Frostmaw Tavern

Kelovath is standing in front of the board within the tavern. His arms are folded across his armored chest, amber eyes idly looking over the board, even though he had already read everything on it more than once. Quite simply, the paladin is waiting for something. Lucky for him, he's extremely patient, not that he's in much of a hurry to go back outside. Surely something he'll never be able to get use too. The cold. His gaze slowly comes off of the board and to the bartender. A dip of his head given to the retired man and before long, the paladin sits down at a nearby table. Patiently waiting.

Satoshi doesn't make Kelovath wait long, although she's unaware of this fact as she ambles into the tavern with a Frost Giant guard on her heels. A nod to Drargon precedes a glance about the room, amber-flecked eyes passing over and eventually returning with sudden recognition to the armored paladin seated nearby. Smiling to herself, the little 'avatar' makes her way toward the man, offering a a hail in a feigned formal drawl as she approaches. "Good evening, Paladin of Arkhen. It's been a some time, hasn't it?" Stopping at the table, Satoshi and guard merely wait for a response, the former grinning playfully as the latter remains expressionless and alert.

Kelovath quickly stands as Satoshi enters the establishment, his eyes growing wide once he realizes who exactly Satoshi is. It truly had been quite some time since their last meeting. With a grin, the paladin bowed at the waist to the avatar. "My, my! If it isn't the little cat that couldn't get up? Well haven't you been busy, eh?" The paladin chuckles lightly, motioning towards the table he was previously seated at. "Take a seat, please. I hope this meeting isn't pulling you away from something important." His eyes remained on Satoshi, waiting for her to either accept the offered seat or not. Whichever, it did not matter to the paladin.

Satoshi refrains from taking a seat for a moment, turning to the guard as he stoops so that she can speak easily to him. "Would you get us refreshments, please, Tharn?" A light, almost affectionate pat to the giant's cheek dismisses him to his task before Satoshi seats herself across from Kelovath, still grinning. "Oui. I've been busy. But you've caught me in a moment of spare time. And even if not, the least I could do is pause other affairs to meet with you." Interlocking her fingers, the feline rests her chin upon her hands, appearing perfectly business-like as she levels her gaze on the paladin. "You saved me that time before. Now is a good time to pay my debt to you. It's likely what you seek es in the sacred libraries here."

Kelovath silently watches the discussion between Satoshi and her guard. And then, once she seated herself, the paladin did the same. Once he was seated, he adjusted slightly, making himself a bit more comfortable. Armor sure can be a pain in the...The paladin mimicked the grin given to him by the avatar. "It's not quite what -I'm- seeking, but what Arkhen wishes me to find. And I think it's exactly what I'll need for my journey into the Chaos realm." Once again, the paladin adjusted his seating position, his eyes finally shifting away from the feline and to the guard. "I doubt he's going to like me going that far into Frostmaw, huh?" He sighed lightly, shrugging his armored shoulders and looked back to Satoshi.

Satoshi follows Kelovath's gaze to Tharn as the guard slowly returns, bearing a tray laden with steaming food and chilled drinks that's set down upon their table carefully. "No, none of them will like that. The land is sacred, and Aramoth's territory. But, as I said, I owe you a favor, et I think I've a way to ease some of the displeasure this will cause." Offering Tharn a grateful nod, Satoshi pauses speaking to help herself to a bit of rabbit stew. Between bites of the tavern special, she explains to Kelovath, "This is... a paladin's quest, really. There isn't a people more understanding of god-directed tasks than the Frost Giants. That fact will be enough to ease a fair portion of the council's disapproval. And the ones I've planned to escort you should allay any other worries. But first," the feline frowns slightly, setting the bowl down, "what exactly -is- it you're looking for. And what does it have to do with the Chaos Realms?"

Kelovath also nods to the Giant as the food and drinks are presented. He reached out and grabbed a water, sipping it lightly as Satoshi spoke in between bites. "I am looking for a book, according to Arkhen. And inside of this book, tells legend of a weapon based upon pure goodness. A gift from the gods, as it were." His gaze lowered somewhat, looking at the food, but not -really- looking at it. After being silent for a few seconds, he continued on. "And as for the Chaos Realm, I plan on traveling into the realm, along with some companions, to help those that are already there and to capture and take control of the castle within the realm." Now thinking that he was talking too much, the human paused there and took a careless look around the tavern and drank a bit more of the water.

Satoshi studies her bowl of stew closely, lost in thought a moment after taking in Kelovath's words. "This is a land of living legends. If such a divine book is anywhere, it is in Aramoth's library of Light." Looking up suddenly, Satoshi offers Tharn and Kelovath a faint smile as she continues. "I can grant you passage to that library, and that library only, along with the required escort. But I can't let you take the book with you, as it's Aramoth and Frostmaw's guarded property. You'll have to record by heart what you may find there." This last demand seems to be just the thing needed to stop a protest that's been building on Tharn's lips since the start of the discussion, leaving him to simply cough vaguely. Clearly, the Snow Maiden is also guarding Aramoth's protected lands and he has little to worry about.

Kelovath was happy to hear that what he was looking for would be located within the library. And even more so, when he was allowed access to that location. "I honestly didn't expect to be able to take the book with me. And that's fine. Something so important will easily be remembered and taken to heart." A quick glance was given to the guard, which was then returned to Satoshi, a smile showing on his features. "I'm sure you allowing me into the Library is putting you into a delicate position, but I assume you I will do nothing to further make this decision to cause any disturbance for you." Again, the paladin flashed a smile to Satoshi. "Though, I don't think this 'debt' you think you owe me is quite fair. A small energy boost is nothing compared to allowing me into something so sacred and protected. There must be something else I could do to ease any uncertainty you might have?"

Satoshi flashes a quick grin with those words, mentally noting this Paladin as one worth keeping around. "As much a businessman as a paladin, it seems. So... to balance this debt out properly... Hrm." A feigned moment of thoughtfulness before, "You're the parson of Larket, no? I'm sure you can whisper a few complimentary words about me into the Queen's ear, with a position like that. We're not the on the best of terms currently, and we're due for a meeting soon. Until then, however..." the magus rises to her feet with a reluctant sigh, Tharn taking his place at her side in a fluid motion. "I've a council to win over with this affair. I'll let you know when we're able to pay Aramoth's library a visit." Dipping her head once in farewell, feline and giant take their leave.

Satoshi said to Kelovath, "Oh, as a note," she pauses at the door to add with a wink, "your escort will consist of Tharn here, a monk of Aramoth if he can be wrangled, and myself. Adieu~."
