He provides the date, which isn't determined oocly, it's whenever this rescue RP takes place. "Does that uh, does that work? Where are you gonna take her when you get her free?"

Blut shakes his head "that would be the worst time to save her she will be surrounded by guards and anti mages as well as crowds of booing and hissing civilians. I could coordinate a "diversion" to save her but that would result in alot of collateral which you don't want do you. If its soon I could save her within the week in the prison however if you want me to escort her as well I'm going to have to add another 500 gold. Do you want me to take her anywhere specific if you want Darius here can spare her a room he's a part of my group don't worry he can be trusted." Blut reasured Hudson knowing what he was probably thinking. Blut turned the page again adding more details for the mission.

Hudson draws breath sharply through his teeth as Blut explains why rescuing Valrae when she's in transit and being booed and pelted with rocks and/or decaying food isn't a great idea. Fine. Blut's the professional assassin, he knows better. "Let's do an even five thousand, and as soon as you can, because I don't want anyone, and I mean anyone, to find out that I hired you to do this," says Hudson, making eye contact to better communicate his meaning. "Write down this address," he says, before giving the address of a well known exotic dancing establishment in Cenril known as The Office. It also happens to be the center of Hudson's operations - he's a part owner - and the best place to reach him and stash hot witches without tipping off his mum or Alvina. "When you get her out of the jail, she's a witch, so, ask her to put on a glamour to disguise herself, and take her there," explains Hudson. "Uh, say she's my sister, they'll let her hang out in the office while they come get me. They'll give you the rest of the money. I'll do three thousand down now."

Blut smirks as he extends his hand "and whats your name that I'm to say" Blut asks writing down the address with his left showing that he was ambidextrous after you "tell me that and hand me the gold and your sister will return to you soon." Blut asked retaining his emotionless voice the smirk is more of a habit rather than a feeling however anyone who looks into Bluts eyes would feel general unease as Blut now has master level illusions.

Hudson offers Blut a humorless smile. The guy is nothing but efficient and professional, but it's unnerving to be in his presence and actually doing this all the same. It does create some peace of mind, all that's left is to wait now. "Hudson," he says, shifting his leg beneath the table to nudge a small duffel over to Blut's side. Inside is the money. "Be careful with her," he says, abruptly, as the other guy gets up to leave with the cash.

Blut nodded with a smile "she will return to you shortly." Blut exploaded into a flock of crows as he made his exist but only Hudson could see the crows as blut just turned invisible for the rest of the tavern.
