RP:The Second Avian

From HollowWiki

Kelay Way

Fallen leaves and drying sprouts crunch underfoot, as the tamed walkways come to a halt, buried beneath the motley-colored blanket. The veil of nature closes in at the edge of the woodland town of Kelay. Through an outcropping of deep verdant tints, smoke rises from the chimney of a stately home just east of here, while a narrow dirt path juts off to the north. Southward, you spy the beginning of a well paved road heading east.

Brennia was walking through Kelay to make her way to the beach. She didn't feel like flying at the moment so she was merely walking. What's wrong with walking? Don't judge her. With thoughts of home haunting her dreams lately she felt this heavy curiosity to try and fly back there real quick to see if everything is okay. Her plump lips part to let out a soft sigh as her hand runs through her shiny and long black hair and in doing so reveals the tattoo pattern that not only covers most of her body all the way up her neck, but edges her face beautifully and intricately… Almost regal looking against her caramel complexioned skin. Her massing onyx shaded wings that start over the top of her head down to her ankles at her 5'11 height are tucked tightly against her curvaceous frame.

Tyler is walking the opposite direction of Brennia down the way - the human constantly looking over his shoulder and seemingly clumsy as his worn boots lose grip on the amass of fallen leaves and the occasional ice patch from the winters air. His caution behind him would offer little aid as the human manages to run head first into the avian, sending him on a crash course with the earth bum first. As he lands his hand is swift to rub at his head while he attempts to press the stinging pain away. It isn't until he opens his eyes to take view of the one he has collided with and his mouth falls slightly open, "I, uh, I'm s-s... sorry." The male manages to stammer out, his anxiety taking a vice grip as he examines the avian before him, her being only the second he has seen since he has become a resident of Hollow. He can't help but fell well under dressed. A pair of cargo pants that have been torn into make-shift shorts, knee-high socks, rugged boots and a plain black shirt with a frayed scarf make up his 'fashion' for the evening. His skin tinted red from the chilled breeze that burns against his skin.

Brennia fell right to her arse as well instantly after their head on collision and she rubs her head already. Her own leather boots not offering any swift movement to avoid such a clash. She starts to chuckle softly before her Royal Blue's catch sight of this human and a soft smile comes across her lips. She dusts her leather pants that seem to hug to her form since she obviously doesn't have a typical body type and straightens her blouse which does the same thing in her bust area. "No, it's perfectly fine!" She helps herself up and inspects her massive black wings for any dirt or debris. If one were to look closer at her wings they would see hues of deep green and blues playing in the lights and they looks so very soft and cozy.

Tyler doesn't speak as the avian rises to her feet quicker than he. Instead, he finds himself continuing to take in her form. This world was far different than his own dominated by the human race and Brennia just happened to be one of the few creatures that didn't nearly make the man piss himself but instead followed a depiction of angels of lore. Realizing that he was being an ass by staring Tyler swiftly shakes his head to clear his mind and struggles to get back to his feet. Once he is fully erect once more his knees are shaking, it's hard to say if it is from the anxiety or the cold, either way, he looks like an idiot (or a child). The man's own Caramel hues line up with Brennia's Royal Blues and he swallows the lump in his throat. "I, I-I-I didn't mean too. I was just, erm, the ground's kind of and well I, just, er..." He falls silence in frustration of his stuttering and places his face into his palm for a moment releasing a defeated sigh. "I'm sorry." he repeats - his face a bright red as he embarrasses himself further.

Brennia continues to smile at the human because she thinks this bashful act is adorable so she reached out to the form that stands an inch or two taller than her (though her wings that span over the top of her head give her the illusion of being taller.)Placing both of her hands on his shoulders she looks him in the eyes and says, "Don't worry about it, no harm done!" She scoffs lightly, "I've had words 'run ins' about this land." She chuckles softly again, hoping to ease his shyness and if she was close enough to see bite marks that turned to scars on both sides of her neck/shoulder area that peek out under a beautiful emerald choker humming with some sort of magic. The deep emerald stone that covers most of her neck area seems to stand out against the black ink and alluring hue of her skin tone. She looks over his shoulder, guessing that was the reason they clashed, "What are you running from anyway, Sir?"

Tyler feels his body go tense as Brennia places her hands on his shoulders. The human locking up for a few seconds before he begins shivering like mad, likely to blame it on the cold if asked. His eyes appear to either be twitching or maybe he is just blinking incredibly fast. At her question, his ears perk and he is quick to give an answer. "Running? Wha-what? I-I'm not runnin' from anything. I, erm, I just..." He glances toward the sky, which is slowly growing darker, allowing small white stars to appear burning light years away. "I just didn't want to be out in the dark. Yeah, the dark. Cold. Erm, crooks, all that bad stuff!" He drops his stare back to the avian and forces a toothy smile, obviously a fake as he tries very hard not to look anywhere about her besides her eyes. He fears sending a signal that might have him clocked in the head and left in the way.

Brennia started chuckling at him a bit again before releasing his shoulders. "Is it really that cold out here?" Referring to his shivering and a clever smirk because she can see right through him. "Since it's about to get dark would you like to take refuge inside somewhere?" She felt bad actually, she didn't mean to make him more nervous. "Just calm down, everything is alright…" She says this not knowing of his situation, but this is just her laid back attitude. She continues trying to sooth him with a warm tone in her voice, "If any crooks come by we'll just fly away" A shrug comes to her again.

Tyler would allow his eyes to fall closed as Brennia releases him followed by a deep inhale through his nose and exhale escaping from chapped lips. He remains frozen like this for a good fifteen seconds before finally allowing his eyes to make an appearance once more. He offers the woman before him another smile, a bit more realistic this time as he shakes his head. "No, I think I'm alright. I don't much like the public places around here." He lies through his teeth, his room currently rented in the Kelay Tavern served as quite the resting ground. His shaking has ceased and he waves his hand to her. "I'm sorry. I'm just a bit, shy?, I guess you would say. I don't really speak to new people very well." His sight falls to her head and he notes the area where they had collided. "You sure you're alright?"

Brennia smiles warmly again before rubbing her head, "Psh, just a small bump. As I said, I've gotten worse." She allows her Blue gaze to travel up and down this human and she holds out her hand on greeting, "Hi, my name is Brennia and I am not shy." Her wings slowly stretch out and back again from them being sore since she was flying everywhere lately. When her wings do this it adds the illusion that is much more powerful and grand than she really is, which is such a contrast to her actual being.

Tyler seems to falter for a moment as Brennia allows her wings to span out and his usually pale complexion somehow seems to go brighter. Shifting his gaze from her wings to the offered hand he tries to recover from his fearful expression. "Oh, Hi, Erm, Bre... Bra... Brenn-ia? Brennia!" He takes her hand in his and has a quick conflict of the mind. Does he tell her his real name of provide an alias? She knows his face... screw it. "I'm Tyler! I would say it's nice to meet you but I'm not sure if the feeling is mutual."

Brennia watched him become flustered once more and after shaking his hand she makes an 'aw!' sound and motions like she is pinching his cheeks, but doesn't. "You are so adorable I just want to pinch your cheeks." She giggles softly, "Yes Tyler the feeling is mutual, hun." She straightens her clothes again before meeting his gaze, "So, what in the world made you crash into me Tyler?" She said in an interested and friendly tone since she wasn't angry about the fact at all.

Tyler feels ridiculed as the woman makes such a remark in his direction. His tolerance for the setting growing lower and lower by the second as he becomes borderline offended, quickly retracting his hand and crossing his arms. He finds himself growing a bit annoyed by Brennia's questioning of his collision once again though he plays hard to ensure his expression does not betray him. "I, um..." He swallows again before sticking a thumb out to point behind him. "I wasn't paying attention to be honest. A bit of a klutz, and as said, I'm not too fond of the dark." Glancing to the stars yet again the man would nod as he finds his way out of the engagement. "Speaking of, I've got to be getting home. I'm sure the families worried sick!" He has no family. Nor a real home. But these are the first words to come to mind and he presses past Brennia and keeps his arms crossed. The severity of his potential rude attitude becomes apparent and he turns on a heel to wave to the avian while he continues walking backwards. "It was nice meeting you, Br-Bra... ma'am! I'm sure we'll run into one another again soon!" Another forced smile before he turns to continue toward the tavern. His teeth furrowed as the emotionally distraught human battles himself over ill and gentle thoughts of the avian woman. He needed to get out of Kelay. All these people were getting to him.

Brennia started to feel quite bad for only trying to be friendly and her expression quickly changed from cheerful and happy to quiet and humbled. "I am sorry, I didn't aim to insult you or make you feel uncomfortable…" She turns to stand and watch him go and she sighs softly, "Its Brennia!" She calls after him before waving goodbye to this brief run in. After he turns away she goes back to rubbing her head again and then rubbing her stomach, not feeling all that well suddenly. She stands there and kind of pouts since this was the second most unpleasant first meeting with someone.
