RP:The meeting of two moons

From HollowWiki
Ancient Tree
As you close in to the area, you are suddenly overcome by a thick nothingness. Then comes the rain.. Another step and the rain hardens. A hailing mass soars through the sky, striking deep into the ground, though, as you walk you are not struck. With another step, a dark trunk is plainly visible, though still somewhat shrouded by the mass of mists about you, such a thick fog to block your vision of even your own appendages. The trunk makes way into the sky, so towering it frightens you. Of course, you know where it is you came from, and to travel the exact opposite direction, you would return, but as to what the other directions would lead to, you have no idea. Though, upon glancing up, you notice something bright within the hanging vines. You might be able to climb these sturdy vines to further inspect the light.

Summary:Studier of moon and star... meet spellcaster of moon and star... The two decide to remeet at a later date during a full moon to have a show of Luna's magic when it is at highest potency

Kione trudged on through the woods despite her aching legs. For once the mocha colored woman's plaits were tied back and let her face show. The chrome colored hues was dancing from tree to tree watching for any danger that may opportune her way. As she reached the ancient tree she knew it was time to give her overly worked calves a break. A deep breath was taken into her cheeks as she slowly slid her back down the rough tree bark.

Saraluna was contently perched in that very same sacred tree, a fair distence off the ground conveniently on the opposing side of the trunk, rendering her quite well hidden. As always, she had her special crystalline staff at her side, standing her height, about 5', with the head of it being two cresent moons, one floating above the other, the lower of the two was turned to act like a bowl to contain the higher one. This staff was emiting a very faint offwhite glow, a bracer constructed from the same material was form-fit permenently to her left wrist. Her platinum hair overflowed, neatly tossed behind her back, cascading down her black cloak, which did a fair job of concealing the rest of her form. Her emerald eyes were staring almost lifelessly down at the forest floor beneath her, Finally deciding that she'd been in the tree long enough, she grasped her staff and slipped off the branch, using a small portion of her energies to slow her fall, though she still landed hard enough to slam into the ground and fall on her knees, suddenly forced to use her open right hand to steady herself, so as not to fall over...

Kione heard the thud of a landing and quickly rose from her crouched state. Panic flashed across her eyes as she roamed towards where the sound came from. The glow was faint but made the woman a bit more uncomfortable. "Who is there" her voice broke out.

Saraluna slowly arose from her own state of crouching, by the time the voice rang out from behind her, she was already halfway up to standing. She turned around a bit, slightly startled, though that would have been difficult to detect from her expression, now facing the other woman, Luna looked her over a moment before speaking "Apologies mistress if I startled you..." she paused, "I have no ill intentions.", her waving of her right hand as she spoke seperated her cloak a bit, revealing parts of her tattered clothing underneath, a shirt which reached from collarbone to where the ribs started to end, and a skirt which reached down very loosely just past her knees, both contained a dark-blue color, and showed evidence of a fight having cut into them at some time in their past.

Kione took her silvery gaze over the young lass before jerking her hand away from her swords hilt. "Oh my.." she began to nervously clear her throat. "Well I am sorry if I seemed to come off in a threat way." She took her slender hand to the golden plaits on her head and gently scratched at them. The markings on the girl made the mocha woman flinch as the thought of the pain that accompanied the bruising came running through her veins. "How long have ya been healing?" she asked with a brow lofted in question.

Saraluna had no idea how to answer that question, "Unfortunatly I don't remember anything beyond yesterday." Her reply came softly, her voice naturally smooth, as her hand returned within the folds of her cloak, it returned to conceal her body, there were no visible marks on her flesh, but she really didn't know what had happened to her and why her clothes were damaged so much.

Kione said to you, "Are you from these lands?"

Saraluna shook her head in something akin to surrender, "I know not my origins, I remember almost nothing..." her voice trailed off.

Kione blinked at what the woman had stated. "I had the same problem once. I still cannot remember certain things...." she takes her hand to her blushed cheek. "Its hard.."

Saraluna shrugged underneath her cloak, "Forsooth..." she moved her gaze away, towards a random tree not far off her vision from the woman, "One needn't be held back by losing such a thing, lest we lose who were are as well..."

Kione clapped her hands together and brought them towards her face. A brief pause was there as she thought of what the woman said. "True wisdom is seeping from your mouth.."

Saraluna sighed, "I can only recall my name, Luna, I believe, nothing else comes to me from before awakening in this place a few days ago..." She started to look towards the ground as she spoke, eventually closing her eyes before she finished speaking.

Kione said to you, "Luna as in the name for the Moon?"

Saraluna nodded, "I believe so." she returned her gaze to the golden-haired woman.

Kione takes a step backwards as she allows her silver eyes to burn brightly. "I into the study of the moon and stars..." she pursed her lilac lips. "That is why I have asked..."

Saraluna slowly nods, lips slightly parted as she thinks that through, moon and stars, her energies were derived from the moon, but her spells could also tap into the stars. She looked away again, this time tilting her staff and looking it over for a moment...

Kione was the first time that the woman had paid attention to the staff. "That is quiet beautiful.." she admires the delicate work that was used to produce such. "Do you remember where you might have gotten it?"

Saraluna shook her head, "So far as my memory goes, I have had it forever..." she indirectly made a connection to the fact that she had no memory whatsoever, aside from her name, which was technically a lie, she knew she was a mage, and she knew a little bit about how her spells worked. "I know it has a connection with the moon itself, as does my bracer." She turned her arm so that the 3 bracer would show, still charged so it glew much akin to the staff.

Kione said to you, "I would like to study the way it works one night. Perhaps the next full moon?"

Saraluna said to Kione, "it still works, even in the daylight, just not quite as effective."

Kione said to you, "Really. I would rather wait to see its full power though. "

Saraluna said to Kione, "so i shall be, One of these nights we'll see what happens."

Kione said to you, "So Miss. Luna... Have you ventured out in these lands?"

Saraluna nodded, "a bit," she paused, "But I haven't been too far as of yet."

Kione said to you, "Aye, Well do be careful as you venture. I sense you are that of a wonderer... "

Kione smiled and tossed her hand into the air in a wave. As if it had been carried on the breeze the woman's name had been sent towards the woman. "Maverick.."
